Ohirume: *crosses arms* My Origin Block concept does have a hint of truth behind it. It means that people can't interfere with canons or another's work without permission.
Canon crossovers are because of creators collaborating. Fan-made crossovers are the result of people creating copies of the originals and doing whatever they want.
I know that Trix's and all of my other OCs don't use the actual canons. The worlds used are all copies of the originals that range from incomparable to near identical.
Every fan made piece of media is the result of people creating copies. But none of us can touch the originals in the real sense. If someone actually does, I congratulate them for such an accomplishment in their career in the media business.
Other people's works of fan-media are susceptible of interaction from others. But they still need permission from the author. It happens all the time.
THAT is the Origin Block. We can't mess with what isn't ours. Not in a real way.
You can't mess with mine without permission and I can't mess with yours without permission. We can create copies of each other's concepts, but that's it.
As for the dimensions with no block and the one with a hard block ... yeah, they probably exist in some way.
I never claimed that the Origin Block was a truly absolute concept. Because in the total grand scheme, there are no absolutes.
And before you argue that comment responses violate the Block, it's not consistent from person to person. It depends on their definition of 'interfere'.
I never have and likely never will have a problem with communication. And direct interaction with my OCs -aside from Trix- is something I rarely deny.
Influencing Trix's world takes some collaboration, though. If someone else wants their character and/or idea to be included, I hear them out. Often in a Private Message session.
But jumping into Trix without permission is a hard 'no'.

I never saw the episode but in my opinion this was a great chapter. To be honest, the Polygon issue messed up my viewing so badly I don't even remember Ash visiting the last two gyms and picked up again as they arrived at the League registration and meeting Richie, I am so looking forward to your take on that encounter.

Since in a way linked moves are a thing in your fic, couldn't they use agility (or Sunny Day) solar beam to fire quicker?
Ohirume: *chuckles sheepishly and rubs back of head* Sorry, I'm afraid that's not the case. Link Attacks don't exist in the Pokémon Trix continuity ... at least, not to that extent.
Faux: *smiles* Link Attacks are about using multiple attacks at the exact same time. The result ranges from a mash-up of the attacks to something new entirely.
*holds out claw* For example, *grins* Link Attack! Night Sphere! *claw flares from Night Daze as an Aura Sphere appears on the Dark-type attack* The attack also adopts a new name from the parts.
Luke: *pulls Bone Rush off back* And it is not entirely exclusive to the build process.
*holds out staff and eyes narrow* Link Attack! Metal Rush! *Metal Claw immediately juts out of Bone Rush tip; creating a spear. Props spear against shoulder* This would be an example of the unnatural combination.
Seishin: What the Pokémon in Trix's world are doing is just putting the attacks together. Like in the anime. It may not sound different, but it is.
Pike: *raises digit on paw* The difference is that they're creating the attacks separately. Bulbasaur's Hidden Powder is done by setting up Sleep Powder in his bulb and then creating a Hidden Power around it before firing. Trix calling out "Hidden Powder" is just him giving a code-like command.
Laura: *smiles and nods* It's the same with Soot's explosive 'Will O' Wisp' and Trix's Refrigerated Hyper Voice. They set up the Fang move before unleashing/creating the other part. This is also why Soot's "Will O' Wisp" only ever forms in her mouth.
Ohirume: *raises finger* Now, I'll admit that a Pokémon in Trix's story could do something immediately before starting Solar Beam to assist with the speed up. Because consecutive attacks are a thing, unlike in the mainstream games. But, unfortunately, a speed-bumping move wouldn't be something that can help with that.
The reason Bulbasaur can't do this is because he doesn't know Sunny Day or another move to help. Because of my four-move-limit concept, he'd have to forget one of his current moves to learn something that can help.
Also sorry for the "can't wait to read next chapter", I was excited.

Yugo: The original plan was for Trix to gain about one new form per region/large journey. Meaning everyone would've had to wait until an undetermined time in the Orange Islands.

*shrugs* The timing won't be 100% consistent, but I think I'll make it more frequent than Plan A. *waves hands* But not frequent enough that it happens every few chapters. Next one won't be soon.

Ohirume: Remember that Team Rocket only had an eyelash to work with and the other guys ... well, I doubt they had a perfect sample or Mew there with them.
Mew was undoubtably the basis and their DNA was involved, but it's very likely that there were some gaps to fill in. Hence why mewtwo are 6 times Mew's height.
Mizuro: So it's a little like the Indominous from Jurassic Park?

Well, I can't really say my opinion on the original episode, since I haven't seen it. But from what you said about it in the bold text, I'd say this was an improvement. Overall, it's a fine chapter. Nothing too special, but enough for me to enjoy it.

I will say, it was kind of a surprise seeing Goop appear and not Rath, considering he was the most requested alien in the comments.
Ohirume: Oh, Rath's still in the running to show up ... eventually. The 'when' is the main undecided factor.
Not that I'm complaining though. I also like how his personality is "overconfident about defenses". Much better than what I came up with, that's for sure.

I'm also glad that it's the UAF version and not the OV version. Look, I'm not one to bash OV's designs, since it's the show other than the original to get me in the series, but seriously what were they thinking.

Speaking of which, if Rath were to appear in this, would he have clothing? I'm not talking about his OV design, just asking if he would have some clothing. The reason why I ask is because in OV they established that appoplexians were clothes. Well, unless you pull the whole, "Different Dimensions, Different Definitions" shtick.
Ohirume: I looked into it and -while you are correct about Appoplexians canonically wearing clothes- there was a factor that added the outfit onto Rath later in Omniverse. That factor was the Slimebiote, Skurd.
Skurd realized that thing about Rath not being clothed was an error in the Omnitrix and fixed it. Whether he found out about this from the watch 'telling' him or had prior knowledge about the species ... I don't know.
Put simply, it is a canon error that was present in both the original Omnitrix/Ultimatrix and in the new one. If Trix realizes this and wants to fix it, then Rath gets an outfit.

At this rate the entire of Kanto is going to know about the omnitrix and Ash and everyone will keep quiet because they believe they are the only ones who know. Maybe in the future they should be a bit more cautious. If this photographer managed to get a capture of Ash without him noticing, then someone else could have captured them mid-transformation. They probably can't do anything about the bright green flash at the moment (or maybe they could?), maybe concealing the watch both when human and when transformed, it's the main giveaway that Ash and the Phantom Pokémon are related.
Faux: *scratches back of head* Um, not really … to the connection thing.
Ohirume: The cover story about Trix encountering the Phantom is already public.
No one has made the connection between Trix's watch and the Pokémon he can turn into. Nor does anyone think that the 'green symbol Pokémon' are the Phantom.
And, even if they notice them, they wouldn't assume that Trix is the Phantom or that the watch allows him to transform into Pokémon.
Pike: *raised digit on paw* Because that's a hairbrained idea.
Luke: Team Rocket only believes Trix is the Phantom because they have a human speaking Pokémon that heard him talk in a Pokémon form. His voice sounds the same in each Pokémon form … when someone can understand him.
They are still oblivious to the watch being a factor.

Maybe it's because I wan't the biggest fans of the episodes, but I just didn't care for this double episode chapter. Some stuff was cool like when Officer Jenny and Will used the lens, the battle between Soot and Aerodactyl, and the scene where Ash talks with Will about using the lens. PS: I would really like to see ash get blitzwolfer/benwolf (or should I say, ashwolf at that) along with big chill for the omnitrix. I think they could be potentially useful and fun for the story; however, this is just a suggestion. If you do decide to use either of them, I think a good idea for the personality glitches would be as follows.

Blitzwolfer: would have more canine/dog like behavior in more relaxed circumstances and would have increased aggression in dangerous scenarios such as times when his friends are in danger. The canine/dog like behavior would obviously be quite humorous and potentially endearing (ash would never hear the end of it lol), while the aggression would serve as a great addition to his already high-level intimidation and would make this form a powerful offensive form. The aggression wouldn't be as high as Rath's though.
Ohirume: *blinks with hand to chin* Huh. Yeah, I can definitely see that. I'll take it into consideration.

Big chill: all around chilly personality and would probably make ice puns. Would also likely be very fluid and elegant in motion, moving much more akin to a graceful dancer as opposed to overheat's more flashy and acrobatic style. Very much like fire and ice.

Once again, this is just a suggestion. I just wanted to put forward some personal ideas that you could take and use if you wanted. It is your fan fiction and I'm not going to be pushy and say, "this has to be in here."

Really did like how this one highlighted just how much Soot and Ash are knowledgeable on poekemon and battling. Yes, I'm aware that this was shown in other chapters, but still.
Omega: *snickers and points thumb at Faux and Gem* Yeah. From what I've heard, it blows their performances out of the water.

With that being said, there was one flaw I did have with the chapter, being the reveal of the pokemon that Soot was using were the same species that the tRio had. Didn't really see the need to hide something that would be known in a few scrolls later.

Never really guessed that Ash would get an arbok though. Also, we're the whole arbok patterns thing reflecting their stats something you came up with, or was it something you took from the fact that Arbok has been seen with different patterns on their chest from game to game?
Seishin: *nerd glasses and lisp voice* Uh, actually, it was presented in the Pokémon Adventures manga. Agatha repeatedly changed the hood of her arbok mid-battle during smokescreens. This caused Arbok's abilities to change.
Ohirume: *pops into frame; raised finger* Which is bull****. *ducks out of view*
Yugo: *raises finger* The idea Rob spun it to was one where these designs cause an arbok's stats to differ from the base. Like how pumpkaboo and gourgeist stats differ depending on their birth-size. The variant forms are merely less common than the standard/Regenerative arbok hood. Which is why we only ever see that hood in the anime.
Ohirume: Why did I do this? *shrugs* Well, I thought it'd be a nice way to spice up Arbok. Both Ash's and the species. The anime never explored this outside of the Japanese-only segment(s) "Professor Oak's Pokémon Lecture." This is also how I got the coloration for the hood(s).
Seishin: *normal voice; no glasses* This is what Dawn meant when she talked about knowing Oak because of poetry. He'd do a senryū (haiku-like poem) in every segment.

"HEEEEY!" Someone called out happily.
Ash immediately jerked upon recognizing the voice and looked behind him and into the sky in shock. Team Rocket followed his gaze and stared in surprise.
High in the air, Timmy was riding on Charizard's back and waving excitedly. Charizard was smiling nervously and waving. He descended to land behind Ash.
Ash stared in pure shock before blurting out, "Charizard?! What the Yvel are you doing?! Why did you bring Timmy here?!"
Jessie glared at them, "We're kind of in the middle of something here!"
Ash's eyes twitched before he took a deep breath and raised a finger, "Actually, before you answer that." He looked back at the tRio with a bored expression and pointed, "Dragon Rage and Air Slash."
The Rocket's eyes widened when the pseudo-fireball and a swarm of glowing blue circular saws shot from the Flame Pokémon directly at them. James pointed a pokéball to his Fire-type and returned him right before the attacks struck.
"We're blasting off, again!" The Rocketrio cried out as they shot into the air.
Timmy stared up at them in surprise.
Ash looked back at Charizard, "Okay, now explain."
Charizard sighed, "He begged me to bring him to help find the others. He kept talking about this being his fault and feeling like he had to help." He slumped his head forward, "I couldn't bring myself to say no…"
Ash frowned and looked at the kid on his Fire/Flying-types back. He took a deep breath and looked back at his Pokémon, "It's okay. I'm not mad." He pointed at him, "Just keep Timmy safe until we get back to the school, alright?"
Charizard looked at Ash again, smiled, and nodded, "Right."
Ash smiled back. Timmy looked up at Ash in confusion.
"Timmy." Ash said; catching the boy's attention. The trainer pointed and spoke in a serious tone, "No matter what happens, stay with Charizard. Do I make myself clear?"
Timmy tensed up slightly and nodded, "Y- yes sir."
Ash smiled and nodded, "Good." He looked at Charizard and gestured for him to follow, "Now, come on. Everyone else went after went after the k-"
"THOMAS!" Reiko cried out from ahead.
Ash, Charizard, and Timmy's tensed up and looked down the path; the same direction the other went.
Ash grimaced, "Crag." He ran ahead, "Come on."
Charizard lifted off again and flew after him.

Why: I liked the current version better.

"Huh…" Jenny said in shock, "So … what happened at the preservation area was like a cake walk for you guys."
Ash sweat dropped, "Well, I wouldn't take it that far. I did have to jump off a cliff and climb back up it."
One of the cops flinched and inhaled his drink before he started coughing.
Brock smiled and held out a hand, "I think 'routine' better describes it. Like when we were trapped on the Saint Anne."
One of the other cops nearly spat out his drink. He quickly covered his mouth.
Jenny looked up thoughtfully, "Oh, yeah. I heard about th-" She flinched and looked at the group in shock, "Wait! You were on that?!"
Soot smirked, "Yup. We had to climb up to the hull and cut our way out before the whole thing fell into an abyss." She perked up, "Oh, right. The whole ship flipped over. Everything was upside down."
Misty smirked while propping up her head with a fist, "Sometimes, I'm worried we've gotten to use to crazy."
The male cops just stared at the group in pure shock, 'Who the Yvel are these kids?!'

K-9 Academy – Soot hears obnoxious growlithe because … you'll see.
Why: Liked Soot's takedown better.

The Puppy Pokémon smirked, "Watch and learn, pipsqueak." He looked at Soot and called out, "Hey, Dark and shaggy!"
"Grow growlithe growl growl, lithe grow lithe growl growlithe growl growl growlithe lithe growl growl grow lithe!" He grinned, "Grow growlithe lithe grow growlithe growl grow growl growlithe-growl!"
Soot tensed up and sweat dropped. Pikachu, Clefairy, and Electra sweat dropped while deadpanning and Togepi blinked in confusion.
Misty stared at the Fire-type in confusion before looking at Brock. Brock shrugged and Jim looked down at the growlithe with a raised brow.
Another growlithe sighed before rolling her eyes, "Boys."
Ash noticed Soot's reaction and looked at her, "You okay, Soot?"
Soot sweat dropped and glanced to the side, "I'll, uh ... tell you later." She shook if off before looking at the cop, "So what do we have to do in this class, anyway?"

Todd nodded excitedly, "Tell me everything."
"Look, there isn't much to talk about. When I was five, I went into the forest alone to find Pokémon. Childish curiosity, y'know? I ended up getting stuck out in a storm and had to spend the night in a hollow tree. After I woke up, something crashed down from the sky and I ran over to see what it was. Turned out to be a hurt Pokémon. I brought it home and my mom helped me heal it, and the next morning, I saw it on it leaving through the window. Soot's egg was on the pillow we let it sleep on."
Todd stood up and put his hands on the table, "And?!"
Ash shrugged, "And that's all I remember."
Soot shifted her eyes and put a claw on the table right as Todd crashed onto it. The table remained steady.
Todd pushed himself back up and looked at Ash in shock, "That's it?!"
Ash raised a brow, "Well, what did you expect me to say? That it still visits us? That I caught it? I have no idea where it went or what it's doing now."
Todd frowned, "But you have to remember else from back then … right?"
Ash deadpanned, "I was a five-year-old lost in the forest. I'm sorry if that traumatic experience is messing with my memory." He sighed, "Besides," He looked at Soot and smiled softly, "I was a lot more focused on trying to raise the egg I was just given."
Soot smiled softly and nudged up against him.

Better than any other trainer here." She opened her eyes -revealing the left in the banette style and right to be natural- and grinned determinedly, "That is a Phantom's vow!"
The three Pokémon just stared at her in awe. Todd stared in awe as well.

Soot twitched as she tried to hold back a laugh.
