I've got nothing. Especially since I don't own Harry Potter)
...(you see what i did there?)
Sabine's POV
Somethings wrong
Ya, say what you will about seer's, but when we know, we know.
The vision had hit me as I sat down on the metro, holding both kids in my lap as they dozed off.
You know how you can feel when a sneeze is coming? The vision gave about a 5 second heads up, just enough for me to bury my face into Athena's soft hair before my eyes started swirling grey
Sirius and Remus standing over the counter, gesturing in panic at a copy of the daily profit. The image shifted, now showing them...
Was that a kiss?!
Okay, holy fuck, that just happened.
No, not kissing anymore, they were fighting. What were they saying? I blinked in confusion, my visions weren't usual silent.
I flinched as Sirius slapped Lupin , that seemed uncalled for.
Sirius stared down at Remus, a look of horror and fear covering his features. Then he bolted upstairs, the vision following him up and into his room, cutting out just before he reached his room.
Back downstairs, Remus sat on the floor in a daze, looking heart broken. Then, as quickly as it started, the vision stopped. I looked up and then down at both kids, sighing slightly.
Jeez, leave these two alone for an hour and this is what happens. The metro began to slow and I stood, waking Athena and Harry as we stopped.
"Come on, time to go home." "But why-" "because Lupin and Sirius need my help." I answered sharply, regretting my words eminently.
Harry's face filled with worry. "Are they okay?" He asked, his little voice going up an octave. I walked them off the crowded platform and into the ladies room.
"Yes, of course they are, they just need me to help them realize something." I said back, pushing all three of us into the largest stall and opening my bag.
Inside was a little gadget I'd picked up a while back. It looked kind of like a febreeze can, the label reading "Sound silencer for all on life's noisy moments " in fancy cursive letters.
Spraying a circle around us, I bent down to talk to the kids. "Alright, remember to think about home okay? " I said and both of them nodded.
I grabbed their hands, gave both of them a hard squeeze, and disapparated with a loud pop.
Remus's POV
I was still siting on the floor when Sabine and the kids got back. I sat there, slack faced and unmoving, as the door unlocked and they all came bustling in.
Harry saw me first, falling silent and then rushing towards me. He ran up and hugged me so hard I fell over, the little boy's voice bring me out of my stuper. Athena quickly piled on and I was flattened again.
"What happened-"
Why are you on the ground?"
"Did the munchkins get you?!"
"Oi!" Sabine yelled, gently pulling both of them off of me.
"Thank-" I began, but Sabine cut over me.
"Athena, Harry, why don't you go play in your room. Me and Lupin need to talk." I gulped, the way she said it, it kind of reminded me of my mother grabbing my fathers arm and pulling him out of the room to "talk".
Both kids ran up, Harry shooting me one last worried glance before Athena pulled him up the stairs.
"And don't bother Sirius! He's, uh... sleeping!" The seer called after them. Yep, definitely in trouble.
She turned on me, offering her hand and leading me over to a chair. She then sat across, staring at me expectantly.
"I made a mistake."
"Ya, no shit Sherlock." Sabine snorted, resting both elbows on the table.
"How did you-"
"I'm a seer, remember?" She cut over me once again. I must have made a face, because her eyes softened slightly.
"I had a vision on the train ride here, skipped clothes shopping and ran all the way home."
I gulped, Harry had been looking forward to getting new clothes since Sirius saved him, and I'd gone and ruined it. Looking back up at her, I could swear Sabine read minds.
"We can go another time, maybe you and Sirius could come." I stiffened and clenched my fists.
"So, it's a that what this's about?" She asked, plopping the daily profit on the table. I stared down at the newspaper angrily, like it'd been the one to chase Sirius away.
Sirius it hit me like a anvil dropping from the sky. I had lost him, again. The world started to swirl again until I felt a warm hand on mine. I looked up to see Sabine's deep hazel eyes, brown usually and then green if you saw them in the right.
"You have to go talk to him."
"I know." I replied tiredly.
"Then why are you sitting here with me? Go on!" Sabine prompted, giving my hand a light pat before standing.
"Because..." because of years of unsaid grief and separation. Because we fell in love young and stupid, not knowing the consequences. And now, because I'm to much of a ruddy coward to chase after that love.
I didn't say this, but she understood. Her eyes held no pity either. Just hopefulness, maybe a little sadness, like she'd fallen in love herself and now it was gone. I stood, giving her one last nod before heading up.
I could hear Harry and Athena, the sound of them squabbling over what sounded like monopoly (a muggle game that I'd played growing up and that Sirius found fascinating) making me smile. Good thing to, I had just reached out door.
We'd never stopped sharing. Sabine had offered to clear one of the other (many many) rooms out for him, but we'd objected.
Looking back, it should have been obvious why Sirius had abstained, coming up with a thousand excuses until Sabine relented and shot me a smug smirk.
Still, my hands shook. Sweat beaded on my forehead and my mind was running faster the Athena on a sugar high.
Do it, go in there.
You have to do this, don't let him slip away.
Come on, just open the door
What would James say? Lily would say your being stubborn.
Come on! do it. Do it DO IT!
But I couldn't, my knuckles rested on the oak door, not knocking. Every moment, ever second of our lives played through my mind.
I couldn't lose him. You just did. And why should you anyway?
He's "don't say it!" Better of without you!
And there it was. I took a step back, peering desperately at the finely carved wood.
Yes, I had agreed to come here. Yes, I had agreed to raise Harry and leave my life and come here with Sirius.
But I had not sighed up to break his heart. His beautiful heart that had been beaten and betrayed in what must be the most horrible place on earth for 6 years.
So there a stood, staring at that door for what seemed like hours until finally giving up and turning away.
I hadn't agreed for my heart to be broken, either.
Oh what had I done?
Ha Ha Ha! You were not ready for that.
I'm a horrible person, but drama is what I thrive on.
Also, where are y'all's comments?! I miss them! Please start doing that again.
Anyways, another chapter out soon, love y'all!
