Unexpected Help
Zel's Log:
I think I may have found a lead onto a potential cure. According to one of Piper's book, there is a crystal that can revert an object or person back to their original form. I manage to convince Aerrow and his friends to head over there just to check it out. We unfortunately ran into the Raptors on our way there. You can guess what happens next.
And with that, Zelgadis ended his internal dialogue whilst dodging a crystal blast from his pursuers. He had known that this wasn't going to be easy. But he never expected the Raptors to be involved in this. Of course, it could have been a mission by Master Cyclonis to get the crystal for her nefarious schemes. Whatever the case, his priority now was to find the crystal and then beat up the lizard men which shouldn't be too hard. His chasers were Repton's brothers after all.
The chimera finally came into a dead end room where hopefully his magical crystal cure was in. It did look like it could be in here. The room was big, extravagant, and oh look, the crystal was sitting on an alter right in front of him. Alas, he couldn't try and grabbed as he heard the footsteps of the Raptors behind him. When they caught up to him, he had his sword drawn and ready.
Moments past and the slight scuffle Zelgadis was expecting hadn't happened yet. Even when the three raptors had finally caught their breaths, they were just standing a few feet from him staring. This was very curious considering the rushed-in battle tactics he had seen them utilized (and failing horribly). Lowering his sword slightly, he asked, "Aren't you going to attack me?"
The raptor brothers looked at each other before turning back to the chimera, shaking their heads. "Nope."
Zelgadis blinked at Hoerk as he raised an eyebrow. "… Really?"
"Yup," Spitz replied, "You can jutht go and get the crythtal."
"And then we can e-!" Before Leugy could say anything else, Spitz and Hoerk clasped over his mouth shushing him. Zelgadis watched, thinking about it for a moment. It was very suspicious that they were letting him get the crystal with not so much as a fight. Then again with all the losses that had suffered, it must have finally gotten through their thick heads that they couldn't win. That was surprising. He thought they couldn't think without Repton yelling at them.
Without a moment's hesitation, Zelgadis put his sword and away, walking over to the alter, and then picked up the crystal. He couldn't believe it. He was so close to finally becoming human once again. All it was going to take was this crystal and hopefully, he'll have fleshy skin again. His mind began to race with thoughts of him being human before it was interrupted with, "Uhhh, aren't you going to use it?"
Zelgadis' mood dropped a bit as he turned back to the Raptors, particularly to Leugy. "Not yet at least. First, I need to bring it to Piper so she can study it. Once she confirms it can help, then I'll use it."
His explanation left the three brothers in shock, much to his surprise. "B-But, I'm thure you are eager to use it right now?"
"I am," Zelgadis replied, "But considering how all my other so-called cures ended up, I at least want to have it tested first."
"So test it on yourself," Hoerk spoke up, annoyed.
"Oh I love to. But I think it would be best to have Piper look at it first. I want to know if this is the real thing… And there aren't any horrible side effects to worry about." Zel's ears drooped after the last sentence. "I think I've been hanging around Stork too much."
His rationality for not doing so was not enough to convince the three. "But why not now? I mean, you've been searching for this for a long time, right?"
Zelgadis remained silent until he asked, "Okay, what's going on here?" The three brothers perked up. "You seem eagered to get me to use this thing. What are you planning?"
The Raptors winced before waving their hands hastily. "N-nothing! We jutht want to thee what you look when you're human."
"Then you can wait until I learn if this can do it. I'm sure you get to see it when you fight the Storm Hawks."
"But we wanna see now!" Leugy whined loudly, "Even Repton does."
Zelgadis sighed, getting annoyed by this. "Look, I already made my case with why I can't use it now. I'm not going to be convinced otherwise."
Well, this seemed to be a bit of a conundrum. The Raptors still wanted Zelgadis to use the crystal for one reason or another. However, the chimera was too determined in not using it at the moment. In final desperate attempt, Spitz stepped forward, glared at Zelgadis straight in the eye, and said, "Uthe the rock, ya dork."
Zelgadis was unfazed by his sudden demand, even as going as far as saying in a teen girl-fashion, "Make me." And with that, he was tackled by the three into a wrestling match. It was pretty much an even match with one rock-skinned chimera versus three bad-tempered lizards. In an attempt to ward them off, Zelgadis accidently whacked one of them with the crystal in it, causing in to activate.
Sometime later, everyone else came into the room, shocked at what they saw. You see, the crystal's power was as it said. But it was to do so in terms of aging. As such, the object returns in its newer or younger form. In other words, Zelgadis, Leugy, Spitz, and Hoerk were now babies.
"Idiotssss!" Repton shouted at his now hatchling brothers, "I told you to let him get the cryssstal! Not messss with it!"
"… Wait, you want Zel to get the crystal?"
"Of coursssse! Then when he'ssss human, I can get back at him for breaking my teeth!" Then, Repton just slapped his face with embarrassment. "But that really doesssssn't matter because now I have to deal with my idiot brothersss being hatchlingsss again!"
The three hatchlings of Leugy, Spitz, and Hoerk didn't seem mind their brother's rants. They were contend with chewing on a baby Zelgadis, who was very annoyed.

Hi again! Here's another oneshot
You know, I've been considering that the Raptors would be helping out Zelgadis, just so they could make it easier to eat him (Check out chapter 10 for reasons why). Alas, they'll probably mess this up like everything else. And Zel may figure out what their true motives were.
Nothing else much to say except I'll be sure to have some other stuff up soon. Possibly an update Gaia/Atmos story and along with a new project. Anyway, thanks for reading!
