So if you could explain yourselfs that would be nice.

As for the story itself I love the characters and the story itself. I wanted to ask what made you pick mightyena as the pokémon Soot would be. I don't mind that decision, I'm just curious.
Ohirume: *shrugs* No heavily impactful reason, to be honest. I just wanted something more unique.
Riolu/Lucario, Zorua/Zoroark, or almost any other fan-favorite Pokémon would seem like the most obvious choice and have been done in a ton of other stories.
The problem is that most sacrifice believability and logic just to make things cooler. Namely if they're added in on or before day 1.
Don't get me wrong, I love their designs and abilities too and a lot of stories make the 'Ash gets a fan-favorite/something OP very early' concept work. But that number isn't exactly high.
Poochyena/Mightyena are more common, easier to justify, and have hardly been done. Though, the species' natural design definitely helped.
The banette inheritance was some spice mostly built from reading too many Danny Phantom stories. Specifically "Pondus Omnium: The Weight of All Things" by NoSignalBlueScreen and everything from RedHeadRocks1010.
Also 2 more questions and I'll be done. 1: Are the Oramge Island going to be included? I always loved that part of the anime and I've seen some disrespect being thrown its way.
Ohirume: *nods* Oh, yeah. Orange Islands will definitely be covered.
2: If you plan on doing Johto how much of the filler will you cut? Because to be honest there is no way you can include all of it, there's too much and a lot of it is really cringe.

I love what you did with dome filler episodes so far tho, like Dark City, but even then I'm pretty sure nobody expects you to go thru it all. And thats all so far, I love this story and I read it twice btw already.

I've already verified that Trix's omnitrix is a prime timeline pre-Omniverse variant. Not a reboot one. Including those modes on a whim would lead to a few logic errors.
Omega: That and Trix doesn't have an omnitrix key.
Ohirume: Now, technically, I could just go with my "Different Dimension, Different Definition" gimmick like I did with the 'all of Trix's forms are male despite logic' concept to make it so he does have access to them. But that seems kinda cheap.

It was a story with a concept i havent really seen done and characters repourposed in a way that they still feel like the originals but are built up upon and improve rather then stay the same or have a very "jump from point A to point Z" kinda development.

Yugo: For a form, that's actually much easier thanks to the lenient and near unpredictable factor known as other trainers. Take the new darmanitan form for example.

This question has been in the back of my mind for a while now, but how are you going to do Drakes ten move Dragonite during Ash's Orange League match? Will Dragonite still have their ten moves or will they be shortened to four? If they do still have their ten moves I look forward to the explanation you come up with for it.
Ohirume: *hand to chin* Well … we'll see. Turns out Atsuhiro Tomioka -the writer for that episode- actually did the over-the-top move set intentionally to make Dragonite seem 'more unstoppable'.
As the anime progressed, the writers all became less lenient on the moves a Pokémon had available. Eventually causing four move limits to become canon to the anime. I just skipped the 'eventually' part for this story.
Anyway, while Dragonite's massive move set is both canon and a deviation that was recognized by the creators, it still needs reasoning of some sort.
I'll think it over.
Also, if Ash's omnitrix is pre-Omniverse, does that mean that it has the ultimatrix function or is that going to be it's own thing?

*smiles; normal voice* Because the prototype Omnitrix never had the evolutionary function. The Ultimatrix was an entirely separate device that Ben stole from Albedo after blowing up the original Omnitrix. And not in a universe-go-boom kind of blowing up.
Ohirume: Trix's watch is the pre-calibration original and Azmuth despised the Evolutionary Function. No parallel variant of him would include it in an Omnitrix.

Overall a solid chapter, all be it not falling a bit short in my opinion. I actually didn't know that that was were Butch and Cassidy made their first appearance, mainly because I never watched the original episode or because I don't remember watching it.
Ohirume: Yeah, same. It pays to do research.
I also really liked the jail cell scene between the gang and tRio.
Yugo: That was actually original content meant to give a better justification for Todd wanting to leave.
Omega: *looks over PokéSins clipboard* He's right. The actual episode only showed them all telling the cops they had the wrong people the following morning.
If I have to be honest though I'm glad Todd left, because in all honesty he was rely just there in the anime to promote a game.
Gem: *raises brow* Really? But we ran into him again in Johto.
Sadly, that would be a trend for the anime to do, to the point where they made one the main character in the recent series.
Seishin: *sighs* Don't we know it. Let's just hope this Project Mew schtick makes things a little more interesting.

I came up with something for ya. So you know how the Omnitrix mistransforms Ben a lot? Well in later chapters, can you have the Omnitrix mistransform Ash to fit the theme of Ben 10 more? Like let's he tries to go Overheat but gets Calm Mind instead.
Ohirume: Eh, not sure. The way I see it, those 'mistransformations' can be explained in one of two ways.
Yugo: First idea, the watch itself is semi-omniscient.
More often than not, Ben would select a heavy hitter or alien unrelated to the crisis. In response, the Omnitrix would give him a better fitting form instead of what he wants. Be it an overall better choice or something conditional and relating to something that hasn't been acknowledge yet.
That doesn't happen to Trix because he either picks a form that's actually fitting for the crisis or uses the watch for pre-thought out training. A.k.a. he knows what he actually needs.
Seishin: Second theory, Ben slaps the watch way too hard and shifts the dial last second.
Trix has had his Omnitrix since he was five and has learned how to use it.

I'm just going to say this right now, this is easily in my top 5 favorite chapters that you've done so far.
Everything from the Gym Leader's meeting to Team Rocket's meeting was done really well. Especially the latter in terms of James and Growlithe. I will admit that the Squirtle Evo Iland portions were not really interesting, but given that the original episode was not interesting. Still that's more of a nitpick on my part and at least Ash got a new form.

I'm back again! Hi There! Prepare for my questionnaire! (yes I made that rhyme, yes I know I suck and I warn you this one is a doozie). So... Is Gio... good-ish at least in this? like of course he's still running TR but perhaps he's doing it for reasons outside of just "I want money". Maybe to help someone or do something good, but still isn't afraid to do illegal things *cough cough* criminal organization *cough cough*. I'm asking (and hoping) because I really want a good fic with Gio as a good person or at least with good goals, mainly because every other fanfic I've read so far has him a villain like no other, downright torturing people in some and I want Gio to taste the good side of things too for once. I'm assuming and asking this question because of the way he seemed in this chapter (57 - most recent for me) in the meeting, though I'm aware that could've been a ruse (that's why I'm asking).
Ohirume: Well, stuff like how he's connected to Ash and why he has assigned the quaRtet (yes, I'm going to be calling them that from now on) to Ash are going to be revealed in time. But, for now, I'm keeping things on the down low.

Also what about MewTwo and New Island and all that. Will it still be placed after the 8th gym battle as it seemed to be canonically placed in the anime? Will it happen at all? Or (one last question, sorry for keeping you with me so long, group hug maybe guys?) is the plot kept more closely to the anime with TR, Gio, Mew, and Mewtwo and just the entirety of the movie?

So, I've got an idea how to incorporate Ben 10 villains into this: Counterparts! Though I've only three right now.
For Dr. Animo: A former Team Rocket scientist named Gerald Animosis who experimented on Pokémon and began to turn them into monstrous mutants. Team Rocket, especially Giovanni himself, found these experiments to be far too dangerous and kicked him out. Since then, Gerald has continued his studies for his work to "evolve" Pokémon further and this has led him to have numerous battles with Ash, Soot, and the others. His Pokémon are Klang, Porygon Z, and Koffing.
Ohirume: *frowns* Animo is a very difficult topic for a Pokémon world.
Remember that all Pokémon are as sentient as humans. Even magikarp.
Rojo: A bounty hunter named the Red Hunter who travels the world and hunts down rare Pokémon and artifacts to sell to the highest bidder. After coming across alien technology, he made himself a battlesuit that allowed him to fire energy beams, fly through the air, and increase his physical strength. This has made him a deadly for for Ash and Soot. Red Hunter's Pokemon are Bisharp, Aggron, and Skarmory.
Faux: *raises brow* So a poacher like Hunter J?
Mizuro: *leans closer to Omega and whispers* I thought Rojo was a woman.
Omega: She is.
Charmcaster:(This is a bit different form the rest)A female Braixen(calling herself Trixie)who has abnormal Psychic abilities. With these mixed with her incredible fire moves and abilities makes her a force to be reckoned with. Her plan is to use her Psychic abilities to bend all male Pokémon to her will and rule over with ease. This, of course, doesn't sit well with Ash and Soot, leading them to battle. Trixie is Soot's archnemesis in the Kalos arc.
Ohirume: *holds arm in front of self in an X-shape* No harem ****. I draw the line at salazzle.
So are these good ideas for the Trix counterparts of 3 Ben 10 villains?
Ohirume: *rubs back of neck* Well, I get what you were going for with the counterpart thing, but I'm trying to keep this Pokémon world pretty near to the canon.
Sure, I've done my fair share of unrelated, referential characters like Kill La Kill's Rei Hōōmaru working at the clothing store on Scissor Street, renaming Dr. Akihabara to Franz Kogami Schaffer (Code Lyoko and Yu-Gi-Oh Vrains references), and naming someone Roze Kisikil (both names of Yu-Gi-Oh cards) in the Princess Festival tournament.
But those were all low scale things that probably could've happened in the anime … with permission. I mean, they had a pikachu with Boruto hair named Bolt (pronounced Boruto in Japanese) owned by Pikala in the Alola League 151-way free-for-all.
Anyway, there is already something in the works for a crossover beyond what we have now. Wait and see.

Soot sweat dropped while smirking, "Yeah. To be fair, dad was pretty excited to learn how they work, too. He never got the chance to figure one out before now. I'd be more surprised if he didn't give a lect-"
Electra smiled at Ash, "So how does a Pokémon like Aerodactyl fit in one of those?"
Soot deadpanned, "He's about to start again."
The Gym Leaders tensed up.
Ash smiled and raised a finger, "Well, if I had to guess-"
"Nope." Misty said quickly as she grabbed Ash's arm and pulled him up. She turned and held onto his arm to lead him down the sidewalk, "We're finding a hotel. Now."
"Alright, alright." Ash said, "Sorry."
Electra watched in surprise. She perked up when Brock walked over to the bench and jumped up to his backpack, "Is everything okay?"
Soot walked up and looked at her with Pikachu and Clefairy on her back, "Yeah. It's just been a long day."
