Team 7 and the other team stood in a large room with a pair of large stone hands in the ram seal, "first off, congratulations on finishing the second test." Anko said as she looked around the room, 'there were 78 genin in the second test, to think 21 have made it this far. I knew Less than half would make it, but I really thought the number would be single digits' Anko thought in dismay. The hokage was Surrounded by the jonin senei's and chunin proctors, "you're team may have made it this far, but they stand no chance of getting past my youthful students!" Guy said as he looked at Kakashi, "I'm sorry, Guy, but did you say something?" Kakashi mockingly asked as Guy punched the air, "Damn you, Kakashi, and your hip attitude!" Guy said, fire in his eyes as Kakashi sweat dropped, 'sometimes I wonder, how guy is this childish" Kakashi thought as he sighed.
'So that's guy sensei's eternal Rival, huh?' Tenten thought as she looked at her sensei punching the air, 'I'll also pass this test! I'll make Guy sensei Proud! I'll never lose again, so I can protect Sakura-Chan!' Lee thought as his eyes lit up with determination, 'a lot of genin are left moreover, of those left, almost all are rookies. So that's why They were so insistent on recommending them.' Hiruzen thought as Anko cleared her throat, "now then, we will now have the explanation of the third test from hokage-same! So listen up!" Anko Said as hiruzen stepped forward, "the third test is a one on one battle of the genin. If you lose, you will fail. If you win, you shall proceed. The match ups will be drawn shortly" hiruzen said as he Signalled for hayate. Hayate appeared in all his coughing and wheezing glory, he bowed to the hokage as he turned to the genin "this is a preliminary to the third exam, with participation in the main battle on the line" hayate said as the genin looked on in confusion.
"Preliminary!? What do you mean preliminary?!" Shikamaru objected, "sensei, I don't understand the point of the preliminary. Why aren't we doing the next exam with the remaining test-takers?" Sakura asked as hayate tried to clear his throat, "perhaps because the first and second exams were easy, and there are a few too many people left. In accordance with the rules of the chunin exams, a preliminary will take place to reduce the number of genin" hayate said coughing the whole time, 'this guy doesn't look all too good' Sasuke thought as he covered his noise and mouth, "excuse me, those of you who want to leave speak up now, the preliminary will begin immediately" hayate said, "come on! I just used so many shadow clones!" Naruko whined as Sasuke patted her back, "I'm sure you can beat most of the people here regardless" Sasuke assured as Naruko sighed, she was tired and hungry, "we just made it through the second exam" Ino complained as Shikamaru groaned, 'who would want to quit now?' Sasuke thought as he felt pain where the curse mark was, 'this stupid thing, the pain is getting worse' Sasuke thought as Sakura and Naruko looked at him with concern, "Sasuke-kun, what's wrong?" Naruko asked as he waved her off.
"Sasuke-kun, I think you should quit, the mark Orochimaru gave is getting worse" Sakura pleaded as Sasuke glared at her, "Sakura, I'm not quitting when we're so close to finishing this thing. If you feel like it you can quit" Sasuke said as Sakura shut up, "teme-kun, there's no reason to be rude" Naruko said as Sasuke sighed, "well, she was the one giving stupid ideas" Sasuke rebuffed as Naruko sighed, "I knew it. What shall we do?" Hiruzen asked Anko, "we should remove him from the exams and keep him under anbu watch" Anko said as Kakashi stepped forward, "do you think he'll obey to what your suggesting? Sasuke and Naruko are some of the most stubborn people I've met, besides Guy." Kakashi said as he eye smiled, "what're you talking nonsense for?! I'll make him stop, by force if needed! The curse activities even when one's just building up chakra and attempts to forcibly extract his strength!" Anko yelled, "that crazy lady is yelling at poor Kakashi-sensei" Naruko said as they looked on, "excuse me, I'll quit." Kabuto said as all eyes turned to him, "very well, let me see" hayate said as he Flip through his clipboard, "yakushi kabuto of konoha, correct? Then you may step back, "kabuto-san, why're you quitting!?" Naruko asked as kabuto turned to her, "I'm sorry, but I'm worn out. I can't fight right now" kabuto said as he left.
"I've seen that face before. If my mind hasn't been destroyed by the paperwork, I remember him dropping out last time as well" hiruzen said as he tried to remember, "according to the data, he has failed six times" Anko said as she looked at the clipboard, "and what about his background?" Hiruzen asked he was getting more and more suspicious of that kid, "from his time at the academy, he was a student who didn't stand out, he passed the graduation exam on his third try, but there's something before he joined the academy…" Anko said as hiruzens Curiosity Peeked, " hokage-sama, do you know about the one boy brought back from the kikyo pass battle?" Anko asked as hiruzen nodded, " As I remember, I heard an enemy boy survivor at the battlefield was taken back by a jonin from the medical unit. So he's that boy?" Hiruzen asked as Anko nodded. Hayate cleared his throat, but no one thought his was trying to get their attention, "NOW THEN!, there are no others quitting, right?" Hayate asked as no one raised their hand, 'I must tell them about Sasuke-kuns mark' Sakura was about to raise her hand when Naruko and Sasuke glared at her, "Sakura, It's fine that's no need to worry" Sasuke firmly said, "but, I can't watch you suffer I-" Sakura was cut off by Sasuke, "I've tried telling you nicely, but you don't understand do you? It's none of your business, Sakura. Look at Naru-Chan, she's concerned but she's not trying to throw me under the bus" Sasuke said as he glared at Sakura.
"Sasuke-kun, you could've gone a little easier on her" Naruko scolded as Sasuke sighed, "I swear I'll tape her mouth shut if she try's again" Sasuke said as Naruko hugged him from behind, "that's enough, calm down" Naruko said, "fine, but that's her last warning" Sasuke said as Naruko smiled, "good teme-kun" Naruko said as she kissed his cheek, "what Orochimaru said is sitting on my mind. I will let Sasuke-kun take the test…however, if the curse activates and he go's even a little out of control, he'll be disqualified on the spot" hiruzen said as Kakashi nodded. "The test will begin now, one on one battle's. There are now 20 of you, so we will conduct 10 battles. The winners will advance. You will fight until someone is unable to continue, or is dead or forfeits, and one thing… please give up if you don't wanna die. I will also intervene if one is unable to continue" hayate said as he waved his hand and a panel on the wall opened, revealing a screen, "the names of two foes will be randomly selected and displayed on the screen behind me. So let's get down to business and announce the first battle" hayate said as the screen began shuffling to names, and landed on "Akado Yoroi VS. Uchiha Sasuke" the screen displayed, "that's no fair! How does Sasuke-kun always get this lucky!" Naruko exclaimed as she pouted, "ha, weren't you complaining, that you were tired, naru-Chan?" Sasuke said as he chuckled, "good luck, Sasuke-kun" Naruko said as she kissed his cheek.
"now then, the two displayed on the screen, come forward" hayate said as Sasuke and yoroi stepped forward, "Uchiha Sasuke and akado yoroi have been selected. No objections right?" Hayate asked as both nodded, "now then, we will begin the first battle. All others, please get on the stands" hayate said coughing his lungs out, the others went up the stairs as Kakashi appeared next to Sasuke, "Sasuke, don't use your sharingan" Kakashi said as Sasuke was momentarily stunned, "so, you knew, huh?" Sasuke asked as Kakashi nodded, "if that curse mark gets out of control you'll be disqualified, so keep that in mind." Kakashi said as he patted Sasuke on the back, 'great, just great, if I use too much chakra this stupid thing's gonna go out of control, so no sharingan or careless jutsu' Sasuke thought as he sighed in dismay, "you may begin" hayate said as he stepped back. yoroi threw multiple kunai at Sasuke, as he blocked the pain of the mark came rolling back, 'damn this thing!' Sasuke thought as he dodged a punch and Swept yoroi's leg, making him fall to the ground and into Sasuke's headlock, "yea! You did it, Sasuke-kun!" Naruko cheered as yoroi chuckled, "you think this does anything, boy?" Yoroi said as he put his hand on Sasuke's arm, and began draining his chakra, 'my chakra! How the hel-' Sasuke was cut from his thinking when yoroi elbowed him on the chest, and jumped off.
Sasuke got up clutching his chest, "Sasuke-kun! Look out!" Naruko and Sakura warned, he looked up as yoroi grabbed him by the head and slammed him down. He started draining Sasuke's chakra, "w-what the… my chakra!" Sasuke yelled as Yoroi chuckled, "boy, you only now noticed?" Yoroi mocked as he continued absorbing his chakra, "Come on! Don't you dare loss, Sasuke-kun!" Naruko yelled as Sasuke kicked yoroi off, Sasuke was still on the ground almost all of his strength was gone, "to think you have any strength left" yoroi mocked as Sasuke got up, "so, you can get up, huh? Doesn't matter" yoroi said as he ran at Sasuke, he was doing his best to dodge. He dodged and tried to kick yoroi, but yoroi blocked and it still drained his chakra, Sasuke had to jump away, 'what the hell do I do?! Every time I make contact he drains my chakra!' Sasuke thought, "Come on, Sasuke-kun! Give it your best!" Naruko yelled as Sasuke stared at her, "Sasuke-san, you can do it! It your flames of youth burn!" Lee cheered as he stood next to Sakura, 'that guy…wait that's it!' Sasuke thought as yoroi ran at him, he dodged as he vanished in a Burst of speed, "he just disappea-" yoroi was kicked into the air as Sasuke jumped behind him.
"How? That's not possible" lee said his jaw hitting the ground, "mine might not be as good as the original, but it can sure put yo-" Sasuke was cut off as the curse mark started activating, 'no, no, not now' Sasuke thought as he froze up, "oh no, Sasuke-kuns mark is activating" Sakura said as she paled, "Sasuke-kun! You can do it. Don't give in!" Naruko and Sakura yelled as Sasuke tried his best not to give into the marks influence, 'Sasuke, don't give in' Kakashi thought as the mark slowly receded, Sasuke smirked as he kicked yoroi down, "shishi rendan! (Lion combo) " Sasuke said as he slammed an axe kick on yoroi's torso, yoroi spat out blood as he was slammed into the ground, "there's no need to even check" hayate said as he looked at the unconscious body of yoroi. Hayate looked over to Sasuke as he got up, "akado yoroi is unable to continue, therefore uchiha Sasuke is the winner. He was about to walk back to his team when Kakashi appeared behind him, "well, good job… before the lion combo your movements were that of guy's taijutsu…So you copied lee with the sharingan, huh?" Kakashi asked as Sasuke nodded, he was too tired to explain anything, "you did it, Sasuke-kun!" Naruko cheered, 'so, he can copy me with his sharingan. Your quite good at copying' Lee thought as he looked at Sasuke.
"Alright, kiddo, come with me. gotta get that mark sealed" Kakashi said as he began walking, "can't we wait till the other matches are over?" Sasuke asked as he wondered what Naruko would do to him, if he left now, "nope, the sooner we get this over with, the better" Kakashi said as he patted Sasuke on the back, "Oi! Where are you going, Sasuke!? You haven't watched my match yet!" Naruko yelled as Sasuke sighed, "I'll be back!" Sasuke said as they continued walking, Naruko noticed Sasuke rubbing the curse mark as he left, "stupid demonic Hickey!" Naruko exclaimed as hayate walked to the middle of the Feld, " *cough* now then… we will get right to it and begin the second match." Hayate said as the screen began shuffling through names, "abumi Zaku VS. Aburame shino" screen displayed, "ha, which weakling is that!?" Zaku asked as hayate cleared his throat, "both of you may come forward" hayate said as shino and zaku jumped down, "we will now begin" hayate said as he stepped back, "that guy has two broke arms! How's he supposed to fight!?" Naruko asked as Sakura sweat dropped, she knew why but she didn't want to tell her.
"I wonder if shino-kun will be ok" Hinata said as Kiba scoffed, "shino can easily beat that weakling. I mean look at him! Both of his arms are broken!" Kiba said as he boomed with laughter, "give up, you can't fight me with no arms" shino said as zaku raised one of his arms, "somehow, this one still works!" Zaku said as he ran at shino, he blocked a punch from Zaku, "let me correct myself, you can't beat me with just one arm" shino warned as zaku smirked, "zankūha! (Decapitating airwaves)" Zaku said as shino was shot back into a wall.
With Sasuke…
Sasuke was sitting in a circle with kanji written in blood surrounding him. He was shirtless with Kakashi writing with blood on his back, "hang in there. It'll be over soon." Kakashi said as he started going through hand signs, " fūja hōin (evil sealing method)" Kakashi said as he put his hand on the curse mark, and Sasuke screamed in pain as the kanji began circling around the mark. As the sealing finished Sasuke began breathing heavily, "next time, even if the mark starts kicking in the seal should suppress it. However the stronger your will, the sealer the seal will become, but if you stop trying to suppress it, the seal will not work" Kakashi said as Sasuke fainted, "huh, the boy was tired I guess" Kakashi said as he looked at the unconscious uchiha, "Kakashi-kun, seems you've learned sealing. I hope you've gotten stronger since we last met" Orochimaru said as Kakashi turned around, "you bastard…" Kakashi said as he looked at the Paedophile, "long time no see, Kakashi-kun" Orochimaru said as he walked forward.
Kakashi slipped into his defensive posture as Orochimaru chuckled, "sorry, but… I have no business with you, Kakashi-kun. But I do with the kid behind you" Orochimaru said as Kakashi looked at him with disgust, 'wasn't 72 children enough for you? Stupid paedo' Kakashi thought as Orochimaru walked closer, "why are you after Sasuke?!" Kakashi asked as Orochimaru licked his lips, "you already got it, right? I'm after the sharingan. The power of the uchiha clan" orochimaru said as a shiver went down Kakashi's spine, 'I don't think he's only after the sharingan' Kakashi thought, he was disgusted just thinking of it. (And no I'm not stopping the orochimaru slender. That guy is a Paedophile through and through)
Back to the battle…
As the dust cleared shino got up as bugs start crawling out of him, 'what kind of freak is this guy?' Zaku thought, he looked behind him and saw a Swarm of bugs, "these bugs are called, Kikaichū, they attack in groups and eat chakra. If they attack in this amount, you're dead, no mistake. I'll advise you give up" shino said as zaku gritted his teeth. Zaku with nothing but the power of his will raised his other arm at the bugs, "I'll not give up!" Zaku said as he smirked, "what?! He could already use his right arm?!" Kiba growled, 'not half bad, zaku' Dosu thought as zaku raised his left arm towards shino, "zankūha! (Decapitating airwaves)" Zaku said but nothing happened, "what?!" Zaku exclaimed as air began leaking out of his arms, and the pressure was continuously building inside his arms, "ZAKU! STOP THE JUTSU! YOU'LL BLOW OFF YOUR ARMS!" Dosu yelled as zaku stopped the jutsu. there were bugs crawling out of the tubes in his palms, "I'll again give you the chance to give up. You are out of options" shino said as zaku swung at him, but shino was faster knocking him out with one Swift punch. Hayate approached, "abumi Zaku is unable to continue. Aburame shino is the winner" hayate said as medic nin took away Zaku.
With Kakashi…
"The new the village,otogakura is my village. A village of loyal pawns who obey my every whim" orochimaru said as he smirked, "so, you want Sasuke as a pawn? Or are you gonna steal his eyes and use his body for unspeakable things?" Kakashi asked as Orochimaru waved him off, "Sasuke-kun isn't just a pawn, he's much more important…" orochimaru said as he stepped closer. Kakashi blurred through hand signs, and his hand was coated with lightning chakra, "don't you dare come any closer!" Kakashi threatened as Orochimaru began laughing, "you can't kill me, Kakashi-kun. Don't you remember our last meeting? And besides there's no point using that seal, that boy seeks power and is lonely enough for me to use him. He'll seek me out eventually" orochimaru said as he smirked, 'that boy isn't half as lonely as you think, but I'm not gonna correct you' Kakashi thought as Orochimaru disappeared
In the tower…
"What is that guy, neji?" Lee asked as neji used his Byakugan, "this guy is something else. I could understand him summoning bugs, but he harbours bugs inside and outside his body" Neji said as he required in shock, "his from the aburame clan, their clan specialises in using bugs" guy said as shino walked up to the stands, "how long do I have to wait for my match!?" Naruko exclaimed as hayate cleared his throat, "um, now then, let's get right into the next match. All of us are getting tired, so let's hurry up" hayate said as the screen started. Kakashi appeared behind his team, "yo!" Kakashi said as he waved, "Kakashi-sensei, were's Sasuke-kun? Is he alright?" Naruko asked worriedly as Kakashi waved her off, "he's soundly asleep in the infirmary, however with anbu watching over him" Kakashi assured but Naruko was still worried, the last time she saw Sasuke was when he left with Kakashi, holding the curse mark. "tsurugi Misumi VS. Kankuro" the screen displayed. Both Kankuro and Misumi jumped done as Hayate began the match
Misumi wrapped around Kankuro, "give up, I can break all your bones in one go" Misumi said as Kankuro chuckled, "I'm not giving up" Kankuro said as Misumi snapped his neck, "k-Kakashi-sensei, he just killed him" Sakura said as she and Naruko looked on in horror, "huh, should've given up, kid, but you didn't and I had to kill you" Misumi said as Kankuro chuckled, "Baka, I'm just a puppet" Kankuro said as several limbs burst out of Kankuro as they wrapped around Misumi. Kankuro was hiding inside the Bundle on the ground, "how about I break your bones?" Kankuro said a karasu began tightening around Misumi, "I-I give up!" Misumi said as Kankuro released karasu from his Control, the puppet and Misumi both fell to the ground as hayate stepped forward, "tsurugi Misumi has forfeit, Kankuro is the winner" hayate said as the medic nin took away Misumi.
"Two against one is hitting below the belt!" Naruko said as Sakura rolled her eyes, "says the girl who can make hundreds of clones" Sakura said as Naruko sheepishly rubbed her head, 'all of these guys are good at using chakra. I thought I was good, but these guys are on a different level' Sakura thought as the screen started up, "yamanaka Ino VS. Haruno Sakura" the screen displayed, (ah, yes the most pathetic match in naruto), "both of you may come forward" hayate said as Ino and Sakura jumped down, "good luck, Sakura!" Naruko said as Sakura and Ino stood facing each other, "I never thought I'd be fighting you, Sakura" Ino said as hayate started the match. They both ran at each other as they began battling it out in taijutsu, "come on, Sakura-Chan! Let your flames of youth burn!" Lee cheered, 'this match is more boring then guy VS. Obito' Kakashi thought as he chuckled to himself.
"Kakashi-sensei, what's so funny?" Naruko asked as Kakashi waved her off, "it's nothing, i was just reminiscing" Kakashi said with a nostalgic glaze in his eyes, "I'll beat you now then I'll beat that Naruko-Baka, and show I'm better to Sasuke-kun" Ino said as Sakura frowned, "you can try" Sakura said as Naruko's eye twitched, "why does every go after my boyfriend!?" Naruko exclaimed as Kakashi put a hand on his chin, "because the boy is an uchiha, or popular, or good looking. To be frank it can be all three or none of these" Kakashi said as Naruko sighed in dismay.

"Both participants are unable to continue, therefore this match is a tie" hayate said as Everyone unanimously facepalmed, "that was the biggest waste of time I've ever seen!" Naruko said as Kakashi nodded, "I'll have to agree with you on that one" Kakashi said as hayate cleared his throat, "ah, now then, let's get back to it" hayate said as the screen started up "Tenten VS. Temari" the screen displayed as temari and Tenten jumped down, 'I hope all konoha kunoichi aren't as pathetic as the last two' temari thought as hayate began the match, "Believe in your power! My youthful student!" Guy cheered as lee jumped along with him. Tenten began by throwing a bunch of shuriken and kunai at temari, but she dodged out of the way. Tenten then jumped into the air pulling out a scroll launching a variety of shurinken, kunai, knives, and really anything sharp, temari opened her fan to the firs star and blew the Sharp weapons flying at her.
"Come on! Just run at her! She's just got a fan, what's she gonna do? Hit you over the head with it!?" Naruko exclaimed as Tenten pulled out two more scrolls, "Naruko, it's no use, just let them fight" Kakashi said as he patted the blonde on the back, 'how does Sasuke keep up with her?' Kakashi thought as he watched the fight. Tenten threw the scrolls into the air, as the scrolls opened Tenten began a barrage of sharp weaponry, "alright! That's enough, I'm annoyed!" Temari said as she opened her fan to the third and final star, "Futon: Kamaitachi no Jutsu! (Sickle weasel)" Temari said as Tenten was swept up into a vortex. It started cutting Tenten's skin as she cried out, "Tenten-Chan!" Lee yelled as he and guy looked on. Tenten started falling as temari closed her fan under where Tenten was falling, Tenten's back slammed onto the the fan.
"T-that's horrible" Naruko said as hayate walked forward, "Tenten is unable to continue. Temari is the winner" hayate said as temari threw Tenten at a wall, only for Lee to catch her, "Who does such a thing to a defeated opponent!? How un-youthful!" Lee yelled as temari scoffed, "you're annoying, kid" temari said as Lee frowned, he didn't Usually hit women, but he was about to kick her head off. He put Tenten down as he got up, "Konoha shippuden! (Leaf Hurricane bullet)" Lee said as Guy appeared and caught the kick, "Lee, that's enough, let it go" Guy said as lee blowed his head, "yes, Guy-sensei" Lee said as temari joined her team, the screen started up as Naruko groaned impatiently, "come on! I've been waiting for so long!" Naruko yelled, "Nara Shikamaru VS. Tsuchi kin" the screen displayed, Naruko was about to explode with rage, "calm down, you've got all day" Kakashi said, he was having to calm her down since Sasuke wasn't here, he sighed as he pulled out his book.
Shikamaru and kin jumped down and got read as hayate began the match, Shikamaru tried catching her with his shadow, but she dodged and threw Several sinbon with tiny bells, and caught him in a sound based genjutsu. Then began throwing sinbon at him, "those sinbon aren't half as accurate as haku" Naruko mocked as the fight continued, Shikamaru then caught kin with his shadow and bashed her head against a wall, knocking her out. "Tsuchi kin is unable to continue. Nara Shikamaru is the winner" hayate said as Dosu sighed, "idiots, complete idiots, first zaku and now kin" dosu said as he facepalmed. Once more the screen started up as Naruko waited for her turn, " uzumaki naruko VS. Inuzuka Kiba" the screen displayed, and Naruko began jumping in excitement, "Finally! My turn! I've been waiting for so long!" Naruko exclaimed as Kakashi chuckled, "yeah, it's your turn, you better win" Kakashi said, "I'll win easily, battebayo!" Naruko said as she jumped down, 'she's a lot like obito, same Energy' Kakashi thought as he eye smiled.
Kiba scoffed as he faced off against Naruko, "wouldn't you look at that, the uchiha's fangirl, this gonna be an easy win" Kiba said as Naruko frowned, "I'll show you I'm no fangirl, mutt boy" Naruko said as Kiba growled as he let down akamaru," you don't even have to take part, akamaru, I'll do it myself" Kiba said, Hinata was confused on who to cheer on, Kiba was her teammate but Naruko was her best friend, 'kiba's strong that's no way she'll beat him' kurenai thought as hayate stepped forward and started the match "shikyaku no jutsu (four legs)" Kiba said as he got on all fours as his body took a more dog like appearance, "wow, now you really look like a mutt" Naruko mocked as she got into her fighting stance, Kiba ran at her as she dodged and slammed her foot down on his head, "well done, naruko-san! Your flames of youth burn bright!" Lee cheered as Kiba got up rubbing his face, "this isn't over!" Kiba growled as Naruko smirked, "your right, if you went down in one move, it wouldn't be fun" Naruko said as Kiba ran at her again trying to claw her, she grabbed his arm and punched him between the ribs, and threw him into a well.
Akamaru ran over to Kiba as he caught his breath, "well done, Naruko!" Sakura cheered, she had woken up a lit bit ago, "alright, akamaru let's go!" Kiba said as he and akamaru ran at Naruko, she dodged a punch from Kiba as akamaru bit down on her arm. Kiba taking the opening punched Naruko in the face, she stumbled back as she caught one of kiba's punch's as she punched Kiba into akamaru, knocking both of them to the ground. As kiba got up he gave akamaru a Military Rations Pill as he took one, "jujin bunshin! (Beast clone)" Kiba said as akamaru turned into a identical clone of Kiba, "this is getting out off hand. now there are two of them" Naruko said as both kiba's ran at her, they weren't fighting like humans, they were attacking like feral dogs. She was having a much harder time dodging, she grabbed one of the kiba's as she punched him in the throat, it turned back into akamaru as the dog began coughing, "Akamaru!" Kiba yelled as he ran at Naruko, he clawed her cheek as she jumped back, " gatsūga! (Fang over fang)" Kiba said as he began spinning at high speed like a drill, and launched at Naruko,
She quickly made a clone that threw her above the attack as kiba ploughed through the clone. As the attack stopped Naruko spun into an axe and slammed her leg down on kiba's head, Kiba fell unconscious as hayate stepped forward, "Inuzuka Kiba is unable to continue. Uzumaki Naruko is the winner" hayate said, "well done, Naruko!", "you have shown the power of your youth, Naruko-san!" Sakura and lee cheered as Naruko grinned as she jumped up, "that was some nice work, Naruko" Kakashi said as he eye smiled, "ah, Sasuke-kun isn't going to like this claw mark" Naruko said as the wound began healing, Sakura looked on in confusion as the once bloody wound was now barely a mark, 'the power of the kyubi never ceases to amaze me' Kakashi thought as the screen started up,
"Hyūga neji VS. Hyūga Hinata" the screen displayed as Hinata paled, 'this match is going to be interesting' hiruzen thought as neji and Hinata faced each other, "I never thought that I would have a fight with you, Hinata-sama" Neji said as he glared at Hinata, "Neji nii-san…" Hinata said as Sakura stared in confusion, "nii-san? Are they siblings?" Sakura asked as Naruko shook her head, "no, neji is her cousin" Naruko said as Kakashi nodded, "correct, Naruko, but he's a member of the branch family and she's part of the main family" Kakashi said as Naruko frowned, "what's the point of having two families? Your part of the same clan, no?" Naruko said as Kakashi nodded, clan traditions were confusing, but thankfully he was the last of his clan.
"You're too soft, your always looking for harmony and peace, and the truth is your not cut out to be a chunin" Neji said, Hinata was getting disheartened by every word, "I-I'm trying to change, to become stronger, not to run anymore" Hinata said as neji scoffed, "people can never change! A failure will always be a failure. That personality and strength won't change. There are *elite* and there are * failures* based on the value of their name and brain, ability and body. Good and bad points of the person. People suffer just like me, the branch family, meanwhile you, the main family are seen as *elite* looked up to, respected. These things can't change" Neji finished his monologue and Hinata was on the verge of tears, "you don't have the right of deciding what a person is like, Baka! You show him, Hinata-Chan!" Naruko yelled as she glared at Neji, 'the expression in her eyes have changed' Neji thought as he stared at Hinata, "your not giving up, are you, Hinata-sama?" Neji asked as Hinata activated her byakugan, "very well, I'll have to show you the hard way" Neji said as hayate began the match.
Both of them ran at each other, Hinata was able to keep up with Neji as they were locked in heated taijutsu, "it's truly amazing to see two Hyuga in combat" Lee said as all of them looked on in amazement at the masterful taijutsu battle, 'I can almost feel the tension Bubbling off of Hinata-chan' Naruko thought as she frowned. Hinata went for the attack, but her attempt was deflected and neji hit her Square in the chest with his Jūken, 'as I thought that was the extent of that…" Neji thought as Hinata tried again, only for neji to grab her arm and hit a tenketsu on it, Hinata tried to move her arm but there was no feeling in it. Neji rolled up her sleeve to show how many tenketsu he had hit over the course of the match. Neji he push her to the ground as he stood tall above her, "Hinata-sama, what we have here is an unchangeable difference in power. It's what distinguishes the elite from the failure. As you said you won't run anymore but if you don't I'll have to put you down by force. That's your ultimatum!" Neji said as Hinata slowly got up, "I-I meant every word! I won't run anymore!" Hinata said as neji took up his stance again, "very well. I'll have to show you, that your a failure with big dreams" Neji said as Hinata coughed up blood from the earlier jūken strike to her chest.
'That boy is going to kill, I can see it in his eyes' Kakashi thought, "come on, Hinata-Chan you can do it!" Naruko yelled as Kakashi facepalmed, 'don't do that, your just cheering the girl to her death' Kakashi thought as Hinata ran at neji, and he once again pushed her back as she coughed up more blood, and again she ran at neji, he was getting annoyed, so he slammed his palm into her chest. And as expected she fell to the ground as neji scoffed, "you just don't get it, do you? Your strikes were ineffective, because there was no chakra in your attacks. It's the end of the road, Hinata-sama" Neji said mockingly as he started walking away, 'please just stay down, if you get up your gonna die' Kakashi thought as Naruko bubbled with rage, "Neji's last attack went for the heart, I fell sorry for the girl" Guy said, his words adding to Naruko's rage.
Hayate walked in front of Hinata, "Hyuga Hinata is unable to continu-" hayate was cut of by Naruko, "Don't stop the match yet, dattebayo!" Naruko yelled, "what on Earth are you doing, Naruko!?" Sakura asked as Hinata slowly began getting up, "oh sweet kami, what have you done, Naruko!?" Kakashi asked as his eye widened, 'no way, not again!' Neji thought as he stared in disbelief as Hinata shakily stood up, "why do you stand up!? If you continue like this, you'll die!" Neji said as he glared at Hinata, this was getting boring and annoying, "people can't change! Is it that hard to believe?!" Neji asked as Hinata nodded, that nod set him off all the wrong ways. He ran at Hinata, but before he could get to her, nearly every single jonin stopped him, "Neji, you promised me you wouldn't let your family problems get you riled up" Guy said as he held neji, "why are the jonin stopping me?! The heiress gets special treatment, eh?!" Neji growled, the full extent of Hinata's injuries get her, she fell to the floor as Naruko and kurenai ran over, "and you, I'll give you two pieces of advice, stop that revolting cheering of yours. And second… a failure will always be a failure. There's no changing it" Neji said as Naruko glared at him, "You want to see about that?" Naruko said as she got up, but before she could do anything Lee Stopped her.
"Naruko-san, I get where you're coming from, believe me. But all fighting must be done in a official match! The failure beats the gifted through sheer effort." Lee said as Naruko gritted her teeth, "it would be best of you find her a medic, and fast" Neji said as Hinata began coughing up more blood, hayate Signalled the medic nin to come and take Hinata. As the nin took away Hinata, Naruko wiped up some of Hinata blood, "I promise, Hinata-Chan, I'll beat this guy!" Naruko said as Neji scoffed. "Alright everyone, back to the stands" hayate said as the screen started up, "rock Lee VS. Garaa" the screen displayed as lee and Guy jumped in excitement, "go show them how strong you are, Lee!" Guy said, "yosh! Guy sensei!" Lee said as guy pulled him closer, "one piece of advice, Lee, that gourd is suspicious, keep an eye on it" Guy said as lee nodded, "Guy, your wasting time" Kakashi said as lee jumped down, "I am very happy to be matching off with you" Lee said as he got into his fighting stance.
"Lee's strong…he was fast enough to beat Sasuke-kun" Naruko said as Sakura nodded. "Now then. Let's begin" hayate said as he stepped back, "Konoha shippuden! (Leaf Hurricane bullet)" Lee said, but his kick was blocked by a wall of sand, he jumped back as the wall of sand fell. This went on for a little while, Lee would run at garaa but all his attacks would be blocked, and then he had to dodge.
"Come on, lee, you can do it!" Sakura cheered, 'Sakura-Chan is cheering me on! I can't let her down!' Lee thought as he dodged as wave of sand, "why doesn't he use any ninjutsu? Taijutsu isn't working" Naruko said as Guy shook his head, "he can't, he has no ability to use ninjutsu or genjutsu. So I trained him in pure taijutsu, it was the only way he could become a ninja" guy said as Sakura stared at Lee, surprised, "Lee! You can take them off!" Guy yelled as lee hesitated, "B-but Guy sensei… you told me only to take them off to protect-" Lee was cut off by Guy, "I give you permission!" Guy said as he gave lee a thumbs up, Lee grinned as he held his ankle weights, "are those… weights?" Naruko asked as Guy nodded. "Huh, does he think that'll help him?" Temari mockingly asked as Lee dropped the weights, making an explosion and causing the building the shake, everyone stared in disbelief as Kakashi sighed, "a bit extreme, isn't it, Guy?" Kakashi asked as Guy grinned, "it's nothing compared to mine!" Guy said as he show his weights, which were bigger. Kakashi started to sweat.
"Go, lee!" Guy yelled as lee disappeared, and appeared behind garaa, the sand barely got in time to stop lees punch. Lee continued as garaa barely defended him self. lee jumped up and slammed his leg down on garaa, hitting him. "No way garaa got hit!" Kankuro said in disbelief as lee punched garaa across the face, "get job, lee!" Sakura cheered as garaa got up, his sand armour crumbling off his face, "his face is crumbling off?!" Naruko asked as Kakashi shook his head, "no, it's sand that covered his face" Kakashi said as garaa maniacally grinned, his bloodlust was getting the better of him. The sand again reformed around his face as the grin disappeared, 'he avoided all damage, I'll have to use the lotus!' Lee thought as he unwrapped his bandages. He ran at garaa and began speeding up, "Konoha shippuden! (Leaf Hurricane bullet)" Lee said as he kicked garaa into the air, 'Lee, the lotus is very taxing, please let this be the Final blow!' Guy thought as Lee's bandages begin wrapping around garaa, "omote renge! (Front lotus)" Lee said as he slammed garaa into the ground.
Lee jumped out of the dust as he looked at the supposedly defeated garaa, "well done, lee!" Guy said as hayate approached garaa, as hayate looked closer garaa began crumbling into sand, "w-what?!" Lee asked as garaa appeared behind lee. A wave of sand hit lee, he couldn't dodge because of the lotus, he dodged what he could and blocked the rest, "garaa's toying with him" Kankuro said as lee blocked at wave of sand, "go ahead, lee! You can use them!" Guy said as lee grinned, "Thank you, Guy sensei!" Lee said as he opened the first gate, " Of course you taught him the inner gates" Kakashi said as he reviled his sharingan, he would need it if he wanted to see the battle. Lee ran at garaa, but his attacks were still too slow, so he did the only reasonable thing…he opened the third gate…then the fourth gate, he then ran at garaa as the ground under him shattered, "konoha shippuden! (Leaf Hurricane bullet)" Lee said as he kicked garaa, instantly cracking the sand armour. The following attacks were two fast for garaa's sand to block, lee kick garaa into the air as he opened the fifth gate, "Ura renge! (Reverse lotus)" lee said as he slammed garaa into the ground.
Lee fell to the ground exhausted, "well done, lee!" Sakura cheered. As the dust cleared garaa was on the ground, he had turned his gourd into sand to cushion his fall, and even with that he nearly died. Garaa raised his hand as sand covered and wrapped around lee's left leg and arm, "sabaku kyū! (Sand coffin)" garaa said as he crushed the limbs, lee cried out in pain as he fell unconscious. More sand was about to cover lee, but Guy jumped in and stopped the attack, "w-why did you save him?" Garaa asked, "he's my precious student, who I care about" Guy said as garaa's eye twitched, 'who I care about' the words Echoed in garaa's head As he got up and began walkin, "rock Lee is unable to con-" hayate stopped as lee got up, 'he opened the fifth gate, and had two of his limbs crushed, there's no way he should be able to get up!' Kakashi thought as Guy tearfully hugged lee, "it's over, lee. You've made me proud, even though you were injured you got up" Guy said. Sakura was about to jump down and go to lee, but Kakashi put a hand on her shoulder, "Sakura, if you go down, your words of encouragement would only make him feel worse" Kakashi said as Sakura stopped.
"Rock lee is unable to continue. Garaa is the winner" hayate called the match as several medic nin ran to lee and Guy. They did checked Lee's injuries, a medic nin walked over to Guy with a Solomon look, "his injuries are too severe. He might have to give up life as a shinobi" the nin said as Guy Sadly nodded, "the boy risked his life for his dream" Kakashi said as Sakura and Naruko nodded.
