There is a slightly odd scene towards the middle, which will more than likely serve a purpose later on. Also sorry about not posting sooner, I had a lot of running yesterday and earlier today. I finally had time to sit down and post it.

Chapter Twenty-Six: Found + Secrets

(Koichi's P.O.V)

I stopped walking and looked up. I saw lightning flash and then I heard the rumble of thunder, the rain wasn't falling yet which was kinda creepy. It wasn't supposed to storm today though, was it? I thought it was supposed to be clear skies all day. I looked from the sky and I began heading to the last place neither Evan nor I had decided to check, we both agreed that we were idiots. We didn't bother to check if she went home or not. We would meet up at their house; we were both hoping that she would be there.

"I really hope that the Demon Lords didn't get her." I muttered the worlds and I bit my lip.

If she got hurt by them then I just hope that she's alive. I should tell them about the Demon Lords, I should've told them during lunch. If they know then they could protect their selves or at least be careful. I really wish that they wouldn't be pulled into this; it would be my fault if they got hurt.

"What about Demons?" I jumped and my head snapped up.

Evan stood in front of me and he had narrowed eyes. I noticed that I had reached their house while I was in thoughts. I gulped, I wanted to tell them but I couldn't figure out how to tell them. How would I tell them without them thinking that I was crazy not to mention would they still be my friends after they found out about the fact that just being my friend has dragged them into a war with Digimon who aren't afraid to kill to get what they want.

"Don't worry about Evan, it's nothing." The next thing I know I was shoved against the stone wall that was around there house and I was staring into angry red eyes.

"Damn it; tell me what the hell is going on Koichi." My eyes went wide when he nearly growled the words out.

"You've been pulling away from us since we came back; I want to know what's going on. I know you're hiding something." I narrowed my eyes at him, why can't he stay out of it just like I stayed out of his business.

"I could ask you the same thing." That managed to make him confused for a matter of moments.

"What are you talking about?" I sighed.

"I found it out by accident." He narrowed his eyes once again.

"What did you find out." It wasn't a question, it was demand.

"Your parents have been dead for four years now." His red eyes seemed to darken and I felt myself shiver slightly, something wasn't right.

"So you know about that huh? Interesting, so one of our most well kept secrets you know about so why don't you tell me yours?" I sighed and closed my eyes.

I had to tell him now. If I don't tell him there might be the chance they stop being my friends, there's a chance that I could lose him and Storm. They're the two who kept me grounded when I wasn't with Koji, Kari, or Takuya. My best friends who I didn't want to lose but were scared that they could be killed by the Demon Lords.

"When Kari came around she came from another world and it also brought along the news of old enemies that call themselves the Demon Lords. They aren't afraid to kill and simply because you and Storm are my friends you two might become a target for them to kill." The grip he had on my shirt loosened but just as I was about to sigh in relief I was punched, my eyes snapped open.

"Idiot, why didn't you tell me?" I placed my hand on my cheek; I could tell if he was angry at me for never telling him or because of something else.

"Why did you punch me?" He rolled his eyes and shoved his hands into his pockets.

"Remember the fight that you and Storm got into a couple of years back?" I nodded, confused why he was bringing that up.

"Do you remember how that even began?" I thought back but I couldn't remember.

"No." He began towards the gate of his house, he looked back at me.

"It was because you thought you had to carry that burden alone, when you found out that you had twin and that your father wasn't dead. She was angry at how you thought you had to carry it all alone." That's right, she was angry at me because she found out by accident.

"How many times has she told you that we're friends, friends stick together Koichi." He glanced at the sky.

"I'm guessing it's going to start soon, its coming. Hopefully it'll turns out better this time." I was confused by his words but he shook his head.

"Our parents were rushing home one day like this, it was lightning and thundering but it wasn't raining. Our parents died on a day like this." My eyes widened slightly but then I remembered how Storm was still missing, was she ok?

"Let's hope Storm is ok, since that day four years ago she's been a bit more reclusive which I think you've noticed by now." She used be a bit more friendly and open with other people, in truth four years ago was when she cut her hair instead of just wearing it in a hat all of the time like she used to.

I rubbed my cheek as I followed after Evan toward the front door. I watched him though, there was still something that he was hiding. His shoulders were tense and he looked ready to pounce for some reason, as if he knew something bad was coming. It also bugged me how he had accepted what I told him without any questions but then again he usually mulled over things before questioning them. He opened the door and we were greeted by a sight that made me cover my eyes.

"You know, you really shouldn't do that in the living room when you disappeared without telling us." I heard Storm let out a rather girly squeal.

"Y-you, why didn't you text me that you were looking for me!" After a few moments I opened my eyes slightly.

Storm now had her shirt back on, but what I didn't understand was the bandages. Her cheeks were stained crimson while she had her arms wrapped her chest. I had a blush myself, we had walked in only to be greeted by a shirtless Storm she had been cleaning wounds of some sort which I didn't bother to look at that.

"We tried to but you wouldn't answer, we even called." Evan shrugged and entered the living room, leaving me at the door since my legs refused to move.

"K-Koichi?" I blinked a few times and looked at Storm, she looked nervous but she looked at Evan when he bent down and whispered something in her ear.

"What?!" Her eyes were wide and her eyes turned to me, her eyes were wide and Evan laughed.

"Now come on Storm, it's your own fault." Her face gained back the red that it had lost, I'll have to get Evan back for this.

"So we found Storm and she's alright so no need to worry right Koichi?" I tried to speak but my lips didn't want to move still rather stunned by what had occurred.

"Looks like Koichi's all tongue tied after seeing you with no shirt, didn't you see her without one back in elementary school?" I covered my face with my hands.

"That was different, we were all little kids then!" We were five years old but it's different now, we're in middle school almost high school!

"Aw so embarrassed~" I really wished that I had waited outside for a few moments now.

"OW!" I looked and I saw Evan standing on one leg holding shin.

"I'll get you back for this one day Evan." It wasn't a threat but a promise and I had to wonder what Storm would do to Evan.

"Well it is your fault!" She narrowed her eyes at him.

"If you would've bothered to check your card you would've gotten the message!" I was confused but Evan's eyes widened slightly.

"I left the card here this morning since I didn't think that I would need it." I watched as they had a slight glaring match now.

"So um what 'card' are you to talking about?" They both tensed for a few seconds but then they sighed.

"Just something that we picked up on our travels, it's kinda like a phone but it's just a messenger type thingy. It was something that we got access to since our parents worked in the government that's all." I nodded slowly.

"Speaking of which, Koichi knows." Storm wasn't surprised then again she had been the one who told me.

"I know, he found me one day when I was upset. I told him, I didn't mean to but I told him." That was first time in a long time that I had seen her cry actually.

"Oh also, I met Kari and Koji on my way back. I really were surprised to find them with Takeru also why did Takeru have dagger?" I froze and my eyes went wide while I saw Storm's eyes narrowed, she hated Takeru.

"Oh um well you see he's working with the Demon Lords." Storm glanced me, confused but surprised.

"The Demon Lords are a group of these Digital Beings who aren't afraid to kill. Kari, Koji, and I are fighting them well Takuya was fighting with us but something happened and he's being controlled for now." Storm slowly nodded before looking at the ground.

"So the cycle begins again huh. Evan." Whatever she was about to say was cut off when Evan placed a hand on her head.

"Later, we'll have this discussion later." Her words threw me off.

"What cycle?" She looked at me and gave me a smile but I could see that it was forced.

"It's nothing, it just deals with something that I can't tell you about. Sorry Koichi, I would tell you if I could." I thought about to the last time she couldn't tell me, the last time she ended up somehow caught up in some kind of something.

"Why not?" She sighed but Evan shook his head.

"It's a really bad memory for us, it's something that always causes us pain when we talk about it. Don't worry about it, maybe one day we'll tell you about." After learning about how their parents died I nodded, maybe it has to deal with their parent's death.

~Elsewhere, Someone's P.O.V~

I have to find her. I looked over the unfamiliar town, I had to find her. I promised that I wouldn't always help her. I said I would always be by her side. I looked down at the photo that I had snatched before I came, if I can find one them then I could also find her. I looked up to the sky when it rumbled, this was a very an ominous sign. It's always foretold a massive battle, it was drawing close. It was coming and the cycle would begin once again. All that's left is to hope that it is better.

"You'll find her so don't worry." My eyes went and I looked for him but I found no one, I was still alone.

Ok so I'm hoping that starting the next chapter it'll finally get into the fights because I think I've arranged things but that may be subject to change since something may pop up like 'wait this needs to happen first' but I'm pretty sure I've laid down all of the ground work. Also sorry ahead of time is the fights are crappy since I can't write them well.
