So I am back! I had a great time with my parents this past week and taking time off of work and from writing. I actually wrote this story before I took my paid leave in case I had time to upload another story. So, here it is: Diana's bachelorette party. Enjoy!

DISCLAIMER: I do not own anything related to "Meet the Robinsons" or "High School Story: Class Act," I only own Diana and Amelia.

STORY #15: The Bachelorette Party

NARRATOR: Diana

MARCH 12, 2067 – TODAYLAND, NORTH MONTANA, USA

This was the most fun spring break I've ever had in my life. This was the only spring break I had spent as a fiancée, and it was the last spring break I would have as a Robinson, for I was getting married in just three months.

I brought two of my bridesmaids with me to Todayland: Amy and Amelia. Amy is an acting student at Hollywood University and has had her schedule full since she arrived in Hollywood. She participated in every theatre production, and when she wasn't doing theatre, she was playing with me, Rory, and Michael in the band, which really soared since she moved to California. Amelia is my fiancé's sister, and she is a Pacific Bay University student, like I am. After getting inspiration from my brother Wesley, she had decided to go into personal training.

I showed Amy and Amelia the sights of Todayland again since they had only visited once this past Christmas, and it was to try on their bridesmaid dresses. Emma, Maria, Jade, and Myra had joined us that Wednesday. Emma spent her entire time decorating the music room for the bachelorette party while I took the other bridesmaids out for lunch. Maria had occasionally helped Emma with decorating since that was her specialty in high school. We all had dinner together with the family that was in Todayland: my grandparents, my godmother Tallulah and her brother Laszlo, and my great uncles Art and Gaston.

I remembered the first family dinner we had with all of my bridal party present. It was Wednesday, and so it was chicken and rice night. Gaston had still snuck in meatballs to put in his meatball cannon, and even in his old age, he still picked a fight with someone, mostly my grandma, but whenever I'm here, he would pick on me. This time, he picked on Maria, whose mind was on the party. I would never forget the look on her face when he nailed her with that meatball.

"Do you know karate, Maria?" Grandma Franny asked after Maria picked up the meatball that fell on her lap.

"You bet I do," Maria answered with a smug look.

She threw the meatball back at Gaston.

"Yeah! Get him, Maria!" Jade encouraged her.

"Let's see how skilled you are with a meatball, Maria," Gaston taunted her, and then he shot another meatball, which Maria deflected with her forearm.

"Show me what you got!" Maria taunted him.

"Go Maria!" Myra cheered her on as Gaston fired three more meatballs.

Maria deflected all three with her forearms.

"That's mixed martial arts!" Grandma exclaimed with a smile on her face.

"Diana encouraged me to take some classes," Maria exclaimed as she continued to block off Gaston's meatballs. "I loved it so much I kept going. I'm a black belt."

Maria ended up winning the meatball fight that night. Now it was Saturday, the day of the bachelorette party. I would fly back to Pacific Bay with Amy and Amelia tomorrow so that we could go back to school.

I heard knocking on my door, and it stirred me awake.

"Who is it?" I asked sleepily.

"It's Emma."

"Emma! Come in!"

I sleepily watched Emma open the door with a big smile on her face. The first thing I noticed was her turquoise floral dress with blue heels.

"I've gotta thank your godmother for making me this dress."

"Auntie Tallie made it?" I asked with surprise.

"Oh, she made each of us one," Emma answered. "And she made you one, too. Come here."

Emma led me into the bathroom that was adjacent to the guest room, and I found a red floral dress hanging on the shower rod. There were red heels right next to the toilet.

"Go on and get changed, and then meet us in the dining room. Amy's making us breakfast."

I nodded at Emma, and she went out of the room. It didn't take me long to change into the dress. I walked out of my late Aunt Billie's room and went up the travel tube to get in the dining room. I was greeted by most of the other girls, who were all wearing floral dresses. Jade wore green, Myra wore purple, Maria wore navy blue, and Amelia wore orange.

"So, Emma, Maria, what plans did you two make for me?" I asked with a smile.

"First, Amy is making us breakfast," Maria started.

"Then, we're going to go on a little photoshoot," Emma said excitedly.

"Wait, who's going to take the photos?" I asked with a perplexed expression. "Berethor's in Pacific Bay and my dad's in Connecticut."

"Surprise!"

I turned around to see…

"Dad!"

I ran from my chair into his arms.

"What are you doing here?" I asked with both shock and surprise at the same time. "I thought Wesley's spring break isn't for another two weeks!"

"Emma asked me to take photos of you girls at your bachelorette party," Dad explained. "Seeing as it was on a Saturday, I couldn't say no to seeing you just for a day or two."

"My spring break is officially complete," I replied with a big smile as I hugged my dad tightly. "Emma, Maria, how did you pull off my dad showing up?"

"Knowing your dad, it was tricky," Emma started to explain.

"We had to do it while you were asleep," Maria chimed in. "It's not easy getting anything past you either. I bought the ticket for your dad."

"And Tallulah and I picked him up from the airport this morning," Emma finished with a big smile on her face.

"And breakfast is served!" Carl announced with Amy coming in behind him, wearing a pink floral dress.

Dad and I took our seats in our usual spots. Emma sat to my right in Wesley's spot; Maria sat in Karena's spot next to my dad; Amy sat in my grandma's seat; Jade sat in my grandpa's seat; and Amelia sat across from my dad.

"So, what's happening after the photoshoot?" I asked as a little Carl delivered my breakfast: pancakes shaped like a heart with butterscotch syrup on top.

"We're going glow-in-the-dark bowling and eating pizza," Maria answered.

"Then, we're going to come back here and actually have the party in the music room," Emma finished. "We'll play some fun games."

"Sounds like fun!" I replied before tasting my pancakes. "You're good, Amy!"

"Yeah!" Myra agreed. "All of that experience at the Golden Griddle must have helped your cooking."

"My first gift to Ajay was heart-shaped pancakes," Amy explained with bliss in her voice.

"I think I remember that day," I replied. "Wasn't it Valentine's Day in 2061?"

"Yes, that's it! I remember now, too: you and Caleb stepped in the Golden Griddle and ate with us."

"I can't believe it's been over six years since you and Ajay started dating," I replied.

"And he hasn't proposed?" Myra asked with surprise in her voice.

"No, not yet," Amy answered with some sadness in her voice.

"Have you two talked about marriage?" Jade asked with concern.

"We've talked about it a few times, but Ajay always said it wasn't the right time. Diana, how did you know it was right when Berethor proposed to you?"

"It just felt right," I answered to the best of my ability. "Berethor and I had dated for two years, and he had proven what I had been looking for in a husband. Plus, he's respected my timing to grieve and he's always supported me. If Ajay hasn't proposed yet, he probably wasn't ready to. Have you ever had any doubts about your relationship?"

"I did after Ajay started going to college in Hollywood," Amy explained. "I was still a high school student and Ajay had his life in college. But he called me every morning and every night, and he would send me some gifts through the mail. Long-distance didn't stop us, and I was so excited when I got accepted to the same university. We kept going in our relationship as though nothing had stopped us. We picked up right where we left off, and we grew together. But, like you said, Diana, it's been over six years."

"Your time will come, Amy," Emma replied. "Luis hasn't proposed to me either."

"What is it with everyone and waiting to get married?" Myra asked. "Emma, you've been dating Luis for… how many years? Six?"

"A little over seven and a half years," Emma answered with her head down.

"Seven and a half?" the rest of us asked at the same time.

"Well, to be fair, my parents met when they were preteens and didn't marry for ten years," Dad explained.

"How long did they date, Wilbur?"

"Their first date was in 2012 and they got married in 2018. They were engaged for about six months." Dad paused, putting a smile on his face. "You have to keep in mind, girls, that you had met your boyfriends during high school. High school is never the best time to think about marriage. Anything can happen after high school. Amy, Emma, it's clear that you've been staying in touch and staying strong in your relationships. What are your boyfriends doing?"

"Luis works in a gaming company," Emma explained. "Actually, his job is exciting: he performs stunts so that the graphic artists can use those stunts and place them on the characters."

"So he's an actor?" Amy asked.

"Something like that," Emma answered with a smile. "Luis works in New York, and he has a really nice apartment."

"Ajay, on the other hand, is doing an internship for a production company," Amy explained. "He's only working behind the scenes doing the little things right now. Like Luis, he does have an apartment, but it's in Ivywood Hills."

"Ajay's in Ivywood?" Amelia and I asked at the same time.

"Have you seen how expensive apartments are in Hollywood or Beverly Hills?" Amy asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Oh goodness, words cannot describe how many times Berethor will talk about how expensive Hollywood is," I answered, rolling my eyes.

"Not just Berethor," Amelia chimed in. "My dad too."

"If they're making time to see you, then I'm sure marriage is in there somewhere," Dad said with a confident smile. "Just be patient."

We finished our pancakes, and Carl took all of us on the Billie Express to downtown Todayland. The first place we went to was my godmother's dress shop.

"Hey, ladies!" Tallulah greeted us as we walked in. "Don't worry, I'm still working on your alterations."

"Well, thank you, Auntie Tallie," I replied.

"Actually, we're just here so that Wilbur can get a picture of us," Emma explained. "We're doing a photoshoot all over Todayland as part of Diana's bachelorette party."

"Oh, what fun!" Tallulah replied. "Go for it. Go ahead and use the back room."

"Thanks, cousin!" Dad replied as he followed us to the back room.

The seven of us got on the round platform and gathered around me. We did a few poses for my dad: a serious pose, a relaxed pose, and a goofy pose. We walked out of the store and to the bubble transport. After the transport, we went to the little theme park and posed in front of Space Mountain. We stopped at a few more places until we finally reached the bowling alley and got our picture taken outside and inside after we put on our bowling shoes.

"So the first thing we do is pick which color we want our pins to be," I explained.

"Is there a color for all six of us?" Jade asked.

"Seven," I corrected her. "And there should be."

"I'll take pink!" Amy said enthusiastically.

"I'll take purple," Myra said.

"I'll be blue," Maria chimed in.

"I'll take green," Jade said.

"Is there orange?" Amelia asked.

"It's just us, Diana," Emma said with a smile. "Yellow or red?"

"I didn't know they had red!" I exclaimed. "I'll take it!"

We were divided into two teams with Emma and I being the captains. I was teamed up with Amy, Amelia, and Maria while Emma was teamed with Jade and Myra. From what I had seen so far, Amy and Jade were the best bowlers in our group. Jade had gotten strikes in every frame while Amy had either bowled a strike or a spare.

"I haven't had this much fun since high school," Maria said after bowling a spare in the fifth frame. "Michael took me to a glow-in-the-dark bowling alley once and he paid for a pizza."

"Is Michael your boyfriend?" Myra asked with surprise.

"No, he's not. His name is Eugene. He's a sweetheart."

After Jade won for Emma's team, we went back to the house and gathered in the music room. My grandma's frog band provided the entertainment for us.

"Alright, so the first game is the Newlywed game," Emma announced. "Maria and I have worked together to email Berethor these questions, and now we get to ask you them, Diana. Berethor answered these twice: once describing you and the other describing himself depending on the question. If your answer matches his, we all get to drink our wine. If they don't match, then you have to drink."

"Sounds like fun!" I replied. "Let's do this!"

"Question 1: What did he wear on the first date?" Emma asked.

"Oh my goodness, this was three years ago!" I exclaimed while thinking, trying to bring up the memory of our first date. "Berethor wore a blue suit with a white shirt underneath the jacket."

"You are right!" Emma announced before she and the girls took their drinks.

"Who's the better kisser?" Maria asked.

"Oh my gosh!" I exclaimed, and we all laughed. "This is an opinionated question, not a factual one! I have to go with Berethor. I was the first woman he's ever kissed, but it was amazing that first time."

"Ooh, it looks like he thinks you're the better kisser," Maria revealed. "Alright Diana, drink up."

"I can't blame him," I replied, sipping my white wine.

"What is his star sign?" Myra asked.

"Cancer. His birthday is July 10."

"You got it!"

I watched the girls drink their wine.

"Who said 'I love you' first?" Amy asked.

"I did."

"Bam!"

"I said it the night we got engaged," I explained as the girls drank their wine. "Berethor said it almost right after I told him for the second time."

"Which Disney character is he most like?" Jade asked with a smile.

"Oh my goodness, that's a tough one."

I gave a lot of thought into this question.

"Kristoff. Like Kristoff, Berethor loves snow and ice. They've both only loved one woman. And, they're both quite the singers. And not to mention their hair is similar. Only Berethor's is copper while Kristoff's is blonde."

"You really do know your fiance!" Jade exclaimed as she took a drink.

"I wonder who he said I was most like," I pondered out loud.

"Do you really want to know?" Emma asked.

"Caleb told me I was a lot like Snow White," I explained. "He even called me Snow White. But Berethor might not look at me the same way."

"Elsa! Berethor thinks you're most like Elsa!"

"Seriously? I'm surprised."

"You'll have to ask him why," Emma replied. "Amelia, it's your turn."

"What is his worst habit?" Amelia asked with a smirk.

"Sometimes when we go on our little adventures, Berethor will clean the lens with his saliva. Not with water and a towel or a wipe. His finger and his saliva."

"My brother says something different," Amelia replied. "He thinks his worst habit is biting his nails."

"Oh shoot! I didn't think of that one."

"Drink up, Diana," Emma said with a smirk as I sipped my wine. "What is his favorite thing about you?"

"My voice. Berethor always tells me how soothing it is."

"You got it!" Emma exclaimed, drinking wine with the other girls.

"On the other hand, what is his favorite thing about himself?" Maria asked. "And I love his answer."

"As you should: his willingness to help other people."

The girls drank their wine as Myra asked the next question.

"What is his favorite pizza topping?"

"Bacon!"

The girls groaned, drinking another sip.

"We're all going to be drunk by the end of this," Amy moaned. "Would he rather spend an evening in with you or a night out with you?"

"Probably spending an evening in with me," I answered. "We're college sweethearts, after all."

"Yep," Amy said, as she and the other girls drank.

"How are things going in here?" Dad asked, walking into the room.

"I think they need coffee," I answered. "Amy's afraid of being drunk."

"I got you!"

My dad winked as he walked out of the room.

"What are you most likely to argue about?" Jade asked.

"Our kids when we have them," I answered with a laugh.

"Actually, no! It's baseball! Berethor and I have something in common already!"

I took a sip of wine before Amelia asked her question.

"No, that one's too easy. How about this one: How does your partner like their tea or coffee?"

"Berethor will take a Coke," I said with a flat expression. "The only time he drank coffee is when he asked me out for our first date."

"You'll be surprised when you start living together," Amelia said with a smirk. "He likes his tea sweetened with stevia and ice."

"He drinks iced tea?" I asked, taking a sip of my wine. "I've never seen him drink tea before!"

"He never drank tea until he started dating you!" Amelia explained enthusiastically. "He said you always gave him some sort of Southern vibe, even though you're from the Northeast."

"He's a true cowboy," Myra said with bliss. "Your turn, Emma."

"How does your partner like their eggs cooked?"

"Scrambled," I answered, and the girls took another sip.

"Oh praise the Lord!" Amy exclaimed as Dad walked back in with a pot of coffee.

"The nice thing about a thermos is that the coffee stays hot," Dad explained with a smile. "Enjoy. And here's the cream and sugar."

"Thank you, Wilbur!" Amy replied happily.

"My turn," Maria said. "Who is the better driver?"

"Berethor. He's more patient than I am."

"Once again, he says you are the better driver."

"Wait why?" I asked, taking a sip of wine while the girls drank coffee.

"You'll have to ask him," Maria answered.

"What is his favorite thing that you wear?" Myra asked.

"My red evening dress."

"Actually, no. Berethor likes you in the purple dress you wore on your engagement night."

"I'll have to let Auntie Tallie know!" I replied, taking a sip of wine.

"Who would win in a game of Monopoly?" Amy asked.

"Me. Almost every time we play, Berethor goes bankrupt first."

Amy took a sip of wine, and so did the rest of the party before they went right back to the coffee.

"What was the best present he ever gave you?" Jade asked.

"This," I answered, holding up my engagement ring.

"You're not wrong," Myra answered with a smile, not taking a sip of her wine.

"Oh? What does Berethor think?"

"The housewarming basket," Jade answered.

"Oh yes, the housewarming basket," I replied, taking a sip of wine. "Great, now I need coffee."

"Good, because this the last question," Amelia said. "Wait, how was the housewarming basket the best gift?"

"He gave it to me literally the morning after we first met," I explained. "Berethor said he got it on impulse even though he says that he got it for me because it was my first home after my parents'."

"Here we go: Who will be the most hungover after the wedding?"

"Well, I highly doubt it's going to be Berethor," I answered with a laugh. "We'll both need to stay sane through our wedding night. Does it have to be one of us?"

"No, we told him it could be anybody."

"Well, then in this case, I think it is going to be… Gaston."

"Why him?"

"He's very lively in his seventies!" I explained with a laugh. "He's been living every day like it's his last!"

"Does he have cancer or something?" Amy asked with worry.

"Of course not! Praise the Lord. Although his cholesterol is very high because of all of those meatballs."

"It's time to dance!" Emma announced as the frog band started to play Glenn Miller.

I tried to stand up, but I ended up falling on the floor instead, and I blacked out.

I felt myself being slapped in the face as I woke up. When I came about, I saw all of the bridesmaids and my dad hovering over me.

"Give her some space," I heard my dad say as I continued to stir myself awake.

"I don't feel very good," I said out loud, and it was true: I felt like puking.

"Come on, Diana," Emma told me. "Let's go to the bathroom."

Emma led me to the bathroom, and I immediately went for the toilet, emptying my stomach.

"Diana, are you alright?"

"I think so," I answered wearily. "I've never felt like this before. Did I drink too much?"

"And I thought we were the ones who drank too much because you paid attention to your fiancé," Emma replied with a giggle, and I glared at her. "Unless something else is happening—"

"Emma, please don't even think about saying I could be pregnant," I interrupted her. "We're both virgins."

"So it was your first time really drinking and your body can't handle it. It happens."

"Remind me not to drink at my own wedding," I told her. "I got drunk at my own bachelorette party. I am so embarrassed."

"Hey, you're the bride. Our attention should be on you. We were just having so much fun celebrating your last three months as Diana Robinson. I promise, at the bridal shower and at the wedding rehearsal, we'll do our best to help the bride stay sober."

"Thank you, Emma. I knew I could count on you."

Emma and I hugged on the bathroom floor, and I was looking forward to the day she would standing by me when I marry my soulmate.
