SUMMARY: It has been a very, very long time since Sora defeated Master Xehanort and disappeared from everybody's sight. However, there is someone who knows exactly where did he go. This guy is Roxas, Sora's nobody. And he's gonna embark into a medieval adventure to go find his friend.
CHAPTER 1 – ROXAS'S JOURNEY BEGINS.
It's been very long time since Sora defeated Master Xehanort and ended the long keyblade war between light and darkness.
Everybody had fun at their victory party at Destiny Islands, but, Sora had… apparently paid the price of using the most dangerous to search and find Kairi. She was saved yeah, but he lost himself and disappeared from the sight from everybody else.
So Riku, Aqua, Terra and Ventus went to try to find him at a very difficult and tedious task between every world they visited. And this would take forever if not for a certain man who could see and feel Sora's presence…
This man is Roxas… Sora's nobody.
This is his story.

TWILIGHT TOWN – DAYTIME.
Living a normal life after Master Xehanort's defeat, Roxas had been doing ordinary stuff with his friends Hayner, Olette, Pence, Axel, Xion and Isa, like going to school, delivering newspapers everywhere and most importantly, eating this sea salt ice popsicle at the top of the Twilight Town's tower.
It wasn't until four weeks later when Roxas noticed something dark and creepy beneath Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd's facade, the future king of Faerghus. As Sora's nobody, he could tell that something was wrong with him due to seeing everything through Sora's eyes. Even if the two were apart, they had a strong bond between each other.
Not only that, Roxas had also noticed Rhea's questionable, but also disturbing personality as an authoritarian archbishop when she threatened anybody who questioned the Church of Seiros's system. It wasn't that he was against anybody's religion, he respected that, but a zealous system like Seiro's messing people's lives? That would be off-limits in a today's society.
This was the sole motive that Roxas began to settle things up to head to Fodlan as soon as possible to find and help Sora overcome the upcoming cataclysm that would soon storm that world thanks to Young Xehanort and his henchmen.
Roxas put on his iconic black gloves, shoes and coat to set up his journey to the said world hiding his identity, but not before bidding farewell to his friends.
"Are you sure Roxas?" Xion was aware of that dangerous act her friend was about to commit. "The power of waking is a risky move and it randomly deploys you anywhere, to get to Fodlan is a matter of luck!"
"I know, Xion. But I just can't stand still without doing nothing. Xehanort is back and he's willing to cover Fodlan in darkness, what if Sora is knocked down and gets pulled in a long slumber? Somebody has to repel Xehanort and those… creepy creatures slithering in the dark's actions." Roxas expressed a lot of concern on his voice regarding Sora's wellbeing. "He has done a lot of us… and now it's my turn to return him a big favor."
"You're right. If it wasn't for Sora, we wouldn't have been able to remember you as of now, man." Hayner understood his friend's words.
"Yeah, it is thanks to him that we're back and remember Roxas." Xion acknowledged Sora's past actions. "So, you want to return the favor to Sora, is it right? I remember that King Mickey said that he had a ship which can travel to any world but it requires a pit stop to refill its gas, you should talk to him."
"I see… how I could forget about it at the first place." Roxas said as he put out his gummiphone to try to contact the king. "I hope he picks up the phone."
Roxas waited for a few minutes until…
"Hello?" Mickey finally picked up the phone while looking at the screen. "Roxas? Is that you?" How have you been?"
"Fine, your majesty. How about you?" he replied nicely.
"Me too, what is it?"
"Well… you see… I've been thinking of heading to Fodlan and Xion told me that you keep a ship that can travel to any world without any trouble, so… I know this is going to sound weird but…"
"I see… I knew this was going to happen sooner or later… yes, I do keep the ship… for emergency only." Mickey knew where Roxas was getting into. "Do you want to use it, right?"
"Y-Yes, I do, King Mickey. I have a bad feeling about this and I think Sora's gonna be in trouble if I don't get there as soon as possible. Young Xehanort is back, and what I saw through my friend's eyes terrified me. So please, your majesty, it's a matter of live or death." Roxas begged the king to let him use the ship out of concern about Sora's life. He really had to go there, to protect Sora.
"If what you say is true, then I don't have a choice but to let you use my ship, but I must tell that there's only one seat inside so… Do you still want to go in?" Mickey warned him of setting up his journey alone.
Roxas thought about it for a few seconds… if he went ahead, then he would have to leave his friends behind and set out his adventure on his own. But as he had gone through every hard moment by himself, just like Sora did.
"Roxas, I'm pretty sure you're gonna be fine." Axel cheered him up to start his adventure in that medieval world. "When you reunite with Sora, give him my regards."
"We'll be waiting for your return." Olette did the same.
"We promise that we'll reunite together, Roxas." Xion gave him a tender hug, just like the others did.
"Guys, I'll miss you so much." Roxas said while crying together, but having his head up and his face written in determination.
"We will too, Roxas. Promise me that you will stay safe." Xion was bidding his farewell asking him to have a safe journey.
"I will, Xion. Axel, tell everyone I left for Fodlan." Roxas agreed and asked him to share the news with everyone.
"Will do, dude." He shook his hands with Roxas's and hugged each other. "If you ever meet a cute girl, you could introduce her to me." Axel said jokingly, only to feel a light punch on his stomach. "Xion! I was just kidding!"
"Thank you, guys, see you." Roxas bid his farewell as he headed out to Disney Castle.
With that, Roxas walked away from his friends and left Twilight town to meet with Mickey to have his ship and travel to Fodlan.
Each and everybody started to wait for his return, even though this would take much longer that they thought.

DISNEY CASTLE – HANGAR
Roxas headed to Disney Castle to meet with King Mickey, who was waiting for him to arrive.
"Welcome, Roxas." He greeted him standing still with the said ship behind him. "Are you ready to face dangerous situations?"
"I am, your majesty." Roxas understood the biggest he would have to face from now on.
"Very well, Roxas… Chip and Dale optimized the ship so you can travel to Fodlan without any problem, I'll just give you a little advice." King Mickey gave him the green light to use his ship, but not before telling him something else. "In order to head there, you are going to stay in any world you want to settle in so the ship will take its time to recharge the gas and then you will resume your travel. Which means you're gonna struggle a lot and deal with many issues you encounter."
"If it is for Sora, the I'm more than ready to face such troubles." Roxas knew where he was getting into. He had to spend some time in a world to have the ship refilled enough gas, but then, he would jump himself to the amidst of a medieval war. However, thanks to his keyblade powers, he's been capable defending himself and the others, so it wouldn't be a big deal for him to handle such situation.
"I like that attitude, my friend." King Mickey showed the stairs to the ship. "Once you close the cockpit, your journey begins… Good luck."
"Thank you, your majesty. I'll be heading off." Roxas said good bye after walking upstairs to get inside the ship.
"See you later, Roxas. When you get to Fodlan, give my regards to Sora." Mickey replied bidding him farewell watching him go.

Roxas got in the ship and turned the engine on to begin his adventure to head to Fodlan, while driving, Roxas noticed a kind of music player in front of his eyes, to think that the King Mickey loved to listen to music.
Full of curiosity, Roxas browsed the player only to find a particular song that attracted his attention.
"Maybe this will sooth it up." He said as he pushed the Play button before closing his eyes to take a nap…

UNKNOWN LOCATION – GRAVEYARD – 2nd of Avistym, year 401. Valentian Calendar.
After traveling for a long time, Roxas finally landed in a medieval world which, as he had expected, was not Fodlan but anywhere else alike.
He landed in a place where it appeared to be a graveyard in a cloudy and horrific environment.
"Looks spooky as Jack Skellington's world, but this place is quite frightening…" Roxas said as he was scanning the whole area putting out his two keyblades and putting his black hood on to hide his identity from anybody.
And then, he saw few people walking around the graveyard from afar, but suddenly, few skeleton monsters emerged from the ground, those were horror-looking unlike the heartless, nobodies and the unversed.
To make things worse, those people began their struggle for their lives, and he knew very well that he had to do what he knows best…
"I gotta aid those guys!" Roxas said as he entered in dark mode and went lightspeed to deal with those creepy creatures as he made his way to these people.

At another side of the graveyard three people were wandering around that place in order to leave Priory. They had to overcome this big difficulty if they wanted to keep pushing forward.
"Milady, this graveyard we're passing through… Er, why are we here, again?" a guy with white hair, Boey, looked visibly creeped out due to the graveyard's atmosphere.
"Because it's the only way to port." The girl with red hair, Celica, explained the reason of going through this zone.
"Yes, but there's been talk of Terrors around here as of late…" Boey voiced his concerns about that subject.
"So there has." Celica affirmed his concerns. "Best keep our wits about us them, hmm?"
"But milady, I…" he bow his head down feeling blue. "I'll face down thieves or rogues any day, but Terrors? Terrors are… different."
"Oh, Boey." Said a pink-haired girl, Mae in a mocking voice, much to his annoyance. "How can you be so scared of spooks and spirits at your age?"
"Cut it off, would you?!" Boey expressed annoyance upon hearing her mock him. "A man can't help what gives him fright!"
This only made Celica chuckle lightly.
"Oh, not you too, milady? You wound me…" Boey said out of pity.
"I'm sorry, Boey. I was just remembering my brother." Celica apologized.
"Brother? I didn't know you had one." Boey replied in surprise.
"Yes, though by different mothers." Celica mentioned him remembering his brother. "He was a sweet thing, but meek. Frightened to death of ghosts. Then he became one, alas. And much too young. Were he alive, you two would have been quite alike, I'm sure."
"Milady, I…"
"Way to go, Boey." Mae berated him. "Your whining's gone and dredged up a bunch of sad memories for Celica."
"What?! Why is this MY fault?!" he whined in disbelieve.
"Uhh, because it's ALWAYS your fault!" Mae continued. "Now suck it up and get ready to fry some foes… Terrors or otherwise!"
"Crap…" Boey muttered in disgust.
The party prepared themselves to get through the graveyard and head to the port, and as they had expected, Terrors emerged from the ground.
"Oh shit! They're here!" said Boey in fright after seeing those monsters approaching them.
"Here we go, get ready!" Celica indicated them to prepare themselves to fight them.
And the battle for their lives began as the three engaged the monsters by any means which included magic attacks against them.
Boey, despite showing some reluctance, battled a Terror that was in front of him and launched a fire spell, killing him on the spot.
Mae and Celica did their own thing against those creepy creatures, having to endure the countless skeleton monsters who were emerging from the ground.
Just as they thought they finally got rid of Terrors, something unexpected happened.
"What the fuck?! What are those monsters doing here?!" Boey spoke out of shock upon seeing those silver monsters appear from nowhere.
"I dunno! We have never seen them before!" Mae replied in the same voice.
"I think we gotta fight them." Celica suggested them to engage with those creatures.
"Are you insane?! They're gonna kills us!" Boey protested being aware of the biggest danger they were in.
"We have no choice, Boey! We gotta get through this if we wanna reach for Mila!" Celica shouted making him see that there was no way out.
"Milady…" Boey shook his head understanding her statement.
[KINGDOM HEARTS II BGM: Rising Tension]
Celica, Mae and Boey decided to engage an almost impossible battle with those creatures, but nonetheless, they had to fight to survive.
Celica casted a fire spell onto that silver creature but it did not stutter as the Terrors did, Mae did the same thing and had the same outcome like everyone else.
The party did their best to deal damage to the creatures, but they were no match for them.
"Damn it! They are pretty tough!" Boey panted feeling tired.
"We can't even hurt them…" Mae recognized the big trouble they were in.
"If only Mila lend us some power to defend ourselves…" Celica said feeling that her end was close… until…
"YOO!" Roxas voice was heard not that from afar, as he entered in the scene in a supersonic speed.
"What the…?" Boey said in shock upon seeing him appear like that.
It was then when Roxas identified those monsters, these were nobodies, those creatures that Celica and the others couldn't defeat.
"Leave them to me, go!" Roxas asked them to stay back.
"Ye-Yes, thanks you." Celica replied complying his words. "Let's go.
"Wait, milady! There's too many of them I don't think he-." Boey was protesting when Celica interrupted him. "There's something special about this mysterious boy, something tells me that he will get rid of those creatures."
Meanwhile, Roxas engaged an intense battle against the nobodies using his keyblades' powers. Despite being outnumbered, this wasn't a problem for Roxas as he took them down using his Sonic Blade skill. And on top of that, he quickly killed some more by cutting them down at a very fast and swift pace.
Immediately, Roxas threw his keyblades against the remaining nobodies using the Double Strike Raid five times until he finally cleared the area.
[END OF MUSIC]
"That's all of them." He said after defeating everyone. "I'm sure those people must have gotten to the safety…"
However, he noticed Celica approaching him along with Boey and Mae, who were chasing after her.
"Celica, what are you doing? We have to head to the port!" Mae protested her actions mistaking Roxas as an evil person. "What if this guy is not a good person?!"
"Mae is right, milady! He could kill you at any moment!" Boey seconded agreeing with her.
"I don't think so, guys." Celica assured them looking at Roxas under the black hood. "If he wanted to hurt us, he would have done it by now. So… I just wanted to thank you for saving us… we wouldn't have survived if it wasn't for your good deeds."
"You're welcome... lady. I just did what I had to do against those monsters." Roxas explained his motives, eventually revealing his face to everybody.
"Wow… you look quite…" Celica got her face quite blushed. "Handsome… Did you really defeat those silver monsters?"
"Yes, I did." Roxas affirmed her by showing his two keyblades, much to Celica's party's surprise.
"No way! Did he really defeat them using those big keys?!" Boey shouted out of amusement.
"That's right. These big keys that you just called them, are the weapons against the darkness converging everywhere. This is a keyblade as you guys can see." Roxas explained to them about his weapon.
"A keyblade?" Mae asked in confusion.
"Yes, it's a weapon we use to fight the darkness, those silver creatures you were trying to fight were the nobodies." Roxas continued. "But they are not the only ones, Heartless and Unversed are dark creatures as well that we've been engaging for a long time. In order to keep balance between light and darkness."
"Fight the darkness… that makes sense." Celica comprehended Roxas words. "What's your name, anyway?"
"I'm Roxas, and you are…" he introduced himself.
"My name is Celica, he's Boey, and she's Mae." She introduced herself and the others.
"Nice to meet you, man." Mae and Boey said in unison nicely.
"Nice to meet you too." Roxas replied in the same voice.
"Anyway, we should head to the port. Do you want to come with us?" Celica proposed them to head to the port and have a sea journey, aside of asking him if he wanted to join them.
"Yes. That would be great." Roxas agreed to go with them, much to Celica's delight.
"Good. Then shall we?" She finalized as they headed to the said port.

AUTHOR'S NOTES:
Aaand that's it for now, folks. As you can see, this is the Roxas's Story during his time in Valentia. It will mostly follow Celica's Route, with obviously big differences from the original Gaiden and its remake. Also, just like with Sora's main story, I will try to make it have the Kingdom Hearts feeling rather than the traditional Fire Emblem atmosphere as seen in most games.
