Chapter 139

Once their family and friends had a chance to view their stunning master suit, Olivia and Natalia led the group back to the lobby where Mr. Milson was patiently waiting for them. He led them around the hotel, showing them every detail that had been done on their new property. From the meeting rooms to the offices, the lounge area, the game and fitness rooms, the pool, the dining room, ball room, and finally, the kitchen. He pointed out the ornate finishes that had been done in every room, as well as the walls and floors, making sure to give credit where it was due, whether it be his crew, the interior designer, or Josh Lewis. He didn't skip over a single detail as he led the group around. Ending the tour with one of the regular rooms before leading them back to the lounge where they would all be able to sit and chat.

To say Olivia was impressed would be a vast understatement. The hotel had been completely transformed and she was floored with how amazing of a job had been done. She couldn't thank Mr. Milson enough and she knew she owed Josh far more than a thank you. She would find a way to show the man her appreciation, of that she had no doubt. She would also make certain Mr. Milson and his team received a large bonus once they completed the few minor things still left to finish. Not only was the hotel beyond what she had imagined, it was done ahead of schedule, removing yet another item from her families long to do list.

"Josh said you were good, but I had no idea you were this good. The hotel looks astonishing, and to be done ahead of schedule, I must say Mr. Milson, I am impressed."

"Thank you Mrs. Spencer-Rivera, and it's Tom. I think we know each other well enough now."

"Very well then Tom. Olivia and Natalia." She stated pointing to herself and her wife in turn. "When do you suspect you'll be finished with the painting and lighting you have left to finish?"

"I believe myself and a few or my men can have that completed tomorrow, and Karen, the interior designer, said she can finish up tomorrow as well, then the place will be all yours."

"Do you usually work on Saturdays?"

"No. On a job this big and this close I would have usually had a few of the guys stay late this evening and finish up, however, since you and your family were due in, I decided to send them home and asked a few of them to return tomorrow to finish the final details."

"Well, I appreciate that, but it truly wasn't necessary. We are more then used to living around construction at this point in our lives."

"I'll remember that for next time. I know your family has been through a lot, I heard about the trial, and I would like to offer you my deepest apologies. If there is anything you need while you're here, just let me know and I'll do what I can to help."

"Thank you Tom. We appreciate that. I'm sorry we haven't been in much contact, there has been a lot going on back home."

"It's not a problem at all. Josh did a wonderful job of conveying your wishes, as well as what contact we did have via phone and email. I hope we gave you everything you were hoping for."

"Oh, you did, and more. Thank you." Natalia piped up. "It's more than I thought it would be after our first tour of the place. I do wish we had been able to watch the progress more, however the end result is amazing none the less."

"Thank you Natalia. I'm glad we delivered exactly what you were wanting."

"You have, and I'll be sure to pass your information along to anyone I know needing construction in the area, and we will most definitely be contacting you in the future should the need arise." Olivia said, sincerely impressed by the man's work.

"Thank you. I would appreciate that. Now, if you have no further questions, I'll leave you to your evening and I'll be back in the morning with a small crew around seven. Most of our work is on the main floor and basement, so we shouldn't disturb you."

"Thank you. I'm sure we'll see you tomorrow then. Have a good evening."

"You as well, and to the rest of the family." He waved at everyone and then took his leave through the side door.

"The hotel really is stunning Olivia." Doris said, smiling at her friends. "All of your hotels are, however, this one takes the cake I think."

"I would have to agree." Olivia stated. "Josh did a great job, not only in recommending Milson construction, but in conveying exactly what Natalia and I were looking for. This property definitely raises the bar for SRHR."

"SRHR?" Clara asked.

"Spencer-Rivera Hotels and Resorts. It's the name of our company. All of the hotels are the Beacon, but the company name, for not only are hotels but also other investments and shares, is Spencer-Rivera Hotels and Resorts." Olivia answered."

"Ahh. I see. I must say, this hotel truly is beautiful. I haven't seen your Chicago hotel, but this one is very nice, just as the one in Springfield is."

"Thank you. We are very proud of our business thus far, and we hold a very high standard."

"I can see that. And I'm so proud of you mija. You have made an amazing life for yourself and your family." Clara added, turning to her eldest daughter with a smile.

"Thank you mama. Olivia and I are very fortunate." She smiled at her wife, nothing but love and gratitude shining in her eyes. "Now, I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm starved."

"Me too mama. Can we go eat now?" Emma asked. Always ready for food.

"Yes sweetie, we can go eat now. Does anyone need anything from their rooms before we head out?"

Every shook their heads no and they headed for the door, Olivia and Natalia already having a restaurant in walking distance in mind for their dinner. After a nice dinner with the entire family, every one retired to their separate rooms for the night. Ashley and Isabel already chatting a mile a minute about everything they wanted to check out the following day in preparation for the opening and Ava and Rafe going on and on about how good the hotel looked and how it was definitely ready to start staffing and training.

Olivia and Natalia shook their heads at the four as they kissed their two eldest and bid them goodnight before doing the same with Blake and Doris and heading up to the penthouse with Emma and Clara.

Clara had deemed herself tired and just wanting a shower after the flight before heading to bed. Olivia and Natalia wished her well and took Emma into her room to get her ready for bed and read her a story. The three piling onto her bed. Olivia made it through one chapter of Junie Bee before Emma was out like a light. The two women kissed their daughters head before joining hands and heading to their own room, more than happy for a little alone time in front of their fire place.

Blake and Doris had both showered and then met back in the main sitting room. Although there was a sense of tension in the air, they easily made their way next to each other on the comfortable couch. Some movie or another was playing on the television but serving as nothing more than back ground noise as both women's minds were preoccupied with thoughts of the other.

Doris was more than interested in seeing where things could go with Blake. The two enjoyed each other's company and had spent many a lunch a break together. She knew Blake was interested in her, the problem was, she had been burned by more than one straight woman testing the waters and she just didn't want to put herself through that again. Especially with how strongly she felt for the red head sitting next to her. She wanted to find love, find the happiness she sees between Olivia and Natalia for herself, but fear and self-preservation were making it very difficult for her to make that leap.

Blake had other reasons for being hesitant. Mainly, her lack of experiencing in dealing with the fairer sex in any sort of romantic relationship, let alone intimately. She feared she wouldn't be enough for the esteemed mayor who had plenty of experience, at least when it came to sex with woman. She couldn't speak to her dating experience, but she had heard plenty of rumors about the mayors more than abundant one-night stands with women.

She knew she had feelings for Doris, very strong ones in fact. Butterflies fluttered in her stomach every time the woman walked into the room, and her heartbeat like a bass drum, and her pulse quickened just thinking about the woman. But more than her lack of experience, she didn't want to be just another notch in the mayor's bed post. She wanted something more with her, but after losing Ross, could she really put her heart back on the line, especially with a woman well known for sleeping with women and never calling again. Except for Jamanda, that was all Blake had heard as far as Doris's dating life, and she just didn't know if she could take such a risk with her battered and bruised heart.

Doris was the first to break the silence that had stretched out for far too long between them. "Do you want something to drink? I packed a few bottles of wine."

Blake shook herself from her thoughts and smiled at the blue-eyed beauty in front of her. "Wine sounds lovely. Thank you Doris."

Doris stood and grabbed a couple of glasses from the kitchen before fetching a bottle of white wine from her suitcase. After pouring them each a glass, she sat back down, a little closer to Blake then she'd been before, their thighs now pressed together. "This is nice. Being able to talk somewhere other than Company on lunch breaks I mean."

"Yes. It is nice." After another few moments of silence, Blake decided to be the brave one and enter into the territory they both seemed to be avoiding. "Can I ask you a question?"

Doris was a little hesitant, having a pretty good idea of where this conversation was headed. "Um, yeah, of course."

"Why did you decide to come on this trip instead of spending the weekend together like we planned? I mean, I know we haven't really talked about anything with us, but, I thought we were on the same page, I thought we wanted to see where this thing between us could go."

Doris let out a breath and looked down into her wine. Knowing this conversation was coming, and actually having it were two very different things. "I don't know, I guess, maybe I'm a little worried." She answered without looking up from her glass.

"Okay. Would it help to know that I'm a little scared as well."

Doris finally looked up from her glass to meet Blake's eyes and let out a nervous chuckle. "Yeah, actually it does."

Blake gave a giggle to match the mayors. "Well, what are you worried about? Maybe if we talk about it, it will help ease your worries."

Doris looked away again. "I guess…" She huffed, annoyed that she couldn't just say what was on her mind. "I guess I'm a little worried that you don't really want to do this, or that you won't want to."

"Do what exactly?"

"This, you and me, being, being more then friends."

Blake reached over and took her hand, trying to be the brave one. "Oh Doris, I do, I do want to do this with you. I want to see where this thing could go. I know I have feelings for you, feelings of more than friendship, and I'm pretty sure you do too."

"I do. But Blake, come on, you've never been with a woman before. Why the sudden interest?"

Blake gripped the hand in hers a little tighter, enjoying the softness compared to the roughness she was used to with men. "You're right, I haven't ever been with a woman before, but I'm not opposed to the idea. I guess I just see you as a person, a person I would like to get to know better, no matter what your sex."

"Then what are you scared of? You said you had fears too."

"I do. I'm scared of a lot of things. Mainly I'm scared of getting hurt. I've dated since Ross, you know that, but I haven't put my heart on the line. I haven't…" She dropped Doris hand and threw both of hers in the air. "I haven't felt like this, like I want to get my heart involved since Ross, but with you, I do. And I don't think I could stop if I tried. I feel something with you Doris, something I haven't felt in a very long time, something I didn't think I would ever feel again. And as scary as that is, I want to take the risk and explore this with you. If you're willing to take the chance on me, then so am I."

"I want to Blake. Believe me I want to, but I've been down this road before." Doris grumbled, standing, and beginning to pace. "I've been with woman who think they want to try being gay, and you know what happens, they don't. They think they do; they think they can handle it, but they can't. It's either the sex, or the fear of what the public will think, or whatever. Every time I get involved with a straight woman past a one-night stand, I get hurt. I don't think I can handle that again. And I want more than a roll in the sheets with you. If that's all I wanted then we would have stayed home this weekend. I would have had you over and gotten you drunk, slept with you and then sent you on your way and avoided going to Company for a few weeks. But I want more then that with you. I haven't actually dated anyone except Jamanda since college, and this is why, because dating leads to heart break and I have way too much on my plate right now for that."

Blake stood and stepped in front of the pacing woman, placing both of her hands on Doris's biceps to keep her in place. "I want more then that too Doris. I want a relationship with you. I know we've just really started being friends, but I feel something for you Doris. I feel very strongly for you. I can tell there is a connection between us, and I'm not willing to walk away from that. I don't care what anyone thinks of me, believe me, Springfield has more than enough negative things to say about me. And if Olivia and Natalia's relationship says anything about how the public will react, then we have nothing to worry about. Doris, I want more than a one-night stand, but that's one of the things I'm afraid of. I've heard your reputation, but I'm willing to try. I'm willing to risk getting hurt again, because if there's one thing I've learned in this life, it's that it's too short. Life can be taken from us in a second, and I don't want to die never knowing love again. So, what about you. Are you willing to try?"

Doris didn't know exactly what to say, she wanted to say yes, to throw caution to the wind and just jump in with both feet. Taking a deep breath, she thought back to one of her many conversations with Olivia. She thought about how she had seen the love between her and Natalia, and even before they were friends, she didn't want Olivia to throw that away, so, with fear, but also hope in her heart, she took the leap, grabbing Blake's face in both hands and crashing their lips together.

Blake had been surprised by the move, but after a second, she got her bearings and kissed back with all that she had. Moving one hand into Doris's hair while the other moved to rest on her lower back. Doris had both hands on Blake's hips and pulled her in tighter, relishing the feeling on her in her arms, pressed solidly against her body. In a moment of boldness, she allowed her tongue to seek entrance into the warmth of Blake's mouth and was excepted immediately. This was so much different than their make out session before going to the airport, because this was the beginning of a relationship, not just some heated kissing in Blake's doorway. This was two women taking a leap of faith into each other's arms and hoping they would catch one another.

Without breaking the kiss, the two moved back to the couch, Doris sitting and pulling Blake into her lap. Neither woman was willing to go beyond kissing just yet, both knowing they still needed to talk about a few things, but they could enjoy this for a little while first. They could let the world fall away and just get lost in one another for a little while. Both women's hearts growing lighter with every passing second, every gasp and moan, every swipe of a tongue. They both knew that their relationship had just taken a drastic turn, and they couldn't be more happy about it, as hands wandered and tongues dueled.

Olivia and Natalia were cuddled up in bed with a small fire blazing, warming them both from the slight chill in the air. Olivia had her arms wrapped firmly around her wife while Natalia rested against her chest. Both women content to just be with one another. Olivia kissed her wife's head and rubbed her back. Wanting nothing more than to stay like this forever. With the woman she loved lying in her arms and their children tucked safely into their beds, or at least Emma was, she was sure Rafe and Ava were still up talking with Ashley and Isabel.

Natalia nuzzled into her wife's chest a little further, dropping a kiss onto her clavicle. "Mmm. This is nice. I love just laying here with you."

Olivia tightened her arms and kissed the top of Natalia's head. "I agree."

The two lay in silence for a few minutes more before Natalia broke it with a question that had been eating at her. Pulling back slightly, she looked up into her wife's beautiful green eyes. "Have you noticed that Emma has been calling me mama since papa came to the hotel?"

Olivia hadn't really thought about it, but now that she was, she had noticed that Emma had switched from ma to mama. It had happened a few times before, after a nightmare, or when she wasn't feeling well, but usually by the following morning she had switched back to ma. "Yeah, she was really shaken up by his visit. Does it bother you?"

"No." Natalia said shaking her head. "Not at all. I kind of like it actually. Rafe quit calling me mama when he was about six, it's kind of nice to have someone call me that again, I just, I guess I'm worried that it's a sign of her going backward. After everything with Frank, she was finally getting back to her old self, then papa showed up, and now, I guess I just don't want her to feel unsafe anymore. Does that make any sense?"

"Yeah, I get it. She had started to call me mom more too. I was sad to think I wasn't her mommy anymore, but at the same time, I know she's growing up, and I thought that maybe making the transition from mommy to mom was a sign that she was getting over everything with Frank. So, I understand what you're saying about thinking she's going backward by calling you mama, because she hasn't called me mom even once since your dad came."

"Do you think we should talk to her about it?"

"No. I think we should just see how things go for a few days. She did manage to stay with Beth, even if she had to call Doris in the middle of the night, she stayed there the whole night, that's the first time since Frank. If we think it's becoming a problem, or see any other signs that's she's regressing, we'll talk to Felicia about it."

"Okay. You're right. She is doing better about sleeping without Doris. Like tonight, other than calling down to her room to say goodnight, she didn't ask for anyone to sleep with her, that's a good sign."

"It is. They are all getting better. We haven't had the older two in our room in several days either."

"I know. They still seem to need to be with each other at the very least, but at least they aren't on our floor or in our bed every night. As much as I'm going to miss having all of our babies with us every morning, I know it's a good thing that they are moving forward, letting go of their fears of losing one of us."

"I know what you mean. I liked them all piling in with us, but, I also like having some alone time with you. It's nice to wake up with just you again. It seems like forever since I got to wake up with you in my arms instead of having two to three bodies between us."

Natalia snuggled into her once more. "I agree, it is very nice to wake up in your arms again. I've missed you."

Olivia bent down and claimed her lips in a quick but passionate kiss. "Mmm. I've missed you too." She said breaking apart, only to seal their lips back together as she adjusted them so they were laying face to face on their sides. Deepening the kiss, one hand landed on Natalia's hip and squeezed.

Natalia got the hint, tossing her leg over Olivia's hip, bringing them closer together as her tongue darted into her wife's mouth, tasting every inch. Natalia moaned as Olivia kissed her back. Their tongues massaging together. Olivia's hand slipped around to Natalia's firm ass cheek, squeezing it as her mouth moved down from her lips to her jaw and neck.

Natalia threw her head back, giving Olivia more access, as she clutched at her shoulders, soft moans falling from her lips. Olivia kissed and sucked at her throat and pulse point while kneading the soft globes in her hand. Gently, she rolled her love to her back, the assault on her neck moving further south to her clavicle.

Just as Olivia's hand moved from her wife's backside to the hem of her shirt, Natalia seemed to come to her senses, placing a hand on top of Olivia's, halting her from removing her shirt. "Olivia, we can't." Olivia pulled back and looked down at her wife for a second, trying to figure why in the world she was being stopped. As if reading her mind, Natalia supplied the answer. "Mama…" Was all that needed to be said for understanding to dawn on Olivia's face. Oh, that. She thought.

Olivia grunted as her forehead landed on Natalia's chest. "But…"

Natalia chuckled as she ran a hand threw Olivia's hair. "I know baby, me too." She kissed the top of her head, biting her cheek to keep from laughing when Olivia began to actually whine like a two-year-old not getting her way. "It's only a couple of days."

Olivia leaned up on her arms and looked down at the gorgeous woman beneath her. Her eyes sweeping over her form. "Only a couple of days, have you seen you honey, a couple of days not touching you is utter torture. Pfft, only a couple of days."

Natalia did chuckle at that. Olivia's childish antics was one of the many things she loved about her and when she was in a playful mood, she could make Natalia laugh without even trying. Cupping Olivia's face in her hands, she leaned up for a gentle kiss. "I can assure you I am not trying to torture you my love."

"Could have fooled me. Only a couple of days…" She repeated again with a pout.

Natalia giggled again. Fully enjoying how utterly put out her wife was acting, especially since she knew Olivia was only half joking, she really did find her that desirable, and a couple of days really did seem like torture. "Honey, I want to as bad as you do, but, my mother is way too close for comfort and we are far from quiet."

Olivia seemed to perk up a little at that. "I can be quiet, I can be quiet real good." She bent and bit at Natalia's neck, purposely suppressing a moan with a big inhale through her nose to make her point.

Natalia however was unsuccessful at holding back a whimper of pleasure. "Maybe you can… but I certainly can't." She stated breathily.

Ignoring her, Olivia ran her tongue along her neck and back to her ear, biting down gently on the lobe. "I can think of a way to assist with that." She said suggestively, licking the shell of her ear as her leg pressed into the apex between Natalia's thighs, making her buck and gasp.

"Olivia…" She moaned. "Baby…" She protested weakly, pushing gently against Olivia's shoulders. "We, ca..can't." She stuttered as a tongue licked her pulse point before biting down gently.

Olivia huffed but relented, knowing she was correct. Her mother-in-law hearing her ravage her wife could be a step too far after only knowing each other a little over a week. Not to mention, she didn't want to scar the woman with how loud Natalia tended to be in the throes of passion. She may have let the thought of gagging her wife with one of her scarfs cross her mind, but she definitely wasn't going to do that for the first time with her daughter and mother-in-law in the same hotel room, no, she would save that for another day.

"Alright. Fine." She kissed her sweetly, letting her know that she wasn't really upset, just incredibly turned on and wishing they were actually alone. "I'm sorry sweetheart, I know we can't and I shouldn't have pushed."

Natalia kissed her love deeply. Wanting her to know that she had no qualms with Olivia wanting her, she just didn't want her mother to hear them. "Never apologize for wanting me honey, I want you too, it's just…" she trailed off, not knowing what more she could say.

"I know. It's okay baby, you'll just have to make it up to me when we get home." Olivia smiled out, wiggling her eyebrows.

"I can't wait." Natalia smiled back, pulling her wife in for one more kiss. This kiss, although still simmering with passion, was meant to calm and sooth, before cuddling up together and letting sleep claim them.
