A couple of Ami Mizuno's favorite colors had been aquamarine and blue. Aquamarine had been a blend of the color blue and the color green and came to be named after the gemstone aquamarine which had been found mainly in granite rocks. Blue came to be a color between green and violet. Ami did know that the colors meanings of aquamarine and blue had been much in common with each other such as brilliance of mind, creativity, deep courage, empathy, friendliness, gentleness, honesty, imagination, inspiration, joy, knowledge, loyalty, maturity, patience, responsibility, seriousness, trustworthiness, and wisdom which all made her who she was and the basic characteristics of her own personality.
Ami had aquamarine and blue clothes in her closet and her dresser—cardigans, dresses, and skirts. Her fashion sense had been bright colors and comfortable in clothes. She came to not to be much into fashion as Minako and Usagi were, but she had her own tastes when it came to clothes. Minako did once go through her clothes with her permission. "Aquamarine and blue suit you with your blue hair and your blue eyes!" she told her. "Believe me! You come to look good in it!"
