Lilith stirred a few hours later. The sound of unfamiliar voices harsh in her ears. Blinking slowly, she opened her eyes, fighting the compulsion to drift back to sleep. The urge to slumber was soon forgotten as her surroundings came into focus. She was laying on her side, her cheek pressed into the icy floor. Lilith tried to stand, only to find her hands still bound behind her. Panic filled her as she recalled the last few hours, abducted by some strange man dressed in dark leather claiming to a be a god, dragged through a strange pool of standing liquid and then finding herself in an icy wilderness. There was no ignoring the fact that she was in trouble.
Twisting her head slightly she could see she was in large room. The cold floor was dark polished stone. Pitch black in colour and smooth against her skin, the walls a pale green and cast distorted reflections onto the floor.
Lilith was not alone. In fact, robed figures stood talking in small groups and seemed completely unaware of her presence. A couple of armoured guards stood at a tall archway, two more stood in front of a closed door, swords at their waists. Each rested a strange looking long bladed weapon on their shoulder. But one figure stood out. Taller than the rest, dressed in dark leather, green detailing marked his chest, his legs and arms. Leather boots encased his calf's and a long green cloak hung over his shoulders. The green material swished around his ankles as he moved. It didn't take long for her movements to be noticed, however. The roving eye of a guard spotted her. He Motioned to the figure in green who turned and eyed Lilith, a smirk formed at the corner of his mouth. He nodded and waved his minion away. She recognized him instantly, Loki. Lilith struggled to right herself, and instantly regretted it. her head throbbed and a sudden wave of nausea washed over her. Succumbing to the pain in her head Lilith groaned and lay still. Loki causally made his way to her, moving with slow leisurely steps. His heels clicking on the stone floor as he walked.
"Finally awake I see." Lilith did not respond, the last thing she wanted was to choke on her own vomit. "Feeling a little ill, are we?" Loki looked down at her with disdain. Lilith managed a small whimper in response.
"How cute." He sniggered. "Stand up,"
"I… I can't" she mumbled softly.
"Stand or ill make you." Lilith swallowed back the nausea and again tried to right herself, the effort alone causing jolts of fire to sear into her brain. Eventually Lilith pulled herself to her knees. Panting loudly and screwing her eyes tightly shut. she swayed slightly before sitting back on her legs. Loki tilted his head to one side watching her, before he could speak Lilith lost the battle with her stomach and vomited. "It would seam portal travel does not agree with you mortal."
"What are you going to do with me?" her voice was a whisper. Loki's cold eyes regarded her. "I could do many things." He hooked a finger under her chin. "Look at me," Lilith raised her eyes to his. "My you do not look well." He snapped his fingers and gestured to a minion, who nodded. She squinted against the bright lights, pain settled behind her eyes, and she inhaled sharply. "What ails you?" he asked.
"Head," she groaned. Already feeling the mother of migraines stabbing into her skull. Loki studied her face. "Doses the light bother you?"
"Yes..." she hissed in pain. Loki's minion chose this point to interrupt, handing Loki a bottle. Opening it he placed the bottle to her lips
"Water," he stated. Dropping to a crouch and balancing on the balls of his feet. "It will help the headache." Suddenly aware of how dry her mouth was she gratefully accepted the liquid.
"Please, somewhere dark." She murmured. Another wave of nausea already making itself felt. Loki studied her. She really did not look well. Her face pale, her eyes screwed shut. Sighing he snapped. "Fine!" standing, he scooped the woman up in arms.
"What are you ...doing?" Lilith winced. The movement causing a fresh spike of pain.
"Taking you somewhere dark." his response showed no emotion as he began walking, he held her tight to his Chest. He smelt clean and fresh now, almost minty, yet musky. His fingers vice like, wrapping around her shoulders and the back of her knees each step sent jarring shards of agony into her already fragile head. She closed her eyes tight, fighting back the nausea. It felt like he had been walking forever and she prayed for him to kill her, anything to stop the pain. In reality, Loki had only been walking for a few minutes before he stopped. Lilith heard a Door open, and then the refreshing sensation of cool air washed over her. "This should be more comfortable for you." Loki spoke as he started walking again. "This is my room. No one will dare disturb you without my order." His words barely registered as the cool darkness engulfed her.
Resisting the urge to dump her on his bed and walk away, Loki lay her down gently. "I'm untying you. In the case that you need to vomit again." He removed her shoes.
"Do not try to escape. Not that you're in any condition to try. There will be guards posted outside this room, so it will be a futile effort." He lifted the covers over her, laying them on her shoulders.
"Let me sleep." She moaned softly.
