Chapter 90
Olivia wasn't sure what woke her the following morning, something just didn't feel right. As she became aware, she felt a much smaller weight against her side then she was used to. Peaking an eye open, she looked down and found the honey blond head of her youngest daughter laying against her. She bent and kissed her hair before looking to the side and realizing her wife, however, was not in the bed. Looking at the clock on the bed side table, she saw it was barely after five in the morning. She carefully eased away from Emma and slid from the bed, putting on her robe before going to seek out her love.
Olivia quietly peeked in on Ava, and Sam, who had decided to stay until Frank was taken care of, before padding down the stairs. She found her wife sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of tea, starring out the window. Not wanting to startle her, she gently laid a hand on her shoulder. Natalia shook her head and then peered up of her wife.
"Hey." Olivia softly said.
"Hey."
"Whatcha doin'?" Olivia asked as she slid into the chair beside her wife, lacing their fingers together.
"Just thinking." The brunette answered, taking a sip from her tea.
"Are you worried about Frank?"
Natalia nodded. "Emma had another bad dream last night. I couldn't get her to calm so I just brought her to our bed."
Olivia squeezed her hand. "It's going to be okay honey. You won't be alone today, and Emma is going to be fine. We'll get through this."
"How can you be sure?"
"Because. Together, you and I can get through anything. Emma is scared right now, and I hate that for her. But, as soon as Frank is locked up, I'm sure she'll feel much better and the nightmares will stop."
"What if he doesn't do any time? Doris said he might only get some fines and community service."
"Then we will deal with it then. All we can do right now is our best to ensure our family is safe. Starting with your meeting with Frank. You still feel up to it?"
Natalia nodded absently. She didn't want to have to face Frank, to be alone with him. She didn't want to trick him. All she wanted was for him to go away. To let she and Olivia and their family have their happiness. She knew she had to do it though. He wasn't just gonna go away. He had proven that time and time again, and now Emma was suffering because of it. She finally raised her head to meet Olivia's eyes. "Yes. I'm ready to get this over with. I can't let Emma suffer because I'm afraid."
Olivia pulled Natalia closer and wrapped her arms around her petite frame. "Nothing is going to happen to you baby. I'll be right there, and so will Doris, and Remy too. I know you don't like this. I know you hate doing anything that is the slightest bit underhanded, but after this, it will all be over. Besides, I think this is better than when we blackmailed the mayor." She said. Trying to ease some of the tension from the room.
It didn't work, Natalia was too focused on Frank. "I know you'll be there, and I know you won't let anything happen to me, it's just, I wish I didn't have to do this, that he would just go away."
"I know sweetheart." Olivia said, kissing Natalia's temple. "Me too, but he won't. We know that. It's time to put an end to this once and for all."
Natalia just nodded as she lay her head on her wife's shoulder. "I know. I'm ready for it to be over. I want to start our life together."
"We will honey. Let's just get through today. Okay?"
"Yeah." Natalia responded solemnly "I'm gonna start some coffee and shower."
"Alright baby. I'll go and check on Emma."
They both stood, sharing a sweet kiss before going about their separate task.
When Natalia finished prepping the coffee machine, she went back to their room to shower in their en-suite. She quietly opened the door, knowing Emma would still be asleep since it wasn't even six yet. Laying on the bed, Olivia had Emma cradled in her arms and she was softly singing. Natalia smiled at the sight before continuing to the shower.
Olivia waited until the shower had been running a few minutes, continuing to softly sing to Emma, before she slipped back out of bed and entered the bathroom. Stripping of her night clothes, she silently entered the shower and stepped up behind Natalia, wrapping her arms around her and resting her chin on her shoulder.
"I love you Natalia."
Natalia interlocked her fingers with Olivia's over her stomach. "I love you too."
"It's gonna be okay."
Natalia didn't say anything, just spun in her wife's arms and kissed her passionately. She needed it. Needed the strength that she found in Olivia. Olivia kissed her back just as fierce. Giving Natalia whatever she needed. Once the kiss broke, the two took turns washing each other. Sharing loving caresses and tender kisses until they were both clean. They stepped from the shower, both getting dressed for the day. Once they were ready, Natalia went to start breakfast while Olivia woke Emma to get her ready for the day.
After breakfast, Emma got on the bus for school and the five adults all sat around the table. Sam finished his second cup of coffee and then opened the conversation they were all waiting to start. "So, I'm gonna go with you guys today, make sure nothing happens."
"Me too." Rafe said.
"Yeah, count me in." Ava added.
"No. I'm sorry guys, but everyone can't be there. This has to be discrete. If too many people are there it will draw attention. I'm sorry but Rafe, Ava, you two need to go to work. Besides, we have a lot going on and we can't really afford for all four of us to miss work. I will call you as soon as it's over."
"But mom, I want to go. I want to be there for you and Ma. Frank is a loose cannon at this point." Rafe tried to justify his going.
"I know son, and I would love for us all to be there, but we just can't risk it. Doris and I are going to be hidden and I am going to call Remy to meet me. Everything will be fine. I won't let anything happen to Ma."
"But…"
"No buts Rafe." Natalia said sternly. "Mom's right. We don't all need to be there and you and Ava have plenty of work to do at The Beacon. We'll be there as soon as we can."
"Fine." Rafe huffed.
"So, when are you going to meet him?" Ava asked, not all pleased she couldn't go either.
"I'm not sure. I haven't called him yet."
"Well, call him."
"I will. Why don't you and Rafe head to work, I'll call Frank and let you know when we are meeting."
"Sure Ma." Ava said sadly. She stood from her seat and dropped her coffee cup in the sink, tugging on Rafe's arm to get him to follow. She could tell Natalia didn't want to call him with everyone sitting there.
Once the kids left, Sam looked over at his sister pointedly. "I am going Olivia. You wouldn't let me protect you at your reception, I'm going to this time."
"Sammie, like I told the kids, I want you there, I really do, we just can't have too many people, it's more likely Frank will spot someone and know somethings up."
"Livvie, I know how to stay hidden. Come on, I'll feel so much better if I can be there."
"Sammie…."
"Okay stop, let me call Frank and see if he can even meet with me before we argue about who all is coming with me." Natalia stated with more bite then she meant to.
"You're right honey. Here, call him." She handed her the home phone, having already blocked his number from both of their cells.
Natalia took the phone with slightly shaking hands. Olivia moved around the table to kneel in front of her wife. She took Natalia's free hand in hers and gave it a squeeze. "It's okay sweetheart, I'm right here."
Natalia nodded and dialed the number, holding her breath while she waited for Frank to answer. After four rings he finally answered sounding slightly winded. "Natalia! Hi."
"Hey Frank. How are you feeling?"
"I'm good. None of Olivia's ex-husbands have a very hard hit."
"I'm sorry they did that to you Frank."
"Hey, it's not your fault. Don't worry about it. So, what can I do for you?"
"Well, um, I was, I was hoping maybe you could meet with me today. I'd like to talk to you about some things."
"Yeah, yeah of course." He answered a little too eagerly.
"Okay. Great. When's good for you?"
"Um, I can meet you anytime."
"Okay, how about oneish at the Gazebo in the park."
"It's a little cold for that don't ya think? How about you come to Company around noon and we can have some lunch while we talk."
"Um…" Olivia mouthed 'what' and Natalia whispered Frank's suggestion to her."
"Natalia?"
At Olivia's nod, Natalia answered. "Um, yeah. That sounds good. I'll see you then. Bye Frank." She hung up before he had time to even say goodbye. She felt guilty for lying to him, not that he didn't deserve what she was doing, she just did her best not to lie in general. She let herself slide into Olivia's lap on the floor and clung to her for a few minutes while she gathered herself.
Olivia just held her, knowing Natalia was hating this. Not only was it a little underhanded, but she also had to lie to Frank to get him to meet her and what they were doing went against a few of Natalia's beliefs. Olivia kissed the side of her head and whisper words of love until Natalia finally pulled back and sat back in her chair at the table.
"I'm so proud of you honey. I know this is hard for you, but I really do think it's for the best." Olivia said.
"I know, it is. I just hate lying."
"I know." Olivia stood from the ground and retook her seat next to her wife.
"So, what's the plan?" Sam asked.
"I'm going to meet him for lunch at Company at noon."
"Okay, great. Olivia and I can just so happen to wander in to meet with Doris for lunch."
"No, he won't talk if he sees Olivia, maybe not even if you or Doris is there."
"Then what? You can't go by yourself."
"Oh, I plan on being there." Olivia stated.
"How? If Frank sees you he won't utter a word, he'll know somethings up if he sees you and you're not with Natalia." Sam said.
"I'll think of something. Let me call Doris and tell her what's up. I'm sure between her and I we can come up with something."
"Alright." Natalia said. "I'm going to head into the office. It will be good for me to keep my mind busy until it's time."
"Are you sure honey?"
"Yeah, if I don't do something to keep me distracted, I'm just gonna stress myself out."
"Okay babe." Olivia understood that Natalia liked to stay busy when she was stressed or worried. She either threw herself into her work, or cleaning. Olivia was glad she chose work. The bleach smell when she chose cleaning always made Olivia feel a little sick.
Natalia stood from the table, placed her coffee cup in the sink, secured her coat around herself, and grabbed her purse. She gave Olivia a kiss good-bye and then was out the door headed for her church and then The Beacon.
Sam looked over at his sister who was staring at the door her wife just departed through. "You okay Livvie?"
Olivia shook her head and faced her brother. "Yeah, I'm good. I just hate this for her."
"I know. It's gonna be alright though. Just get through this and that bastard will be away from her and this family for good."
"I sure fucking hope so."
"So, what's your plan for being there without being seen, and how are you gonna get Remy there?"
"Remy's easy. I'll just ask if he and his wife would like to have lunch on me today. Tell him he may overhear something interesting. If I have him get there a little before noon, I can have Natalia choose a table near him."
"Okay. How are you going to be there?"
"I don't know yet. I'm gonna go see Doris. We work better in person."
"Okay then. Mind if I hitch a ride into town? I have a few things I need to pick up." He felt bad to lie to his sister, but there was no way Natalia was meeting Frank without him being there.
"Of course." The two put on their coats and headed out into the cold. Olivia dropped Sam off at the mini mart and headed over to Doris's office. As Doris often did to her, she didn't knock on the open door, merely strolled in, and seated herself in one of the chairs across from Doris.
"Well hello Spencer, so nice of you to knock."
"Oh, like you ever knock on my door."
"Good point. So, What's up?"
"Natalia called Frank."
"And?"
"He wanted to meet at Company at noon so they could have lunch while they talked. Said it was too cold to sit in the gazebo."
"Well that just complicates things."
"Yeah. I know. I told her to say yes. I figure I can get Remy there easy enough, just offer lunch for him and Christina on me, the problem is getting me there. I don't want her there by herself."
"Me neither. So, how we gonna pull this off?"
"I'm not sure. But we have to think of something."
"Alright, let's think about this. You're gonna have Remy and Christina be there having lunch."
"Yes. I figure I'll have them get there before Natalia and Frank so Natalia can be sure to sit by them."
"Okay, so why don't you and I meet there for lunch as well."
"Doris come on. If Frank sees me, he'll know somethings up. He's an ass hat and an idiot, but he's not completely dumb."
"You're right, bad plan. So, what are we gonna do?"
"I think I'm gonna have to talk with Buzz. See if maybe we can come in through the kitchen door and hide out in there."
"You gonna tell Buzz what's going on?"
"I don't know. Frank is his son. I wish I wouldn't have let Natalia agree to Company."
"Me too. The park made this so much easier."
"Ugg. What the hell am I gonna do?"
"We're gonna go down to Company for a cup of coffee and see what we can figure out. Maybe something will come to us if we are sitting there."
"I guess it's the best we've got right now."
Natalia pulled into The Beacon after stopping at her church to pray. It had been awhile since she had gone to church just to pray, but today she needed it. She turned off the engine and headed into her office. She knew she had a million emails to catch up on and it would help distract her until it was time to meet Frank.
Walking in, Natalia saw Rafe headed to the front desk. "Hey Rafe."
"Hey Ma. Give me just a sec and then I wanna know what's going on."
"I'll meet you in my office. Grab your sister on your way please."
Rafe nodded and went to finish what he was doing before getting Ava and meeting his Ma in her office.
Natalia walked into her office, shrugged off her coat and sat at her desk. As soon as her computer had finished booting, Ava and Rafe walked in closing the door behind them.
"What's up Ma." Rafe asked.
"Well, I called Frank. He and I are meeting at noon to talk."
"At the park?" Ava questioned.
"No, he wanted to meet over lunch at Company."
"Is that really a good idea?"
"I don't see how it's a whole lot different. Besides, he said it was too cold to meet at the gazebo. I didn't want to push too hard and make him suspicious."
"Okay. I get it. But how is mom going to be there?"
"I don't know if she can be. But Company is a public place and it will be busy at lunch time. He won't do anything."
"Are you sure about this Ma? I thought you wanted to meet at the park for privacy. More of a chance that he would actually talk." Rafe asked.
"We'll sit at the booth in the corner. It's more private and besides, he'll talk. He'll know if he doesn't then I won't speak to him anymore."
"Okay. If you're sure."
"I am."
"I really wish mom was going to be there though."
"I do too. Maybe she will be. You know your mom. She has a way of getting what she wants."
"Yeah, she kinda does." Ava agreed.
"Okay, I'd like to get some work done before I have to go meet with Frank. I would appreciate it if I could not be disturbed unless it's absolutely necessary."
"Sure Ma." Ava went around and kissed her cheek. "It's gonna be okay."
Natalia patted her arm. "Thanks sweetie."
Rafe went around and hugged his mother tightly before kissing her cheek. "It'll be over soon Ma."
"I know it will. Thank you Rafe."
Rafe nodded and left with Ava. Leaving Natalia to work in peace.
Olivia and Doris were sitting at the back booth in Company. Olivia knew this would be the best place for Natalia and Frank to talk. Remy and Christina could sit at a table nearby. They wouldn't be able to hear super well, but Olivia hoped Remy would hear enough. She looked around the restaurant and realized the only way she could be there and be close enough to hear if anything went wrong, would be if she hid in the restroom. It wasn't her ideal place to be, but, it would have to work.
"I'm thinking you and I are gonna have to stake out in the restroom."
"Are you serious Olivia?"
"Do you have a better idea? There is no other way for us to be here and be certain we won't be seen."
Doris looked around and realized that Olivia was right. She let out a huff and took a sip of her coffee. "You're gonna owe me big for this one Spencer."
"Yeah, yeah. You know I'm good for it Wolfe."
"Alright, so, you're gonna call Remy, invite him and Christina for lunch on your dime, we'll show them where to sit and then go hide in the bathroom."
"Yup, that's the plan."
"Well, I'm not gonna say it's the best one you've ever had, but, it'll have to do."
"That's how I feel." Olivia pulled out her phone and pulled up Remy's number. After a few rings he answered.
"Remy here."
"Hey Remy. It's Olivia."
"Hey Olivia. What can I do for you?"
"Well, I was wondering if you and Christina would be interested in lunch at Company today. It's on me."
"Um, I guess. What's this about?"
"Nothing. I just wanted to talk to you for a few minutes. Do you think you could come meet me around eleven thirty?"
"Uh, sure. I can do that."
"Thanks Remy. I'll see ya soon." She hung up and looked at her friend. "He'll be here at eleven thirty. I'll get him seated where I want him and then put a little bug in his ear about interesting conversations happening here around lunch time. Hopefully it will peak his interest enough to make him listen a little harder and overhear Frank and Natalia."
Doris raised her glass. "Here's hoping."
Olivia clanked glasses with her and the two finished their coffee before heading out for a couple hours, then meeting back at Company by eleven thirty. Doris headed to her office to attempt to get some work done and Olivia went in search of her wife.
After spending a little time with Natalia, making sure she was still okay with her plan and giving her the details, Olivia met back up with Doris at Company and the two waited for Remy and Christina. After just a few minutes, the happy couple walked in.
"Hey Olivia, Mayor Wolfe." Remy Said.
"Hi. How are you?" Olivia responded.
"Good. So uh, what's the meaning of this?"
"Nothing really, I just, I thought it would be nice for you and Christina to have a nice lunch together."
"Olivia, I know you better than that."
"Fine." Olivia said exasperated. "I was hoping you might keep your ears open while you enjoy lunch. There are often interesting conversations going on around here at lunch time."
"Olivia, what's really going on?"
"Alright look." Doris interjected. "Natalia wants to talk with Frank, see if she can get him to move on and Olivia is worried about her. We thought that if you were here you could make sure nothing happens."
"See, was that so hard? Of course, I'll do that."
"Thank you." Olivia said. "Here, if you guys will just sit here." She pointed to the table they were standing next to. "I know Natalia is gonna have Frank sit over there at the back booth. From here you should be able to hear them and make sure everything is going okay."
"Okay, I can do that." He pulled out Christina's chair and then took the one across from her closest to the table Frank and Natalia would be at.
"Alright, I already told Buzz to put it on my tab. I gotta go so Frank doesn't see me, I don't want him to get angry before he talks with Natalia."
"Alright. I'll let you know if anything happens."
"Thank you." Olivia gave a small smile and she and Doris walked towards the restroom where they intended to stay.
Unbeknownst to anyone, Sam was outside watching through the window, he had seen Frank go in the back door and once he saw Olivia and Doris slip into the restroom, he took himself inside and sat at the far end of the bar. He ordered a cup of coffee and hid his face behind a newspaper.
A few minutes later, Natalia walked in obviously nervous. Remy followed her with his eyes as she walked to the booth and waited for Frank. Blake took her drink order and told her Frank was in the kitchen talking with Buzz and said he would be out in a minute.
"Pop, I think this could be a really good thing. Maybe not giving up and going to that reception showed Natalia that I really am what's best for her." Frank said to his father.
"I don't know Frank. Look at you. You have bruised ribs, you wrist is in a brace, and your nose was busted again. I really think you should just stay away from them."
"No Pop. She called me. That has to mean something."
"Maybe she just wants what she said. To talk to you and maybe get your friendship back. I'm sorry Frank, but I know she's happy with Olivia. I don't think this is what you think this is."
"Either way, I'm going to go talk to her. I want to be with her and this could be the first step to that. I'll see ya later Pop."
As he started to walk away, Buzz called after him. "Just be careful Frank, you and I both know Olivia is not one to mess with."
Frank said nothing, just walked out of the kitchen and went to join Natalia. He walked over with a huge smile on his face. Limping slightly from the bruised ribs. "Hey Natalia. I'm so glad you called me. How are you?"
"I'm fine Frank. How are you? Looks like you're not doing so well."
"Oh this, I'm fine, those guys didn't do much damage. So uh, I'm really glad you wanted to talk."
"Yeah, me too. I think we need to get somethings straightened out."
"Yeah, okay. So, what did you want to talk about?" He asked. Trying to keep his excitement out of his voice.
Blake came to the table and dropped off a coffee for Frank and a tea for Natalia, looking skeptically at the pair. "Here you go, would you like to order something?"
"I already told Pop what I wanted. Natalia, would you like something?"
"Um, not at the moment. I'm not really hungry. Thank you Blake." Her stomach had been doing summersaults all morning and she feared putting anything in would cause her to be sick.
"No problem, just let me know if you change your mind." With that, the redhead walked away.
"So…" Frank started.
"So uh, yes. I wanted to talk to you about everything that happened. Frank I really appreciate and value your friendship. You have done so much for me and Rafe since I came to town. I think of you as a very good friend."
"I am your friend Natalia…"
She held up her hand to stop him. "But, the things that have happened over the past year, they're not okay Frank."
"Natalia, I'm just trying to protect you. You have to understand that. I mean, come on, you know how Olivia can be, I just don't want to see you get hurt. You're too good a person for that."
"I appreciate that Frank, I really do. But Olivia is not who she used to be, she's changed."
"Olivia Spencer can't change. Leopards can't change their spots Natalia."
"Alright, I didn't come here for a bag on Olivia session. I came here to talk to you about us, about our friendship. Can we please do that, without insulting my wi…Olivia every other word?" She knew saying the word wife would set him off and she needed him to stay and talk.
"Yes, I'm sorry. We can do that. So uh, what exactly do you want to talk about?"
"Well, I would like to try and get our friendship back on track."
"I would love that." Frank said, thinking that if he could get her to trust him again then maybe he could finally get her to see that they belong together. She doesn't belong with Olivia.
"In order to do that, I need you to really take ownership of the things you've done over the past year or so. It's important to me that you understand that what you did was wrong. It hurt people."
"What do you mean Natalia, all I did was try and protect you, make you understand…."
She cut him off. "Frank we had one dinner together and you decided I was going to marry you. Doesn't that seem a little crazy?"
"I can see where some might think that, but really, it didn't happen like that for me. We had been friends, and you are so amazing Natalia, I fell in love with you long before that dinner."
Natalia gripped her own leg, letting her nails dig in so she could try and remain calm. "Okay Frank, but what about the things you did when I told you I didn't want to be more then friends? You grabbed me and were screaming at me when I told you I didn't want more then friendship, that's not something you do to someone you claim to love."
"I know, and I'm sorry about that Natalia, I shouldn't have done that. I just, I care about you so much, and I just wanted you to really give us a chance. I thought you were giving up too soon."
"And what about Rafe? Going to see him at the prison, lying to him? You told him we were together, for months when we weren't. He was so confused."
"I'm sorry about that too. Maybe I shouldn't have lied to him like that, but I knew we were going to be together and I just wanted him to be prepared for that for when he got out."
"Frank, we weren't together, I was with Olivia."
Anger flashed in Franks eyes at the mention of her and Olivia together, but he was able to contain it. "Natalia, come on, I knew you would eventually see that Olivia wasn't right for you. Obviously you have or you wouldn't be here. Right?"
Natalia took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a moment. Opening them, she ignored that comment and just continued on the path she was on, he was admitting the things he had done and that's what she was here for. "Frank, you kissed me when I didn't want it. And then you trapped me in Coop's room after his memorial, you have to see how wrong that was."
"Yes, it was wrong Natalia, I shouldn't have stopped you from leaving, but I won't apologize for kissing you. I could tell you wanted me to, you were just freaked out after, and I should have let you leave and sort out your thoughts. I know my keeping you there is probably part of why it's taken so long to get here."
Natalia felt bad that Frank thought she was there for them to try and be together, but she knew she had to keep him talking and admit everything, so once again she ignored his last comment and kept going. This was for her family. "Frank you proposed even after I told you I didn't want to be with you, months after that dinner, then you lied to Rafe, the parole board, and Emma. She was so hurt and so confused, and so was Rafe. You tried to use my son and a sweet little girl to get me to agree to marry you when I already said no. Before that, you used Olivia's past against her trying to make her run from me. You made her doubt herself so much. She almost left me after Henry's christening. She was so scared that you were right and she was this horrible person. And when I still didn't leave her, you got in that fight with Doris's bodyguards and again tried to make Olivia leave me by throwing her past in her face."
"Natalia, look, I'm sorry about what happen when Rafe got released to the half-way house. I shouldn't have lied to the parole board; I know that could have really messed things up for Rafe. And I shouldn't have tricked Emma the way I did. She's such a sweet little girl, I just, I thought that if Rafe and Emma were both on board, then you would see how right we are for each other." He responded, completely ignoring the things she said about Olivia.
"Frank, you tried to talk me out of my wedding a week before it and ended up hurting me, you assaulted me and left bruises on me and then bribed me not to press charges by threatening to have my son thrown back in jail for defending me." She said, with more bite then she meant to.
Remy's ears had perked up at this point. He knew a lot of what had been said, these things spread like wildfire in a small town, but if Frank admitted to what Natalia was accusing him of, as an officer, he had no choice but to make an arrest.
"Natalia, look, I'm so sorry. I would never hurt you on purpose."
"You did Frank. You held me there against my will and caused instant bruising. I was terrified Frank. I didn't know what you were going to do."
"I really didn't mean to hurt you, but come on, was it really that bad? And as for Rafe, I would never do anything to hurt him, I just, I couldn't risk losing my badge or ending up in jail, I knew if I threatened to press charges on Rafe, that you would convince Olivia to drop the whole thing. I know it wasn't you, it was Olivia."
Before Natalia could reply, Remy was standing at the table in front of them with a scowl on his face and his cuffs out. Frank looked up at him in surprise.
"Remy, hey man, what are you doing here?"
"Stand up Frank."
"What? Why?"
"You are under arrest," he grabbed Franks arm and lifted him from the booth as he continued. "For assault against Natalia Spencer-Rivera." He was trying to get Franks hands behind his back but Frank was resisting.
"No, no hey man wait, you don't know what you're talking about."
"I was sitting right here Frank, I heard you admit to assaulting her and bribing your way out of any sort of recourse. Unless Natalia chooses not to press charges, I have no choice, as an officer of the law, I have to arrest you. Now put your hands behind your back please."
"No, no, Natalia, tell him, tell him it's just a miss-understanding."
Doris and Olivia emerged from the restroom and came to stand behind Natalia who had stood from the table. Sam was on the other side of Frank, doing all he could to resist hitting the man. "I don't think it was a miss-understanding." Olivia said. "Honey?"
Remy was placing the cuffs on him and reading him his rights when Natalia finally looked at him with disgust. "No, no miss-understanding. This man assaulted me a few weeks ago, my son stopped him and he bribed me and my wife to not press charges by threatening to have our son thrown in jail for protecting his mother against a crazed cop." She spat at him.
"Natalia, Natalia come on." He looked up at Olivia. "This is all your fault. We were here to talk about us, she was going to leave you for me, that's why she wanted to talk to me and you must have heard and called Remy. Why can't you just let her and I be happy."
Olivia stepped forward but Natalia stopped her. "No Frank, that's not why we were here. I wanted to talk to you, to make you admit everything you did to me and my family. How much you've hurt me and them. You're traumatized my little girl to the point that she is having nightmares. You crashed my wedding reception, which, was the happiest day of my life. Olivia, MY WIFE, is a better person then you could ever dream of being. How could I ever want to be with a man like you? You're pathetic. It's no wonder Olivia didn't want you; how could anyone ever want you? You're a delusional little man with what I can only guess is a very small penis. Good-bye Frank." Before she could think better of it, she slapped him across the face and brought her knee up to his man hood. Remy holding him is the only thing that kept him standing.
Remy pulled on him to get him to walk and he took him out to his car, nodding to Olivia on the way. Buzz just watched it all happen, knowing it was probably for the best, he made eye contact with Olivia for a brief moment, before bowing his head and walking back to the kitchen.
Natalia turned and fell into her wife's arms. As much as she was glad Frank wouldn't be a problem anymore, she hated setting him up like that. Olivia wrapped her arms around her and stroked her fingers through her hair. She kissed the top of her head and whispered soothing words. "I'm sorry honey, I know that was hard for you."
Natalia pulled back to look Olivia in the eyes. "It was, at first, but after recalling everything he did to our family, I'm just glad he's gone now." Sam walked over and placed a hand on each of their backs offering support.
"Me too. We should probably get down to the station, I'm sure Remy is going need a full report, and I'm sure he's a little angry at me for not giving him the full story when I asked him here." She turned her face towards Doris. "Could you run and get those files and pictures form your office so we can give them to Remy?"
"Of course, I'll meet you guys at the station."
"Thanks Doris."
Doris's nodded, rubbed down Natalia's back and headed to her office.
Olivia looked down at her wife. "Come on, let's get this over with." Natalia only nodded as she started to pull away to grab her things. Olivia pulled her back and crashed their lips together. This kiss for was strength and support. It was for finally getting rid of Frank and being able to move forward with their family.
