Disclaimer: I do not own anything from Godzilla the Series, only how the story goes. Everything from Godzilla the Series belongs to Toho and Tristar. The only thing that I do own are the OC's of the story. I do apologize for any errors in grammar and/or if I was not accurate in reference to something.

A/N: Don't expect this to be too long. Not to mention that it's mostly a short story that acts like a prologue to some future stories that I'll right.

The Odd Storm Returns

Dark clouds were hanging over the New York skies as it seemed peaceful at H.E.A.T. headquarters. Inside the old boat house, everyone was pretty much doing their own thing. Nick Tatapolus, a man in a brown over shirt, green shirt and light brown pants and Elsie Chapman, a woman wearing a dark green shirt and blue jeans, were going over a few samples from their last mission. Mendel Craven, a man wearing a white lab coat, yellow shirt and brown pants, was working on a yellow robot. Randy Hernandez, a man wearing a blue over shirt, white T-shirt and blue pants, was currently updating some software. And finally, Monique Dupree, a woman wearing a black over shirt and a pink underneath and black pants, was looking over a few weapons for their next mission.

"Any movement from Godzilla?" Nick asked Randy. The computer expert of the group looked over on a monitor to see if there was any movement. When he didn't see anything, he looked back to Nick and said, "Nothing to report, Nick."

Down below in New York's harbor, there was a large hole on the bottom of the sea floor. And down a long tunnel in a large cavern, a large reptilian creature was sleeping. The creature had a large square shaped head, large jagged dorsal plates running down its back. Suddenly it's eye shot open and Godzilla lifted his large head. He could sense something not too far from his home and to him it felt threatening to his territory and to his parent.

Godzilla rose up before diving into the large pool of water that allowed both entrance and exit from his lair.

Back up topside, a beeping went off and everyone ran for the computer. They saw an icon that represented Godzilla quickly making it's way out of the lair. Nick then said, "Let's go monster hunting."

"Right behind you, heffe." Randy said as they all made a B-line out of the room. They quickly boarded the H.E.A.T. Seeker with N.I.G.E.L. the last one. Once everyone was aboard, Monique punched the controls and the boat zoomed out of H.E.A.T. Headquarters. Elsie was manning the sonar and reported, "Godzilla's doing a speed of about twenty knots."

"Must be in a hurry to get things finished." Randy commented. Mendel then asked, "Any idea what's got him so worked up?"

"No idea." Nick shook his head. But then he said, "But we need to be ready for anything."

"Aye, aye, Captain." Elsie saluted and earned a slight look from Nick.

Godzilla surfaced for a moment before diving back down like he usually does. The H.E.A.T. Seeker continued to follow after their giant reptilian friend when Randy spotted something from the deck. Looking back to the helm he pointed out to the sea. Everyone looked to where the hacker was pointing and became surprised when they saw where Godzilla was heading for. A large storm cloud was slowly rolling in and Elsie said, "Any one else getting a sense of deja vu here?"

"You're not the only one." Nick agreed. The only one out of the loop was Mendel when he asked, "How exactly does this feel familiar to you guys?"

"Uh…" Both Nick and Elsie said trying to come up with an answer, while Monique, thought knowing what they were talking about, stayed quiet. But before they could answer, a beep went off on the radar and they looked out to see that Godzilla had stopped. Nick then asked, "Is he, waiting for something?"

"Kind of looks like it." Monique said with a quirked brow. She brought the H.E.A.T. Seeker to a stop just about a few yards from the large lizard and they all looked about. They couldn't see any mutations, but they did notice that the large storm getting a lot closer. Deciding to take action, Nick said, "Mendel, use the Godzilla signal to try and lure him back to New York. I'd rather not get caught up in another one of these if it's what I think it is."

"What exactly would it be if it were?" Mendel asked while getting ready to launch the signal. After thinking about it, Nick then said, "I'll tell you when we get back to headquarters. Promise."

"Uh, fine." Mendel complied. But before he could fully turn on the signal, the boat started to rock. Everyone cried out from the violent shaking. Even Godzilla could tell that it was starting to get rough.

The skies above started to get darker and the humans of the group rushed out onto the deck. Everyone, both man and mutation looked to the skies as the dark clouds started to swirl around them. A nervous Randy said, "Not looking forward to this again."

"Me neither." Elsie said just as everything went dark.

Author's Note: Sorry for disappointing you all like that, but I did say that this wouldn't be long. Like I said, this is just a prologue of sorts. Somewhat like for the episode, 'Future Shock', the storm was meant as a passage. For both things going in and coming out. I'll let you know which is which when I make the stories. I look forward to reading your reviews. Be sure to leave a comment either about if I've done something wrong or if you want something specifically to happen. See you next time.

P.S. First entry of the year! Awesome! :-)
