The Commandos hauled the crate back into their stronghold.

"Between this and what we already had, we might have a chance." Dugan said. "I call the minigun." He said as he hoisted the weapon to bear.

"Fury to Prince, come in, over." The radio crackled.

Diana picked up the radio. "This is Prince, I read you loud and clear, over."

Fury's voice came in somewhat down over the radio. "Prince, I've got a communique from command that I'm to order your unit to retreat so we can call in our bombers, and level the place."

The room got quiet fast. "But," Fury continued; "that message got corrupted in transmission, and could take a day or more for us to send the request for a new copy, receive, decode, and confirm it, so I'll leave that decision up to you. Over and out."

Dugan and Logan looked at Diana expectantly.

"What's our move, princess?" Logan asked.

Diana stared down at the map. A wide-open expanse lay between them and a heavily-fortified, incredibly well-armed bunker. There was no cover for nearly a mile, and the Germans had a mixture of the best of Hydra's weaponry and their own. They had a shot. It was a long one, but it was a shot.

"We're with him until the end of the line." She said.

Logan grinned, and lit up a cigar. "I like the sound of that." He said as he unsheathed his claws.

Dugan was taken aback by the sight. "Have you always had those?" He asked.

"Yep." Was Logan's only response.

Atop the Führerbunker, members of Hitler's personal guard, the Leibstandarte division of the Waffen-SS, kept a watchful eye on the Reichstag building through their binoculars and rifle scopes.

"Report, Corporal." Generalmajor Otto Kumm commanded one of the men.

"No activity yet, Generalmajor." The man replied. Not since ze airdrop."

Kumm swore. "Shceisse. God only knows vat vas on zat plane. Ve vould've seen it earlier if not for ze Fuhrer's damned games."

The corporal spotted movement. "Generalmajor!" He exclaimed. "Ze doors are opening!"

Kumm shook his head with a snarl of disgust, and picked up a microphone. "Take your final positions!" He shouted, both to his men on the roof and into the mic. "Remember ze Fuhrer's orders. Don't fire until zey cross ze line!"

The Wonder Woman was the first to exit the building. She strolled out with a fire in her eyes and a determined step. She walked up to the very edge of the line and stood there. The wild man came next. Then, the man in a bowler hat.

"Scheisse, zat's von of our miniguns!" One of the lookouts swore.

"Vat?!" Kumm demanded, and snatched a pair of binoculars from one of the enlisted men. Sure enough, Dugan held a HYDRA-designed Minigun.

"Scheisse!" He swore. "Ve should have taken zat ven ve left ze Reichstag behind!" He slammed the binoculars down on the edge of the roof.

"Sir." One of the snipers said. "Zey're not moving. Zey appear to be taunting us."

Kumm scooped the binoculars up from where he'd slammed them, and looked back at the trio. The wild man, the one they called Logan, had extended something from his gloves, it appeared. Three white spikes. Then, he retracted the outer two spikes on both sides.

Thwip! A bullet whizzed through the air, and embedded itself in Kumm's shoulder, knocking the man to the roof of the bunker. The Generalmajor clutched at his now-bleeding shoulder as he sat up, and shouted "Open fire!"

The first line of soldiers opened-fire with their rifles. They shot fast, but Diana was faster. She knocked every bullet from its trajectory with lightning reflexes, just like she'd trained to on Themyscira. Dugan jumped into the trench and fired his minigun at the Germans with a primal roar. His blind fire tore through their cover, and the men behind it.

Logan, meanwhile, jumped across the trench and bounded through the barbed wire and spikes like they didn't exist. He dove into a pack of Germans with his claws extended, and rended their flesh from their bones like a spikey tornado. The men fled their posts screaming as Logan stabbed, slashed, and committed many general acts of mutilation on them.

Diana backed up as far as she could, then took a running leap over the trench, far longer than Logan's.

"Company, advance!" She shouted as she drew her sword and shield.

Suddenly, Dernier popped out from the shadows, and lobbed a grenade into the last of the three German encampments in their immediate way. The grenade sent the men inside flying with its explosion, and no sooner had it, than Diana cut a path through the barbed-wire maze. With a series of slashes to the left and the right, she freed the wire from its bounding points and pushed it out of the way with her shield.

The other members of the Howling Commandos followed close behind her, save Falsworth and Jones, who stayed behind in the Reichstag building to provide covering fire.

"Dugan!" Diana shouted behind her as she turned, but Dugan was no longer in the trench. He was ahead of her and the others, having seemingly cut a path through the wire with his minigun.

"Sorry, cap!" He shouted as he poured blue lightning into a pillbox ahead of them. "You were taking too long!"

Atop the small bunker was a mortar launcher. They aimed a round at Diana, but she batted it away with her shield, and it exploded harmlessly far away from it's intended target.

Dernier threw a satchel-charge into the air, and Diana whacked it towards the mortar emplacement with her shield, and the entire top of the pillbox disintegrated in a ball of fire.

The Commandos advanced further through the hellscape, cutting a near endless swath through the German troops. The blood of their enemies dyed the snow beneath their feet red. Their blades ran slick with the same blood, and their guns only stopped firing to cool down or reload.

It came to a point where the light infantry soldiers fled their posts before facing the Commandos. Kumm, whose shoulder had been patched-up in the intervening time, grabbed his microphone, and shouted "All who do not remain at zeir posts vill be shot, is zat clear?!" Into the device.

Once he'd had a chance to realize that, despite his orders, there were few men on the ground left to obey or enforce that order, he shook his head, and grumbled. "Send in ze tanks!"

The enhanced tanks sped their way, but in a flash, Diana leapt into the air, landed on top of one in front of the turret and twisted the gun into a knot. Dernier threw grenades under the treads of the remaining tanks as fast as he could pull the pins, and Dugan blew apart the entire battalion's light weaponry with a burst from his minigun and a cackle.

Logan jumped out of the way of cannon fire, and leapfrogged from one tank to another. Some of the... Less than intelligent gunners tried to snipe him off the other tanks, but only succeeded in blowing holes in the other vehicles, as their target had long since departed by the time the blast exited the cannon. Steadily, they took apart the entire Panzer battalion the way they'd taken out a legion of soldiers, swiftly, and without an ounce of hesitation. Diana ripped and pounded the steel with her bare hands, and the others used their weapons to demolish the machines.
