Chapter 1
Dominic Antonio Lopez looked at the sniffling Berry men kneeling in front of him. His eyes were as cold as the winter's snow. He had half a mind to kill them when they arrived.
Tony is a well-known crime lord and assassin by trade. He comes from a long line of Assassins. He's training his daughter Santana, so she can officially part take in the family business.
Santana wasn't born like normal baby girls. Halfway through her mother's pregnancy, they assumed they were having a boy. It wasn't until she was born that they discovered she was a female with male genitalia. She is an intersex person and her father couldn't have loved more. He treated Santana as normally as he could. In fact, because she was so special, he trained her harder than the rest of the crew. Although Santana hated that her father for the tough love, she grew to appreciate it. They ended up having a very open relationship with each other.
By the age of twelve years old, Santana was already killing it in two areas. Manipulation and fighting. Santana developed this alter ego named Snixx. She would always appear when Santana got mad enough to trigger a rage blackout. Rage blackouts was another trait Santana developed. She would have moments of great anger and would have zero knowledge of anything that took place during the fight. She lost many friends because of this anger problem. As the years passed, Santana learned to control her anger, but felt like she had only a few friends she could trust. She was friends with Rachel Berry for many years, they grew up together and were very close, but that all changed when they started their high school careers. Santana became a cheerleader and popular, while Rachel joined the Glee club and became a loser at school. Rachel had a beautiful voice, she was easily the best singer in the whole school. Rachel had big dreams of becoming a Broadway icon. The once good friends turned enemies, couldn't stand each other.
A little secret about Santana was that she liked Rachel more than she cared to share with anyone. To keep her secrets hidden from the student body, she bullied Rachel for three of the four years of high school. Her father was aware of her affection towards Rachel. He figured that two people who were as close as Santana and Rachel couldn't go on hating each other. He was also aware of Santana's bullying behavior and always promised himself that he would intervene if things got out of hand. In efforts to know more about her life, he made sure that they would dinner every night and talk, really talk to each other they had open and honest discussions with each other, and they kept nothing from each other... Or have they?
During one of their nightly father/daughter dinners, Tony revealed his struggles with Rachel's dads and the debt they owed him. He also revealed that he would have to take them out if he couldn't come up with a different alternative for the Berry men. Santana feelings that she would swear she doesn't have for Rachel is the only reason Rachel's dads aren't dead. Suddenly, Santana realized what day it was... April 21st. Which meant only one thing... Time was up for the Berry men!
Tony stared at the men before him, trying to think of another way to hurt the Berry men. He knew killing them, would hurt Rachel and that would hurt Santana he couldn't have that.
"There had to be a better way to handle this…" Tony thought to himself. A way that would satisfy him, make Santana happy and cause a large amount of pain for the Berry men. What could that be? Then suddenly a brilliant idea popped in his head and he knew what he had to do. He got up from his desk and went to sit at the edge of the table with his gun in his hand.
"Stop crying you punk-bitches!" Tony said glaring evilly at the crying men. As the men attempted to stop crying, Tony continued speaking,
"I have a proposition for you, one that will work out well for both parties involved. I'm assuming you don't have my money as expected correct?" Tony asked.
"You're correct, sir. We just need more time." Marcus pleaded with him.
"Time's up! Now if you agree with the terms, I'm about to tell you, then you can live." Tony said not interested in his pleads.
"We will do anything Mr. Lopez just name it." Edward said desperately.
"Excellent, that's exactly what I wanted to hear. The proposition is that your daughter Rachel will marry my daughter Santana. You will not see or have contact with Rachel unless I allow it. You have 72 hours to pack up your shit and leave the country. If you don't, I will kill you simple as that." Tony said waiting for their answer.
Marcus and Edward let out an audible gasp. The last thing they expected was to give up their daughter. They knew of Santana reputation for having a rather violent temper and this worried them more then anything, well to be honest Marcus was the only one worried, Edward just didn't want to die. They remembered Rachel telling them this a few years back. The last thing Marcus wanted was for his daughter to be a part of Mr. Lopez's violent family.
"There had to be another way." Marcus thought, but before he could say anything, Edward spoke up for them.
"Deal." Edward blurted, not caring about subjecting his daughter to a life of crime. He had no regard for her well-being. She will be married into a very dangerous family. Edward thought of one thing and one thing only… Living!
"Edward no! What are you thinking? There must be another way. We can't give up Rachel without a fight." Marcus said outraged that he agreed so quickly.
"There is NO other way! Marcus, we don't have a choice, it's give up our daughter and be able to live out the rest of our lives together in another country or we say no, and he kills us. Either way, we are leaving Rachel." Edward said shaking his head.
"I would rather die, if that meant my daughter can live a free and happy life. Are you really that desperate to live, that you would give up your only daughter?" Marcus said.
"You are missing my point, Marcus. If don't agree he will kill us, don't you get that? What if he kills all three of us? Then what oh mighty hero? This is the only way to ensure that Rachel has a good life. She would get to live out her life in a lap of luxury. Santana is a beautiful young woman. This could be a win/win. Rachel was leaving for college in New York, anyway. Marcus, I know you aren't happy with this decision, but she will have a great life, even if we don't get to be a part of it." Edward said disgusted with himself for ever coming to Mr. Lopez for help.
"Okay, I get it. I don't like it, but it's the only way. I just hope that one day she can forgive us." Marcus said sighing.
"I hope so too." Edward said.
"What is your official answer?" Tony asks as he clocks back his gun and aims it at Edward's head.
"It's a deal… Right Marcus?" Edward asked Marcus.
"Yes, you have a deal Mr. Lopez. We will give you Rachel in exchange for our lives." Marcus said.
"Great, I knew you would see it my way." Tony said with an evil smirk on his face.
"Come on, Edward let's go home and tell Rachel we're leaving." Marcus says making a move to get up off the floor.
"Did I say you could leave? Are you trying to piss me off?" Tony asked.
"No, sir, we're sorry." Marcus said and quickly sat back down.
"Now, I'll have my lawyer draw up the contract and have it delivered to you by tomorrow morning. Once you sign it, you're 72 hours begin. Send Rachel in when you leave." Tony said.
"She's here?" Marcus asked surprised.
"Yes, I had her picked up you got a problem with that?" Tony asked, well pretty much dared them
"But…" Edward said.
"One more word out of your mouth and I will kill you! Nod so I know you understand me." Tony said.
They nod their heads and Tony points to the door. The men take their leave and summons Rachel to Tony's office.
Rachel comes in and stands before him nervously.
"Please have a seat Rachel." Tony asked.
"Thank you, Mr. Lopez." Rachel said.
"You may call me Tony." Tony said and Rachel nodded her head.
"Thank you, Tony." Rachel said.
"Do you know why you're here, Rachel?" Tony asked.
"No, I do not." Rachel answered.
"Let me feel you in a bit, Rachel. You see your fathers came to me for a loan and has yet to pay me back, so I gave them an opportunity to save their lives, and they jumped at the chance. You will marry my daughter Santana." Tony said.
"An arranged marriage?" Rachel asked with a surprised look on her face.
"Yes, an arranged marriage, you and Santana will soon be married, not at this very moment as you two will have three years to decide." Tony said as Rachel blinked once then twice before passing out in her chair.
"Santana come in here and help Rachel please." Tony said over the intercom. His office is soundproof. Seconds later the door opens to reveal Santana in a red spaghetti strapped shirt, tight black jeans with her long brown resting on her shoulders. Santana looked at a passed-out Rachel and then at her father in concern.
"Hey, I did nothing, but tell her about the arranged marriage." Tony said and Santana looked at her father with a confused look on her face, once her father explained his plan to her, and she facepalms herself, before letting out a huge and loud sign. How was she supposed to convince Rachel to give her a chance, when she is being forced to be her wife? She knew there was no way to change her dad's mind. No matter how terrible his plan was.
Santana walked over to the mini fridge and grabbed a water bottle. She opened the water and sprinkled some of it on her face. Suddenly Rachel eyes open and she comes face to breast with Santana. Rachel didn't know how long she was staring at Santana breast, but eventually her eyes traveled up to meet Santana's eyes. She must admit that Santana was a beautiful girl. But she also knew that she couldn't let her guard down. At least until she was sure she could trust Santana. That might take so time, because she refused to get hurt by that girl again.
Santana chuckles slightly, before leaning in to capture Rachel's lips in a searing kiss, leaving her breathless.
"Checking out the merchandise, future Wifey?" Santana said pecking her lips once more.
"Yeah, and I think I'm ready to check out." Rachel said.
"Maybe we should get started on making this marriage official then?" Santana said biting her lip.
"Maybe we should, but in the words of Beyoncé, if you like it that much, then you should put a ring on it." Rachel said trying to regain her breath.
"Don't worry, I plan on it!" Santana said taking Rachel's hand in her own.
"I'm not worried." Rachel said feeling a little bold and confident as she captures Santana's lips in a kiss that this time leaving Santana breathless. Once they broke apart, Rachel looks to Tony and says,
"I am so sorry Tony, how rude of me to make out with your daughter in front of you." Rachel said feeling a little ashamed.
"No, apologies needed, she is your future wife, I'm just surprised that you're taking this so well." Tony said smiling.
"This may sound weird, but I think I'm glad this happened kind of. I've had a crush on your daughter since middle school. When she started bullying me, I never fully blamed her. I knew that she was just trying to make it through High School the best way she could. Even if that meant throwing away years of friendship for two girls she just met and popularity. I was always searching for a way to get my friend back. I was thinking if we could get our friendship back, then maybe it could progress to even more... I know sounds stupid, right?" Rachel said looking down.
"No, it doesn't sound stupid at all. I hope you guys can back to where you guys were." Tony said.
"May I leave now Tony?" Rachel asked.
"Yes, you may leave, now you must not discuss this arrangement with anyone outside of your parents." Tony said warning her.
"I won't I promise, see you around Santana." Rachel makes her leave with a little extra sway in her hips. She turns around and blows a kiss to Santana, before leaving out the door and hearing it slam shut.
"That woman will be the death of me!" Santana says with her fingers still on her lips.
~ Outside of the Lopez House ~
Rachel walks outside and notices that her fathers were outside waiting for her. It seems like James or Alex must have driven the car to the Lopez's residence. Everything was the same, their bags are still in the car and the car still works so that's good. The only thing that's missing is the plane tickets that Alex and James destroyed.
"Did I just kiss Santana? Am I really getting married to the girl, I had a crush on since 6th grade? Remember Rachel, you can't let your guard down." Rachel thinks as she gets in the car and her father Marcus pulls out of Lopez's driveway and head home.
