In Your Arms

Kotori puts a hand up to her mouth to cover a rather long yawn before she stretches and makes to get in bed. It's been a long day in school, with the lengthy lectures and projects at hand, all she wanted to do was let the comforts of the bed steal her exhaustion away and for a certain pair of warm arms to take her worries away.

But when the ash-brunette lifts the blanket up, she pouts at the gingerhead looking up at her. "Mm~ Honoka-chan…~ Move over so I can get in bed too~" Kotori whines.

You're cute looking at me from there. But I really want to be in bed too.

Honoka grins up at her girlfriend cheekily. "Hehe~ (heart) I was just warming up your spot of the bed for you, Kotori-chan!" And with that, the gingerhead rolls to her side of the bed a big exaggerated motion, bringing the entire blanket with her.

"Ah!" Kotori gasps softly when the blanket leaves her hand and her girlfriend was now a blanket burrito. "H-Honoka-chan~~"

Now you make me feel like taking a picture of this to sketch later. But!

The designer student hurriedly crawls into bed before her whimsical girlfriend decides to roll over again; loving to get whines out of her, saying she's cute while Kotori denies out of embarrassment. "Let me have some of the blanket too, Honoka-chan~"

I want to be under the same blanket as you again tonight…

Honoka chuckles and Kotori feels her heart skip a beat. Honoka beams and Kotori had to consciously remember to breathe. Honoka unrolls herself and stretches the blanket across to tuck Kotori in before she grins at the ash-brunette that mix of teasing and loving.

Mou… Honoka-chan is just too cute!

Kotori daringly places her hand on Honoka's waist to hold her as she shuffles closer, their faces close. Kotori sighs at the warmth spreading across her; the warmth of the bed and blanket, the warmth Honoka provided from lying on her spot earlier, the warmth of Honoka's body and the warmth on her glowing cheeks. All such a comfortable warmth. Honoka makes her comfortable.

Honoka-chan…

Kotori's eyes began to flutter shut, the day's events placed to the back of her mind as her subconscious slowly takes over. She doesn't fall asleep right away only because she felt hands snake its way around her own waist causing her heart to drum quicker.

"Honoka-chan..?" Kotori asks softly, opening her eyes a little.

She was met with Honoka's kind and gentle smile. "Sorry, Kotori-chan. I wanna hug you too…but I didn't mean to wake you."

Honoka-chan…

Kotori shakes her head, blinks once and slow before moves her head so their foreheads touch. "I want to hear your voice a little more too…so thank you for waking me…"

Honoka-chan~

The gingerhead couldn't help the large smile to grow on her from how adorable and tender her girlfriend was being. She managed to keep in a squeal by pulling Kotori closer in her embrace. "I love you, Kotori-chan~"

..! Honoka-chan~! I love you too!

Kotori keeps her eyes closed this time, though she nods as a response, adding a soft "Mm…" seemingly drowsily.

"Is there anything you want to hear me say?" Honoka moves her hand up Kotori's back and onto the ash-brunette's silky tresses to caress. "You mentioned wanting to hear my voice after all…" Honoka bites her bottom lip in anticipation and an attempt to calm her own racing heart.

Mouuuu! Honoka-chan, how are you so sweet and cute! Such a cute question~

"Mm…" Kotori sounds again; thoughtfully. "Anything…you say is…Will make me happy, Honoka-chan~" The ash-brunette sighs blissfully from the feeling of Honoka's fingers in her hair.

Anything you say…is music to my ears~

Honoka smiles blushingly, glad that Kotori was being sleepy and not looking at her face's current state of embarrassment. "I love you, Kotori-chan. I love you a lot. And well…I hope you know that." Honoka whispers the last one, her little insecurities leaking.

Kotori's hand around Honoka gives her girlfriend a reassuring squeeze. "I know~ And I love you a lot too, Honoka-chan…"

So, so much.

Honoka breathes out through her nose; it blows onto Kotori's face but she doesn't mind one bit. That breath tells her that Honoka is relieved to hear what she reaffirmed. Kotori peeks at Honoka's face before she closes her eyes again.

"Ne, Honoka-chan…"

"Y-Yeah?"

Kotori giggles soft at Honoka's stammer. "Could you steal a kiss for me?"

"Steal a k-kiss?" Kotori could tell that Honoka was blinking many times without looking.

"Mmph! From me~" Kotori sing-songs as she moves her head up to emphasise her lips.

A good night kiss~ An "I love you" kiss~ Honoka-chan~

Honoka gulps, her cheeks aflame all the way up to her ears as she blinks nervously, her heart drumming erratically. Her hand on Kotori's head shifting back down to the ash-brunette's back.

And she leans in. Eyes closed. Lips met.

"Mm…" Honoka pulls away for breath. "Kotori-chan…"

"Hehe~" Kotori nuzzles against Honoka. "Good night, Honoka-chan~"

Honoka breathes out her nose noisily, still flustered. "Good night…" She grumbles but falls asleep with Kotori in her arms soon after, a smile gracing her face.
