Hey everyone, here's chapter 3. Hope you like it.
Today, the poor captain and lieutenant were getting ready for the Kuchiki clan meeting, neither of them were happy about. Renji was fidgeting with his fingers and hanging his head low. The red-haired lieutenant couldn't think of the last time he was this nervous about something. He was so scared the Kuchiki clan was going to try and take his captain away from him, which he told himself before that he would kill them if they tried. Renji felt hands on his and when he looked up he saw his beloved captains dark eyes looking at him. "Stop fidgeting, Renji. Everything is going to be alright. I promise." Byakuya told him comfortingly. They made their way to the Kuchiki manor, but Renji stopped them halfway.
"Byakuya if they try to take you away from me, I swear I'll…I'll…" Byakuya interrupted his red-haired lover with a kiss upon his lips.
"I won't let that happen." He told his beloved lieutenant. They started walking again and stood in front of the door leading into the nobles home. Byakuya stood there, noticing Renjis reiatsu was flaring. He squeezed his lovers hand lightly and he noticed his red-haired lieutenants reiatsu was slowly going back to normal. The two entered the building and made their way down a long hallway into a large room. Renji saw the clan leaders standing there watching the two men. Byakuyas reiatsu was still and calm. How can he be so calm? It is Byakuya, after all. Maybe I should try and calm down. Maybe everything will be okay. Renji thought to himself. They both turned to look the way of the clan leaders but Byakuya never let go of Renjis hand.
"Good morning, Byakuya, Renji." The head clan leader said to them. How he said Renjis name was cold and distant, not at all happy in any way. Which both of them expected.
"Good morning, grandfather." Renji held his head down and squeezed Byakuyas hand lightly.
"Let's talk about the issue here." The old man said, motioning toward Renji. "Now, Byakuya you told us that you loved this man. We are considering accepting that, but we still have the matter of a Kuchiki heir. As you both should know, two men cannot conceive a child." Renji felt his hand being squeezed tightly. Renji looked up and saw all the leaders looking at him.
"Yes, we are aware of that issue. What did you have in mind to fix it?" Byakuya asked the old man.
"We were thinking that you could conceive an heir with a woman…"
"Hell no!" Renji yelled out to them, interrupting the old man. "There is no way in hell that I will ever share Byakuya with anyone! I don't care how much you want an heir from Byakuya, I will not let that happen! He is mine and you will not…"
"Renji!" Byakuya said sternly at his lover. Renji looked back at his dark-haired captain in shock. "That's enough." The dark-haired captain told him. "Is there anyway that we could conceive a child together…"
"I think I can help with that." A familiar, sinister voice told them from the door. Everyone looked at where the voice came from and saw the captain of the 12th division walking towards them.
"What are you doing here, Kurotsuchi?" Byakuya asked.
"I'm here to help with your dilemma. I have been watching you two for some time now and believing that this certain issue would come into view, I've already helped you." He said smiling evilly.
"And how the hell did you do that, you experimental psychopath?" Renji asked the 12th division captain.
"Byakuya, have you been experiencing any discomfort, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, or emotional distress here lately?" Renji noticed Byakuyas eyes go wide and he looked down, sighing.
"How did you know that?" Byakuya asked with his head low. It was now Renjis turn to be shocked. He stood in front of his lover, looking down at him.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Renji asked his dark-haired lover.
"Because I didn't know what it was." Byakuya responded softly.
"What did you do to him?" Renji asked the 12th captain, turning toward hm.
"I simply helped you two conceive a child together. I put a device inside you Renji that made its way down to your semen. Once it was inside your semen and after your intimate night, it would go into Byakuyas stomach and the device would act as an egg already fertilized and growing a womb inside of him, along with the fetus. You are my first human experiment for this, so be glad you insolent fool that I was generous enough to give you such a scientific breakthrough."
"Yeah and what do you want out of it?" Renji asked, angrily. The 12th captain simply smiled.
"All I want is to be able to monitor the childs' progression." He said as he turned to walk away. "Let me know what you want to do." He said, while exiting the room. Renji turned back toward Byakuya.
"Byakuya?" He asked him. Byakuya looked up at his red-haired lover, tears threatening to fall from his eyes.
"Well this changes everything. Even though it is not right for a man to carry a child, we will have to accept it. But just know, from here on out this will not be easy for either of you. That being said, you two may leave." Renji and Byakuya bowed to the clan leaders and headed back down the hallway. Once outside Byakuya flash stepped away, leaving Renji shocked and confused.
"Captain!" Renji said looking for his captain. He went to the 6th division and he felt his captains reiatsu flaring. He walked in and the pressure of it was almost unbearable. Renji flash stepped to his captain taking his hands in his own. "Byakuya, calm down. It'll be okay." Renji said, trying to comfort his captain who was crying on the lieutenants futon.
"Renji, I'm not upset, silly." Byakuya said, laughing softly.
"Wait, what? Then why are you crying?" Renji asked his beloved captain.
"Because, I can't believe it. I'm pregnant, Renji. I thought I was just getting sick, not because of this." Byakuya said, putting a hand on his stomach. Renji put a hand over Byakuyas and smiled softly.
"We're gonna have a baby. Maybe we should thank that psychotic captain for this gift." Renji said softly.
"Yes we should. But first we should go and see Unohana to check on the baby." Byakuya stated.
"Yeah, come on, let's go." Renji said, standing up and holding out his hand for Byakuya to take. The dark-haired captain took it proudly and they walked out the door. Neither of them cared about the eyes that were on them. Everybody was whispering and staring at them, but Byakuya and Renji kept walking. "This is weird, but I'm happy about being able to be with you out in the open."
"Yes, it certainly is, but I'm happy as well." They almost got to the 4th division when they were stopped by none other than Renjis buddies, Ikakku and Yumichika.
"What's up, guys?" Renji greeted.
"Renji, why are you holding hands with your captain? Are you two together or something?" Ikakku asked, nudging Yumichika playfully. Renji and Byakuya looked at each other and blushed, before looking away. "Oh Kami! You are together!"
"Yeah so what if we are? I'm proud to be with him and besides it's none of your business!" Renji exclaimed. The twos eyes went wide and they backed away.
"Renji, bud. I don't care who you're with, guy or girl. But did it really have to be with the Kuchiki prince?" Ikakku asked, sarcastically.
"Ikakku will you shut the hell…" Byakuya dropped Renji hand and flash stepped away. "Byakuya!" Renji yelled after him. "I will deal with you two later." He gave them a death glare and ran after his emotional lover. He went into the building, looking for Byakuya. He saw Unohana, looking at a patients paperwork. He went up to her and she smiled at him.
"Can I help you, Renji?" She said, like she already knew what he was wanting.
"Yeah, have you seen my captain?" He asked her. She pointed to a hallway to his left.
"Captain Kuchiki is the third door on your right." Renji started toward the hallway. He turned back around and bowed to her.
"Thank you, ma'am." He said, before turning back and running toward Byakuyas room. He entered the room and saw Byakuya sitting there, calmly now. Byakuya looked at Renji and hung his head low, tears stinging his eyes again.
"I apologize for taking off on you again. I'm just use to not…" Renji flash stepped toward him and kissed his lovers lips, interrupting him.
"I know, but you don't have to hide from me. When we are alone you can always let your guard down around me. I will always be here, Byakuya." Renji comforted his lover.
"Thank you, Renji." The dark-haired captain said, smiling softly.
"There's nothing to thank me for." Renji told him, while bringing the chair in the side of the room closer to his lover. Unohana walked in afterwards, smiling at them.
"How are you two and what can I help you with?" She asked softly.
"Well I… I'm pregnant and we were just wondering if you could see how the baby is doing." Byakuya explained.
"Kurotsuchis' doing, I'm guessing. So if you would lay down on the bed and I'll take a look." She stated. Byakuya laid down and Renji stood beside him, holding his hand. Unohana laid her hands on Byakuyas stomach and closed her eyes. Byakuya felt Unohanas reiatsu enter him, which was warm and comforting. After a few minutes she slowly and calmly brought her reiatsu back and smiled at them. "There is certainly a baby in there and it seems to be doing just fine. I will talk to Head Captain Yamamoto and see if we can get a fetal monitor for you so we can get a good look at the precious fetus inside of you."
"Thank you, Unohana." Byakuya said, sitting back up.
"You're welcome. Now the first few months are crucial, so take it easy and don't put too much stress on your body or there is a possibility of miscarriage. Which with the baby being a Kuchiki and Abarai, I believe it will be just fine." She said, laughing softly. "Well, I wish you both good luck and congratulations." She told them, while walking out the door. Renji kissed Byakuyas forehead and held his hand. Byakuya got off the bed and they both walked out of the 4th division.
They made it to the 6th division and Byakuya turned toward Renji, holding his hands in his own. Byakuya kissed Renji before saying, "go get your stuff, love." Renji tilted his head slightly, like a puppy not understanding a command. "I want you to move into the Kuchiki manor with me." Renjis eyes went wide and he was speechless. "Unless you don't want to." Byakuya said. Renji noticed tears threatening to fall from his lovers eyes.
"Please don't cry, I would love to. I was just shocked at what you said. Please don't cry, please." Tears still fell from his lovers eyes. Byakuya turned around and stood there, trying to stop the tears. Renjis face softened and he wrapped his arms around his lover. The two stood there for a few minutes as Renji had his face nuzzled into the crook of Byakuyas neck. "I love you, babe." Byakuya turned around and buried his face in Renjis chest.
"I love you too." Byakuya muffled through the fabric.
"Thank you, babe." Byakuya looked up confused. Renji smiled softly and all Byakuya could see In his eyes was love.
"What for?" The dark-haired captain asked.
"For everything. Loving me back, giving me something to fight for, and dropping your guard around me, letting me see your sensitive side. Right now I don't think it can be helped with the pregnancy and all, but before that you still slowly started trusting me enough to do it. I know after Hisana it couldn't have been easy for you to trust or love someone like that again and she will always be there in your heart, but I'm glad I'm a part of you now." Renji placed his hand on Byakuyas stomach and tears started falling from his eyes now.
"Renji…" Byakuya said softly. "I know I can trust you and I love you for that. It's easy being myself around you. It's trying not to be around other people when your around is the problem." The dark-haired man stated.
"Give me a minute and we can head to the manor." He said as he flash stepped away and back in a blink of an eye. "Okay, I'm ready." He said standing there in front of Byakuya with a small bag of his things. "I just grabbed the necessities for now." Byakuya smiled at him and they made their way to the Kuchiki manor hand in hand.
Once inside Byakuyas room, Renji started putting his stuff away. Byakuya started helping him and he was about to pull out a little blue box, but Renji took it from him. "Um… I'll take care of it. It's not much so why don't you prop your feet up and I'll do this." Byakuya just shrugged it off, as if it was Renji being overprotective now that he was pregnant. The dark-haired captain sat down on the futon and watched Renji put his stuff away, showing him where everything went with a point or a hand wave.
Everything was finally put away and Renji plopped on the futon beside Byakuya. "You know I've never been inside your room before. I never realized that until now." He said looking around a little. Byakuya laid down beside Renji and Renji laid his head on Byakuyas stomach.
"I don't think you're gonna feel anything right now." Byakuya stated to his lover, looking down at him.
"I know, that's not what I'm doing." Renji told him. Byakuya then felt a calming and warm reiatsu enter his. It made its way inside until it stopped, feeling something. It slowly disappeared as Byakuya was getting use to the feeling. Byakuya saw tears fall from Renjis eyes. "Byakuya can you feel its reiastu?" Renji asked his lover.
"If I concentrate my reiatsu I can. Other than that, no." Byakuya stated. Renji then heard Byakuyas stomach growl. Renji smiled and got up.
"I think the baby is hungry." He said helping Byakuya up.
"I suppose you're right." Byakuya said to his red-haired lover. They went to the dining hall and ate after the servants brought out their food. Even though they were in the Kuchiki manor, Renji still acted like his childish, up-beat self, which made Byakuya happy. He didn't want Renji to think he had to change for the approval of others, because Byakuya fell in love with that man just for who he was. Hisana was the same way. Thank you Hisana for giving me the chance to love another as I did you. They ate and went to the Byakuyas room.
"Do you feel like a bath? I could go for one." The red-head stated.
"I could go for a bath, yes." Byakuya said. They grabbed their night clothes and headed to the Kuchiki bathhouse. Once inside Renji could smell the scent of Sakura blossoms and mint. He went over to his lover who was getting undressed already. He grabbed Byakuyas hand and helped take off his captains haori. As the dark-haired captains clothes were soon off Renji stood there admiring his now naked lover. "Please stop staring, Renji." Renji snapped back to reality and kissed his lovers lips.
"I can't admire you?" The redhead asked.
"I suppose, but you're staring at me like a piece of meat." Byakuya stated.
"I'm sorry, you're just so damn sexy, I can't help it. Now, knowing my baby is in there, I want to stare more." Renji explained.
"Let's get into the bath." Byakuya said smiling. He stepped in and got comfortable, as Renji got undressed himself. Now it was Byakuyas turn to admire his red-haired lover. Renji stepped into the bath and stepped toward his lover. Byakuya turned around, which gave his lover better access to his neck. Renji kissed and nipped his lovers neck, earning a moan from Byakuyas lips. "Renji…" was all Byakuya could muster. Renji reached around and started stroking his beloved captain. Byakuya leaned into his red-haired lover, not wanting him to stop.
"Byakuya, I need you." The red-haired lieutenant sighed out. Byakuya brought a hand up and grabbed a handful of the sexy red locks of his lover and ground his ass against his lieutenant.
"Take me, Renji." Renji and Byakuya had an intimate moment in the bathhouse.
After a moment of catching their breaths on the bank of the steamy pool and washing each other off, they stepped out of the hot water. They got dressed and headed to the room they now shared. They knew they had work tomorrow, so they got comfortable in their futon, cuddled up to one another and fell asleep.
