Cold Outside, Warm Inside
"H-H-Hurry overrr, K-Kanan-chaaann…" You pulls the triple blankets of varying thickness draped over her shoulders closer to her, yearning any amount of warmth she could obtain as teeth clattered for her girlfriend's cuddles.
Kanan simply chuckles, a slight shiver could be heard if You was paying attention. But the cold on her skin, the fire cackling to life, and Kanan's behind was all the ash-brunette could process. "You wouldn't be this cold if you didn't insist on making snow angels, You."
You manages a pout when Kanan looked over with her always-cool smile, before she returned to teeth chattering and hands shaking. "J-Just…come over 'ere… already, K-Kanan-chan… achoo! Uu…" You breathes out and she swears there was cold air.
Kanan shakes her head lightly at her girlfriend. "I'll be right back."
"Eh!? I want y-your hu-ugs, Kanan-chan! Are you going t-to let your partner die?" You complains as she rubbed her socks-covered feet together, half-glaring-half-pleading to the back of the diver's head.
Kanan disappeared for only two minutes, returning with two mugs of something that had smoke coming out of them. The blue haired diver places them down a safe distance beside them as she takes her place beside her shivering You.
"Someone ordered a hug?"
"More than a hug." You moved her hands to wrap them around Kanan but they were all under the much-needed blankets she was shivering under, You pouts, not liking that she had to choose between sacrificing the warm blankets or Kanan's waiting arms.
"I think you stayed in the snow for too long."
You blinks, she might have gotten a literal brain freeze from the extended period of time laughing in the fresh snow outside she and Kanan made many snow angels in.
Kanan unravelled the blanket-wrap called Watanabe You, ignoring the weak protests and in a smooth motion, she pulls You between her legs, embracing her fully as she wraps the blanket back around You and her arms going around the swimmer's torso.
"Warm?" Kanan asks near You's ear.
You nuzzles backwards into Kanan. "Mmph… Warm…"
"Good. We've got hot chocolate when you're ready to warm your insides too." Kanan rubs You's stomach absentmindedly, humming at the comfortable silence, wondering if You fell asleep.
"…Kanan-chan."
"Yeah?"
You places her hand over Kanan's arm, relishing in feeling Kanan's body temperature transfer to her hands. "Nothing."
Kanan chuckles and presses her lips to the side of You's face, knowingly increasing You's body temperature while being rewarded with a red-faced You.
"Mou…"
"Warmer?"
"You already know…"
"I want to hear it from you." Kanan says as she leans closer.
You wiggles in Kanan's arms. "…Warmer…"
Kanan grins and relaxes her head to You's. It's cold outside but it's warm inside, just the way Kanan and You likes it.
