Waking up was one of the most nerve racking moments of her life. When she regained consciousness, she thought that she would feel pain from her entire body, but she didn't. She then realized that she was staring at a roof.

She immediately began to panic, as she didn't know where she was. She tried to move, but found that she was being held down my straps.

She struggled as hard as she could against the restraints and was about to scream when the door opened.

A man with short grey hair, silver eyes and wrinkled skin with a hardened look on his face stepped into the room.

He noticed she was awake and his face immediately softened. He spoke to her in a soft voice, "Oh, you're awake. Try not to struggle, the straps are there to stop you from hurting yourself."

He noticed that she was trying to form words, but her voice was hoarse, and all that came out were strangled sounds and coughing.

"Don't strain yourself, I'll go and get you some water and then we can talk."

He was back a moment later with a cup of water.

After she finished drinking the water that was most graciously poured down her throat by the man, her voice had returned enough to make out simple sentences.

"Who... a-are y-you."

"My name is Alden; I am an herbalist charged by the king to research the deeper parts of the Faron Woods. Now that I have told you about myself, could you tell me about yourself?"

"M-my name is -cough- Marianna, a-and I was h-hunting for... food, but I-I went to d-deep a-and..." at this point Marianna burst into tears.

"Oh, I guess that explains the injuries. By the way, you have been asleep for four days. I was starting to think that you wouldn't wake up."

A look of shock quickly overcame the tears in her years. "F-FO-cough-" Marianna burst into the worst fit of coughing yet. After she calmed down she realized the implications of those words, she had been in the woods for four days and her father had no idea where she was. He must be worried sick.

It was at this point that he began undoing Marianna's restraints. when he was finished, he sat her up as gently as possible so as to not aggravate the wounds she had.

"If you need anything, then call for me. I'll be just behind the door." Alden began to make his way to the door.

"W-wait!" Alden turned around to see the girl reaching out to him, she then pulled back quickly as a shot of pain flashed through her face. "D-don't-t lea-leave me."

"Alright, I won't leave just yet." he replied with a smile and pulled a chair up to the bedside.

Link awoke to the sight of the stars shining down upon him with an ethereal light. He felt his head throb with pain as he tried to sit up. When he finally succeeded, he was met with the sight of upturned earth everywhere he looked. Trees had fallen, training posts were splintered, it seemed as if the king of destruction had descended to the world and forced it into upheaval.

Link quickly realized that he could not see his Master anywhere. He tried to stand up, but stood too quickly and fell back down, doubling over in pain.

After he regained his senses, he got up again, more slowly this time, and began searching the destroyed ground for his master.

After searching for a few minutes, he came upon the body of his master.

It was oddly peaceful. It almost calmed Link down as he stared at the dead body of his master stabbed through the heart with a tree branch. His teacher. The person who broke him out of his absolute hate for the world.

—flashback open—

It was a peaceful day in Ordon village, the sun was shining, the grass was green, and some kids were beating up a 10 year old Link in the middle of the woods. More precisely, they were beating on Link about 100 feet off of the path to the shrine to Hylia.

Link was crying for help, but every time he did he would receive a smack to the face by the largest boy.

There were six boys surrounding Link, all of them at least two years older and the oldest being five years above Link's age.

A twig snapping nearby alerted the perpetrators that someone was coming, so they ran away from the sound and doubled back when they thought it was safe.

What was waiting for them was a smack to the face and the new weapons master and his assistant, Rusl. Killian had only recently arrived in Ordon village, and Rusl was one of the first people to accept Killian. He also became the deputy weapons master and was in charge of expeditions into the wilderness around Ordon.

The king had recently announced that he would send a weapons master to each town that had active monster areas near it. Ordon village was one of three villages. As such, people were not too happy to uhave someone taking their protector's position, especially if they were one of only a few villages, and most believed that the King was trying to seize power from the villages.

After he arrived, Killian got to know each family in Ordon village and kept an especially sharp eye on Link, as he saw something in the boy that he could not quite make out.

After the incident, the boys were severely reprimanded by their parents and the threatening aura of the weapons master. They promised to never do it again.

It didn't ever happen again

...

For a day.

The next day, Link got to his house covered in bruises and cuts, and after he closed the door, he broke down and cried for hours.

After that, the tormenting continued and eventually got worse.

After a year, Link swore to himself that he would never forgive them and that he would kill them in the near future, so he started training.

—time skip 2 years—

The tormentors were going by their usual routine: yell things like family slaughtered and other derogatory terms at Link whilst beating him, bring out a knife and start cutting him, they gave him all of the scars on his body with that knife, and Link held a certain grudge with the sixteen year old. At the end of their torment sessions, they would leave him in some random place and hope that he doesn't return.

They didn't want to directly kill him because they were still kids, they were weak willed like that.

The reason they beat on Link was that their parents would always see him in the streets and avoid him. They taught their children to stay away from him, and they shared rumors with their children that the child murdered his family, as Link had walked into the villainess covered in blood that wasn't his own at the age of six and promptly collapsed. Other reasoning being that rumors were circling around that Link had murdered another family that had left the village and hadn't returned, and in that time span, Link was not seen in the village.

Both of these rumors are wrong of course. Link's family was murdered right in front of him by a monster that seemed to want to watch the despair on Link's face as he desperately tried to avenge his parents by killing the monster with his weak body. The monster soon decided that link grew boring, and left. Leaving Link wondering why the monster didn't kill him too.

When the children had finished their attack on Link, they brought out the knife.

They were having a good day, life was going well, Link was being submissive as ever, and their remaining stress was relieved when they beat Link.

As the knife neared Link's face, Link quickly grabbed the handle of the knife, and by extension, the hand of the sixteen year old holding the knife. Link began to tighten his grip, and soon, the boy began to scream as his hand was being crushed.

The Other boys were frozen in shock. The oldest was the first to move, he attempted to pull Link down from behind, but he just made the sixteen year old drop the knife and get a face full of dirt.

Link quickly grabbed the knife and turned around.

The oldest ran at Link, anger in his eyes. He swung with a right hook, but Link just ducked under it an stabbed the older boy in the gut and quickly removed the knife. The oldest boy fell to the ground and started screaming in pain.

The next oldest boy collapsed and began having a panic attack, the other sixteen year old fell to the ground praying to Hylia to save him, the youngest ran away crying, the second youngest began vomiting, and the one with the broken hand was trembling in fear.

Link began approaching the sixteen year old that had held the knife with slow steps and a menacing look on his face. This was the one who gave him his scars. All of his rage went into a stab aimed at the sixteen year olds heart.

Then everything stopped.

There was no sound. Nothing moved, but everything was aware.

A sudden gust of wind pushed through the silent world as a crossbow bolt wrenched the knife from Link's grip and broke it in half.

Suddenly, everything returned back to normal and Killian and Rusl burst through the foliage.

Killian immediately moved to Link and grabbed him firmly by the forearm, leading him away from the scene.

"Take care of the rest of the kids Rusl, I have some business to attend to with Link here."

Rusl replied with a sharp nod and immediately got to work gathering the boys and assessing their injuries.

Killian led Link to the Mayor's house. There he explained what Link had done, but instead of the reaction Link was expecting, the Mayor laughed and said it was about time it happened.

After that day, people didn't seem to look at Link with discontent anymore, more with open fear and anger, but Link swore that he would change their hearts and make them see him as a human.

—flashback end—

A tear fell from Link's eye as he remembered the kindness of his master. He sees the sword that his master loved so much, and picked it up. Link had never once seen what the blade looked like, so he tried to unsheathe it. His attempt was met with burning pain, as he quickly dropped the sword. Acting more cautiously, Link picked up the sword again. This time, instead of unsheathing the sword, Link fastened the sword to his belt and decided to head back to the village.

Link then realized something, no one in the village had come to the clearing to see if they were alright. Also, he couldn't see the tower that stood in the center of the town. Link became frantic as he rushed through the trees, hoping that his mind was just tricking him.

When he reached the village, he fell to his knees, and began to cry.

"Make way for the Princess!"

As a bustling city built out of stone bricks was seeing the first light of dawn, Princess Zelda was making her way to the castle in a carriage plated almost exclusively with gold.

She had long blonde hair that reached the middle of her back, blue eyes and peach colored skin. She is wearing a gold dress with a white shawl wrapped around her shoulders. Surrounding the carriage are eight knights in full armor, bearing the crest of the royal family: the the Mark of the Goddess Hylia, on their shields.

Princess Zelda was at the Northeastern outpost, on the outskirts of the Goron domain, checking in with the chief of the Goron Tribe. She was immediately recalled to the castle when Death Mountain began its eruptions.

The massive column of ash and the balls of lava raining down on the terrain were only some of the reasons.

She was halfway to Castle Town when she received news that the King wanted to speak to her as soon as possible, so she rushed the rest of the way back.

After navigating the busy streets for the better half of an hour, the Princess and her Entourage finally made it to the castle. There, she was immediately called into her father's chambers where he broke some horrifying news to her.

Death Mountain's eruption was so serious, that a lava river was forming, and it was currently moving towards the Northeaster outpost. The most troubling news, however, was that creatures of magma and rock, golems she guessed, were climbing out of the lava river, and they were gathering in a massive hoard, ready to strike an anything it so desires.

Word from the Gorons was not good. They were attempting to calm Death Mountain, but it wouldn't listen. Like it was ignoring the pleas of the rest of the world in order to carry out some petty revenge.

After the meeting concluded, Princess Zelda immediately went to the Knights training ground on her Father's orders, and set up a patrol ten miles outside the castle walls, so that nothing could sneak up on them, human or not.

Link crawled through the ruins of his village, not trusting his legs to let him stand. The first corpse that he found was Rusl, he had been decapitated, and was bleeding from numerous cuts around his body. Link was sobbing so hard that he blacked out.

When Link came to his senses again, he was covered in blood and clutching Rusl's head. He slowly looked up, and noticed that there were bokoblin corpses scattered around Rusl's body. In a fit of rage, Link kicked one of the Bokoblins' head so hard that it ripped the head from the neck and sent it rolling away.

"I swear that I will hunt down every last creature that was involved in this attack. And when I do find them..." A wicked smile formed itself on Link's lips, "death will be the last thing they need to worry about"

Chapter two is done.
A few things: One, currently, the times for the three perspectives are not synced with each other. Two, again, I don't care if you don't like it, but if you don't, don't read it.
Thanks for reading, the next chapter should be out in a couple of days.
