I'm sorry that about the really long break in chapters. So perhaps this won't excuse it but you see I wrote Chapter Forty Nine and it just got really long so I split it into to parts [which are going to be published as separate 'chapters'] but then I was like, 'I'm going to wait until I have all the parts done to post'. Writing all of the parts took a while, longer than I thought it would. It didn't help any that I got ideas for the parts out of order of how I wanted things to happen.

[Tai's P.O.V]

WarGreymon seemed too take the Digimon like shadows out pretty easily but there were so many of them. The sheer number of them is what made it difficult. It was just WarGreymon against easily a hundred of them. They weren't exactly strong but they weren't weak either, they were somewhere in the middle and the strength of them seemed to change between all of them.

"Geez I knew there would be a lot of them but this is just crazy." I looked at Daisuke yet I was surprised.

Once I chose to believe that he would open the gate I thought he'd get me here and then ditch me if he didn't betray me. I was surprised to see him pull out something that looked familiar but I didn't know why it looked familiar.

"What's that?" He looked at me.

"If we survive this maybe I'll explain what this thing is." I was a bit taken aback when the card itself rippled.

It was as if something had hit because it rippled and splashed outwards. Water cloaked Daisuke's hands and what seemed like veins appeared up his arm and over his armor. I didn't know what to expect but to my surprise he charged towards the Digimon like shadows, I watched as he punched one of them. Was he seriously going to fight them with nothing but his bare hands!?

"Are you crazy!?" I yelled it at him.

"Sit back at watch! Some people don't have partners to fight for them!" I was about to retort when the shadow rippled and stumbled away before collapsing.

I stared stunned not being able to believe what had just happened. He just punched it and it collapsed!? The shadows weren't that weak to the point that one hit, from a human none the less, would defeat them. Wait; was it because of the water that covered his hands? Was that the key to what he just done?

"Hey wait, what do you me if we survive this!" He jumped back as a few shadows merged together and it became huge.

"They dumped some pretty nasty things in here recently. This isn't just taking out Dragomon but taking out a huge portion of the Demon Lords' Army. I'll be surprised if one of them doesn't show up and try to attack us once they realize what's going on." I stared at him.

"You couldn't have told me this before we came!" That would've been something that would've been nice to know.

"Would it have changed your mind?" Before I could respond he ran at the shadow that was the product of at least six merging together.

Would that had changed my mind? That's a good question; I was determined to do something. If I had known would I have still come? If I bring attention to me then they might leave Kari alone. Yet at the same time if they attacked then they might try to use that against Kari since she does care a lot about us.

"Ripple." My thoughts were broken and what I saw next surprised me.

Daisuke punched the shadow and it actually ripped as if it was water. The combined shadow was slow so Daisuke managed to use it to push off of and it hit itself but what surprised me was when he held his hands out a ball of water formed. It was a murky blue color, it was looked dirty and defiled yet for a faint second I swore it was a bright crystal sea blue color but it wasn't.

"Impact!" The ball of water shot forward.

When the ball of water hit the shadow it let out what I think was supposed to be a scream. I covered my ears because the noise that it let out was ear piecing. My head pounded and the noise seemed to echo inside of my head. I hated the fact that covering my ears didn't help as much as I hoped it would. When it stopped I opened my eyes. The head of the shadow hit the ground and Daisuke floated in the air, the water that had covered his hand had taken the appearance of a sword almost that came from his wrist.

"That was really loud." Daisuke rubbed his head.

"Watch your back." Daisuke looked behind him when WarGreymon said it, as WarGreymon had said it he had knocked a few shadows from getting Daisuke from behind.

"Hey Tai, you might wanna watch yourself!" I was confused by his words but I saw it at the last second.

I managed to dodge the attack at the last second. Well I'm at a disadvantage since I can't fight these things like WarGreymon or apparently Daisuke. I dodged a few more attacks, I glanced at them. WarGreymon was surrounded again and Daisuke had a few more merged shadows to deal with, all of the merged shadows though were different.

"So I have to figure this out myself?" I tripped but it saved me from and attack.

They don't seem very Digimon like since most don't have any kind of attacks. I also remembered what Kari said that one time they had taken the form of Divermons. I stared at the shadow and when it flickered my eyes widened. It didn't move and it seemed frozen in place. These weren't actually the fake Digimon! Someone here was controlling them and they were using something.

"Daisuke, I think we have a problem!" If someone was here that could control this many different things and make them do completely different things then they were probably an enemy that wouldn't be easily defeated.

"What's the problem?" Daisuke jumped back but he stayed in the air instead of landing.

I chose to question why he seemed so cooperative and friendly with me later. At the moment I was just glad that he was fighting with us with the realization that this was one person or thing's power. He looked at me when I didn't say anything but stopped and stared at the shadow that seemed frozen. He landed and he took a step so he stood behind it and it turned to face him but then he jumped with the use of whatever let him be in the air, he stood beside me. When it turned to face him it froze again.

"Holy shit, this is something's ability and this isn't even the real thing!" He looked from whatever it was to me.

"Yeah this is a problem yet, an interesting problem." His began looking around.

"What do you mean by interesting?" He crossed his arms.

"The Demon Lords never mentioned something with this ability. They would've been using this long ago if they could've which means either this is someone or something they don't know about or this is a defensive mechanism for the Dark Ocean." I stood up and when I reached for it I was caught off guard.

A small flicker of orange flames appeared before it took the shape of the Crest of Courage. The shadow let out a low whine like sound before is complete vanished. My hand snapped back and the Crest of Courage made of fire disappeared as soon as I did. Daisuke looked at me; he had looked at me as soon as I reached my hand out.

"What just happened?" I had no kind of special powers which I knew for a fact.

"Something that I didn't think that I would ever see, who are you." I froze and I saw Daisuke tense, I had looked at him when the question was asked.

I gulped and I looked over my shoulder slowly. Standing back where the beach suddenly changed to a forest was someone, I couldn't tell what they looked like because they wore a black cloak. Their voice sounded distorted and far away even though they didn't stand that far away, at most twenty feet away. The distance didn't add up with how far away and distorted the voice sounded.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" Daisuke took step forward but he froze.

I would've asked why but I could see why. The person had raised their hand and swiped it in a line in front of them. I couldn't tell if they were real daggers that suddenly appeared or what since they were just at that distance when I couldn't tell for sure. If the person could summon the daggers like that they could probably send them flying like that as well.

"Stay where you are, any quick movements then you all will regret it." When the person spoke I glanced back to WarGreymon to see if he was still fighting.

Yet the sight I saw made this situation all the more tense. WarGreymon had reverted back to Agumon; the shadows no longer in the form of what could've been mistake as Digimon silhouettes. They had turned into what looked like rods and they were stuck in the ground around Agumon caging him, it was kind of like one of those circular tent things. Spears floated in the air around him outside of the cage.

"Why are you here? The Demon Lords claimed this place as there's a year ago." The person gave short laugh.

"They don't get to call this place there's, this island is mine and if they have a problem with it then they can come after me." I don't think she knows who she just technically challenged.

"You don't know who they are, do you?" At Daisuke's words which sounded a bit condescending, a dagger shot forward with a flick of a finger and it stopped seconds away from his throat before he had time to react.

"I know perfectly well who they are. Daemon was here for a year and I've been here for the better half of my life." We pushed Daemon here thinking no one was here but obviously some was here so what happened between the person and Daemon.

"You work with them don't you?" At Daisuke's accusation the dagger had a companion; two daggers were now seconds before striking him.

The daggers weren't made from shadows; they were actual daggers so they could cause quite some damage then again I wasn't sure if that was any better since the shadows were physical and could actually hit and be hit. The blades were black though and the hilts were a greyish silver. I don't know how Daisuke could be so calm with the daggers being so close. He could be struck in the blink of an eye.

"Don't even insinuate that I work with those filthy creatures, Daemon in practical." Well whoever the person is they hate the Demon Lords, especially Daemon.

What should we do in this kind of situation? We were pretty much at the person's mercy. We couldn't attack blindly because we didn't know what they could all do and considering what their power has already displayed I wasn't sure we should underestimate them. The fact that the person survived here even when Daemon showed up meant something.

"Ok so you hate them, so do we so why don't we talk calmly and without being a second from being killed?" Daisuke raised his hands slowly, palms open and held up.

The blue veins that covered him receded to what appeared to be the water like gloves that covered his hands before they formed the card. What further surprised me was when his current appearance vanished and was instead replaced with a different outfit. He now wore a black t-shirt that had a design at the bottom that looked like splatters of something and black pants. A black wrist band on his left wrist and the goggles now hung around his neck. The card that had just been blue with some kind of symbol was now completely solid and had black around the edges.

The daggers disappeared and a short glance over my shoulder revealed that Agumon was no longer caged and the spears were gone as well. I looked back to the figure, I wasn't so sure if I wanted to take my eyes off of them. Yet I looked when I saw shadows flicker in the side of my eye, the card was swallowed in a ball of shadows and I saw Daisuke gulp.

"If you mean no harm then you won't need such a dangerous thing." I was confused by her calling the card dangerous.

"How is that card dangerous?" Daisuke gave me a looked, he seemed stunned.

"You seriously don't know about what that thing is? Your sister has one and you have no clue what those things are?" I blinked.

"It's news to me that Kari has one." He groaned and grabbed his hair.

"When I heard your world didn't have communications I was seriously under the impression that your world knew things at least! Did your Digital Ruler not tell you anything?!" I gave a sheepish laugh as I scratched the back of my head.

"Well, I never met the Digital Ruler." His hands fell and he just stared at me.

"Seriously?" I nodded.

"I mean I met Azulongmon once but he didn't say much and I'm not sure he's whatever you call a Digital Ruler." He reached towards me but didn't touch me.

"You know nothing and you just charge into this blindly!?" He closed his hands into fists and I felt like he wanted to hit me.

"Well are you two going to fight?" He stopped and looked back to the person.

"Tell me oh Mysterious Person that you aren't a least bit surprised that he knows nothing and he still charged head first into this!?" The person shook their head.

"I'm not surprised; the Digital Ruler died many years ago and used what remained of his strength to stop his world from completely disappearing into the void." I was surprised hearing that and Daisuke blinked.

"Is that why the Digital World is prone to so much trouble?" The person nodded, I noticed that the person had drawn closer to us.

"That is a reason why but the main reason lies with the group of DigiDestineds before your group." Hearing that surprised me, Hiro did kind of unintentionally hinted at that his group had both solved and caused problems.

"Who are you and why do you claim this place as yours?" The person stopped and crossed their arms.

"I already told you why I claim this place as mine; I've been here for over half my life." Daisuke sighed; I could tell he was starting to get annoyed.

"Why are you here? Why would you choose to live here, alone in this world?" The person laughed again.

"Choose? You think I chose to live here? This was no choice. I was sent here by Daemon and I've been trapped here since I was five years old. I'm surprised I've lived this long, I've survived here for nine years already." Nine years, they've been here for nine freaking years.

"How did you survive this long on your own?" Daisuke sounded almost awed for some reason.

"I don't know how I've survived this long but I can tell you that I've been trying to get out of here for a long time. I even managed to skim his world and somehow called a DigiDestined here. I was hoping she'd help me but before I could even get to her she was rescued." I tilted my head as I thought about that.

Does that mean that this person had been the one who called Kari here?

"Ok, you still won't answer who you are. You haven't answered that yet." The person laughed slightly.

"I asked you two first but you two have yet to answer me so why I should I answer that question?" Well they did have a point.

"I'm Tai Kamiya; I'm the DigiDestined of Courage." The person shifted almost seeming surprised for some reason.

"Daisuke Motomiya; can't tell ya what I'm the DigiDestined of because I never learned but I can use water thanks to the Digi-Element Card." The person who had been slowly creeping towards us stopped.

"Daisuke Motomiya?" The voice wasn't altered anymore and I was surprised; the voice was soft and it sounded between surprise and awe.

"Yeah got a problem with me or have you also heard about me working with the Demon Lords?" I expected the person who I was pretty sure was girl to attack him but she stayed still.

"Did you grow up in an orphanage after an accident at the hospital you were born in left both of your parents and family dead?" Daisuke tensed and he glared at her.

Was that his past? That wasn't anything like the one I knew, the one I called Davis. If that was his childhood then I couldn't blame him for some of the things that he had done, mainly one thing that I remember Kari telling me he teased her about. Kari had been teased about having so many people who liked her but feeling so alone. He probably had no one.

"Who are you and how the hell do you know that!" The shadow ball expanded slightly before it was destroyed.

His card gave off a violent black glow and rippled once more. He had the armor back and the veins were back. He looked ready to attack her but the way she had just spoken so nonchalantly about that would've been enough to have me attacking her to if I was in his place probably.

"I'm glad I stayed here now." Her words probably wouldn't have been heard had this place not been so quiet, actually it's kind of unnerving how quiet it is now that I think about that.

"Answer me now before I do something, I really have a foul temper now of days." She raised and her hands removed the hood.

I blinked a bit surprised. She had red hair that was messy and looked like it was cut badly but I would probably be safe to assume that she probably cut her hair with something other than what was normally used. She had black eyes and to my surprise a few tears had fallen but she quickly wiped them away. She reminded me of someone but I couldn't put my finger on it for some reason.

"My name's Nori Izumi, I was sent here when I was five years old by Daemon." I was surprised to hear 'Izumi' while I noticed that Daisuke had stopped, froze this time.

I looked at him confused and I found that he had wide eyes as he stared at her. Did they know each other? Actually that would explain how she knew about him living in an orphanage. But if she was sent here by Daemon, meaning she was attacked by the Demon Lords probably why did he work with the Demon Lords? Were they enemies or at least ex-rivals or something? It wouldn't make sense if they were friends.

"Izumi, is it a coincident that you have the last name as one of my friends?" She looked at me.

"Um, how much do you know about parallel worlds?" I kind of got my answer from that.

"I know enough to know from your question that you're probably related to him somehow in a different world." She nodded.

"Yeah, in a different world I'm his younger sister." She seemed a bit hesitant, unsure of how to say it.

"I thought Daemon killed you." Daisuke sounded broken and it confused me more on the issue of him working with the Demon Lords.

"If you thought he killed her why did you work with them?" Daisuke's arms dropped and he curled his hands into fists.

"They knew from the time I was born. They found me when I was five, they decided that if I fought for them and did everything they wanted then the only friend that I ever had would live but if I didn't then my only friend would die." I didn't have to ask who his friend was, it was kinda clear that his friend was Nori.

"I kept working no matter how much I hated it. I continued doing whatever they wanted, they used me to attack Kari and they hoped that perhaps she'd just die before she was old enough to know or do anything." He shoulders shook and his head was hung.

"Just when they ordered me to kill someone I was walking with Takeru, he was supposed to be my partner yet again. He mentioned that Daemon 'did what he should've done years ago and killed the girl that kept some puppet dancing to their every whim'." My eyes widened and it clicked.

"That's why you betrayed them." The only reason he worked for them was gone.

"Daisuke, you know what happened back home right? Are the others ok?" Daisuke nodded.

"Y-yeah, everyone's fine." I was surprised when he choked on his words.

"Dai, let's go home once everything is all done." I almost laughed when she called him 'Dai' but I didn't.

"If you three survive that long that is." I looked over my shoulder and Daisuke turned around.

Dragomon had come up from under the water when we weren't paying attention. Ah we're going to regret letting out guard drop. A tentacle came at us and I jumped away but I stumbled and fell on my butt against since I wasn't used to sand while Daisuke jumped back and stayed in the air while Nori didn't move, which when Daisuke noticed that his eyes widened.

"Nori!" I was surprised when I heard a laugh; it didn't come from Dragomon since he looked confused.

"There's a reason why I survived in this place Daisuke!" I blinked because Nori was gone and I went to where her voice came from.

She was running up the tentacle that had come at us. How did she do that? Dragomon moved his tentacle and she jumped. As she did so the light of the lighthouse came around, it stopped once it hit her though. The light that came from the lighthouse vanished besides what had engulfed her. Something doesn't seem right. The ball of condensed dark light, however that worked, cracked and when it did I was surprised by what came out.

Nori still stood but I realized something. It wasn't cracks that had appeared; Nori now had wings made up of the black light. With a flap of the wings feathers rained down upon him but they turned into daggers as they approached. Dragomon raised his trident, where he pulled it from I wasn't sure exactly, he spun it and the attack was easily deflected.

"You survived because you stayed inland and lived underground like a mole." Dragomon laughed but then he stopped.

Even I was surprised and confused. The winged Nori disappeared and a Terra Force appeared in Dragomon's face. WarGreymon floated in the air just by where the winged Nori had been. I noticed that Nori sat on his shoulder. What the heck was she doing!?

"You really are annoying, Daemon should've killed you." WarGreymon dodged the attack that was sent at him and soon he was back by us.

"Mind sharing what you're doing with us since you've disappeared and reappeared in complete different locations?" Nori laughed slightly.

"After the battle, it'll be better if he stays ignorant of how I'm doing it too." I wasn't sure but I saw Daisuke nod then it dawned on me; she had no partner so she was defenseless without whatever she was doing.

"So you two are just going to let her fight?" Daisuke grinned.

"Nah, I'll entertain you too Dragomon! You probably don't wanna be in that water though!" Dragomon laughed but he stopped quickly.

The water was gone from under him and raised up on either side of him, Daisuke had held his arms out to his sides and they seemed the water that covered his hands rippled. Well I take it that he can control water other than what covers his hands. Yeah Dragomon probably doesn't want to be in the water if Daisuke could do that.

"Why are you on their side Daisuke? You know Daemon will kill the girl that he has locked away." Daisuke laughed as he made his hands curl slightly, like a claw look and to my surprise the water turned into needle like shapes.

"You're very badly misinformed Dragomon, Water Needle." The water needles launched at him and a few got to him but he was surprisingly fast with his trident and managed to block most of them.

"WarGreymon, get in there and help out!" He nodded and I watched Nori jump from his shoulder.

"Hey Nori, earlier on when I did whatever I did to that shadow thingy what was that?" She looked at me and I faintly saw Daisuke go towards Dragomon.

"It's something that if I'm correct deals with a legend, I don't know much about it sadly. I was surprised to see it because I didn't exactly expect one to come from your world that is rather cut off and isolated from the other worlds." I nodded slightly, not getting everything she said.

"You can't control that can you?" I looked back at the battle when sand was kicked up.

"Nope." She sighed.

"So you're essentially a prime target because you can't attack or defend yourself." I glanced at her.

"Hate admitting it but yes." She shook her head.

"Stay there unless you absolutely have to move." Before I could say anything she ran towards him.

I watched as the air around me shifted slightly, it took on an appearance like the air does when it's really hot. I looked around me and I noticed that there was a dome around me like that. It did feel a bit warmer than it had but it was odd. What's going on? Was this something that happened in the Dark Ocean naturally or should I be worried?

"Where do you think you're going?!" I was confused when I saw Dragomon attack an empty space but after a few seconds my eyes widened.

I looked back to Nori and I saw her jumping around dodging stray attacks from Daisuke and WarGreymon. Illusions, she's using illusions somehow. If she's using illusions is that why she used two daggers instead of just attacking Daisuke right there with just one? The shadows, were they also illusions?

I watched as Dragomon shifted his trident and in the next second he threw it at WarGreymon and he dodged it but it headed straight for Nori. From the way that Daisuke or WarGreymon didn't try to help Nori told me that she must've been hiding herself from everyone. She barely dodged it and when it struck the ground it kicked sand up and she was flung back slightly but she managed to get back up. Dragomon tried to hit Daisuke with one of his tentacles but Daisuke dodged it and he formed the blade of water and managed to cut into Dragomon's tentacle.

"You didn't use that power to fight before so why use it now?" I was surprised to hear that, had Daisuke held back all of the years he worked for the Demon Lords?

"I doesn't matter if I used it or not. Just know that you won't be the one to tell the Demon Lords about the fact that I held back." Dragomon lashed out and managed to grab both Daisuke and WarGreymon with his tentacles.

"Sorry but you don't get to hurt 'em Dragomon!" Everyone looked at Nori.

Cloaked in fire she had charged right into Dragomon. The area around where she hit quickly burned; he dropped Daisuke and WarGreymon and hit her with one of his tentacles. The fire vanished but before she hit the ground Daisuke caught her. She was using shadows so why the sudden shift to fire? Was that an illusion or were the shadows illusions, then again maybe both were illusions.

"Oh wait, don't tell me that the mole is the girl that Daemon held over your head!" Dragomon began laughing and Daisuke didn't even try to dodge the sudden attack; water formed a ball around them and it absorbed the impact of the tentacle.

"You found out that she was here and you came to rescue her! You truly have betrayed them haven't you? A foolish move for someone who knows what they do to traitors!" Another tentacle hit the water; the water absorbed the impact yet again though.

"Terra Force!" Even when it hit Dragomon he barely reacted.

"I'm not some weak enemy!" Dragomon grabbed the ball of water with five tentacles and began to squeeze while he grabbed his trident and started to stab at WarGreymon.

"You three seem to have come here thinking that I'm a weak Digimon probably thought I formed a pact or something with Daemon to stay alive! That's your mistake though!" His spear hit WarGreymon finally and my eyes widened.

"I'm here to watch over the experiments, something that is keeping your world from getting destroyed!" As I watched water leak through his tentacles the words drifted to my mind for some reason.

Skylar, his partner is Dragomon and he was the DigiDestined of Light.

Dragomon wasn't just working with the Demon Lords but he's the partner of a DigiDestined. A DigiDestined that fought the Demon Lords and is now obviously working for them, I hadn't thought that he would actually work with them but he was. It was pretty obvious now looking at this. I thought it would be easy to get Dragomon but it wouldn't be easy. He wasn't just a Digimon who got so high up in the Digivolution Chain on his own but he was someone's partner.

"We made a mistake." I sank to my knees.

We attacked without knowing everything which left us open for something which turned out to be this. I hadn't even thought about the possibility that he was Skylar's partner even though I knew his name at the time when I learned who Skylar's partner had been. I charged in reckless hoping to help Kari somehow but it's only made a mess.

I watched as Dragomon flicked his trident, WarGreymon was flung to the ground and reverted back to Agumon. Dragomon then turned to look at his tentacles that had crushed Daisuke and Nori. I had to do something but I didn't know what to do. I curled my hands into fists. I have to do something because I was the one who said that I wanted to defeat him but I dragged them into this and even if Agumon attacked which in a way was me but I hadn't really done anything.

"If you could be taken out by me then I don't understand why the Demon Lords even wanted you in the first place, Daisuke." I stood up and not caring what might happen I charged out of whatever Nori had done.

"Let them go!" Dragomon turned to look at me but he just laughed.

"What are you going to do if you I don't? You have no power by yourself. You're not like the Warriors or like those that bear the Digi-Element Cards. You have no strength." He raised a tentacle and I narrowed my eyes.

"You have to rely on a partner to fight." I refuse to be the weak link here.

"Even if that's true that doesn't mean that I'm weak." The weak would've turned and ran.

"Aw look at you trying to be brave, just be like Hiro and run with your tail between your legs so you can live another day." Even if a part of me wanted to run I wouldn't.

"Oh so interesting, it was said that it was a mere legend but it does exist tis only a prelude." I was confused but I watched as once again the Crest of Courage appeared.

"That explains it, you're Courage." His tentacle came towards me but something happened that I didn't expect but I don't think he expected it either.

The Crest of Courage grew slightly and as soon as the tentacle even touched it the tentacle was lit on fire and didn't get passed it. Dragomon pulled his tentacle back and was quick to put it in the water but I was surprised to see the fire still burn even once it was in water, the fire crept up the tentacle as well.

"Terra Force!" My attention turned to WarGreymon.

I was surprised to see him in the air but as soon as the attack was sent towards Dragomon he reverted to Koromon and fell from the sky. I raced towards him and I caught him before he hit the ground. I was confused what happened. Koromon gave me a small smile.

"I managed to get one last burst out, I'm gonna take a nap now Tai." Koromon thankfully didn't vanish but he really did fall asleep.

I turned around to face Dragomon; he had actually been hurt by that last ditch Terra Force. His tentacle was still on fire and he didn't seem very pleased by it either. Despite it being on fire he grabbed his trident and was going to attack me but he howled in pain and I looked. The tentacles that held Daisuke and Nori had been cut and Daisuke emerged out and I saw fire shoot through the sky and hit the trident. To even Dragomon and Daisuke's surprise the fire tore through the trident and the spear like end fell to the ground.

Nori floated in the air coated in the fire. She gave a weak laugh before the fire disappeared and she passed out. The cloak that she had worn had either burned away or disappeared. She crashed into the ground but it seemed like the sand absorbed most of the impact and she hadn't been that high up.

"Two out of three combatants fell. Surely this isn't all that the fighters have to offer." Daisuke's shoulders shook.

"Ya pissed me off now Dragomon." I watched as the blue veins let of a glow they turned to a brilliant sea blue, Daisuke seemed almost surprised but he didn't hesitate.

He was covered completely in water and he shot towards Dragomon and even to Dragomon's surprise he tore clean through Dragomon's shoulder and once behind him he summoned another ball of water but it was bigger and when it shot at Dragomon it made Dragomon go forwards and stumbled backwards since he had been in mid turn.

"You wanna know the reason why the Demon Lords wanted me on their sides so desperately that they took a hostage?" Daisuke was angry and the water seemed to reflect it because it grew violent and darkened some.

"Yeah I do because you're weak, you can't even defeat me." Daisuke raised his hand and held it towards Dragomon.

"I'm one of those people in the prophecy that was foretold to bring the downfall of the Demon Lords." My eyes widened hearing that, not having expected him to say that.

"The reason why I'm weak is because I haven't used this power since the first time I got it." The ocean behind him rose up and it formed what seemed like an eight headed beast, a hydra if I'm correct.

"Sorry Tai, you wanted to be the one who defeated him probably but he pissed me off." After his words the hydra snapped at Dragomon.

The hydra tore into him leaving behind cuts and even two tentacles were completely taken off and one bit into Dragomon's throats. Dragomon's eyes widened but within a second he exploded into data. Ok so making Daisuke angry was probably one of the worse things someone could probably do. The water fell back down to the ground and Daisuke nearly fell out of the sky but he brought himself back to shore and he stumbled to Nori's side and I went over too. With Koromon held by one hand I helped Daisuke support himself.

"So you really are a good guy huh?" He gave a stupid grin, something that I was used to from Davis.

"Situational good guy I guess." It was a bad joke but I chose not to point it out.

Once to Nori he let gravity take over and he fell to his knees. He looked her over but something caught my eye. I sat Koromon on the ground and I was careful as I moved some of her shirt. The back of her shirt was in tatters leaving most of it uncovered and making me wonder how it stayed on her. Shards of what looked a red gem were embedded into her back. When I touched one I snatched my hand back, the gems were scolding hot.

"What's that?" Daisuke was now looking at the gem shards.

"You're asking me after criticizing me about not knowing things." He shot me a look before touched one of them, he too snatched his hand back.

"Shit that hot." I gave him a look.

"Nah I snatched my hand back because it was freezing." He glared at me; I probably shouldn't provoke him after seeing what he just did to Dragomon should I?

"It's what kept me alive for so long." We both looked to Nori when she spoke; she opened her eyes ever so slightly.

"When I was thrown in here I should've died but I didn't want to, I had to get back to my best friend who as far as I knew would never have another friend because people viewed him as a monster or demon." Her words were soft and she seemed to have trouble keeping her eyes open.

"One of the Digimon that were acting Digital Ruler for Tai's world was here; he had been sealed in here by Amaya and the others. All of the Digimon that lived here were either turned to fight for the Demon Lords or fell victim to Amaya's experiments." She curled her hand into a fist, sand being clutched within her hand.

"Amaya found me half dead and instead of letting me fall victim to her too he saved me. He saw my will to live and decided to save my life. One of his Digital Cores had been shattered and instead of letting it go to waste he implanted the shards into my back." She sat up slowly and she released the sand from her hand.

"Wait, are you talking about whoever Azulongmon worked with?" She nodded.

"One of the other three, he was the most foul-tempered one though and he usually didn't care about anything. I don't know why he chose to save my life but he did. I'm far from mastering the power that I gained when he implanted the shards into my back; it still causes a nasty recoil. It's less and less every time though and I've trained with it so I can use it for about twenty minutes before I can't anymore." I was surprised when her wounds started to heal.

"It also gave me an unnatural healing speed; I heal and recover far faster than a normal human." She shouldn't have survived but she did.

"Where is he now?" Daisuke's voice was blank.

"He's dead; he died a few years ago after teaching me the ins and outs of this world and how to survive. I mean at times I can sense him since a part of him is still alive in the shards that are in my back." She placed her head in her hands.

"What were you doing earlier?" She looked at Daisuke.

"Illusions, they're my main power. I figured out how to use heat without hurting myself a while ago so I know how to cause mirages of sorts you could say." So I was right then, she was using illusions.

Before we could ask or say anything else she let go of her head and her head shot up. Her eyes darted around the surroundings as if she had heard something. There was no sound though besides the water settling. Then again she was used to this world so she might've heard something abnormal that I might've not heard or thought was normal.

"Nori?" She stood up and I noticed that her legs were a bit unsteady.

"We're not alone, someone else is here." Daisuke looked around, a bit surprised.

"How do you know?" She took a step forward but she stumbled slightly but caught herself.

"I've been here for nine years Daisuke, I know how this world feels and I now when a portal is opened and when someone enters this place by now. To survive I have to be able to tell when I'm not up against those that dwell here and are instead against those that come here for some reason."

Sorry about that fighting scene, I feel like that was fail.
