Previously
Ben had finally made it out of Bellwood and was going to start his new life somewhere else when an accident near the bridge caused Ben to be a hero once more. As Heatblast, Ben was able to get everyone to safety as well as save the trapped driver of the oil truck. Ben was even able to stop the flames from causing the oil truck to explode. However, something else, an exposed underground power cable reignited the trail of oil that caused the oil truck to explode. Using Heatblast's powers, Ben was able to absorb the massive explosion and flames before it could hurt anyone. Unfortunately as the flames were almost completely absorbed, the omnitrix transformed him back into his human form. Before the flames could fully hurt Ben, he somehow ended up in a forest clearing in the woods. Facing down a large hairy monster and its smaller companions, Ben will have to fight once more using the omnitrix.
Forest Clearing: Unknown Location
Standing before the large hairy beast and its recovering smaller counterparts was a tall plant-like humanoid creature. It's arms had yellow thorns growing out of them while it's head looked like a blooming flower. A familiar looking badge with an hourglass symbol could be seen above the waist of the creature. This plant-like creature was actually Ben transformed into an alien. The alien that Ben had transformed into was a Methanosian that called Swampfire.
"You and your buddies are in a whole lot of trouble now" Ben said as he formed a ball of fire in each of his hands
The large creature slammed its fists on the ground and let out a massive roar which caused the smaller creatures to get up quicker. All of the smaller creatures focused their attention on Ben and immediately charged forwards at him. As all of the smaller creatures came at Ben, he hit each of them with a fireball. One of the creatures came up from behind and managed to rip into Ben's body. Fortunately, Swampfire was a plant alien so the damage done was easily fixed like nothing had happened.
"That isn't going to work on me" Ben told the smaller creature before blasting it with a powerful stream of fire
Ben continued to fight all of the smaller creatures, taking care of all of them with ease. Ben threw balls of fire, shot streams of flames and even streams of green gas that knocked out a few of the smaller creatures. The more smaller creatures that Ben took out the more that the large creature called to fight Ben.
"There's just no end to all of you" Ben said as he slammed his fists on the ground, causing massive vines to burst out of it
The vines either wrapped up the smaller or creatures or bashed them around
"I can fight your minions all day sasquatch, are you gonna throw your hat into the ring?" Ben asked the larger creature as he took out more of the smaller creatures with his flames
The larger creature snarled and stepped forwards to face Ben, it smacked the smaller creatures that were in front of it out of its way
"Harsh" Ben said as he regrew an arm that had gotten ripped off by a smaller creature
The larger creature charged forwards at Ben at full speed, taking out any smaller creatures that got in its way. Ben readied himself and stood his ground, anchoring his feet and growing roots to keep him in place. The larger creature grabbed Ben and tried to rip him out of the ground but was struggling. Ben's roots were holding but he didn't know how much more they could take. Eventually the creature grew even more angry and simply ripped Ben in half and lifted his upper half into the air.
"I'm a delicate flower, don't touch me" Ben said as he was lifted in the air
Ben ignited his hands and grabbed onto the hand of the larger creature, slowly burning it until it threw Ben down on the ground
"Oh crap" Ben said as his upper half hit the ground hard
The creature let out a roar of pain as it grabbed onto the spot of its hand that Ben had burned
"I warned you" Ben said as he tried to prop his upper half up
The larger creature snarled at Ben and began to punch and stomp on his upper half repeatedly. The large creature kept doing this until large amounts of dirt and dust filled the air. Eventually it stopped and saw through the clouds that Ben was no longer there, just a crater from it punching and stomping.
"A wise man once said that anger makes you blind" a voice said
The larger creature turned around and saw Ben regrow his body as it sprouted out of the ground. Seeing that Ben wasn't dead, the creature let out a roar of anger and slammed its fists on the ground.
"Looks like somebody is mad" Ben said before the larger creature threw a piece of the ground at him
It took off his head but thanks to Swampfire's regenerative abilities, Ben regrew his head back with ease. The large creature continued to rip pieces of the ground up and throw them at Ben, Ben would either dodge them or destroy them using his fire powers. Eventually the creature dug its massive hands into the ground and lifted up a large slab before slamming it down, creating a massive wave that was headed straight for Ben.
"Not good" Ben said as the ground cracked beneath his feet
The larger creature rushed forwards and grabbed Ben while he was distracted, before Ben could react the larger creature ripped Ben's body to pieces and threw them on the ground. It then ripped up another slab from the ground and slammed it down on the pieces of Ben's body until the slab shattered into pieces. Seeing that Ben wasn't getting up, the larger creature let out a roar of victory as the smaller creatures gathered around.
"Okay, I was trying to lighten things up but now you are really starting to get on my nerves" a voice said sounding annoyed
The larger creature looked around for where the voice was coming from but didn't see anything
"Down here fuzzbucket" the same voice said
The larger creature looked down at the ground right as a massive vine shaped like a fist burst out of the ground and hit it in the jaw. The larger creature stumbled backwards from the hit and fell down on the ground hard. The smaller creatures had no idea what had happened and immediately began to gather around the fallen larger creature. Where the vine had shot up, Ben as Swampfire began to crawl out of the ground, his body fully formed. The smaller creatures all saw Ben and began to roar at him before they charged forwards at him.
"I think it's time you all took a dirt nap" Ben said
Ben punched the ground with his fist which made the whole area shake violently. The smaller creatures ignored the shaking and continued to charge forwards at Ben. Suddenly, massive tree roots shot upwards from the ground and began to attack and wrap themselves around the smaller creatures.
"This forest is connected everywhere, even down to the tree roots, it just took me awhile to see them" Ben said
As all of the smaller creatures were finally wrapped up by the tree roots, Ben motioned his fist moving downwards. That then caused all of the tree roots to pull the wrapped up smaller creatures down into the ground, leaving only their heads exposed. The larger creature had recovered and was able to get up, it saw that all of the smaller creatures had been defeated which infuriated it.
"They were in the way, maybe next time don't fall to one punch" Ben told the larger creature
The larger creature roared in anger before it focused on Ben and charged forwards at him. Ben readied himself and threw multiple seeds onto the ground that immediately sunk into the soil. As the creature got closer and closer to Ben, he formed a massive ball of fire with each of his hands. The seeds he threw also had sprouted up and formed large flowers that surrounded the large creature. The larger creature had no idea what was going on but before it could do anything, Ben threw his ball of fire at the creature.
"Take this" Ben said as the flowers he grew also started to shoot balls of fire at the larger creature
The flames hit the larger creature over and over again, it couldn't fight back and ended falling down to the ground. Ben's anger began to take over as the flames got hotter and hotter. Eventually Ben stopped blasting the larger creature before he ended up killing it.
"That takes care of that" Ben said to himself
The plants he grew sunk back into the ground, leaving Ben to figure out where he was and where his car was
"Maybe I should contact Rook and the Plumbers, they could help me" Ben said to himself
Thinking about it, Ben decided that was a bad idea, he didn't want to face his old partner again. He couldn't do that, especially after what Ben had done to Vilgax.
"MUTANT, POWER DOWN IMMEDIATELY OR WE WILL FIRE!!!" A voice over an intercom said loudly
Ben looked up and saw a group of high tech attack helicopters hovering above him. Massive high tech vehicles and tanks pulled up while unknown soldiers all surrounded Ben, aiming their weapons at him. Not knowing who they were or what was going on, Ben raised his hands up to show that he wasn't a threat.
"Easy there fellas, I'm a good guy" Ben said to the soldiers who were ignoring him
Looking around, Ben had never seen these guys before and the weapons they were using. To Ben those weapons looked like at least level 10 or 15 tech weapons which didn't make sense since Earth was only a level 2 tech planet. All of a sudden a sleek looking car pulled up and out stepped a man wearing a suit. The man walked over to Ben while the soldiers kept their weapons aimed at him.
"Agent Colson sir, agent Cartier and the infected all have been captured" a soldier tells the man in the suit
Ben looked over and saw soldiers carrying off the large and smaller creatures away and putting them in cages
"You there mutant" the man in the suit said to Ben
"Me?" Ben asked pointing at himself
"Yes mutant you, I'd like to thank you for your help in taking care of our Wendigo problem" the man in the suit answered, thanking Ben
"Don't mention it, now I'm gonna get going" Ben said
Before Ben could even leave, all of the soldiers readied to fire their weapons at Ben while the helicopters and tanks focused their weapons on him
"I am afraid I can't let you do that, my department need you to come in and answer questions" the man in the suit told Ben
"And what department would that be?" Ben asked the man
"I work for the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division" the man in the suit answered
"That sounds like a mouthful" Ben said
"We get that a lot, now mutant, I am going to ask you to power down and come with me" the man in the suit told Ben
"First thing, I'm an alien not a mutant" Ben told the man in the suit
"That definitely changes things" the man in the suit said
The man then raised his hand which caused the soldiers to ready their weapons
"You will be coming with me alien" the man in the suit told Ben
"I am not going anywhere with you" Ben said as he formed a fireball in each of hands
"Activate it now" the man in the suit told someone over a communicator
All of a sudden two soldiers fired launcher-like weapons that sent metal spheres at Ben. When the spheres hit the ground, the soldiers hit a button on their launchers which caused sparks of electricity to come off the spheres. Suddenly the spheres formed a circle around Ben as a dome of yellow energy formed around him.
"What is this?" Ben asked as he touched the yellow energy, burning himself
"You are trapped in an unbreakable and inescapable dome of pure energy, it is immune to extreme temperatures and can withstand hits from the Hulk and even the Juggernaut" the man in the suit told Ben
Ben shot flames out of his hand but they didn't do anything to the energy dome just like the man in the suit had said
"Your plant powers won't work in their either, the dome goes all the way under ground so there's no escape for you" the man in the suit told Ben
"I can't break out and I can't escape by going underground?" Ben asked the man in the suit
"Exactly, now get ready for a long flight" the man in the suit answered
"Looks like I'm just going to have to find a new way out then" Ben said to himself
"Impossible but you can try" the man in the suit told Ben
Ben looked down at the omnitrix badge above his waist and hit it, causing himself to transform into a different alien. The man in the suit couldn't believe what he was seeing happening. When the green light faded away, it was revealed that Ben had gone from being Swampfire to a small beetle-like alien that had a large shell on its back. The alien that Ben had transformed into was a Florpus Tesabo that he called Portaler

"See you and your cheap suit later" Ben told the man in the suit as he formed a portal behind him
Before the man in the suit or the soldiers could do anything to stop Ben, he walked into the portal he created and vanished
"Get ahold of director Fury now and tell him we have a problem" the man in the suit told a soldier
Time Skip
Alleyway: New York City
A portal opened up above an alleyway and out fell Ben, still as Portaler
"Oh crap, too high" Ben said as he fell and hit the ground
The portal above Ben closed as he got up and transformed back into his human form. Looking around, Ben saw that he was in an alleyway in New York City and remembered that he didn't specify where he wanted the portal to take him. All Ben thought of was a busy city with lots of people where those soldiers wouldn't find him.
"I guess New York does fit that description" Ben said to himself as he began to leave the alleyway
City Streets: New York City
As Ben stepped out on the streets of New York, he looked around and saw people everywhere walking and driving. They didn't seem to pay any attention to him, except a small glance. Looking down at himself, Ben saw that his clothes were still a bit burned from the oil truck exploding.
"All of my clothes were in the car" Ben said to himself annoyed
It looked like the first thing that Ben had to do was find where his car was, hopefully it wasn't back in those woods. Deciding to not worry about that right now, Ben began to walk down the street and find a place where he could eat. As Ben walked, he saw a newspaper on the ground that caught his interest. Picking up the newspaper, Ben read a few of the headlines and articles and right away something stuck out to him.
"Antman Wasp Stop Whirlwind"
"Ironman Saves the UN"
"Thor Defeats the Wrecking Crew"
"Spider-Man: Friend or Foe?"
"X-Men Stop the Brotherhood"
All of those headlines featured people I'm bright and flashy costumes fighting villains in similar outfits
"Where am I?" Ben asked himself
Reading the newspaper, things began to make a whole lot of sense to Ben on why those soldiers didn't know who he was. Ben was in another universe, not just any universe, Ben was in another universe that was full of superheroes. That kept repeating in his mind over and over, Ben was in a universe that was full of heroes where no one knew who he was. Ben didn't freak out like one would think he would, he has been to other universes before like the time he teamed up with Rex.
"I'm in a universe with superheroes, they don't need me here" Ben said to himself
If this universe didn't need him, Ben could start a new life here for himself, one where he wouldn't have to use the omnitrix to save the day. He could have a new start where he didn't have to worry about anyone he cared about dying.
"No more saving the day, I can finally live my life the way I want to" Ben said to himself excitedly
Putting down the newspaper, Ben resumed walking down the street, this time he was thinking of how he was going to create a new identity for himself here. Of course he could always use the omnitrix one last time, Greymatter or Brainstorm would help with building a new identity and Diamondhead's crystals could make him some extra cash. Things were really starting to come together for Ben as he planned everything out in his head. However, Ben was pulled from his thoughts by the sound of a loud explosion going off in the distance as all the power around him started to flicker. Hearing people panic, Ben looked up at the sky where they were pointing and saw a large flying aircraft carrier start to fall from the sky, into the water. There was another explosion at this building out in the middle of the water as well, Ben had no idea what was going on.
"There was an explosion at the Raft" a civilian said
"Isn't that where all of those supervillains are?" Another asked
Hearing that, Ben began to worry, he saw people running away in fear and wanted to do the same as well
"They don't need me, this universe already has heroes" Ben said to himself as he tried to fight the urge to go and help
Turning his back, Ben started to run away and joined the mob of people running away when suddenly familiar words echoed in Ben's head
"You have the power to help people in need, it is your duty to use that power to do the right thing, putting aside what you want for the greater good"
Ben stopped running and slowly turned around, he saw the large aircraft carrier sinking down into the water. The thought of people being trapped and unable to escape came to Ben's mind and the words his grandfather had told him all those years ago wouldn't leave. Looking down at the omnitrix on his wrist, Ben knew he had to make a choice, he thought about what his family would say and do if he didn't help and that was something that Ben couldn't let sit.
"Please be the real last hero time" Ben said to himself as he let out a sigh
Looking around, Ben lifted up the omnitrix and activated it, scrolling through the playlist of aliens until he found the alien that he wanted
"Let's get this over with quickly" Ben said to himself as he selected the alien he wanted
The faceplate of the omnitrix slid back as the core of the omnitrix popped up, before Ben transformed, he ran into an alleyway where he wouldn't be seen and slammed the omnitrix core down. A bright flash of green light filled the alleyway and could be seen from the street. Once the green light faded away a large figure shot upwards into the sky creating a large gust of wind the blew down some garbage cans. The shadow figure looked over at the sinking aircraft carrier and immediately flew towards it as fast as it could.
"Let's finally get this over" an eerie voice said

Hello there readers, here is the second chapter of Avenging and I hope you all enjoyed it. Ben fought the Wendigo and won and also faced down the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Ben also knows he is in an alternate universe now as well. You got to see Portaler, a cannon but not seen alien transformations used as well as Swampfire. Some things that I forgot to mention at the end of the last chapter, this won't be a harem story and the only reason why I went with an M rating is because of the death of Ben's family and the flashbacks of that event will happen throughout the story as Ben tries to overcome the pain. I could have gone with a lower rating but I didn't want to get in trouble, better to play it safe then to be sorry. You all may be wondering why there is a new chapter today and not Sunday? Well I've decided to change my updating schedule for this story to every Monday. I've also decided to respond to comments from the last chapter along with answering questions at the end of each new chapter. Luckily there are a few comments from the last chapter that I can respond to here.
SHplayer: Sorry you feel that way about the story, you may think my story has many holes but that isn't true. You also think Ben is weak but that also isn't true, it was just the first chapter. Heatblast did stop the explosion, if you couldn't read, Ben was just transformed back to human and was sent to another universe. Each and every chapter is going to get better and better, I hope you stick around to see the story through
Sykotardis2: I really don't know what you mean by that but I'm pretty sure the Omniverse design of Upgrade already has all that going on.
Maximum Rhapsody: I was already thinking of ways to have characters from Ben's universe show up in this new universe. Can't say who they are or how they will end up there since it will spoil what I have in mind. If I do have a love interest it is probably going to be a character from the Marvel Universe and not someone from Ben's universe
With those comments responded to, I am now going to be answering questions from the last chapter
SHplayer: The reason that Ben doesn't have master control yet is because he was busy watching his family get murdered by Vilgax when he was supposed to get it from Azmuth. The trauma made Ben not want to use the omnitrix but that doesn't mean he won't get master control in the future. The reason they didn't call Ben was because he was off planet and they all had been killed by Vilgax already. Gwen can't go full Anodite since she didn't train on Anodyne. Ben was supposed to go Water Hazard but went Heatblast because he chose randomly and even then Heatblast can absorb flames which is what he did.
