It was a dark night in the city that never sleeps which was New York.
Above the tall buildings and skyscrapers, four figures jumped from rooftop to rooftop, trying not to get spotted by the people on the streets below them.
The figures were a group of heroes who called themselves the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The four member team took a break from racing and jumping to stop on the top of an abandon building, that was once a music publishing factory, judging by the name on the nearly broken sign on the front.
"So far, all looks quiet from where we stand," said the turtle wearing a purple bandanna known as Donnatello, or Donnie for short, looking down to the streets.
"If you ask me, it appears to be to quiet," said the blue colored banadanna wearing turtle known as Leonardo, AKA Leo.
"Aww man are we going to be out here all night?
I'm freezing and starving," said the turtle called Michelangelo, better known Mikey, with a slight whine in his voice, and who was sporting an orange bandanna.
"Stop complaining Mikey, we've got to keep an eye out for anything.
Especially Shredder and his goons," snapped the red bandanna wearing turtle named Raphael, or Raph as nearly everyone calls him.
"Raph's right Mikey, we can't take any chances," Donnie pointed out.
"Exactly, we have to keep our eyes open," Leo added.

At that moment, something came flying towards the bunch.
The flying object nearly missed the turtles, stopping on a small shed, on the building's rooftop.
"What in the world was that?" asked Donnie.
"A giant flying squirrel?" guessed Mikey.
"Mikey, we've been over this.
There's no such thing as massive sized flying squirrels."
"Says you."
"I think you've been reading too many comic books.
Anyway, it's a note attatched to something."
The purple bandanna clad turtle was right, as it was indeed a sheet of paper attached to an arrow with what appeared to be a wad of gum on it.
While Donnie, Mikey, and Raph took notice of the letter, Leo meanwhile looked around and spotted a dark shadow figure in the darkness, which instantly dissapeared.
Raph snapped his brother out of his trance by yelling, "Earth calling Leo."
Leo turned to his brothers and said, "I was trying to see where the letter came from.
I thought I saw somebody, but it was too dark to see."
Donnie at that point read the letter, "Turtles
There is something going on at the abandon toy factory in Chinatown.
Get over there ASAP.
K."
"It's from Karai," Leo pointed out.
Karai, who was actaully born with the name Maiw, was kidnapped as a baby from her real father, Hamato Yoshi, taken by his rival Oroku Saki, raising her as if she was his own.
Hamato of course would get his with mutagen, changing him into a half man/ half rat figure named Splinter, as did his former pets, turned students/sons the turtles.
Oroku meanwhile, became the leader of the foot clan with his newly given name Shredder.
All these years, he told Maiw, who he named Karai that Hamato AKA Splinter was the real enemy, rather that Oroku himself, brainwashing Karai to fully believe it.
However, after the turtles, mostly Leo told her the truth, Karai was trying to keep on their side, without getting caught by her father/ kidnapper.
Although, while Leo believes that Karai has changed, the other turtles, mostly Raph still isn't sure if the team can trust her.
Meanwhile, the other turtles, mostly Raph, still have issues with trusting her.
"Bro, you're not actually going make us go there because of your girlfriend are you?" asked Raph.
"First off Raph, she's not my girlfriend, said Leo, as he turned to Donnie and said, "I finally understand how you feel, when we tease you about April," referring to the team's human friend that the purple bandanna wearing turtle admitting to having a slight or rather make it massive crush but doning his best not to show it, before turning back to Raph and pointing out, Karai is our only source to Shredder and his goons.
Plus, knowing that she is Splinter's daughter, I think she's coming around.
"First of all thank you Leo, however, as much as I hate to say this but I'm going to agree with Raph.
Karai has done this several times and we've been tricked by her," said Donnie.
"But guys, Karai is really trying, plus she knows very well who her 'real' father is," said Leo.
"I say we go with Leo and check out that abandon toy factory," Mikey suggested.
"Thanks Mikey.
You seem to be the only one on the team who believes in Karai."
"Yeah, plus I want to see if that toy factory left any cool stuff."
Leo, Raph and Donnie just simply rolled their eyes to their yongest brother's comment, but headed for the location.

Meanwhile in Chinatown at the closed down toy factory, the half fly creature/ half human scientist known as Baxter Stockman, was hard at work on, tinkering with one of his own creations.
"The..mousers have been up graded Ssss..Shreeder.
Observe," Baxter Stockman buzzed.
The scientist placed the robotic rodent on the ground, then proceded to have it's jaws chomp down on wood, plaster, cement, glass, and a piece of scrap metal.
The creation was able to break down all of the test items with much success.
"Excellant Stockman.
The mousers can now break through any type of blockage, even glass and steel," spoke the leader of the foot clad, who was also at the factory to oversee the progress.
"With the help of these mousers, we'll be unstoppable."
"Yes, but a few dozen are not going to cut it.
WE NEED MORE!"
"But ssss...sir, I'm only one man, er fly or manfly, I can only make aaaaasssss...many aaaaaasss...I can."
Well then speed up the process!
The amount you have made already ready is enough to take over one street corner.
We need enough to take over the whole city!"
"Yeeessssss sir."
And with that, Baxter Stockman picked up the pace with his work.

On the building's rooftop, two of Shredder's henchmen, a half rhino/half human named Rocksteady, and a half human/ half warthog named Bebop were keeping watch.
"Man this really stinks.
Here we are on a perfect Friday night to go check out the scene on the town, but instead, we're stuck on guard duty," sighed Bebop.
"I understand your pain commrad.
Before getting turned into rhino creature, I used to party on the club scene," said Rocksteady.
"Same with me, before I came this monster, chicks dug my moves.
Whoo Hoooo!" Bebop said showing off some dance moves, much to the dismay of Rocksteady who said, "Did you say females dug dances moves or took pity on you?"
"That's cool dude.
Real cold."

Their conversation came to a halt, when four figures stood before them.
The rhino and warthog regonized the shadow figures right away.
"Oh snap, it's those turtles," spoke Bebop.
"Turtles.
I crush them like the blueberries," said Rocksteady.
"Not if we take care of you guys first," said Raph.
A fight broke out between the the six mutant.
