"Hehe, I love flying in the morning." a young voice said excitedly.

It belonged to a brown-furred, shoulder-length haired female-kit with blue eyes full of energy and wonder wearing a suit of purple armour which her awesome uncle, Rocket had made for her when she became either an Avenger or a Guardian of the Galaxy, however she didn't want to wait for that someday, she wanted to help now and using her many incredible powers she was still learning to control, she'd created her own hero identity, as Raccooñ Girl who helped stop bad guys in her neighbourhood along with helping her fellow. raccoons

How did she come to Earth and end up living in the Avengers compound?

It all had started one fateful night while playing and climbing trees in the forests o Halfworld when she found her way into an escape pod which was destined for Terra which we call Earth, taking off leaving, flying through the cosmos to Earth, crash landing on the outskirts of New York which Carol and Rocket had spotted.

After finding the infant kit, they took her back to the compound and when realising her powerful potential, Rocket decided to adopt her as his niece helping her with her powers and this crazy planet which was her adopted home.

"Oh man, I should fly back, before uncle Rockie and the others freak, or come looking for me!" Casey said flying fast to the compound entering her room through the bedroom window changing out of her armour, back into pyjamas.

"That was close, Raccooñ Girl has to stay secret until her Pkedge Day and it happens to be Shockie's time today, maybe that's why the adults are busy." Casey said yawning.

Pledge Day was when Avenger kids were ready to start their training in the Avengers Intern program, which was hard to get into, so her cousin, Shocket and her friends had made it knowing her uncle was very proud of his daughter despite him thinking of Casey as his kit too, so she was in a good mood, the ceremony was fun along with the party, knowing her cousin and friends had a secret welcome party later on, hoping Shocket might tell her later.

"Casey you in there, you up?" Rocket said knocking on her door gently as she opened it gently, not wanting to rip it off it's hinges again using her super-strength power.

"Everything okay, excited about the ceremony, you know?" she asked stretching making him nod yet he kinda wished that today would be her Pledge Day and getting to see her in the special armour the kids wore for the ceremony, she had a big heart, which was the mark of a good hero or heroine, he had seen Shocket wearing her armour already.

"Yeah, I was just checking on you, you know it is going to be an exciting day, I wish it could be you you know?" Rocket said.

Casey would have been part of the ceremony, only she knew how badly her cousin wanted it, so had given her spit to her, which the adults were surprised and impressed by her judgement, saying she wasn't ready, but Shocket was, so she would be happy watching her cousin have her moment, feeling her uncle squeeze her paw gently.

She noticed special armour for her, which confused her, what was he up to?

"It might not be your time yet, but why can't you feel special too on such a big day?" he told her.

"Thank you, as you have a point, we should get ready." Casey replied hugging him gently making him chuckle.

"And have breakfast too." he said seeing her nod as he left.

She was looking at the armour her uncle had made her, knowing she wanted to try it on as it was the same colour as her Raccooñ Girl armour with wrist gauntlets that looked like her power-bands which she wore, they helped her control her powers so she couldn't cause major damage or hurt those she cared about, her worst fear.

She saw there was a heart crest with RG in the middle, did her uncle know she was Raccooñ Girl, did Shocket spill the tea to him, questions that were on her mind, that faded looking at herself in the mirror, she looked very cool and heroic.

"Raccooñ Girl shoots, she so scores!" she said grinning, her eyes gleaming with purple energy blinking.

She then left her room using her super-speed power to get to the kitchens/mess hall for breakfast unaware the other kids saw her new armour thinkijg she was joining Pledge Day, making Casey anxious, she wanted to tell them Rocket wanted to make her feel special too on this big day.

"I thought Casey gave you her spot so why is she wearing special armour too?" Cassie Lang asked Shocket who was sitting at a table with Cassie, Linda, Thrud and Galacta talking and eating breakfast and they'd noticed Casey's new armour too which Shocket figured a good question.

"Casey Raboon, why've you got your paws on cool armour?" she asked.

Casey appeared out of nowhere using her cloaking-power to hide so nobody could see her armour and get confused explaining, making Shocket understand, feeling bad that her cousin wouldn't be part of the ceremony, she saw how hard she worked in class alomg with the private power-practice sessions that were working.

"Don't feel that way, Shockie you're making your dad proud that one of us is getting into the program, enjoy today, you're showing others how being the little guy is Awesone, just like uncle Rockie tells us when we mess up or others are mean." Casey said fist-bumping her playfully making Shocket chuckle having an idea.

"You can call him dad if you want, to him you're his kit too even if he took you in before he. Discovered me." Shocket replied unaware Rocket was listening, getting choked up, from Shocket getting into the Avengers Internship, now she was encouraging Casey to call him dad, letting the feels out, blowing into ano an napkin which Thor saw understanding.

"You still have Casey, now Shocket is graduating, growing up a little." Carol said.

"Way to rub it in, you know how he gets on these occasions." Kamala said.

She then saw Casey going over to him, hugging him, seeing Branchie, Carmillaasked and Groot's sapling hugging Rocket's armoured leg sensing he needed a hug like her dad did with him which was helping knowing today would be emotional not just for him, but Scott, Sif and Thor as their kids were one step closer to their destiny as Avengers, seeing Branchie getting restless so Casey was taking her outside until it was time for the ceremony, playing on the playground having a lot of fun especially the monkey bars which she'd learnt to cross a few weeks ago with her best friend, Crystal helping and encouraging her.

"I am Groot, I am Groot?" Branchie asked.

"Nope I'm not becoming an Avenger today, Shockie is, remember?" she said.

"I am Groot." she said softly.

Casey knew how to translate what her uncle Groot and her cousin, Branchie's tongue, because Rocket had taught her when she was Branchie's age, so was fluent in Groot like Asgardian kids which made her proud knowing Terran kids learnt French, Spanish while she could speak Groot, learning other cosmic tongues just in case.

"Casey it's nearly time, come on." Kamala said.

"Let's go cheer Shockie on, alright?" Casey toldBranchie.

The sapling nodded getting onto her armoured shoulder, as they went back inside noticing not just the adults and her uncle but news repirters and bloggers like the ones she watched on Youtube knowing there was excitement, electricity in the air seeing Groot relieved Branchie was okay, feeling very, very scared of all the people, wanting to close his eyes and pretend to be a tree, he knew Rocket needed him because Shocket was moving onto bigger things so he had to be there, noticing Howard emotional too because Linda was graduating too, sitting beside her dad/uncle and Lylla Otter, his soulmate.

"Ready?" she asked him, seeing him nod clenching a Kleenex between his furry finfers.
