Hello everyone. Boy, this is something that I wanted to write as a one-shot. I just saw Danmachi-Memoria Freese, the even was called Dungeon Whiteout Tale, and it involved the Xenos. I loved it very much, even though I know it isn't canon. To my headcanon, it happened. Now, I do like the dynamics of looked like a nice touch of Bell and Ray together, and I looked online here and found not one here. It is a shame really, so I decided to write this one-shot, I might write more on here to give more stories here in the future. So hope you all enjoy it.

Disclaimer: I don't own Danmachi, all rights go to the author of all the characters.

Ray stared at the fire, crackling gently as the others were asleep. She was still awake as her mind couldn't stop thinking of one boy. No, he wasn't a boy, he was a man who saved her more than once. A man who had his reputation falling rock bottom, due to how he protected Wienne, and how ow he was refusing to fight them, when Hermes forced them to do it, for the sake of restoring his name and fame.

He was still able to recover it, thanks to his fight against Asterious. She smirked how they had a rivalry going ever since he beat him, when he was still a mindless monster. She thinks it has to do with a story the humans had of Argonaut, from what she had heard. Bell does fit the character, willing to save the damsel in distress with a smile.

She couldn't forget how she was saved by him again when Muller released an abomination of a monster. She couldn't forget his ruby red eyes, full of righteous anger as she was held by the tentacles of the monster. He destroyed not only the large creature but the others. How he held her right after she fell.

She felt like a princess being saved by her shining armor knight. She liked it.

Was she falling for him? A human who is strong, kind, gentle, and loving who is trying to find a way to have the Xenos and the people on the surface to get along? Was she falling in love with him?

Maybe. However, she wondered whether he could love a monster like her. Something that she knows if it does get out of it, it will destroy his reputation and will cause problems in the long run. But what if there was a way to bring them closer together in some way.

Could it work?

She sighed. She had to take a risk, but how to do it? How?

She will wait the next morning and ask Fear about it. Maybe even Fels, if he's not busy?

She yawned and closed her eyes. She knows Lid is doing his time to look around, thankfully.

Next day
"You want to talk to Bell?" A red haired siren looked at her with a bit of surprise.

"Yes, but... I need to meet with him though." She looked determined to do this.

"Oh?" she looked at her curiously "How come?"

She contemplated it this for a while and gave an answer "It's just something that came up a few days ago after the Muller incident."

"Oh. Hmmm...maybe write a note to him?"

The Siren chuckled "I wish I could write, but…"

She showed her lack of hands and Fear chuckled "Yeah, sorry about that. I think we can ask Fels to help us out."

"I hope he can. If he has time."

"Oh, I'm sure he wouldn't mind at all."

She nodded and pondered what to say on the letter and where to meet up. She knew of few locations that they both can meet up and chat up. She is nervous about it.

Few hours passed
"I'm sorry, you wanted me to write a letter to Bell?"

She nodded as she looked into the hooded Sage. She felt embarrassed about it, and her face blushed redder.

"And what is the purpose of it?"

"I….I need to see him about something."

It was silent and wondering why. Fels tilted its head a bit and stared at her. Then it began to chuckle in understanding the reason behind it.

"I see. It is a risk doing this though."

She sighed and nodded "I know, but….I have to know though. I have nothing to lose at all."

It looked over to the pages and quill with ink not far off. "Very well. Let me get started."

She smiled "Thank you Fels."

"I can't believe I am writing this for love." It mumbled to itself.

Fels sat down and got ready to write "I am ready, whenever you are."

She then began to tell Fels what to write.

Hearth's Mansion
Bell was laying on his bed and sighed. He came from another intense training with Ais, and he felt he was getting close to catching her up. He is sensing the gap is closer, but not enough to it. He is glad that his relationship with Ais not only was repaired, but improved with the Xenos, due to the common enemy of Evilus.

He does want to get closer to her to fight on equal grounds.

Then he began to think about Wienne knowing she is safe and sound with the other Xenos. The most he thought about was saving Ray. He remembered how helpless she was. She was strong on her right, but was caught off guard being caught by the creature, and watched how Muller laughed and mocked her. How he was going to use her to further his sick and twisted experiments.

He couldn't take it. She was free to be herself, he wanted to save her.

His ability awakened again and destroyed the enemies. He wanted to make sure not one of them would get near anyone of those he cares for, especially Ray. He held on to her and stared down at Muller.

He is caught of course and Ray is safe as well. He still was surprised how close they were and her scent was unique, very flowery and a hint of chocolate. He smirked as he remembered how she helped Wienne and Fear give out chocolates.

He then heard a knock.

"Come in."

In came Haruhime with a letter at hand.

"Master Bell, I got this letter for you."

He smiled, "Thanks."

He opened it and read it:

Bell,

I asked Fels to write this. If you can meet me on the 19th floor, we can talk alone. Use the orb to open up the shortcut and meet up as soon as possible. Please.

Ray.

He looked at the letter in a peculiar manner and began to think about this. He could make it to the floor without any problem. He then looked at Haruhime.

"Haruhime, can you let the others know I am heading to the Dungeon to meet up with someone."

She nodded "Okay."

He began to put on his armor, took his blades and left. Haruhime prayed that he would be safe and sound.

One hour later…
Bell made it to the 19th floor, where he met Wienne and then Ray. He looked around the swamp-like area and sat on a trunk for a moment. No monsters around.

"Are you alone?"

He heard the voice of Ray. He looked around and said "Yes."

She appeared behind a tree with her red cloak on. She walked toward him and stopped and took the hood off and smiled softly.

"Hello Bell."

"Ray." He smiled and nodded. He got up and looked at her.

"Are you alright, and the others?"

Always thinking about everyone before him, something she fell in love for.

"Yes. There is something I wanted to talk to you about."

"Sure, go ahead."

She began to think of ways to do this. She took a deep breath and began "Do you...do you believe that one day the Xenos will get along with the people on the surface?"

He blinked and easily replied "I do believe so."

"Do you think that one day, we might end up in a relationship with those up there as well?" She blushed a little.

Bell began to think about this carefully. He could see it as a possibility "Maybe. Could be."

That was the easy part, now the hard part.

"Bell...if someone within the Xenos liked you more than a friend….would you be willing to give a chance to it?"

Bell now was blushing a bit "Ummm….I don't know...I'm not very good at this to be honest. I haven't been on that level of liking at all to be honest."

He looked down.

"Bell."

He looked up and noticed something about the Siren. Her eyes were glowing with life and saw her cheeks red.

"Bell….if I told you it was me...that likes you more than a friend….would you give it a chance?"

A girl confessing his feelings, one that is a Xenos adds to that.

This was very complicated for him. He had women like Hestia and others confessing his feelings for him, but his relationship with them was different than others. Not even close to love. Ais, maybe, but as time passed, he began to realize one thing about his feelings about Ais: It was just a crush. Something that he did fancied when he met her, but over time, he saw her as a friend.

Now this is different. He saved a monster- no, a beautiful woman from a monster that was going to do worse things to her. He is reminded by Finn of how they are not the monsters this time around.

She began to look nervous as he was taking a while to think. What if he doesn't feel that way? What if he rejected her harshly?

Then he looked at her, and grabbed her wings as her face became redder.

"Ray. I have been thinking about you today and numerous things began to hit me on my mind and heart. Warmth, care, and happiness. Even motivation."

Now Ray was feeling her own heartbeat going faster and faster.

"At this point, I may care for you more than a friend and I told myself if I wanted to be with someone to share my heart, maybe it would be you. I don't really care what others tell me or what others might call me, but being with you will be all worth it."

He chuckled as he still held her wings.

She smiled softly "Bell...I do like you, a lot. And I know it will be difficult to keep a relationship because of how others will see it, how to meet up, what to eat, and such. I know that on the surface people will look at you differently and also will try to stop this. They will do anything they can too-"

She stopped and was surprised by a kiss by Bell.

Bell saw what was coming, a rambling of almost the exact same thing he said. He then remembered what his grandfather said 'If a woman does love you, and starts rambling doubts, kiss her. It will show you are willing to be with them, and it will shut them up'

For Ray though, she liked it. She kissed back and Bell was surprised by it, both then held one another. Then both parted away as both blushed and looked away and chuckled.

"It felt...great!" Bell looked at her as she looked back and smiled.

"So….do we try to meet up here?"

"We might have to change it each time. Just to be safe than sorry. If there is a way we can communicate to meet up and just talk, maybe have a picnic, and maybe...kiss?"

She giggled. His innocence is endearing. She then gave him a necklace.

"Just call out my name and we can communicate like this in secret. When the world is ready for us, then we won't need it anymore."

He nodded as both hugged and held onto each other. Their heartbeats are going fast.

"Bell...I love you."

"I love you too...Ray"

As the hug ended, both knew they had to leave, or concern would grow.

"Take care Bell."

"You too, Ray."

He then walked and headed back to the surface as Ray went back to the village.

Bell's motivation changed. He isn't going to get stronger to be even with Ais now, this time, he is getting stronger to be able to protect Ray and to maybe bring harmony between those on top and the Xenos. He has a newer purpose. And he is willing to fight for it. No matter what.

End.

A/N: Yes, I know that there isn't any honorifics on this one. I suck at it, can't stick with it. Made it easier that way. I know some would like me to continue, but I rather keep it as a one shot. If anyone wants to continue this story, I will give permission to it, it might give a nice challenge to other writers.

So until then, thank you all for reading and hope you all have a wonderful day.
