a gentle kiss I love you

Homework was what they should be doing.

A math assignment as Honoka's thinking out loud groans indicate.

However, the distracted one this evening wasn't the bad-at-math gingerhead. It wasn't the short attention span for math Honoka.

It was Kotori who couldn't keep her eyes from looking away from the papers on the desk to steal glances and long stares at her best friend sitting adjacent to her.

Honoka-chan…

Golden eyes linger on Honoka's blue hues that were trained towards the numbers and symbols Kotori would love to help her girlfriend with but was a little too preoccupied to do so.

Honoka-chan…pretty…

Kotori's gaze moves a little lower, catching the tiny shifts in Honoka's cheek as the gingerhead moved her pouts from left to right, thinking about x, y, z and various formulas that were foreign to her.

Honoka-chan…

Kotori blinks and swallows as her eyes now rested on Honoka's lips – an enticing pink and plump from the way Honoka juts it out indignant about the homework.

I want to…

Kotori licks her lips subconsciously. She doesn't even know when she moved from her spot but when she realizes what's going on too, she was close and beside Honoka, a hand placed over the gingerhead's left hand. Warm.

Honoka looks over, wondering what's up.

I want to kiss her.

Kotori stares right at Honoka's lips facing directly at her.

Right in front of her face.

Kotori blinks.

Kotori blinks again and leans back ever the slightest, just noticing that Honoka is looking at her.

"H-Honoka-chan…" Kotori lowers her head shyly.

"Mm?"

I want to…

"…kiss you." Kotori says quietly, her eyes helping her convey her thoughts instead.

Honoka subtly closes her eyes and Kotori lets the natural attraction between them happen as she closes her eyes too and her body leans over, their lips overlapping as soft as a feather's touch.

"Mm…"

Honoka-chan's lips are just so soft…

"I love you" tumbled out of Kotori unintentionally and the ash-brunette's eyes widen in surprise.

Honoka giggles happy but softly. "I love you too."

Honoka's zero hesitance in returning a love declaration sends a wave of warmth through Kotori and she moves closer, pressing their lips together once again before pulling back as quickly. "Sorry, I-"

"I don't mind." Honoka smiles and shifts their intertwined fingers closer, reassuringly. "Kiss me the way you like to, Kotori-chan…I like it when you do."

Kotori's blush deepens and her heart soars and she doesn't hold back anymore as she connects their lips once again, kissing her girlfriend passionately. Kotori's love for Honoka simply cannot be concealed.

I love you, Honoka-chan..! So much. So, so much.

Kotori kisses Honoka for a long time; her lips nibbling the gingerhead's bottom lip in various angles and various levels of intensity. Her free hand moving from its place on Honoka's thigh to the waist and then onto Honoka's back, gripping the gingerhead's shirt tight.

Honoka mews cutely into the kiss and has long shifted her body to fully face Kotori; whatever assignment she was trying to solve forgotten as she thoroughly enjoys the kiss she was sharing with her girlfriend.

"K-Kotori-chan…" Honoka calls in between kissing.

"Mm…Honoka-chan…" Kotori breathes, pants, but doesn't pull away.

"I love you…" Honoka says the exact emotion Kotori was feeling too.

"I love you too!" A giggle bubbles out of Kotori as she gave one last big smooch to her girlfriend before having to end their little, not entirely impromptu kiss session.

The rest of the evening for Honoka and Kotori was spent staring in each other's eyes and giggling, loving.
