Hi there,
I'm so - so - sorry if you got a notification about this chapter being uploaded and you've already read it! I just decided to separate the Epilogue from the post-credits scene because I've noticed people have missed it.
To make up for it, I do want to tell you that I'm thinking about writing a sequel to this story, which would continue the day after the post-credits scene. The storyline is almost written out, but before I commit to it, I'm going to take that little break from writing.
And btw, I have put the final (Beta-read) version online, and changed a scene in chapter 23. So if you feel like reading the story again, enjoy!
Credits:
I want to thank Eye of the Panda [FF] / the_eye_of_the_panda [AO3] for inspiring me to write my own Fan Fiction and for being my post-beta! You really helped to polish the story and I'm forever grateful. Her stories are great, so if you have the time, check them out.
And most important: I want to thank QueenKeesie [FF] for her support, advice and company from chapter 19 onward. It was so much more fun and you helped me a lot. Thnx! I'll return the favor with her story: role reversal , so if you like you can check that one out too :).
Post-credits scene:
"Are you sure this is the right way?" Sharpener asked, a bit unsure. He had never been to this part of the mansion before.
"Yeah, just a little further." Erasa didn't slow her pace. She was worried sick because she hadn't heard from Videl in almost two hours and the rumors weren't good. "Videl wasn't in her room, so this is the only place she could be."
"What about Brains? Do you really think he left?" Sharpener said gloomily. He had hoped he could have spent more time with him at the party. It sounded stupid, but he wanted to have some bro-time with him, at least share a beer or a good story. But instead, he'd walked away from the beer pong table and Sharpener hadn't seen him since.
"Punaise had seen him by the front door, grabbing his satchel as he hastily left. She said he looked messy and skittish and oddly enough he was barefoot. If I'm to believe the rumors, Mr. Satan did a number on him and he fled the premises." Erasa sighed, "Poor boy, this evening should have been a fun night for him, instead everything is messed up."
She stopped in front of a door and put her ear against it. "I knew it," she sighed again, her expression concerned, "I hear muffled sounds, I think she's crying." Her expression saddened. Erasa knew that if Videl wanted to be alone, she would come to her mother's room, the only place where her father or any of the servants would not disturb her.
"You stay here," she turned her attention to Sharpener, "I'll try to comfort her and hopefully convince her to come downstairs again."
Sharpener nodded, "Tell her we are about to play a game, maybe that will distract her from the things that happened."
Erasa only gave him a friendly smile, Sharpener was never good at this kind of talk, but he tried. Then she took a deep breath before carefully opening the door and sneaked in. Sharpener watched the door close and tried to make it himself comfortable by leaning against the wall. This would probably take a while.
But just when he found the right spot, the door opened again and Erasa stepped out with a shocked expression on her face.
"What happened?" Sharpener asked concerned, "Is she okay?"
"Oh yeah, she's more than okay," Erasa looked very pale. "Let's go," she commanded and walked away.
Sharpener raised a brow, "And Videl, doesn't she want to join the game?"
"Oh no, she's playing her own game right now."
"Then why don't we join hers?"
Erasa's pale face suddenly turned red instead and she stopped in her tracks, giving Sharpener a knowing look, "Oh you wish!" Responding to the questioning look on his face, she added, "It's a game for two, Sharpie, you of all people should understand what I'm talking about."
Sharpener's face changed from a confused expression to a surprised one. "No way!" He couldn't believe his ears, "Who?!"
"Our - apparently not so innocent - missing friend," Erasa said as she walked on.
"What the -, are you kidding me?"
"Uh-uh."
"Really?!"
"Uh-huh!"
