Chapter 12: The Sky is Rising
(Wasabi Dojo)
"Defenders. Your mission today is crucial." started Rudy, pacing in front of the Galactic Defenders. At the serious tone, they began warming up for an upcoming fight.
"It is why I rely on a brave, unrelenting team to guard our planet, our people, our very lives as we know them. Protecting my new bronze Bobby Wasabi monument!" declared Rudy.
"…Are you kidding me?! I skipped a date with Sabrina over this?!" screamed Chase, slumping like the others. After the Spike incident, they've been seeing each other more often, going on dates and such.
"Serious, who'd attack a statue?" asked Kaz, shocked.
(Seaford Plaza)
"OK, I guess everyone wants to attack a statue of a fat guy." groaned Zombie Werewolf, tearing off two mechanical legs from a Bug Gang thug.
"Seriously, who wears bug suits? You guys fan of Clancy or something?" quipped Zimbug, shooting a thug down.
"They can wear whatever they want. Nothing's gonna get past us!" grinned Subterra Elico, cutting through some claws. Unnoticed by the Defenders, a random thug is sneaking towards the statue, humming to himself.
"This is kind of easy-peasy!" laughed Grim Creeper, cutting down more machinery.
"Too easy-peasy! I'm just gonna close my eyes and challenge myself." grinned Hex, doing so. Without turning her head, she fired two Phantom Orbs, knocking down two thugs.
"It's like I can see a threat before it even happens. We are on fire!" laughed Creeper, charging more power into his scythe before swinging it, performing the Spirit Scythe, and knocking down the remaining thugs while cutting their machines.
"Wow! You took them all out, Jack." gushed Hex, hugging and kissing her boyfriend.
"E~W!" gagged the others. It's not that they hate romance, but who in their right mind would kiss a skeleton?

(Back to the team)
After making sure they're down, the Defenders launched Creeper into the air repeatedly.
"WE RULE! WE RULE! WE RULE! WE—"
"AAAHHH!" screamed Rudy, looking at demeaning graffiti on the statue's belly. Noticing it, the Defenders groaned.
'Oh no.'
(Mission Creek Swap Meet)
After catching the artist and cleaning the statue, the Defenders split, relieved yet disappointed that they got too cocky.
"We need to step up our game so we can stop villains before they can get the drop on us. Why are we even here? What are you looking for?" rambled Kaz, following Chase through the event.
"I'll let you know when I find it," answered Chase. They eventually stopped at a stand.
"Something I can help you find, dear?" asked the same gypsy that sold Gwen the Keystone years ago. Before Chase could decline, something caught his eye. It's a stone resembling a Charm of Bezel, only the lines are white and shaped similar to an eye.
"How much for this?" asked Chase, grabbing it.
"You know what? Consider it free after all you and your friends have done for this city." smiled the gypsy.
"Really? Thanks!" replied Chase, leading Kaz away. They eventually found the others; Ben shuffling a Sumo Slammers deck, Jack buying a new skateboard, and Kim getting makeup.
"Hey, you two. Found anything?" asked Ben, hoisting the deck.
"Yep. What if I told you I could make an invention that can predict future crimes? Prevent evil acts?" asked Chase.
"You're not making a time machine, are you?" asked Ben worriedly.
"Nope! Trust me, it'll be completely different!" assured Chase.
"It was my idea!" added Kaz.
"Now that I have everything to build the device, we can stop all the evil in the world once and for all!" declared Chase.
"Amazing!" smiled Kim. They then started following Chase out of the meet.
"So how long do you think it'd take to make the invention?" asked Jack skeptically. He and his girlfriend are the only ones that haven't had a time travel adventure, so he has a right to be a skeptic.
"A machine this important can take weeks… maybe years… perhaps entire decades…" trailed Chase.
(Rustbucket 3, Space)
"O~r… all of 8 minutes, 1 leisurely afternoon." finished Chase, leaning against a large satellite-like telescope aimed at the floor window. The others gaped. He wasn't kidding!
"You've… Did you use Hynoid for this?" asked Ben.
"No!"

"Yes…" sighed Chase. No matter how smart he is, he still doesn't have super speed. "Forget about that. Just one last piece and my Quantum Evillite will be fully operational." He slid the stone into the lens. It gave off an odd blue glow.
(Half-hour explanation later)
"So when you'd look through it, the Evillite can detect any evil on Earth." finished Chase.
"Dibs!" shouted Kaz, running and looking into the lens.
"Chase, did you run any tests on it to make sure it's accurate?" asked Ben dubiously.
"I'm with Ben on this. I'd trust my own eyes and ears over—"
"The Evillite just found the Circus Freaks! Science rocks!" whooped Kaz, cutting off Jack.
"Let me see. (pushes Kaz aside) They're just playing Poker!" observed Jack.
"Wait for it…" grinned Chase.

"Out with it, dude!" pushed Kaz.
"(paces) You see, the Evillite not only shows us where the villains are at any given time but it also detects evil that's going to happen. Evil that isn't evil yet, but will be, unless we stop it. Otherwise, what would be the point of building this thing?" explained Chase. Curious, Kim tries it out.
"Wait… it looks like the girl—"
"Frightwig," added Ben.
"Frightwig just lost a round of it… Wait, why is she standing up… and getting a pole out of some closet… OH GOD MY EYES!" screamed Kim, falling and covering them.
"What's wrong? (checks) Nice…" grinned Kaz. It didn't take long for the others to find out.
"That's not evil… Disturbing, yeah, but still not evil." gagged Ben.
"That's right… Shake that… Wait, it looks like the Fingerhead and Dentist-hater are showering her with cash from a duffel bag." frowned Kaz.
"Does it say anything on it… maybe a clue on what bank they're gonna rob?" asked Ben. Kaz nodded.
"Look, guys, there's just something about using this thing that raises the question of free will VS determinism that just doesn't sit right with me," warned Jack.
"Jack, save the philosophy for later! Right now, we gotta bust these freaks before—" A yellow flash cuts Ben off.
"Flashwing!" The Earth Skylander opens the hatch and flew out faster than the boys could react.

"After her!" declared Jack.
(Random bank)
The Circus Freaks laughed as they walk to the register.
"Give us the money if you know what's good for you, toots." grinned Acidbreath. Frightwig brought out bags for them… only to cry out when Crystal Shards cut the hairs holding them.
"What the—"
"RAWR!" roared Wildmutt, barging in and tackling Thumbskull to the ground.
"It's Tennyson and his friends!" growled Acidbreath. He inhaled before breathing out his namesake.
"Ability Activate: Gun Red — Slash Sword!" intercepted Pyrus Taylean, rushing in and throwing red energy kunai. They exploded in the acidic mist, launching Acidbreath back. The Circus Freaks got thrown together; Frightwig by a Vac-Blaster and Thumbskull by Wildmutt.
"We gotta retreat!" ordered Acidbreath. Before they could, a ring of fire was created around them; courtesy of Nova Master.
"Stay inside if you know what's good for you," warned Nova Master. Once the police arrived and arrested the Circus Freaks, the Defenders walked out, reverting.
"Hopefully, that nightmare won't happen," said Ben.
"Speak for yourself." retorted Kim, throwing glares at Frightwig.
"I wonder what else we'll find through the Evillite," said Jack.
(Forest)
"Well, that's all I had on the calendar for today." thought the Ambusher out loud, plucking some rare flowers. Just as he walked into an open space, he got surrounded by Goop, Strike Ninja, Darkus Hynoid, Bash, and Sonic Boom.
"Busted, Bush-brain, before you could do anything truly heinous!" insulted Goop. The Ambusher remained stunned as Goop and Strike Ninja tied him up.
"Eh, seems fair. I was considering doing a little littering later." shrugged the Ambusher casually. Bash ferally grins. Seconds in and they barely had to fight. He might reconsider this Evillite using.
(Random kitchen)
Eat it, eat it
Get yourself an egg and beat it
The alien chefs (Reboot alien design) hum to themselves the Weird Al song as they prepare themselves a group lunch, finishing with a side of chili fries. Samurai grabbed a random condiment and aimed at it.

Before they could sing any further, Humungousaur, Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight, Aquos Reaper, Terrafin, and Sprocket barged in.
"(gasps) Mustard on chili fries?! What kind of sick monsters are you?!" roared Humongousaur.
"None of us even poured it on yet." deadpanned Skewer. Humungousaur's pupils shrank before he slapped his symbol.
(5 seconds later)
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" The alien chefs got blasted out of the restaurant, falling into a dogpile, unconscious.
"Don't. Mess. With. Chili. Fries." growled Ultimate Humungousaur, hand launchers smoking.
"Wasn't that a little overkill?" asked Reaper nervously, more in control. The hyper-evolved Vaxasaurian got close to his face, giving off a murderous glare.
"No. It. Wasn't."
'Note to self; do not tick Ben off.' thought the other Defenders.
(Plaza)
Lord Decibel (Ebomnitrix design) began playing on an electric keyboard, drawing the attention of a bunch of tourists.
"Hey, play some Skynyrd, man!"
"Hmm, don't know that one," replied Decibel curiously, pausing.
"Really? How 'bout… 'The Galactic Defenders Are Here To Bust You Before You Deafen Thousands Of People At An Annarbor Concert'?" asked the same tourist.
"What?!" gasped Decibel. How do these nobodies know…
"You know that tune?!" demanded the tourist. At once, they all removed ID masks, revealing Ninjurtle, Dragunity Javelin, Ventus Delta Dragonoid, Pop Fizz (the one who spoke), and Punk Shock. Before the armored villain can react, the Water Skylander threw a Splash Bomb at him. With an electric-powered suit…
"AAAAHHH!" spasmed Decibel before fainting. Satisfied, the Defenders dragged him off… but not before getting rewarded lifetime backstage passes by Annarbor.
(Rustbucket 3)
"Great work team." started Max, looking at the now human Defenders.
"At this rate, I'll be able to go back to retirement and finally live full-time at my time-share in the Los Angeles Resort and Spa." smiled Max.
"We couldn't have done it without Chase's Evillite. Without it, we would've missed all those threats today." bragged Jack.
"Not to mention we put away some new villains. You'd think with a public group of five superheroes, there'd be fewer." sighed Ben.
"And it felt like we went through some sort of hero montage with how fast it was." ranted Kaz.
"Looked that way. And now that all the villains are in the proverbial corner taking a proverbial time out for the proverbial time being, you can all go home and get some well-earned rest," said Max.
"Sweet! There's a tennis game that Julie's gonna be in. I can call ahead and tell her I won't miss it." smiled Ben.
"A whole afternoon of nothing but chillaxing." sighed Kaz.
"Yes! I can take Sabrina out tonight!" whooped Chase.
"Maybe we can do the same, Jack?" asked Kim.
"Sorry, but I'll be taking night patrol. Crime never rests, and I won't either." denied Jack, sitting at the Evillite.
"Knock yourself out, man." waved off Ben, leading the others out.
"So when we stop the evil before it happens, where do you think it all ends up going?" asked Kaz randomly.

"BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" laughed the Defenders.
"Like evil is an actual thing!" laughed Chase.
"Or… or has a home, or friends, or needs to eat," added Ben.
"Or uses its super-speed to cut in front of students in the food line at the mess hall." giggled Kim.
"Don't quit your day job, Kaz." chuckled Chase. Jack ignored the banter, arms folded as he gazed into the Evillite.
(Days Later)
"Galactic Defenders, Unite! (they barge in) For a balanced breakfast." finished Rudy, gesturing to a feast and standing beside the other mentors (Max, Horace, and the Davenport brothers).
"Oh. We thought you had a new mission for us." sighed Chase.
"I'm surprised to see you all together," added Ben, looking at the mentors.
"Well, we had our first mentor conference last night," explained Douglas.
"Plus, I really wanted someone to say that 'unite' thing since all of Earth's evil got in prison." grinned Donald.
"Seriously, crime rates went down a whopping 95%," added Max. Sighing, the Defenders complied, sitting at the table.
"Good thing, too. I've had a 5 hour-long date with Julie. We've had a romantic dinner, movie night, and ended it at my place with us losing our—"
"We don't wanna know!" cut off the others. They do not need the details of that stuff.
"Anyway, I could've invited her over, but since someone misled us…" said Ben, glaring at the mentors.
"Well, my night with Sabrina was shorter and less… adult. We had a picnic and an outdoor film," added Chase.
"Well, guess who wears black and got a hot date too? This guy!" cheered Kaz, pointing at himself.
"What about you, Kim? Did Jack take you anywhere?" asked Rudy. Before the girl could answer…
"Speak of the devil and he's here!" cheered Ben, seeing Pop Fizz run in.
"Man, pull up a seat and be human!" smiled Chase.
"Good morning, Jack. Hope you had a good night's sleep after all the criminals you put away these past few days," said Max.
"No, he didn't," answered Kim, glaring at Pop Fizz. This concerned everyone. Did they have a fight or something?
"She's right… I've been out stopping crimes… all night long…" yawned Pop Fizz before downing a potion, revitalizing himself. He then threw the empty bottle… into a recycling bin full of others.
"Jack… how long have you been Pop Fizz?" asked Ben, concerned.
"For a few minutes… Used him to make stamina potions… And just stopped some cultists from robbing a mall…" answered the Magic Skylander.
"Are you sure these potions don't have any side effects?" asked Chase.
"I'm Pop Fizz, man. This guy's an expert in potion crafting. Trust me, I'll be up for a lo~ng time."
(Half an hour later)
"Zzzzzzzzzz…" snored Jack, asleep with an eye on the lens. Suddenly, the RB3 shook, waking him up.
"Guys, you better not be doing some sparring over there!" called Jack. Chase ran in, alarmed, and shoved him aside.
"What's happening? (looks into Evillite and gasps) Oh no! There's some sort of black hole over Seaford!" warned Chase. The other Defenders gasped.
"Doesn't that mean…" dreaded Kim, not wanting to finish.
"That it'll be sucking up the world starting from there? Somehow no," said Chase.

"Chase… can you explain?" asked Ben.
"It's not sucking anything… it looks like it's turning into a new planet or something along those lines. The new gravitational pull is probably why there've been reports of gravitational anomalies and violent winds. We need to destroy it!" declared Chase.
"But how?" asked Kim.
"We need to fly the Rust Bucket up to it and show it who's boss!" answered Kaz, going up to the controls.
"Kaz, wait! It's been set on autopilot! If you shut it off—" warned Ben too late. Once Kaz did so, the ship started shaking wildly.
"WHOOPS!"
"TURN IT ON! TURN IT ON!" ordered the other Defenders, holding onto something. Quickly, Kaz did so, stopping the ship. Once it did, the Defenders slammed against the floor.
"My face." groaned Chase.
"My precious…" whined Ben, cradling his legs.
"My back…" Jack rolled onto it.
"My butt…" Kim faked the injury, glancing at Jack. Alas, no response. 'Jerk.'
Once everyone healed, they stood up, walked to Kaz, and…
*SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!*
"OW!"
"Listen to me next time!" ordered Ben.
"OK, so taking a ship would be suicide. Any ideas?" asked Kim.
"Listen, I've been handling all the pre-evil busting in the last few days, so let me take a crack at it." insisted Jack, activating the Skylatrix.
"Jack, wai—" He slammed the core down before Kim could finish.
~Jack's Transformation Sequence~
Blue feathers escaped the Skylatrix and went over Jack's arm. His hand became yellow talons as the Skylatrix sank into his skin before flashing. He spun as his body became consumed with feathers while his remaining hand and feet became talons. His clothes glowed before being replaced by a red armored strap-like belt over his torso, the Skylatrix symbol present on the buckle. White feathers pop around the head before a yellow beak follows. Two red eyes with slits open with an intense glare. He spun again, letting a jet-pack equip onto his back with a vacuum-like blaster being linked and grabbed.
"Jet-Vac!"
~End Sequence~
"I'll fly down there and blow the thing out before lunch. (opens hatch) Nay… brunch." said Jet-Vac before flying down the hatch.
"I hope that was the right call." frowned Kim. Chase rechecked the Evillite.
"We totally made the wrong call. That thing got ten times bigger while we stood here! It's getting bigger with each passing second! The best guess I have is that instead of absorbing mass, it's chewing up the very fabric of the spacetime continuum and it won't stop even if the Earth's gone! The whole universe might be in danger!" yelled Chase.
"Alright guys and girl, no more chilling! It's time to take action!" declared Ben, activating the Ultimatrix. The others followed his lead.
~Split-screen Transformation Sequence~
~Ben's Transformation Sequence~
Ben's jacket turns into a red wingsuit, seeping into his jeans. Red veins exit the wrist as two pairs of fingers fused into three-fingered hands. A red scaly tail rips out of his jeans while he loses some muscle, his chest resembling gills. Yellow scales pattern over Ben's face like a mask, covering his mouth and extending into two horns. Lightning flashes onto his chest, marking it and linking to the Ultimatrix symbol. He took off, exposing his talon-like feet.
"Jetray!"
~Kaz's Transformation Sequence~
Yellow armor came out of the Dueltrix, covering Kaz's arm. The boy crouched, letting more armor cover his body. Two dragon wings sprouted from his back, along with purple scales on his body. They finished on his shut eyes, which he then opened, showing black reptilian pupils. He roared while leaning back, showing off his javelin-like armor and the Dueltrix symbol on his chest.
"Light as the Wind, Dragunity Javelin!"
~Chase's Transformation Sequence~
Chase's skin turned crimson red while his fingers and toes became sharp claws. He clenched his fists before an extra claw came from his knuckles while his blue jacket becomes ripped as pale yellow dragon wings grew out of his back and connected to his arms. At the same time. yellow spikes came out of his spine. Silver plating covered his front while orange plating surrounded it. His head became dragon-like before he grew a yellow horn blade from his snout. He shut his eyes as he roared before he opened his eyes, revealing blue pupils while the Bakutrix symbol formed on his chest.
"Delta Dragonoid!"
~Kim's Transformation Sequence~
Kim got on all fours, black-feathered wings sprouting from her back. More black feathers formed over her body, clothes included. Out of nowhere, chains bursts and cover her wrists before turning into braces, the Skylatrix symbol forming on the left brace. Kim brought her head up, now bird/dragon-like with yellow slitted eyes.
"Sonic Boom!"
~End Transformation Sequence~
(With Jack)
"Tally Ho!" declared Jet-Vac, shooting blasts of air at the singularity. He yelped as they bounced back to him before dodging.
"Why did I think I could take this on alone?! And… why… am… I… tired?" yawned Jet-Vac, the potion wearing off. Drifting asleep, he fell helpless to the sucking of the singularity.
"Jack!" shouted the Defenders, flying to where he was.
"He's… he's gone." sobbed Sonic Boom.
"I can't believe it." gulped Dragonoid. This feels the same as his only time travel adventure.
"Alright, no holding back!" growled Jetray, slapping the symbol, popping out the prongs.
~Ultimate Transformation Sequence~
In a flash of lightning, Jetray changed from red/yellow to blue/green and his height doubled. Lightning arcs onto his wings, forming black rings. Squatting, Jetray then took off, lightning hanging onto his shoulders like a cape. The edges of his wings became jagged and the lightning marks on his chest flashed, a black stripe going down the symbol.
"Ultimate Jetray!"
~End Sequence~
"HA! Not a classic! You owe me 20 bucks Chasie!" laughed Javelin. Dragonoid grumbled.
"Wait, what?!" blinked Ultimate Jetray.
"We had a bet going on about what your next new Ultimate was gonna be. I figured you would try one of your new guys from last year since the classic streak wouldn't last long," explained Javelin.
"And I thought Kaz would be wrong about that," added Dragonoid.
"If we survive, we're talking about this! Tenta-Storm!" screamed Ultimate Jetray, blasting neuroshock beams from his eyes and tail along with lightning from the circles on his wings; an upgraded version of the Tri-Shot move he performed during the Vilgax Attacks adventure.
"Got it, boss. Javelin Spin!" screamed Javelin, straightening and spinning, forming a tornado that is enlarging.
"He might've been a jerk lately, but he was still our friend! Ability Activate — Meteor Strike Dragon!" screeched Dragonoid, firing at the singularity.
Sonic Boom says nothing, only firing a Roar.
'We won't let your sacrifice go to waste, Jack!'
(Inside the singularity)
"Uuuhhh… my head… I really shouldn't have done that…" groaned Jack, waking up. Once he did, he notices two things.
One; he's timed out and floating.
And two; there's nothing but blackness all around him.
"Am I in the black hole?! (taps Skylatrix) Ben?! Kaz?! Chase?! KIM?!" called Jack.

"Well… There's a first time for everything… (deeply inhales while rearing a leg) SONOVA—" swore Jack as he kicks, cutting himself off once he felt something. Curious, he struck at the spot repeatedly until a purple crack opens up.
"Busted, Bush-brain, before you could do anything truly heinous!"
"WHAT THE—" gasped Jack, seeing a memory.
"Eh, seems fair. I was considering doing a little littering later."
"This was when we beat Ambusher a few days ago." gasped Jack. Is he somehow outside time? The question left his mind once he noticed a purple wisp in the vision.
"What was that? It's the same color as the blackhole thing," noted Jack. Wary, he floated over to a random spot and struck it once, opening another crack.
"Mustard on chili fries?! What kind of sick monsters are you?!"
"That was when we stopped those alien chefs… And learned not to get on Ben's bad side. (shivers before seeing the smoke) There's that mist again. Please don't tell me this is going where I think it's going." dreaded Jack. In a rush, he struck multiple spots. Stopping at the last one, he sees his team dragging Lord Decimal off. As he dreaded, another wisp showed up.
"So Kaz was right, evil is an actual thing that has to go somewhere if no one's doing it. (gasps) The black hole! That's where all the evil energy went to! Without any conduits to act through, it gathers into some kinda pure, unstable form, offsetting the universe. It must've started when the Evillite was used and kept building up when it was repeated in rapid succession. If Chase hadn't—" froze Jack, arms folded. Was he about to blame the guy trying to help, one of his greatest friends (best friends go to Wasabi Warriors, even Eddie after he went outta state to care for his grandparents), for this?!
"No… It's my fault… I should've controlled myself… I was addicted to that machine and put everyone in danger… I'm not a hero…"
"I see you've learned your lesson."
"What the—?!" Alarmed, Jack spun. Stalking toward him is a being shrouded in darkness, with hooves echoing in the void. The only detail he can find is that the figure's twice his height and female.
"Correct?" Despite the ominous appearance, her presence isn't setting off any bells in Jack's head. Once her words were processed, he lowered his head.
"Yeah… that a hero willing to sacrifice everything… isn't a hero at all. Without any friends or family to protect… you're nothing but a tool… A walking shell of what you were…" realized Jack. Like the other males' matrices, the red Skylatrix reactivated itself, giving off a bright red glow.
"What's going on?" asked Jack, looking at the shrouded silhouette.
"You are being rewarded for learning the value of friendship and bonds." answered the figure, conjuring a crimson ball of energy. It then drifted to the Skylatrix.
"What is that?" asked Jack, amazed.
"A key."
(Outside)
"Anything?" asked Ultimate Jetray after Sonic Boom sent a Roar at the singularity.
"Sorry, not even Contact Fusion's working." sighed the Fusion. Like the other two, he has Neos' figure, with the blades being gold and his body covered in red scales, with his torso being metallic grey. On his back are red/orange wings similar to Chaos Neos'. His feet and hands are red versions of the DARK/LIGHT Fusion also. His head is semi-metallic, with his horn resembling a bang and having dark blue eyes. Around his waist is a black belt with the Dueltrix symbol acting as a buckle and on his chest is the Bakutrix symbol, both the same color as his eyes. This is Elemental Hero Dragonoid Neos — Delta Form.
"Is there ANYTHING we can do to stop this?" sighed Sonic Boom, sad. Ultimate Jetray glanced at his symbol. With his hyperspeed, he could get Gwen and Kevin's keys and use…
"Supernova Black Hole!"
"Wha—" was all Dragonoid Neos said before the singularity burst into ripples, launching in every direction. Amazed, Dragonoid Neos defused.
"The singularity, it exploded!" gawked Dragonoid.
"Swe— Uh, incoming!" warned Neos. Yelling, everyone flew around, dodging ripples of energy. When they vanished, the Defenders regathered to see a black shape flying from the spot of the singularity. Those with heightened sight can see the red eyes and Skylatrix symbol on the chest.
"Jack, you're alive!" smiled Sonic Boom.
"He's back!" grinned Ultimate Jetray.
"Buddy!" fist-pumped Neos.
"Jack the Hero!" cheered Dragonoid.
"It's Blackout now!" smiled the Dark Skylander.
"Congratulations on getting your 11th form." smiled Ultimate Jetray. Sonic Boom's smile lessens at that.

"Jack, where'd you go? We thought the thing pulled you apart like taffy!" asked Rudy, everyone gathered in the ship.
"I thought that at first, too. When I woke up, I was inside that thing. From what I saw, it was made from the evil energy we 'purged' from the criminals, thanks to the Evillite!" revealed Jack. Everyone gasped, shocked.
"Called it!" smirked Kaz.
"But here's the craziest thing of all; I was the reason the ball got filled with so much negativity. I was so obsessed with stopping evil that I subconsciously boosted the Evillite with my own negativity and threatened the balance of the universe!" frowned Jack.
"How can you boost it? I looked over the schematics once with Brainstorm, and nothing on the Evillite can absorb emotional energy," asked Ben. Chase widened his eyes, paling.
"I… think I might know how it was possible." gulped Chase, walking to the Evillite, taking out the stone, and showing it to everyone.
"A Charm of Bezel?!" gawked Ben and Kaz.
"A Charm of what?" asked Douglas.
"Magical talismans that give the user unique powers," explained Max, remembering Gwen's Lucky Girl days.
"I can't believe I'm seeing a source of Lucky Girl's power with my own eyes." awed Kaz. Ben rolled his eyes before noticing something.
"Wait, the Charms had purple lines, that one has white," noted Ben.
"The Keystone was red." countered Max.
"The whole thing was, Grandpa. These are only the lines." countered Ben. Max hummed, taking it.
"I'll have Gwen look into this," noted Max.
"Good. Anyway, I found out that positivity and negativity need to be balanced. In other words, good needs evil, and vice versa." finished Jack.
"Yeesh, talking about saving the brain drains for later, am I right?" chuckled Chase.
"Actually, Jack's 100% right." nodded Ben.
"YOU KNEW SOMETHING LIKE THIS COULD HAPPEN?!" screamed his teammates.
"Not this specifically, but… I should've mentioned it before going along with this. I let my previous future knowledge direct me instead of my gut." sighed Ben.
"You're not the only one with a time travel adventure," noted Kaz, remembering meeting his future self.
"We should've tried harder to talk Jack out of overusing the Evillite," added Chase, Future Leo in his mind. Everyone remained silent, processing this.
"I just have one more question. Who're they?" asked Kim, pointing to the side. Everyone followed to see…
"Where are we?" asked a teenager, looking around with four others, the five around a year or so younger than the Defenders.
"You're in the Rust Bucket III flying over California," answered Chase, glimpsing at the map.
"Who are you five?" asked Max, finding the five familiar along with Ben and Horace.
"Jason."

The three bugged their eyes out, recognizing the teens before them.

Omarnosian10: Also, once I finished the season, the series will be on temporary hiatus. I said series because I'm planning to make 7 Galactic Defender stories for seasons. Except for this, the original, the future seasons will have "The Galactic Defenders" then the name of the season/saga.
Ben: Before anyone asks, the mystery alien that I got from Skylar won't come until the middle of season 2. And the author got a design and name in mind. No spoilers, though.
