Previously
Ben Tennyson found himself sent to another universe full of superheroes while he tried to leave his old life as a hero behind. From there, Ben was confronted by a massive beast known as a Wendigo and its smaller counterparts. After defeating the Wendigo and escaping a group of soldiers, Ben was now in New York City. It was there that Ben discovered he was in this superhero filled universe and not his own. Deciding to start a new heroeless life, going to use the omnitrix one last time Ben was finally going to get what he wanted. Unfortunately an explosion and a large flying aircraft carrier changed Ben's plans and made him use the omnitrix one more time.
S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier: New York City
Aboard the falling S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier, the snake-like villain known as Constrictor was busy fighting a glowing yellow ball of light that was flying around and blasting him. That ball of light was actually the size changing hero known as Wasp aka, Janet Van Dyne. Wasp was aboard the helicarrier when something strange happened and the supermax prison known as the Big House grew to full size. That caused the helicarrier to start to go down and crash. It also allowed many of the criminals trapped in the Big House to escape, such as Constrictor. Wasp was trying to escape with a S.H.I.E.L.D agent, agent Maria Hill but her and a few other agents ended up getting attacked by other villains.
"SSSStop flying around and come down here little bug" Constrictor hissed as Wasp hit him with her bio blasts and avoided his attack
"Like I'm just going to let you attack me" Wasp tells Constrictor as she flies around blasts him with her bio stingers some more
The snake-like villain grew more and more angry as he failed to attack Wasp, getting hit in the process by her
"I will pull you down from there and I will crussssh you" Constrictor tells Wasp
"We'll see about that" Wasp says as she flies down and blasts Constrictor in the face with her bio stingers
Constrictor rolls out of the way of Wasp's attacks and tries to grab her from behind but fails to do so as Wasp blasts him in the legs, causing the villain to fall to the ground
"That really hurt" Constrictor says as he slowly gets up off the ground
"There's plenty more where that came from" Wasp tells Constrictor as she charges up her bio stingers for another attack
"Once I am finisssshed here, I'll go after that boyfriend of yourssss, hopefully he issssn't dead yet" Constrictor tells Wasp with a sinister smile on his face
"Hank? No" Wasp says worried
Being distracted, Wasp wasn't ready for Constrictor to rush forwards and grab her while she was at full size. Slowly, Constrictor wraps his coils around her and starts to squeeze Wasp.
"Time to ssssqueeze all of the air out of your lungssss" Constrictor tells Wasp as his coils slowly start to crush her
Being caught in Constrictor's coils, Wasp tried everything she could to get free but Constrictor wouldn't let go of her as his coils got tighter and tighter
"Can…Can't br…breathe" Wasp says as she struggles to get free
"One dead bug coming right up" Constrictor says with an evil chuckle
Wasp needed to think of something fast before Constrictor killed her, eventually Wasp did come up with an idea. Using her powers, Wasp shrunk down to a smaller size and was able to free herself from Constrictor.
"What the?" Constrictor asked confused as he saw Wasp fly out of his coils
"Let's see you try to crush me now" Wasp tells Constrictor
"I will kill you and make my way off thissss sssship" Constrictor tells Wasp angrily
"I won't let that happen, I am going to stop you here and now" Wasp tells Constrictor as she charges up her bio stingers once more
Constrictor lunges forwards at Wasp while she blasts him with her bio stingers, the snake-like villain pushes throw the attacks and is able to grab Wasp and hold her in his hands
"I will crussssh you now" Constrictor tells Wasp as he begins to crush her in his hands
Wasp does what she can to stop him but soon Constrictor overpowers her and begins to crush the size changing hero to death. If Wasp didn't do something now, Constrictor was going to kill her and then move onto to other people and hurt them.
"Can't…Can't let that…that happen" Wasp says as she struggles to hold back Constrictor's hands
Slowly Wasp starts to build up her bio energy in her body, as it gets stronger and stronger, Wasp finally unleashes a powerful blast of her bio energy that frees her but also knocks Constrictor back
"I did it, I'm free" Wasp says to herself with glee
It was then that Wasp got a strong and sudden chill as the air around her began to get cold, almost freezing
"What is going on?" Wasp asks as she hugs her sides and shivers
Turning around, Wasp saw something strange happen to Constrictor
"You okay Constrictor?" Wasp asks the snake-like villain
Constrictor doesn't answer as he stops moving and ice suddenly starts to form around his body until he is completely encased in ice. Wasp couldn't believe what she had just seen, it was then that a phantom-like figure phased through Constrictor's frozen body and looked around until it saw Wasp standing there.
"Please tell me that I got the bad guy?" The figure asks Wasp in an eerie voice as frost comes out of its mouth
The figure becomes full visible, allowing Wasp to see that the figure wore a blue and black cloak and also had large visible green eyes
"Please tell me that I got the bad guy? I don't want to find out that I iced the wrong guy" the figure says once more
Wasp snaps out of her daze and finally responded to the creature
"I…I'm Wasp and I'm a hero, that guy was Constrictor and he is a villain" Wasp responded, nervously
"Good, that is a relief" the creature said
Slowly Wasp began to calm down as her fear of this creature began to go away
"Mind telling me what happened here?" The creature asked Wasp
"Oh, um, you see I don't really know, a blackout happened and then this happened afterwards" Wasp answered, trying her best to explain what happened here
"I see, looks like you got things covered here" the figure says before walking away
"Wait, the helicarrier is going to crash into the harbor and all sorts of villains are escaping" Wasp tells the figure trying to get it to stop leaving
"It isn't my problem, you heroes can take care of the villains and this" the figure tells Wasp as it continues to leave
"Wait, please don't go, Ant-man is still trapped in the Big House with all of those villains, they'll kill him if he doesn't get out" Wasp plead to the figure
The figure stopped and turned around to face Wasp
"Who?" The figure asks Wasp
"Ant-man and he needs your help" Wasp answers
"What and where is this Big House?" The figure asks Wasp
"You see those parts of a building sticking out of the helicarrier? That's the Big House, a shrunken down prison that was being held on the helicarrier" Wasp answers the figure's question
"I see, not really a smart place to put it" the figure says
"I agree with you" Wasp replies
"I will go and save this Ant-man person, you get out of here and find somewhere safe" the figure tells Wasp
"You are going to save him?" Wasp asks the figure
"If I didn't and let him die, they wouldn't let me sleep at night" the figure answered
Wasp didn't know what the figure was talking about but she was glad that they were going to go and save Ant-man
"Okay, he's in a bright red suit with an ant symbol on it, you can't miss him" Wasp tells the figure, giving them a description of Ant-man
The figure steps away from Wasp and is about to go into the Big House to save Ant-man before the villains inside kill him or he ends up drowning to death when the helicarrier crashes into the water
"Before you go, could you please tell me your name?" Wasp asks the figure
"You can call me Big Chill" the figure answers, giving Wasp their name
Big Chill then steps forwards, it's cloak unraveling itself, revealing it to be four moth-like wings. Big Chill looked like a large and bulky humanoid moth-like creature. They had three fingers on each of their hands, had a fur collar around their neck and had a large mouth. Big Chill's bottom ribs were somewhat exposed and covered in ice. Wasp saw a green badge that had an hourglass symbol on it, located on Big Chill' waist.

"I will be back" Big Chill tells Wasp as they take to the air then fly downwards and phase through the hull of the helicarrier
"Hank is definitely in for a real surprise" Wasp says to herself as she flies off towards the city
Time Skip
Big House: S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier
The Big House, a shrunken down supermax prison that was held on the S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier suddenly grew back to full size after a blackout happened. The prison growing to full size is what caused the helicarrier to start to go down. It also allowed all of the prisoners inside the chance to escape. Inside of the Big House, the hero known as Ant-man aka Hank Pym was busy fighting off a some of the escaped villains. Two of the villains attacking him were another snake-like villain, King Cobra and a primate-like villain, Mandrill. The two villains were doing all that they could to grab Ant-man so they could attack him. Unfortunately for them, Ant-man was using his size changing powers to stop them.
"Hold him sssstill you ape" King Cobra hisses at Mandrill as the primate-like villain failed to grab ahold of Ant-man
"Don't blame Jerome, it's not his fault he can't catch me" Ant-man tells King Cobra as he grows to full size and kicks Mandrill in the back
King Cobra avoids Mandrill falling into him and goes to attack Ant-man but the size changing hero shrinks back down and avoids King Cobra's attack
"You will die here and now" King Cobra tells Ant-man as he tries to crush the hero while he was shrunken down
Ant-man avoids the attack and jumps at King Cobra, growing to full size while he punches the snake-like villain in the face. At that moment, Mandrill comes up from behind and grabs Ant-man, holding his arms back.
"Get off" Ant-man says as he struggles to break free from Mandrill's grasp
"Hold him sssstill, I want to enjoy thissss" King Cobra tells Mandrill
As King Cobra goes in to attack Ant-man while he was being held by Mandrill, Ant-man shrinks down. That causes King Cobra to crash into Mandrill, allowing Ant-man to grow back to full size and kick the two villains of the walkway.
"That takes care of them, now to get out of here" Ant-man says to himself
As Ant-man tries to escape the Big House, villains are running around either trying to escape or destroy the Ultron units around the prison. Out of nowhere, something attack Ant-man and knocks him down to the ground. Ant-man looks up and sees a large monstrous creature hovering above him in the air. That monstrous flying creature was the supervillain known as Griffin.
"Just great" Ant-man say to himself
Ant-man tries to run away and avoid Griffin, but the flying villain attacks Ant-man once more, knocking him into a deep hole. As Ant-man falls throw the hole he shrinks then grows back to full size to cushion his fall. At that moment, the S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier crashes into the water and the prison starts to flood
The Raft: New York City
In the supermax prison known as the Raft, villains and criminals are all escaping as their cells open up. One such cell opens up, revealing a man with a purple mask and suit on. He looks around and hears all of the chaos going on outside and leaves his cell. Looking through the destroyed ceiling of the Raft, the man sees the helicarrier crash into the ocean.
"What a turn of events, better not waste this moment" the man says to himself
The man in the mask and suit then turns around and starts to leave the Raft while all of the chaos is going on around him
Time Skip
Big House: S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier
Back in the Big House on the now sinking helicarrier, Ant-man comes to and finds himself in some water as more and more of it starts to flood into the Big House. Knowing that he doesn't have much time, Ant-man gets up and begins to leave the Big House before it sinks into the ocean. Making his way through the destroyed levels of the Big House, Ant-man sees all of the damage around him.
"And to think I worked so hard on this place" Ant-man says to himself
"Your also the one who put us here" a voice says to Ant-man
Suddenly, a powerful gust of wind comes out of nowhere and hits Ant-man, pushing him down to the ground. Managing to look up, Ant-man sees a person wearing green armor shooting the gusts of wind from their hands. This green armor wearing villain with a bullet shaped helmet was known as Whirlwind.
"I had a feeling you would come after me David" Ant-man says as he struggles to get up as Whirlwind holds him down with his wind powers
"Its Whirlwind and after you and your little girlfriend threw me in here, I've got a score to settle with the both of you" Whirlwind tells Ant-man
"Leave her out of this" Ant-man tells Whirlwind as he struggles to get up
"Tell that to my friend over here" Whirlwind responds
Griffin then flies down and lands next to Whirlwind with an evil grin on his face
"Kill him so we can move onto the girl next" Whirlwind tells Griffin
Griffin then flies up and is going to come down and strike Ant-man finishing him off for good. Ant-man struggled to get up but Whirlwind's tornado blasts were too strong for Ant-man to fight. As he struggled, Ant-man soon felt a strong chill in the air as did Whirlwind.
"Who turned on the freaking AC?" Whirlwind asked as he shivered a bit
All of a sudden Griffin came falling down out of the sky and landed on Whirlwind which allowed Ant-man to get free
"Get off of me you hairy freak" Whirlwind tells Griffin as he struggles to get the large monstrous villain off of him
Ant-man saw that Griffin somehow had become completely encased in ice and had no idea how that happened
"That is strange" Ant-man said
Before Ant-man could do anything, the walkway he was on gave out, causing him to fall. Ant-man closed his eyes and braces himself for the fall but something happened. Opening his eyes, Ant-man saw that he was being held by a large moth-like creature with large green eyes. Big Chill had arrived and was able to save Ant-man before he fell to his death.
"Who are you?" Ant-man asked Big Chill
"Wasp sent me to save you and looks like I came at the right moment" Big Chill answered, looking down as more and more water flooded into the Big House
"Jan sent you? Thank goodness she is alive" Ant-man
"She should be waiting for us by the pier" Big Chill told Ant-man
Big Chill continued to fly upwards towards the ceiling of the Big House as water continued to fill the destroyed prison the deeper the helicarrier sunk
"How exactly do you plan on getting us out of here?" Ant-man asked Big Chill
"The same way I came in, now hold on, this will only feel weird for a moment" Big Chill answered
Before Ant-man could say anything, Big Chill's body went intangible and since they were holding onto Ant-man, he also went intangible
"Interesting, you can alter your molecular structure to become that of an intangible nitrous gas along with whatever you are touching" Ant-man said as Big Chill phased through the ceiling of the Big House
"You could say that" Big Chill replies
Time Skip
Pier: New York City
Standing on the pier and watching as the S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier sunk down into the water, Wasp was worried that Ant-man hadn't gotten out of there. Luckily her worries went away as Wasp saw Big Chill flying over to her with Ant-man in their arms. Big Chill lightly dropped Ant-man onto the pier and landed down next to him, their wings folding back up into a cloak.
"Hank, your alive" Wasp said as she ran over to Ant-man, hugging him tightly
"That is all thanks to your friend here, whoever he is" Ant-man replied
"Big Chill, his name is Big Chill" Wasp said, telling Ant-man Big Chill's name
"Strange name but I am glad to be alive" Ant-man said
"Hey Hank, do you have any idea what caused the blackout that leas to all of this?" Wasp asked Ant-man
"Unfortunately I don't, it all happened so suddenly then the villains got out" Ant-man said, unable to answer Wasp's question
"Either way, you and the other heroes of this world will have your hands busy dealing with all of this" Big Chill tells Ant-man and Wasp
"What do you mean Big Chill?" Wasp asks them confused
"I saved you and your friend, my hero work is done and now I can follow through with my original plan" Big Chill answered as he began to walk away
"You can't just leave yet, we still need your help" Wasp tells Big Chill, trying to stop them from leaving
"Both of you are safe and I can sleep easier at night…if I can sleep" Big Chill tells Wasp
Wasp was going to go after Big Chill but Ant-man stopped her
"Hank!!!" Wasp says to Ant-man as he holds her back
"Let him go besides, it's not like there's much any of us can do at this point" Ant-man tells Wasp
"The people need our help, these villains that escaped could hurt them" Wasp argues
"And we'll deal with them but for now I'm sure they are focused on finding a place to hide" Ant-man tells Wasp
Wasp clearly didn't want Big Chill to go, for whatever reason she could feel a strong pain coming from them and wanted to be there to help them no matter what. Big Chill clearly wanted to leave but before he could take off there was a loud explosion off in the distance.
"What was that?" Big Chill asks
"It's the Raft" Wasp answers
Big Chill looks over across the water at an island and sees a large building suddenly lifted up into the air dropped like it was nothing
"The Raft is completely destroyed" Wasp said in awe
"What's the Raft?" Big Chill asked
"It was another supermax prison like the Big House" Wasp answered
"It must have been effected by the blackout as well" Ant-man said
Seeing the large prison lifted into the air and dropped like it was nothing worried Big Chill just a bit, he had never faced a villain with that kind of power
"I have got a really bad feeling about this" Big Chill said
"Whoever did that must be incredibly strong" Wasp said
"I've never heard of a being with that kind of power before" Ant-man said
"His name is Franklin Hall and he goes by the name Graviton" a voice said
Big Chill, Ant-man and Wasp turned around and saw a bald headed man in a black outfit with an eye patch limp down the stone stairs and slowly walk over to them
"Director Fury?" Wasp says confused
Big Chill saw a familiar looking eagle symbol on the man's jacket and recalled hearing that name before but couldn't remember where
"Are you telling me Dr. Franklin Hall the famous astrophysicist is the one responsible for doing that to the Raft?" Ant-man asked the man with the eye patch
"Unfortunately yes and he is heading for the city next" the man with the eye patch answered
"I thought that Dr. Hall had gone missing for all these years" Wasp said
"No, he was working for S.H.I.E.L.D, trying to replicate Dr. Erskine's super soldier serum when an accident happened that gave the good doctor the power to control gravity" the man with the eye patch explained
Big Chill wanted to leave now but for some reason he couldn't, staying still and not saying anything Big Chill continued to listen and learned more about who this Dr. Hall was and how much of a danger he was.
Author's Note
Hello there readers, here is the third chapter of Avenging and it looks like the breakout has officially begun. You got to see Ben use Big Chill this chapter but don't worry, Ben will use a few more aliens in the next chapter when he and the others fight Graviton. I should mention to you readers that I was able to talk to CaptainRex about our stories. They acknowledged that our stories do share similar elements but also are different. I explained that after this and the next chapter, my story will differ greatly from theirs. They also displayed a strong displeasure when they found out authors were bullied for writing a similar Avengers story to theirs. Hopefully it doesn't happen anymore but I doubt it will, bullying is wrong and you shouldn't do it, especially if it causes people to stop writing all together. I should also bring up that I have recently began a new crossover story, I am writing a Ben 10/Akame Ga Kill crossover and have released the first chapter for it yesterday. The next chapter that I am currently working on will be out this Sunday. Moving on, I'm now going to be responding to comments from the last chapter.
SHplayer: Don't worry about it, your comment was valid criticism and made me want to make the next chapter better then the first. I am glad you liked that I used Portaler in the story and don't worry he'll show up again.
Maximum Rhapsody: I have already planned on Ben teaming up with the X-men and other heroes in this story so don't worry about that. As for Ben going to high school, he's 18 in this story and I don't think that would work. As for a love interest, I thought about those two as a choice and I know I don't want to go down the Miss Marvel (Carol Danvers) route. I guess after some time either someone will suggest a love interest that sounds good or I will come up with something.
Guest: I am glad that you are liking this story and I cannot thank you enough for showing your support for it. When it comes to a word count for each chapter, I try to keep it at 4,000 words. If more people comment that the chapters are short, I'll probably go up to 5,000 or 6,000 words.
