Sweet Messages
Dim lights, a fortress of books and papers scattered across the desk and floors surrounds the redhead, university sophomore in medical sciences, Nishikino Maki subconsciously tucks her hair behind her left ear as she read through her materials for the upcoming tests.
A buzz interrupts the ticking of the watch buried under the papers somewhere. Maki sighs, barely gives her phone a glance, seeing the light illuminate from behind another set of papers before the light disappears.
It took only three seconds for violet eyes to go back to the papers where her phone was under.
Maki…had few friends. And she also sent a message to the Muse group chat telling them to not spam with cute dogs, cats, cheesecakes, rice and discipline quotes for the duration of her exams. Which means the chat was pretty much dead. Which also means…
Maki slides the papers aside and pressed the button to get the phone to light up, showing that it was the one and only Yazawa Nico messaging her.
Maki bit her bottom lip to stop her smile; she couldn't help it okay? A text message from her girlfriend makes her happy!
Nico: I'm cooking food :3
Maki reads the line another three times before she could no longer conceal her grin and she closes her thick medical book. Nimble fingers texting back.
Maki: So?
Nico: you know you want me~ ;)
Maki almost drops her phone as she was half putting on her coat, half opening the doors and also looking at her messages, not expecting Nico to reply that quickly. An embarrassed, spluttering expression she was glad her girlfriend wasn't able to catch spread across her face.
"Mou…Nico-chan!" Maki complains aloud, face a tomato red.
Maki: Food. I want the food. I'll be there in a bit.
Nico: ღゝw l )ノ (heart) and I'll be here waiting for you, darling~
Maki sighs wistfully as she closes the door. Her travel to Nico's apartment was one in which her heart was soaring and her lips was smiling; Nico's food and Nico could make any busy, stressful studying session turn upside down, right side up.
I guess Maki could say…it's her Universe's No.1 Girlfriend's Magic.
Not that she'll ever admit that out loud for a certain cute but egoistic idol to hear.
