Chapter 8: S-Class Trials

"Yes Natsu can be a S-Class Wizard" Makarov said
"If I become an S-Class Mage do I have to go to the trails?" Natsu asked the man
"Most likely" Makarov replied back
"Then I'll pass" Natsu said and everyone just looked at him
"Why?" Erza asked him
"Because you're pregnant and if something were to happen to you while I am over there, then i probably wouldn't be able to live with myself' He told her and Erza just sighs and leans into him a bit
"Well if that's your decision then I won't stop you" Makarov said and Natsu nods his head
"Looks like it's just going to be me and you this time around" Gildarts said in Mira direction and she kept ever present smile on her face
"Mira?" Erza asked
"Hmm?" she replied
"Do you have any Marshmallows?" Erza asked her and everyone just looked at her and Gildarts just snickered
"Ah, the random cravings. Better get used to this" He said to the couple and they both gave a light smile. Not too long later Mira came over to them with a bag of Marshmallows and a skewer. She put a Marshmallow onto the skewer, she was about to the put it into her mouth when an idea crossed her mind and she heeled Natsu in the shin
"OW! What did you do that for?" She just held the marshmallow up to him
"Toast it" She said in a demanding tone and Natsu just sighed
"I'm not a campfire" He said to her as he lit his finger on fire so she could toast the marshmallow "I hope your attitude doesn't stay like this' ' He said and all the onlookers just smiled while watching the couple. A bag of marshmallows later and a few more kicks to the shin Natsu and Erza decide to head home, well Erza's apartment.
Fairy Hills
Erza and Natsu are walking down the halls of Fairy Hills heading towards Erza's room, Erza opens the door and enters and Natsu follows behind her but when she turns the light on Natsu jaw drops to the ground. Her room is a mess, there's tissues and tissue boxes everywhere, there's ice cream containers and cake boxes on the floor and sheets in random locations around the room. Looking at this Natsu gets a sad look on his face but he doesn't say anything, he makes his way over to Erza and picks her up bridal style towards the bed, Erza lets out a small squeak at the sudden action but she instinctively wraps her arms around his neck. Natsu makes his way towards her bed and places her down and she Re-Quips into her pajamas and Natsu takes off his top before entering the bed. As soon as Natsu gets under the covers of the bed Erza immediately wraps her arms around him and Lets out light sobs into the crook of his neck
"I've missed you" She said and Natsu uses his hand to cup her chin and move her face up to face his
"I'm sorry. But I did what was best" He says to her as he moves his face towards her and gives her a passionate kiss on her lips and she immediately returns it with equal passion. after a couple of minutes they pull away for some much needed air "But I'm back now and I'm not leaving you ever again" He says and she nods her head and Natsu wraps his arms protectively around her waist and brings her closer towards his body.
"Good night my Dragon"
"Good night my Scarlet Knight" And with that for the first time in 3 months Erza had a peaceful nights sleep
1 Week Later
It's been a week since Natsu had come back home and today was the big day. Today was the S-Class participant announcement. The entire guild was eagerly waiting to figure out who was going to be entering it this year
"Everyone!" Makarov says and everyone turns towards the stage and they see Makarov standing there with Gildarts and Mira behind him "I'll be announcing those who will be participating in the S-Class advancement exams which will be held on Tenrou Island Fairy Tails holy ground" He says and everybody cheers
"Gray Fullbuster"
"Finally it's my time to shine" Gray says
"Levy McGarden"
"Me?' Levy questions
"Elfman Strauss"
"I'M THE MAN!" He yells out
"Cana Alberona"
"..." Cana just stays quiet and looks down
"Juvia Lockster"
"Juvia got picked?" She asked herself
"Fried Justine"
"Looks like I can follow in Laxus's footsteps" Fried says (During the 3 months the Fantasia Parade did happen just without Natsu or Erza. Sorry if the Arcs are so jumbled up)
"Mest Gryder"
"Mest?"
"I heard he almost past last year"
"Since there are some newcomers here, we'll go over the rules." Makarov says and Mira Speaks up
"The seven participants are to select a single partner within the one week preparation period." She says
"There are two rules when it comes to choosing a partner. First, The partner must be a member of Fairy Tail. Second, the partner can't be an S-Class wizard" Gildarts tells them all
"We'll announce the details of the trials once we're on Tenrou Island, But Mira will be serving as a hindrance this time" Makarov says shocking the guild
"Huh?!"
"Don't tell me they have to beat wizards like Mira to become S-Class" Lucy says
"Quit yapping. All S-Class wizards have had to go through this." Gildarts says
"H-Hold on" Elfman says
"You're going to participate too, Gildarts?!" Gray says shocked and all the other participants look on scared as well
"The seven selected members and their partners will meet at Hargeon Port one week from now... That is all!" Makarov yells the last part out
1 Week Later Hargeon Port (everything in that one week was the same just minus Natsu)
the S-Class participants along with their partners and the master are currently on a ship that is departing from Hargeon port
"TAKE CARE AND GOOD LUCK!" the members of Fairy Tail yelled out as they waved to the retreating ship.
"Who do you think will make it to the end?" Erza asks us while holding onto Natsu's hand
"Not sure. If I had to guess maybe Gray, if Gajeel wasn't a partner then he could also make it" He replies back to her and Erza nods in agreement and she also sees that somethings bothering him
"Is something bothering you?" She asks while looking up at him
"I just have a feeling that something bad is going to happen" He replies while looking into the distance
"I'm sure it's nothing. Lets go and get something to eat" She says with a smile and he smiles back hoping that she was right
"What would you like?" He asks her while they're walking down the street of Hargeon
"Some strawberry cheesecake sounds good," She says. So they went looking around for a place that sells it and it didn't take long to find one. They walked in and went up to the counter
"Good afternoon, what can I get for you?" The women at the front asks
"A slice of strawberry cheesecake and a stack of pancakes with whipped cream please" Natsu tells her
"That'll be 2500 jewls please" She says and Natsu hands her the money and they make their way over to a spare table to wait for their food.
"Do you wish that you went with them?" Natsu asks her as they sat down at their table
"I'd rather stay here with you and guarantee the child's safety" she answers back with a smile. Natsu and Erza stay there for a while talking about the S-Class exams and the baby while they ate their food. After they finished eating they decided it was time to head back to the guild.
Hours later Tenrou Island
The Tenrou team has just finished their battle against the dark guild Grimoire Heart. Each member had suffered a lot of damage and they were currently getting healed by Wendy. After Wendy had finished healing everybody they were going to start to head back towards to the ship, however they were all brought to a halt when they heard a roar, they all look up towards the sky and Gildarts speaks
"That roar, there's no doubt about it, he's here. Acnologia'' as he says that the dragon comes into view and everyones eyes go wide.
"A dragon!" Gray says still in shock, the dragon then descends towards the ground, as it lands in front of the group it blows away all the trees in its way
"Everyone! run '' Gildarts yells out and they all start running however Acnologia cuts them off preventing them from going further. Some of them did ranged attacks to him but they had no affect. Acnologia then starts to charge towards them however Makarov uses his titan magic and grows in size enabling him to wrap his arms around Acnologia's neck holding him back.
The Fairy Tail mages are yelling at their master to get back however he doesn't listen
"Run!" he says to them but they don't listen
"Under the circumstances we should also help" Fried says
"We're going to crush you!" Evergreen says
"Are you going to ignore your master's orders even to the end?! You damn brats!" They all stare at their Master in shock but they listen to him and start running towards the ship. Meanwhile Makarov is still trying to prevent Acnologia from getting past him. However Acnologia manages to push Makarov down and dig his talons into his chest. Acnologia is about to finish him off but is stopped when he is hit by a barrage of magical attacks sending him off of Makarov. All of the Fairy Tail mages come running back and all start attacking Acnologia however it is having no effect on him. Acnologia then spreads his wings and flies upwards, blowing the Fairy Tail members back. Acnologia then sucks in and white magic starts to swirl around his mouth.
"Breath!" Gajeel yells out
"Everyone who can use defensive spells go full power" Gildarts says
"I don't have enough time to draw up any runes" Fried replies
"There are plenty of other types of defensive spells that don't require the use of letters" Levy interjects
"Everyone! Focus all your magic power on Fried and Levy!" Lisanna yells out
"Everyone hold hands!" Mira says to them all and they all link hands with each other
"Lets all go home together!" Makarov says with tears in his eyes
"To Fairy Tail!" They all yell out as Acnologia fires his breath attack on them completely annihilating the island
All the council members that were there had their eyes wide in shock.
1 days later Fairy Tail guild
All the remaining members of the guild were doing what they usually do, laughing, fighting, talking and just being happy, but what they didn't know was that they were about to get the most tragic news. The doors to the guild have opened up and everyone directs their attention towards the visitors which happen to be council members
"What are council members doing here?" Macoa says
"Members of Fairy Tail we have come with tragic news" one of the council members start and all of the Fairy Tail members can feel their hearts dropping "Tenrou Island and all members that where there have all been whipped out by Acnologia" At that all the members gasp and most start to cry. Natsu turns towards Erza and brings her into his chest where she clutches onto his vest and starts crying. Seeing this the council decides to leave and give them time.
A search was conducted around the sea where Tenrou Island once stood but after 6 months of finding nothing they accepted the fact that they were gone and are not coming back.
New chapter hope you all enjoyed don't know if it was very good considering it took me like 4 months to get out, I just wasn't sure on how to continue it. I already have a plan for the next chapter it probably wont be as long as the others but it should be up within a couple of days or weeks.
