Okay. Chapter 17! I never really thought I'd put so many chapters. I just started this for fun but well, you guys seem to love it. I'm going to update chapters alternative days of the week because I started a Wattpad fanfic called Together, Forever by lookimcrazy (That is me actually, I mean that username is mine, I mean- I think you get the idea). If you guys want to, go check that story out too.
To anyone out their who's wondering, the characters are 17 years old.
DISCLAIMER: I don't own any of the characters or songs, I'm merely just borrowing them.
Now, here we goo!
Percy:
Annabeth started to act distant from me lately. What did I even say to her? Did I say something bad?
Do I smell bad? No... all good!
But why? She became my best friend over the months and ever since the day we got the invitation for the gala she's been distant, very distant. I tried to talk to her but she just shrugs and goes back up to her room or into another room away from me. For example, our last conversation went like this:
Percy: Morning Annabeth! What's that?
Annabeth: Um- I- see you later.
And that was nearly a week ago! I feel bad. Why? Well, I used to act the same way with Annabeth five years ago and that led to us not talking or even look at each other for a long time. What if we won't talk for another five years? No that can't happen. Right? Besides, we have to talk at the gala anyway. Maybe then I'll know what's going on with her. All this is giving me a migraine. That's why I decided we needed a guys' day. No girls, girls are complicated.
Anyway, we had a week off school starting today because the school needed refurbishing or something. Woohoo! And the gala was at the weekend.
"I decided we need a break," I announced when the girls were busy in the recording studio.
"A break from what, exactly?" Jason asked.
"A break from the girls!" I said. The others looked at each other, it seemed like they were having a silent conversation without me and then looked at me.
"Okay," Nico said.
"Let me just text Pipes," Jason said reaching for his phone. I plucked it from his hands and waved it in front of him.
"No texting the girls, no calling the girls either. Hand me your phones." I said gesturing them with my palms. After they gave them, I reached for a small backpack and put them all in, to set a good example, I put mine in too. Suddenly, I had a great idea.
"And to add to the fun, whoever gets the first text or call from the girls, will be the band's slave for the rest of the week," I said happily. I knew I wouldn't lose because the rate of Annabeth calling me is zero. Maybe I should worry about Rachel calling me. Eh. She wouldn't. She rarely calls because she's busy all the time like going to rallies for saving the duck-billed platypus or something.
The guys groaned but Nico seemed smug. Jason looked as if he was going to die. Well, he could lose because he always gets calls and texts from Piper, always. He'd be half the time talking to her and ignoring us and she's not even his girlfriend. But we had bets on when she would be though. Just don't tell Jason. Which gives me another point of why we should have a guys' day.
"I'm all in! And I have the perfect idea of where to go!" Leo jumped rubbing his hands.
"Then, by all means, lead the way," Frank said sarcastically.
"Aw, don't be sad, you should get back to your Hazel later," Leo said faking sympathy. Frank turned red. Me and Leo high-fived and laughed.
"Now let's go," Leo said after the laughter died down. He led us through the maze of a mansion and we finally came to a stop at a big golden wall. I wasn't surprised really, Leo always tries to prank us. I rolled my eyes at him.
"A wall? Leo, what are we going to do with a wall? Watch it dry or something?" I asked annoyed.
"We are going to..." He said and took out a small remote from his tool belt and clicked a button. I don't know how he did this but the wall separated like two big curtains and revealed a big room with everything a guy could ask for.
"This." He said placing his hands on his hips, pleased with himself. I think my jaw hit the floor.
"Come on. We don't want the girls to know." Leo said and walked in. We followed him looking around, the walls closed behind us. There was a big couch in front of us with a big T.V. There was an Xbox and plenty of controllers. A little to the left was a mini-fridge. On the other side was a projector and a big white sheet. Towards the right was a big arcade. There was also a wrestling ring, don't ask me why. Then there was a mini-gym, with a punching bag, weights, and everything. There were little vacuum cleaners moving around us. There was a bowling alley too!
I could live here forever, forgetting about everything.
"Who- what- when?" Jason stammered.
"This my dear friends this is Bunker 9. The only place for guys, no girls allowed." Leo said triumphantly. "It was actually a big guestroom or something. Since there were a dozen rooms in this place, we, Apollo, Beckendorf, and I, designed the place into this. You can watch anything on the T.V. What do you think?" Leo asked.
"WOW!" I yelled. "Dibs on the mini-fridge," I said and ran towards the Xbox and took out a coke. Jason took a controller and sat beside me. We started playing Mythomagic. (Let's just think it's a video game, k?) The guys scattered and went to the place they liked and started doing whatever they wanted.
We were in the middle of a very serious match, it was very serious that everyone gathered around us. The backpack with phones was behind me. I heard a ringtone and got distracted.
"Yes! I win! In your face, Aquaman!" Jason yelled, then he noticed the phone ringing. We all gathered around the backpack like it was some type of alien and looked at each other. I finally opened the backpack and took out the phone that was ringing. If it didn't have a cover with the beach on it, it wouldn't have been mine. But it was.
It ringed and stopped, I sighed a breath of relief but then it ringed again, so suddenly I nearly dropped it. I still didn't look at the name.
"So, Percy are you going to answer it?" Jason asked with a smug smile.
"Uh- um- yeah?" I said and looked at the name, my heart felt like it'd explode, I got butterflies in my stomach and my brain felt like it'd melt from the happiness. There was only one person who could do this to me.
Piper:
Annabeth was acting weird. She doesn't stay a millimeter near Percy, I noticed. She never speaks to him anymore. Did they have a fight? That's unlikely. She would've told me. She's genuinely happy around us, except with Percy. She blushes, stammers, and then moves away from him. That's very un-Annabeth-ish. We were in the recording studio, doing some tweaks and edits with Art to our new song.
We finished after a few hours and Art let us go. I decided I needed to talk to Annabeth.
"Hey, Annabeth. Are you okay?" I asked as soon as we were alone.
"What's wrong with me? I'm perfectly fine." She said with a happy smile, even I could've been fooled.
"No, you're not. What's up with you and Percy?" As soon as I said this her face fell.
"Oh, nothing," She said playing with the hem of her shirt.
"Tell me," I demanded in a soft smooth tone. I know I can be very persuasive if I had to.
"It's just that, well, I realized that I have a crush on Percy and I don't want anything between us. We're good friends and that's that. He has quite a rep as a bad-boy and heart-breaker. Remember when he stopped talking to me all those years ago. Nothing's permanent in my life, I thought he'd be but he wasn't, and...I'm scared he would stop talking to me all over again and I don't think I can handle it well this time, with these new feelings and it is... is... making me scared." She said and took a deep breath.
"Annabeth, honey. Not to sound like my mother, but follow your heart this time. Listen to what it's saying. Maybe this time would be different maybe he wouldn't do that again. Maybe he likes you back or maybe he doesn't. If he doesn't then move on. You can't dwell on him forever, can you?" I said
"Okay?" I asked her again. She nodded.
"Now, where are the boys anyway?" I said looking around. They mostly st on the couch goofing off or something but they weren't there.
"I don't know," Annabeth responded. "Where are the girls?"
"Might be in their rooms, I'm exhausted," I said feeling the tiredness. We've been working on the song since morning.
"I really need a nap." Annabeth yawned and stretched her arms. The yawn echoed, which never really happens with all the noise.
"Don't you feel it's a little bit too quiet?" I asked. She looked at me and furrowed her eyebrows.
"Yeah." She said. "Wonder where the boys went. They were here just thirty minutes ago when I came here for water." She said.
"Hm. Maybe they went for something. I don't care. I have an idea, let's have a girls' night, just us and the girls." I said.
"That's great. I'll round up the girls." She said and went upstairs. I went into the pantry and started arranging some snacks. Today was the only day they could relax. We needed to go shopping tomorrow and then go to the spa and then we needed to get the masks. It's a lot of work.
A/N Cliffhanger! Or at least I think it is. What's Percy going to say? Are they going to be friends again? What about LUKE? (though I think nobody thought about him. PERCABETH FOREVA! But I'm cruel) Anyone had these questions? If you did, patience sweethearts, your answers will come soon. But in the meantime, review, favorite, and follow! YAY! It makes my day!
