Her phone rang at her, alerting her that it was time to wake up. With a moan, she reached for it and turns the alarm off. She rubbed the sleep away from her eyes, and threw the blanket off her before swinging around to sit on the edge of the bed.

Her eyes wandered to the All Might merch that decorated the desk. Then her eyes lock onto two gacha figurines that was made by the Good Smile Company as a rare one-of-a-kind gift a year ago. It was of Izuku in his first hero costume, the one made by his mother, in a heroic pose. The figurine Deku was accompanied by a gacha figurine of herself in her first hero costume. Figurine Uravity was standing heroically next to figurine Deku, fingers touching together with a confident smile on the face.

The first three days since Izuku's admittance into the hospital, she had difficulty sleeping in her own dorm room. The fourth day, instead of going to her room, she ended up going into Izuku's dorm room and falling asleep in his bed. The teachers tried to intervene, but had left it be. If it gave her some form of comfort, she was allowed.

She smiled to herself, as old memories resurfaced. The day they moved up from Year Two to Year Three, and thus move into the 3-A Dormitory. Apparently they were all respectable mature young adults that they no longer had to live separately by gender on the sleeping quarters. She giggled a bit, remembering how Izuku chose a dorm room right next door to hers, and how happy he was to have her as his next door neighbor.

The smile went away.

Izuku was in the hospital now. And in a month it was going to be his eighteenth birthday.

"Izuku… I hope you wake up soon."

Today was Sunday. At least she can go and visit Izuku again.

The teen put her slippers on, and she left Izuku's room to go downstairs from the second floor. When she exited the stairwell, she spotted a familiar young face. Two familiar young faces.

"Eri. Kota."

She then spotted Shino Sosaki (Mandalay) sitting next to Kota. Both kids were eating pancakes made by Rikido.

The kids looked up, dropped their forks and got out of their seats to rush at her, arms thrown up. Ochako got down to her knees and she envelops both kids into firm hugs.

"When will Izu-aniki be back?" Kota asked, already tearing up.

"I want him back, too," Eri sniffled out, too.

Ochako closed her eyes, tightening her hug on the two eight year olds.

"I want Izuku home, too," she whispers to the two kids.

She eventually lets go of the two and escort them back to the table. She sits down next to Mandalay.

"When did you get here?"

"Just ten minutes ago. Eraserhead let us onto campus," she informed Ochako.

"But you and the other Pussycats were over at Hokkaido to assist in a rescue op, weren't you?"

"Yeah. We only heard about the news three days ago. We finished the rescue op as fast as we can before getting back here. Kota was so upset when he found out, too. Demanding we take him here. So here I am."

Kota and Eri were sitting close together, as they continued eating breakfast in silence, their young minds filled with worry about the young man who changed their lives two years ago. Who saved them, became their personal hero.

Ochako thanked Rikido for the cup of tea he sat down in front of her, and takes a slow sip of the cold brew.

"I want my papa," said Eri.

The few other early birds of Class 3-A that were downstairs had turned their heads having heard Eri say those words. Ochako's eyes welled up with tears. She gets up, walks to Eri, and envelops the little girl in a hug.

"I want my papa," she tells Ochako, burying her face into her chest, clinging to the All Might t-shirt she was wearing.

Kota would hug Eri as well, to offer comfort to her.

Everybody wanted Izuku back home.

Toshinori sighed to himself. He was sitting by Izuku's bedside. He had shown up before seven am and was going to wait in the lobby until visitors were allowed, but sometimes, being the former number one Pro Hero All Might still had perks despite retirement. One of the doctors allowed him to see Izuku and he's been here ever since. Only the numerous machines he's hooked to would show he's not dead. The man sighed again, glancing at the clock on the wall.

"I've been here for two hours?"

He really must have been affected by the state of the boy that he honestly saw like a son.

A knock at the door.

Toshinori turned his head as the door slid open and in steps Tsukauchi.

"Naomasa."

"Toshi."

He closed the door behind him and took off his hat. Pulling a chair up opposite of Toshinori, the man sits down.

"Any luck?"

"Well, we have located her. Mrs. Mado, however, is in the hospital herself. She had given birth to her third child just yesterday. So it may be a day or two until she's discharged and then we can make arrangements. But she is deeply concerned about her estranged brother having committed the crimes he's done."

"Family issues, I assume?"

Tsukauchi nodded.

"Apparently, from what she had told Sansa and myself when we went to see her once locating her residence, and then learning of her hospital trip, their biological father is a complete unknown, and their biological mother had given both of them up at birth. Abandoned. They were raised by a foster family for a few years until adopted, however the brother became a terrible delinquent and entered the juvenile system before turning thirteen."

"That's sad," mutters Toshinori.

"Around sixteen, Mado never saw her brother again. He vanished. She however continued with her life. She's got a husband who took her family name instead of the other way around, and she's a specialist healer who helps those in comas to slowly heal them mentally via a third party. Her quirk is called Dreamscape, basically allows someone to dive into a target's dreamscape, their mind, and that person then can help mental recovery. Unlike her brother's quirk, hers manifest chains that keep two people's hands entwined to maintain connection."

"An interesting quirk."

The officer nods. "Yes, it is."

The men gaze to the sleeping Izuku.

"The poor kid. He's been through so much the past two years ever since you chose him as the ninth bearer."

"I swore to his mother Inko that I'd make sure nothing bad ever happens to Midoriya… and yet… I can't do a damn thing because of my retired status."

"Don't beat yourself up, Toshinori. It's the unpredictability of being a Pro Hero. Expect the unexpected, even if it truly takes you by surprise. But from what I heard, the second that first villain started his rampaging assault, Midoriya immediately went to planning how to stop the villain. He had two of his classmates assist in fighting the man, and three others immediately went to evacuating the civilians out of the danger zone."

Tsukauchi looked proud of this stated fact.

"Thanks to their quick efforts, we had zero fatalities, and limited collateral damage."

"Yet it didn't prevent young Midoriya from being forced into that coma…"

It was silent in the room.

There were a lot of people in Izuku's life who were feeling the frustration, the feeling of helplessness. Izuku looked so peaceful laying in the hospital bed, as if he was simply taking a nap…

They never knew that every day Izuku's inner turmoil was growing worse and worse…

Izuku was screaming in such agony, trying to block out the pain and the misery seeping into his very bones. The darkness around him hurt so much, he was sinking into the mass of black below his feet.

"Stop it! Please! Stop it!"

He was crying.

"Someone! Anyone! Please! Help me!"

The inky mass were like a thousand hands, clawing at him, slowly dragging him under. He felt like he was drowning. It was getting colder and colder.

"Help me… please…"

Izuku sunk underneath the darkness…

… Bubbles broke the surface…

… Izuku was falling.

Someone…

Anyone…

I'm scared…

I don't want to die…

=0=0=0=

Inside the elevator, Ochako felt a cold chill descend her back. Her thoughts immediately went to one young man.

Izuku-kun…

Ochako clenched her hands into tight fists, not liking this feeling of ill omen that tingled along her back.

DING!

The elevator doors opened and as briskly as she could without actually running, she hurried over to Izuku's hospital room. When she arrived, she slid the door open.

"Oh. Hello, All Might-sensei."

Toshinori looks over.

"Young Uraraka."

Ochako closed the door behind her and she moved towards the bed. Without another word, she reached forward, her hands clad in her gloves she never took off since waking up this morning, and gently held Izuku's hand. Tsukauchi offered his chair to the teen.

"Toshinori, I'm going to be leaving now. Ge back to work on our case here."

"Alright, Naomasa. Take care."

"You do the same, Toshinori."

The door soon opens then closes.

Toshinori looked to his student, who was now sitting down, never letting go of his successor's hand. He has heard from the other faculty members of the school that ever since Izuku ended up in the hospital, Ochako was the most prominent visitor to check on the green-haired boy.

"Visiting Midoriya again?"

"Yes," she answers softly.

Toshinori nodded gently, gazing back to the boy in the bed.

"When will he wake up, sensei?"

"The police have found a woman who is related to the villain that put Midoriya in this coma. But she's in the hospital after having a child recently. But as soon as she's able to, she will be escorted over to the mainland from Okinawa. Detective Tsukauchi informed me that Mrs. Mado will likely be ready to travel by the end of the day. We just have to wait."

Ochako sighed, looking depressed.

"Have faith, Uraraka. Just like Midoriya would in such dark times like now."

"I know… Izuku is my everything."

Toshinori said nothing. He is, however, happy that Izuku has someone who was very special to him.

"Young Uraraka?"

"Yes, sensei?"

"When I rose to the top as the number one hero in my prime, I was alone. I had no one intimately special in my life. It was… lonely… as the years went by. I never looked for romance. I was busy being the savior for this country, the Symbol of Peace. You obviously have a special connection with Midoriya. Don't let him go. You CAN be a great hero and STILL have the time for romance. After all, you are still a teenager. Teenagers should always explore in a healthy positive way, of course."

She nods, taking in his words. She crushed these feelings in her first year, but they manifested back when Izuku developed a second quirk power. They only got stronger and stronger after the Meta Liberation Army incident, which the League of Villains allowed the Pro Heroes to exhaust themselves taking out a militant-like group of extremists. Izuku almost died fighting Re-Destro, and then almost died again when the League ambushed after the battle and Shigaraki was close to ending Izuku's life. Thank whatever gods protected his life that day when Izuku dodged at the last possible second.

They're still a huge menace today. Evident by how Izuku is now in this damn coma, unable to awaken. Always causing trouble for society, trying to destroy it. She could still recall one such incident when the villain Dabi had come out into the open, unveiling himself to be the supposed dead son Touya Todoroki, Shoto's older brother. And how Endeavor's reputation took a damaging hit that never really recovered. Not to mention Shoto vowed after that day it was his duty to deal with his misguided brother.

Yes, there was a lot of things that's happened to them in their first two years as UA High students in the Hero Course. They've often been able to come out on top of most situations, the bad and the ugly. This current scenario they're all dealing with now, was the most challenging yet.

And Toshinori was quiet, sitting in the silence only interrupted by the machines that monitor his student's health.

"If he ever wakes up… I'll help him heal… and I'll tell him my true feelings for him…"

Toshinori heard. He says nothing.

He knew Uraraka was in love with Midoriya. And he has seen how much Midoriya was smitten with Uraraka. He's seen the synergy they shared together. The perfect union, the perfect team, really. He's probably not the only one in the entire school's faculty that can see them being unstoppable as a Pro Hero team in the future, making it as number one together instead of separately.

They mirror each other's determination every single day. Midoriya, I hope you never let this girl out of your sight. She would be the perfect one for you in your life, kiddo.

A soft smile crossed his lips, as he could just imagine the boy putting on the waterworks at his wedding with Uraraka.

"Hm? You okay, sensei?"

Oh? Did he chuckle aloud?

"I'm fine. I'm… just thinking about how far Midoriya's come ever since his first year at UA. Amazing how much he's grown. Of course, you've also grown in leaps and bounds. As have all your classmates."

Ochako's lips now curl with a smile, as memories resurface.

"Yeah… once a skittish shy boy, now he's so confident, brave, helpful, and never afraid."

"He's been in situations that left him hospitalized before. He's always made a full recovery. This is no different. He'll be saved."

"Yeah… he will… I will save him…"

She tightened her grip on Izuku's hand.

"When he wakes up, I'll be sure to tell him that I am here." Ochako looked at her cherished with love in her eyes. And I will tell him that I love him and want to be with him forever…

Toshinori glanced at the clock.

"Young Uraraka, I am going to head downstairs to the cafeteria and buy lunch. What would you like?" he asked.

"I don't mind whatever you get, sensei. Just tell me what I owe you so I'll pay you back."

"Nonsense, Uraraka. You don't have to do that. I'll buy."

With those parting words, the man left the room.

Ochako looks back to Izuku.

"Everyone misses you, Izuku. I miss you…"

=0=0=0=

Izuku opened his eyes.

He got out of bed, got dressed in his gakuran uniform and left his bedroom, heading down the hallway.

He was home at the apartment.

"I'm going, mom," he whispers, before leaving the house.

He looked up towards the sky when he was soon walking out of the lot of the apartment complex. The skies were dark and cloudy. He tightly gripped the straps of his yellow backpack, and started walking to school. As he walked, he did his best to drown out the voices around him from people staring at him, whispering things unintelligible. Whispers that held hurt. Words that promised pain. The cruel stares of other students he would encounter on his walk to school.

"Outta my way, shitty Deku!"

He's shoved roughly that he falls to the ground, as Katsuki Bakugo kept walking, uncaring of what he's done. Several other students that saw this laugh cruelly at him. The tears formed in his eyes, but he swallowed the sudden hard lump in his throat, ignores the tightening of pain in his chest, and slowly got back up, but he's kicked down again by another student, one of Bakugo's friends.

They then left him alone.

He whimpered in pain.

Today was just another day for Izuku Midoriya.

And the nightmares officially get worse for Izuku.

But don't worry, it gets worse before it gets better.

It's going to start slow, the healing, but the hurt is still spreading.
