Chapter 77
The following Saturday, Natalia woke up in the early morning, smiling as the previous evenings activities with her soon to be wife flashed through her head. Things had gotten back to normal, with Olivia working as she always had at The Beacon and going back to their normal routine at the house. Natalia turned her head and kissed the golden streaked locks of Olivia's hair. She wrapped her arms tighter around her love and signed in contentment. She laid there and listened to the sound of the wind blowing through the trees. The sun was just barely starting to rise, casting orange and red rays through the window of their bedroom.
She kissed Olivia's head again as she thought about their life and the events that had brought her here, to this December morning, lying in bed with this beautiful woman, watching the first snow fall of the year as her lover slept peacefully on her shoulder.
The house was quit. She was secure in the knowledge that all three of her children were still slumbering in their beds. In just three weeks she would be married to the wonderful women sleeping beside her. She thought of her life as a teenager, raising Rafe alone on the cold streets of Chicago. She thought about the day Daisy arrived at her apartment in Chicago to tell her about Nicky being alive and in Springfield. She thought about her first days here. The way she had sought after Nicky, stolen him from the woman that held his heart.
She thought about Olivia then. How hard it must have been to be sick and alone. She wished she could have been there for her. Then again, maybe she was, in a weird way. Her husband had been there for her, been a shoulder for her to lean on. She thought of the way Olivia looked the day she had found her sprawled out on her hotel room floor pale and her head bleeding. She thought of the day of her wedding to Nicky. How even though she was so angry to see her standing there, she couldn't help but notice how beautiful Olivia was when she opened that cabin door.
Then she thought of the aftermath of that moment. How she had let blind rage cause her to do something that almost cost her the love of her life. She remembered locking Olivia in the cabin bathroom, the way she felt that she had won. She had stopped the great Olivia Spencer from ruining her wedding. Then she remembered the way Olivia looked when she and Nicky returned to the cabin, how small and fragile and frightened she looked.
She thought of how her stomach had churned when she realized she could have killed Olivia that day. She cost her a heart and the woman she didn't know she loved yet had almost died. She hugged Olivia even tighter at that thought. Her mind moved forward. She thought of how Olivia looked lying in that hospital bed, barely holding onto life. Then a small smile spread across her face for a moment, when the image of a sweet little girl holding out an orange daisy to her appeared in her mind. She thought of how in that moment she knew she couldn't let the infuriating women die. She remembered how Olivia looked after the transplant. After she had received Nicky's heart. She remembered the cold words she had said to the distraught women lying in bed. She heard the words in her mind and almost cried. She had told Olivia 'I hate you' something she had never said to anyone before.
She turned to lay more on her side and wrapped as much of herself as possible around Olivia, kissing her head, her temple, her cheek. "I love you" she murmured. Her brain flashed even more memories. She saw Olivia in her hotel room after the transplant, saw the woman who didn't want to live. Heard herself tell Olivia she wouldn't allow her to die. She had the only piece of Nicky that was left and she wouldn't let that go to waste. She watched herself scream at Olivia. Heard the words the two had exchanged in those early days of Olivia's recovery run through her mind.
Then the images changed again. She saw herself try to walk away from the cold and angry woman, only to call into Tower's and return to Olivia's room. Drawn to the woman by what she had thought at the time was Gus's heart only to now realize that it was Olivia herself she was drawn to. She saw herself smile when Olivia finally took a juice to drink. Felt the joy she had felt back then when the woman finally ate something. Then her mind moved forward still. She saw herself at the store with Emma, helping her pick up things for school and Halloween. Saw herself playing with Emma when Olivia was too tired.
Images continued to pass, every small thing that had brought the two of them to this place. Every time Olivia called with those three little words, 'I need you' she would drop whatever she was doing and run to her. She also saw every time Olivia had been there for her, Rafe getting arrested and Olivia coming to the jail and speaking to him. Olivia screaming at the warden at the prison when Rafe was getting beat up. Olivia and the governor making a deal to get Rafe into a safer prison.
She remembered pretending to be Olivia's assistant to Decker when Olivia was too tried to move. She remembered the fight she and Olivia had when she turned down her job offer the first time. Then, her breath caught in her chest when the images from the second time Olivia offered her the job flashed through her mind. She and Olivia verbally sparring on the steps outside Company, Olivia grabbing her chest and then falling to the ground lifeless. Tears escaped her eyes as she felt now what she had felt then. The total loss and heartbreak she had felt as she held Olivia's lifeless hand. Telling her not to give up on Emma or Ava of herself. Her hold on Olivia tighten so much that Olivia stirred a little in her sleep. It brought Natalia back to the present and she loosened her grip just a little.
Then more images appeared in her mind. Olivia again in the hospital, just before the first pacemaker, calling her a superhero. She smiled at that. And then more memories flew by. The meeting with Decker and the Xiao's at the farmhouse, losing the money from Gus's house. Olivia handing her a check for $80,000. Her asking Olivia to move into the farmhouse. The fights they had before that first Christmas while decorating the house. Olivia giving her the molding with Rafe's heights markings for Christmas. Their first New Years, how Olivia had looked so hurt when she left for Tower's and so relieved and happy when she returned before the ball dropped.
Then there was one of her favorite memories. The day of Emma's my two mommies presentation. The way Olivia had rushed to the prison with her when Rafe was sick. The way they had raced back to Emma's school. How Olivia's hand felt in hers as they watched Emma give her presentation. Then one of the most amazing and vivid memories. That first kiss with Olivia. It started as a way for Olivia to prove a point and morphed into so much more. She remembered the way Olivia's lips felt on hers. How soft and wonderful. The way she tasted. How scared and yet unbelievably happy she had felt. She felt the desperate fear that had gripped her heart when she came home that night and found Olivia on the floor of their living room. Then how relieved when she saw her awake and okay at the hospital.
She watched her memories likes a movie as the sight of a terrified Olivia when she found out Phillip was back flashed through her brain. She smirked at the next picture her mind made appear, it was her and Olivia, the first time they made love, after Olivia had come to her room when she had a nightmare.
She let herself remember every single thing that led her here. The fear that gripped her when the beeper for Olivia's pacemaker had gone off and the relief when it turned out just be the batteries. She smiled when she remembered Olivia's first proposal in the kitchen. How scared she looked. She remembered how utterly overjoyed and complete she felt accepting that proposal. Her thoughts changed again to the joy she felt when Rafe stepped into her kitchen and she learned he was released from prison to go to a half-way house.
Then pain stole her happiness when the way Olivia had looked telling Natalia of her past crossed her mind. How small and broken Olivia looked. Then in a flash a different and even more painful memory filled her mind. Rafe telling her she had to choose between him and Olivia. Pain and heartbreak filled her as those memories came flashing across her brain. The day she left, all the nights alone at the retreat, how Olivia looked at her when she returned.
She lost her breath for a moment as that time of their story came clearly to her mind's eye. Olivia saying that she couldn't trust her, telling her it was over, saying she couldn't be more than a friend, telling her to take off her engagement ring. Then her breath returned with a sad smile as she remembered every step it took to regain Olivia's love and trust.
She saw Olivia crying at her desk when she found the ring and note the day after asking Natalia to remove it. She saw the shock on Olivia's face when she kissed her at Tower's after making it clear she wasn't giving up on them. Her smile grew as she thought of Olivia showing up at Rafe's party, the first real step in getting back them.
Her heart leapt in her chest when she remembered Olivia at Company agreeing to move back into the farmhouse. That day played through her mind for a moment, and then that night. The way it had felt like the first time all over again when she and Olivia had made love. Then like a movie on fast forward she saw Olivia down on one knee at The Beacon Chicago, proposing for the second time, then Ava telling them she was coming home and the joy that shone in Olivia's eyes.
Suddenly, like a thief in the night, her breath was stolen again and tears welled in her eyes when the latest sad memory flashed. Olivia lying on the bed in a hotel room, not breathing. The EMT's shocking her, the nurses at the hospital rushing her away. Rafe and Ava surrounding her and sobbing. Rick telling her Olivia needed a new pacemaker and rushing her to Cedars for the surgery.
Then relief rose in her chest again as she remembered the way Olivia looked after surgery. How peaceful she looked as she slept. The way she stroked her fingers through her hair when she woke up again. Those green eyes staring at her as if to say everything was okay. Then the last memory of the events leading to this moment came to mind. The previous night, the way she and Olivia had made love to assure them both that Olivia really was okay.
Natalia lay there for a few more moments, just letting the memories wash over her. So many things had led them here, to this moment, Olivia lying in her arms. So many events, both good and bad. She let all that had happened over the last two years settle in her mind, and then she let them go.
Yes, they needed to remember their past, remember how they got to where they are, but they didn't need to dwell on it. Natalia tightened her hold on Olivia and kissed the side of her head. Breathing in her scent for a moment. She hadn't realized just how wrapped around Olivia she had become until now. Her right arm was under her neck, her left tossed over her waist hugging her close. Her right leg was pressed firmly against Olivia's and her left was thrown over top of her, keeping her tightly against her.
She chuckled to herself and then loosened her grip. Removing her left leg so she could move a little easier. She scooted back just enough to be able to really look at her fiancé. She took in her features. The perfect arch of her eyebrows, her cute little nose, her high cheekbones, her full lips. She let he gaze drop further down her lover. Looking over the neck she loved to kiss, her collar bone, her gorgeous naked breast that were peeking out from the blanket. Then her gaze flicked back up to her lips. Those lips she couldn't kiss enough.
She lowered her head and just barely brushed Olivia's lips with her own. Tasting the sweetness that was Olivia, she went back and kissed her harder, causing Olivia to stir. She allowed her left hand to wander over Olivia's body. Ghosting over her smooth skin. Her fingers trekked over Olivia's hip, her side, her arm, her neck, down her chest, resting in between her breast. She kissed her again, coaxing her lover from sleep. She let her tongue slip out and lick across Olivia's bottom lip. She felt Olivia kiss her back then, Olivia's arms wrapping around her to hold her close.
As she slowed and ended the kiss, she looked up into the most beautiful sea green eyes. Her heart jumped in her chest at the love she saw glowing from those all telling orbs. She smiled at her love, and then without a word, she descended her mouth back to Olivia's, kissing her with every ounce of love she possessed. Her lips moved to trace along Olivia's jaw, down her neck, and back to her favorite spot just below Olivia's ear. She sucked on that spot lightly until she knew a mark would be left.
She lifted her mouth just enough to take Olivia's ear lobe between her lips, and then kissed along the shell to the top and licked back down. Olivia's breath hitched and she squirmed a little when Natalia's blew softly into her ear and whispered. "I love you my darling, and I'm about to show you how much."
Without waiting for a response, Natalia moved further down Olivia's body, not with kisses but rather with only her tongue. She licked a trail down her glorious neck and chest, stopping just above her heart where she placed a gentle kiss before continuing her journey. She licked down the faint pink scar from the transplant, then the smaller one from the first pacemaker, and finally she placed soft kisses down the newest, still healing scar that marked Olivia's creamy skin.
Olivia's breath was coming out in small gasp as she allowed Natalia to claim her body. She felt the sting of teeth just below her right breast as Natalia bit down to leave another mark. Her hand rested on Natalia's back as Natalia moved down again, licking her way to her right hip bone where she bit and sucked until a third mark was left on Olivia's body. Natalia needed this, to stake her claim on the women below her. She needed to feel Olivia's heart race and her pulse quicken. She needed to feel her alive, and know she was hers.
She licked across Olivia's pelvic bone to her left hip where she left yet another mark before sliding her tongue upwards to the spot below Olivia's left breast. She bit down, electing a moan from Olivia as she left her fifth mark on the ivory skin. Deciding she had marked the delicious skin enough, Natalia trailed her lips to Olivia's left breast, taking as much into her mouth as possible. Sucking for a minute and then releasing it and kissing around the areola before taking the nipple between her teeth and biting softly.
Olivia's back arched at the touch and her hand pressed more firmly into the small of Natalia's back. "Natalia…sweetheart…please" She moaned.
Natalia ignored the pleas from Olivia and ran her tongue across to Olivia's right breast. Taking it into her mouth and sucking while she flicked over the nipple with her tongue. She reached her hand up to squeeze and tease it's twin. Making both nipples harden even further. She let go of the breast in her mouth with a wet popping sound. She glanced up at Olivia's face. Her cheeks were pink from the heat, her mouth slightly agape releasing soft moans, her eyes where shut but then opened slowly to show green eyes dark with desire.
Natalia bent and kissed the spot above Olivia's heart again before shifting her body to be directly on top of Olivia. Perfectly aligning their centers and breast. She carefully allowed her full weight to rest on the women below her. After a silent moment of stillness, Natalia kissed Olivia again. Easing her tongue into the hoteliers mouth. She thread both her hands with Olivia's and rose them above their heads as they kissed long and slow and deep.
Natalia began a slow rocking motion, both women whimpering as their breast scraped against each other. Eventually Natalia released their hands so she could place hers on the mattress above Olivia's shoulder's to help her thrust harder. Olivia gripped at Natalia's soft globes and wrapped her legs around the Latina's thighs, pushing their centers more firmly together. The two fell into a rhythm as their breast and clits rubbed together.
Natalia pulled back from the kiss and locked her brown eyes with Olivia's green as they rocked harder and faster towards their crescendo. Olivia's nails dug into her rear as they reached the pinnacle of their release simultaneously. The evidence of their love mixing together between them. They continued to move together as aftershocks rolled through each of their bodies until Natalia finally collapsed with her head on Olivia's chest.
No words were spoken, Natalia simply held Olivia tight, while Olivia ran her fingers through Natalia's hair with one hand and rubbed circles on her back with the other. They lay there in silence, both just appreciating the other until a soft knock sounded at the door.
Natalia shifted to Olivia's side and pulled the blanket up around them. "Come in."
Ava peaked her head inside. "You guys decent?" she semi whispered.
Olivia half chuckled and shook her head. "Not under these covers we aren't."
Natalia playfully swatted her stomach. "Stop it. What do you need Ava?"
"Um, well you might want to toss on a robe or something, we made you guys breakfast, Emma and Rafe will be up here any second with it." Without another word Ava ducked back out the door and stood guard until Rafe and Emma got up there.
Olivia and Natalia quickly threw on their shirts from the night before and sat up against the headboard, still nuzzled against each other.
Ava poked her head back in, seeing that they now had something on, she open the door all the way and allowed Rafe and Emma to step inside, each carrying a tray with a plate of eggs, turkey sausage, toast, coffee, and a single rose. Emma took hers to Olivia's side and Rafe walked over to Natalia. The two moms separated and sat up straighter to accept the breakfast their children had prepared for them.
Natalia had unshed tears in her eyes when she looked toward each of her children. "Thank you guys. This looks amazing. To what do we owe this pleasure?"
"Nothing, we just wanted to do something nice for you and mommy since you guys do so much for us." Emma answered with a wide grin.
"Yup, just wanted you two to relax for a while this morning." Ava added.
"We're gonna go eat downstairs and clean up the kitchen, you two enjoy your breakfast and take your time getting out of bed today." Rafe suggested.
The three kids all kissed each of their mother's and then exited the room. Olivia leaned over and placed a kiss to Natalia's cheek. "We have some pretty amazing kids."
"Yes we do. Let's eat this breakfast they prepared for us, and then, maybe we can all bundle up and go play in the first snow of the year."
Olivia glanced over to the window. "Hmm, I didn't even know it snowed. I'm surprised Emma isn't out there already. She loves the first snow."
"I'm sure she'll be rolling around in it as soon as we tell her she can."
"You are probably right." The two ate their breakfast and drank their coffee in the comfort of their bed. Before getting up, they laid back down to snuggle for Olivia's always requested five more minutes.
Natalia was finally able to coax Olivia from the warmth of their bed with the promise of a shared shower. No sooner had those words left Natalia's lips then Olivia was in the bathroom turning on the shower and shedding herself of her shirt. Natalia laughed at Olivia's antics as she followed her into their master bath. By the time Natalia made it into the bathroom, Olivia was dancing around like a crazy fool chanting. "I'm gonna get shower sex, I'm gonna get shower sex…"
Natalia shook her head smiling at the women she was going to marry. "Not if you keep acting like a fool you're not."
Olivia stopped her chanting and dancing and grabbed Natalia up into her arms. She buried her face into Natalia's neck and smothered her with playful kisses. "You love it when I act like a fool."
Natalia laughed and pushed Olivia back as she stepped into the shower. "You are such a goof."
"Yeah, I am, but I'm your goof. And, you are choosing to marry this goof, and be stuck with my foolish self for the rest of your life." Olivia counter, following Natalia into the shower stall.
Natalia spun around and linked her arms behind Olivia's neck. "I sure am. Now kiss me you foolish goofball."
"Anything you say Ms. Rivera." Olivia closed the distance between them and claimed Natalia's lips with her own. Before she could grab for the shampoo bottle, Natalia found herself slammed against the shower wall with Olivia's mouth and hands all over her.
Olivia found a water droplet and chased it down the length of Natalia's body. Starting at the dip where shoulder meets neck and continuing down toned abs to the apex of her thighs. Olivia teased her tongue over Natalia's clit before quickly pulling away and tracing a stream of water back up Natalia's stomach to her right breast. Taking the breast into the warmth of her mouth, Olivia sucked hard before releasing it and licking her way to Natalia's lips.
As their lips met and Olivia's tongue thrust into Natalia's mouth, three fingers slammed into her dripping center. Natalia gasped at the unexpected intrusion and then moaned in pleasure as those talented fingers found her g-spot and pressed against it. Olivia stroked her fingers in and out in time with her tongue in Natalia's mouth. Without missing a beat her free hand found Natalia's left breast, rolling and pinching the nipple in rhythm with her tongue and fingers.
The three sensations were quickly driving Natalia to distraction. She felt her knees began to weaken as her orgasm started to build in the pit of her stomach. Olivia slid one leg between Natalia's to help her stay up as she continued to bring her higher towards her impending release. Natalia clawed at Olivia's back as groan after groan was swallowed by Olivia's mouth.
Natalia felt her body began to quiver and she knew her orgasm was about to explode through her body. She felt it start in her belly and shoot both upwards and down at the same time. Reaching from her toes to her fingertips. She tore her mouth away as a primal scream escaped from the back of throat. She clung to Olivia for support as one aftershock after another rolled through her body.
Olivia kept her fingers buried deep inside her, slowing her pace but never stopping. She dropped to her knees in an instant and took Natalia's sensitive clit into her mouth, sucking hard while she flicked across it with the tip of her tongue. Within seconds a second orgasm ripped through Natalia's body. She slid down the shower wall, unable to stand any longer. Olivia took her in her arms and held her as she peppered kisses all over her face.
As soon as the tremors stopped and Natalia could breathe again, Olivia kissed her lips with unyielding passion. The two stayed locked in their embrace, kissing with abandon until the water turned cold. This kiss was Olivia's way of letting Natalia know that she was indeed okay. She kissed her to convey just how healthy their sex life was for her. This kiss was to prove she was alive and here for as long as Natalia would keep her.
