So, this is the last past that I have. I know this isn't an excuse but does it make me forgiven? I came baring gifts in my return at least [right?]. I still feel really bad and feel like you guys might hate me now.

[Kari's P.O.V]

I didn't know what to make of the sight before me. Takuya and Koji were having some kind of silent conversation while Koichi was watching them. I continued to stare at Storm though. She seemed so strong. Yet if I think about it, she's only cried once since her brother died. She's bottled a lot of things up I bet. We didn't even fully know her past so there could be so much that she's bottled up over the years.

With her palms pressed into her eyes and small tremors racking her body she tried not to make a sound. She was trying to stay quiet and not to cry but why? If she wanted to cry she could, no one would blame her after all it wasn't even days ago her brother died in front of her. The thought made me remember something else she had told us; her world was gone and she had no home to go back to her. Her brother wasn't the first person she's seen die in front of her eyes I bet.

"She's right about one thing; we don't have time to waste." Koji broke the silence with his words and a sigh.

"We'll trust you for now since you seem to know how to get us there." He was the first to turn towards Storm but he stopped.

Storm looked like she was ready to fall apart now. Her palms still pressed into her eyes but she gripped her head. Suddenly I remembered what the Trailmon had said, how we had even managed to get into this place directly without having to find some other way into the Digital World and walking to what they called the Dark Area. The Dark Trailmon is drawn by those who have little or no hope left and it was drawn to her. She's talked about fighting them but did she believe we could win?

"What's wrong?" I was surprised that Koji even asked the question, he had beat Koichi to asking the question.

"Don't worry about me. We don't have time to waste." Her voice sounded so broken but she didn't move.

"This has gone on for far too long. Let's just keep moving on." She let her hands fall, they hung by her sides.

Tears were quick to slip down her face from her eyes. She looked so vulnerable, fragile and broken. She looked like someone who was just ready to just give up but struggling to keep moving on. Slowly her hands curled into fists and she turned around and began to walk once more.

"Come on, we need to get moving." She didn't pause to give us time to question her.

So we wouldn't lose sight of her we started walking, Koichi still seemed a bit unstable but he wouldn't accept any help. Storm stayed a few feet in front of us as if trying to keep separated from us but still in our sights. I didn't like how she acted or how it made an almost awkward descend upon us.

"Storm, what happened?" Koichi broke the silence and Storm stopped walking.

"What do you mean?" She didn't sound like she had moments ago, she sounded like nothing had happened at all.

"Back there, why did you suddenly break down?" She looked over her shoulder and just smiled, it was no different than her others but I realized that it looked kind of broken.

"Fourteen years ago twins were born, their mother died giving birth to them and their father was a mystery. From the time they were born they were shunned and left alone, no one ever trusted them or believed them. Then suddenly they gained someone who loved them, he opened a path for them to make their first friend and eventually a whole group of friends." Her words were soft and it wasn't just me who realized what she saying.

"They finally felt like they were on top of the world and they were so glad to be alive. They had people to trust and relay on, they weren't alone anymore. They managed to live that way for two years but then it was ripped away from them. Two of their trusted friends went crazy and killed one of their friends or so they thought, the friend healed but turned on them and tried to hurt them and their other friends." Her hands curled into fists and began to shake.

"They were so happy when she recovered but suddenly, they were attacked by their friends. Their group was shattered and instead of fighting they got hurt because they refused to fight their friends. Soon they grew bored controlling their friends and they were finally free but the twins couldn't trust any longer, they were scared and wounded. They blamed themselves after all everything has always gone wrong for them and everything they touched had always seemed to have tragedy strike it soon after." I gulped hearing what she said.

"Then the finale day they were all together, they told their friends that they couldn't stay any longer. They didn't feel safe any longer. They thought that perhaps if they left their friends would survive. Right after declaring they were leaving their enemy attacked, instead of trying to run their friends who they had decided to walk away from shielded them. Blackness consumed their minds and then when it came back they saw their world vanishing before their eyes." Her voice cracked slightly and I was beginning to see something, her world hadn't just been attacked.

"The twins had sensed that something had been wrong when they met the two that had betrayed them though, they never said anything. It was their fault and even though one of the twins saw it happen with a gift she has since sealed away she did nothing thinking that it was just a nightmare and that it would never happen because she was too afraid to admit it because she didn't want the good days to end." Her shoulders shook and I knew she was crying.

"She stumbled around a broken world trying to find someone, to know that she wasn't the only survivor. She found one of her friends, wept and apologize only to be told that her friend didn't regret protecting her or meeting her and that he loved her. Before her eyes he vanished and then ripped away from everything she knew she lost it. The twins survived, no one else did though. Left to bear the burden and the responsibility for what happened they've stumbled through life and tried to make amends before carrying out their plan of leaving the worlds so they wouldn't hurt anyone ever again." My eyes widened hearing that, the last words stuck in my head.

"No more bonds or connection, the twins learned that they will only be used against them as weapons. They won't be the cause of anyone being hurt ever again. They have to be strong, they can't show any weakness." The twins she was talking about were hypothetical, the twins where her and Evan.

"It wasn't your fault that your world was attacked." Koji spoke the words while Koichi seemed to be at a lost at words.

"Yes it was!" She screamed the words and we all flinched.

"They wanted Evan and me dead! They knew about this stupid prophecy long before any of us were born!" She turned around to face us, tears fell and I didn't know if her face was red from crying or if she was angry.

"They knew about four of us who play a part in this prophecy! Kari, Evan, me and one of the two we don't know! They left Kari to the hands of her world after powering up her world's darkness, Kari was supposed to die from a sickness after Lilithmon poisoned her mother before Kari was born but she didn't die so they left her to the festering darkness!" My eyes widened hearing the part about my mother.

"The other one is probably long dead! This is just hopeless! The fact that I'm even involved in this means that it was doomed from the start!" She fell to her knees with tears falling down her face.

"It's not hopeless." She tried to glare at Koichi when he spoke but it didn't look threatening or angry, it looked more like she's hurting.

"It is hopeless Koichi. Nothing can change that." She gave up on glaring at him and just stared at the ground.

"You think it's your fault that your world was attacked but it wasn't, they would've attacked that world regardless if you had been there or not. They attack worlds because they got bored, if they had been your friends or so you had thought why didn't they just kill you and Evan? They destroyed your world because they wanted to and because they were probably bored." Koichi made his way towards Storm; he was suddenly steady on his feet.

"Lies, I'm not going to comfort myself with lies. They don't do things halfway; they wanted us to suffer before killing us." Koichi kneeled in front of her.

"If it's a lie then tell me, wouldn't it have been worst if they had killed you when you and Evan didn't know what it meant to have friends, to have died alone?" Koichi sounded like he almost understood her but he couldn't understood her.

"Why would they give you and Evan a reason to hate them and to fight them if they didn't want you two to fight them?" That actually made sense.

"They think we're dead. To them, we died with our world." How much of what she said was the truth?

"How can they think you're dead if Leviamon tried to control you?" I was starting to see why Koji didn't trust her, what she said didn't add up and it was actually hard to tell what was truth and what was lies.

"Leviamon is, different than the other Demon Lords. He's Envy and he knows that I'm alive, he didn't know about Evan. He hasn't told the other Demon Lords." Why does it matter if he's Envy?

"He wants to try and use you for something doesn't he?" I was surprised that Koji sounded like he believed her.

"Envy, he wants what others have. He's playing with a double edge sword, while knowing that I'm one of the ones that could bring down the Demon Lords he wants to use me to kill the others before turning me against my friends." She grabbed her head and I got a bad feeling.

"He wants us to kill the others but not him. He wants to be the strongest; he's envious of their power. He wants to make me into a pawn but I've fought it for so long." I gripped my Digivice in my pocket and I noticed that Gatomon tensed.

The way she's talking and clutching her head, it gives me a really bad feeling. Was he trying to control her now? Since she's revealed his plan is he trying to use her to get rid of us? Will he try to use her the moment we turn around? Was this why Koji didn't trust her? I understand why he doesn't want to trust her now. What is truth and what isn't, it's hard to tell and she could stab us in the back at the drop of a hat either by her own choice or by Leviamon taking control of her.

"Storm, you aren't at fault but it's their fault. It's all happened because of them not you." Koichi placed his hands on her shoulders and to my surprise her shaking stopped almost instantly.

"You aren't weak enough to fall under their control." The grip on her head loosened before her arms fell.

Something just happened right there. Koichi did something right there. She stared at him and when he removed his hands she seemed to tense but what he did next surprised me. He wiped away her tears and out of the side of my eye I saw Takuya shift and scratch the back of his head. Even Koji shifted, as if he was uncomfortable.

"Why, even after everything I've said Koichi why do you still trust me?" It was something I wanted to know too, how does he still trust her?

"You're important to me Storm; you've never left me alone, no matter my struggle so I'm not gonna leave you alone." My eyes widened hearing his words, even Koji and Takuya were surprised.

"You are Loyalty; you gather your strength from your bonds." Storm closed her eyes and she bit her lip.

"Loyalty huh, alright don't make me regret this Storm but you got my trust. You had your reasons and scars to hide, we all have scars to hide." I looked to Koji shocked; he placed a hand on his head.

"Think you can move still Storm?" I glanced at Takuya before looking at Storm, she stared at the ground.

"Zale." The word confused me.

"My name it's Zale Aleister; before my mother's Digimon gave us a last name we had no last name." My eyes widened slightly, she told us her actual name.

"Aw, what a touching scene." I knew that voice.

"Did you know, even if you kill a Digimon they can keep coming back over and over again? It's takes a lot for a Digimon to be completely deleted." I looked over my shoulder.

"Bet you never saw that you'd see me again." He couldn't be here.

"You were sucked into that gate." He laughed slightly.

"You see, that would've been more effective had I not had friends who knew how to open gates. I had been waiting for the right time to strike back but found something much more fun to entertain myself with." Why was he here?

First it was Myotismon that popped up. But now it was Piedmon. Why was he here? Wait, was he working with the Demon Lords? As far as I know and from what I've been told there aren't humans who can open gates. Storm can then again I wasn't sure if that was the truth from what she said. She needed someone to open it for her before so she might just able to talk to someone in another world that can open a gate for her. Chrono probably could but she had magic so it was believable for her perhaps.

"Who are you?" Koji stepped towards Piedmon, not even afraid.

"Piedmon! Get away from him Koji!" I surprised by Storm suddenly shouting, let alone the fact that she knew him.

Piedmon laughed yet there was no time to react. The swords seemed to vanish but in a matter of seconds they were flying at Koji. We were all caught off guard by his sudden attack but we shouldn't have been. We shouldn't been ready for an attack since we're against the Demon Lords. Koji jumped to side but they turned towards him, that's right those might as well be heat seeking missiles.

"Gatomon!" Takuya made a move as well but they were all beat to the point.

The swords were knocked off course by a bolt of electricity. The electricity went fuzzy then to my surprise Storm formed and she sparked slightly. I knew from the fight that she could use electricity but that surprised me. It surprised the others as well but Piedmon only laughed again.

"Well, well, well if it isn't Spark! I never would've thought that the top of Runner of the Generation would be here!" My eyes widened hearing that.

"Spark Gallant the renowned Runner." Storm narrowed her eyes at Piedmon and her hands sparked a bit more.

"No wonder you guys made it in here! It's all thanks to her that you've gotten this far!" I narrowed my eyes at him; it wasn't only because of her.

"Oi Sparky, why won't you just admit that no matter what you ain't going to amount to much for them and just join us already? Did ya know that Lucemon knows how to bring Kain back?" I was confused when he said that.

Storm seemed to freeze and her eyes widened. Yet it must've been a ploy because suddenly the swords were flying at her. She seemed to notice but she didn't move yet they were knocked away from her not by Koichi but by Koji. I was surprised that Koji protected her even though they didn't seem to get along. I gripped my Digivice and looked to Gatomon, she nodded. She could fight.

"Let them handle this Kari." I looked at Takuya who whispered the words and pulled on my arm.

"What?" I stared at him surprised.

"Koichi can barely stand and my D Tector cracked in the last fight somehow." I couldn't believe him.

"Leave Koji and whoever her real name is with him?" He seemed a bit shocked and he glanced at them.

"Kari, I believe what she just told us was the truth. I think even Koji believes her at this point. You trusted her before so don't stop now." He looked wrong to me with how serious he looked.

"Let's go, leave it to them." I looked at Piedmon just into time to see him avoid an attack from Koji.

"Fine." I wanted to believe her but something just bugged me, something still didn't seem right to me for some reason.

Storm seemed to snap out of whatever had overtaken her and she seemed angry, angrier than I had seen before. She sparked violently and she turned into a bolt of electricity and went towards Piedmon. I didn't want to but I turned and followed Takuya and I noticed Koichi wasn't happy with leaving but he left. I glanced back and I saw the attack rushing towards us from Piedmon but Storm appeared and a web of electricity absorbed the attack.

"We'll meet up in the dark, Koichi you can sense so lead!" I was confused but she charged Piedmon before questions could be asked.

"What did she mean Koichi?" Koichi veered to the left and we followed after him without an answer and he seemed to hesitate.

"Darkness is drawn to darkness." His words made it clear and made me feel slightly stupid for not have realizing it; he can sense the Dark Terminal.

"Why didn't you say that earlier!?" He stopped when Takuya nearly yelled at him.

"It, I didn't want to admit that I can sense that place. In truth I didn't realize what it was that I sensed until she said it actually. I just sensed something that had a dark hopeless presence. I didn't even think of the possibility." He looked at us.

"Storm, you guys may not trust her but please. If not for her then for me, I trust her and I know she can be trusted. At times she lies and dodges question. She spoke of her friends before but never told me about being from a different world. Every lie she's told has have some kind of truth to them, some more than others." He curled his hands into fists.

"Who's Kain then?" Koichi sighed and closed his eyes, his fists tightened.

"Her first friend after me, he was the strongest DigiDestined of her world and he carried the title of DigiDestined of Faith." His tone sounded a bit angry and something else but I couldn't place it.

"Evan once teased her about Kain, said that he was the first boy that she liked too." When he said that, Takuya grin for some reason.

"You know, you sound kind of jealous Koichi." There was the faintest tint of red on Koichi's cheeks suddenly but he glared at Takuya before he began to walk again.

"We don't have time to waste, let's go." He couldn't be jealous could he?

He didn't like Storm could he? I mean the last thing I knew he liked me. As we began walking again I realized what he had said, if we didn't want to trust her for just her then to trust her for him. The way they acted, they weren't just friends were they? I shook my head to clear the thought from my head. That wasn't the thing to be focusing on right now.

"Do you think it was the right call to leave her and Koji back there Koichi?" Koichi sighed and shrugged at Takuya's question.

Koji's P.O.V

I gulped and tried to keep the Spirit Evolution up. This wasn't good. I couldn't hold this for long but this guy wasn't going to go down easily. I noticed that Storm seemed to be slowing down and she seemed more and more weary of approaching him and guarded her side a bit more. She also wouldn't become fully solid either.

"Neither of you are in the condition to fight." When he pulled out the handkerchief I was confused.

"You're right but that doesn't matter." She touched down and became solid; she stood in front of me.

I was surprised to see that the side of her shirt and jacket was soaked with blood. Blood also stained her shoulder and ran down her arm dripping onto the ground. When did she get hurt? I felt the Spirit Evolution drop and I stood unsteady on my feet. I was about to try again but I felt the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

"If you survive tell Lucemon that I'll never work with him, even if that means I die." Electricity sparked off of her and it burned the ground slightly where it struck.

I flinched when I saw a bolt coming for me and I tried to move but I couldn't. I wasn't in good condition thanks to having gotten thrown around like rag doll by Barbamon and from when Storm threw me into a tree. I closed my eyes and braced for what would come. It was going to hurt and I knew that it would hurt.

Kari's P.O.V

Koichi had sunk to knees unable to walk anymore but we had reached the Dark Terminal. All we had to do was wait for Storm and Koji. We were about to relax when there was a sudden resounding crash. I had a bad feeling when I felt the hairs on my body stand up. I looked over my shoulder and I saw that a bolt of lightning had come from the sky and struck something. It was white with flecks of blue; it was bright enough that I could see it from here.

"I hope that was Storm." Gatomon nodded at my words and Takuya seemed stunned for words.

"That was stronger than what she used on Barbamon." I gulped hearing Gatomon's words.

Why would she use something like that against Piedmon? Piedmon wasn't as strong as Barbamon so why would she use it against him? Why didn't she use that against Barbamon when we faced him? Piedmon wasn't stronger than he was last time was he? Wait, we didn't even fully fight him. We sealed him through a gate so we just removed him but didn't defeat him. Was he stronger than what I thought he was?

"What's happening over there? Why would she use that on Piedmon but not on Barbamon when we faced him?" I took a step towards the path back to them but someone caught my arm with a glance over my shoulder I saw that it was Takuya.

I also noticed that Koichi had turned to look at the direction where the lightning bolt had struck. He was staring but he didn't make any kind of move. He had stood up but he still looked unstable on his feet. I looked at Takuya and he seemed torn. He wanted to go I could tell but he couldn't, he couldn't fight at the moment.

"I can fight so you should let us go!" Gatomon cut me off from saying anything and Takuya looked at her.

"D… come…" The voice was broken up but it made us all jump.

Takuya let go of my arm and he quickly reached into his pocket. He pulled out his D-Tector and I saw that the screen was cracked slightly and there seemed to be a few other cracks but nothing major. The symbol of Light, Koji's symbol, was shown on the screen but it looked a little messed up thanks to the crack in the screen.

"Koji?" Koichi stumbled his way over to us and he sounded alarmed.

"Not Koji… coming… broke… power barely… work." I was confused and I couldn't make out what it meant but I knew that it wasn't Koji.

"Storm?" Koichi called her name softly and we all waited for some kind of response but all we got was the symbol fading.

"Something bad happened Takuya! We have to go and make sure they're ok!" I didn't like that we split up in the first place and now something happened and we're separated.

"They're probably fine Kari, Koji's D-Tector might've broken too and you saw what she did in the station so she might've been making it work." Takuya was confused by Koichi's words but he nodded.

"I get why Koichi trusts her but Takuya, you didn't trust her so what changed?" Something didn't feel right trusting her for some reason.

"You trusted her so why don't you trust her now Kari?" I didn't like Takuya turning my question on me.

"I don't know ok, maybe it's the fight and the fact that I don't know what to believe anymore." I wanted to trust her but I don't know anymore, it's seems odd how she acted.

"I think's a lot easier than that." They froze hearing the voice as did I.

The voice came out of nowhere and there was no one around us. It wasn't Piedmon or any of the Demon Lords that we've met at lease. It sounded familiar but at the same time it didn't. I looked around the Dark Terminal but there was nothing or anyone besides us.

"You can sense it, the shifting. It's something that harmony can sense." The voice seemed to echo but at the same time it sounded so close.

"Who are you and what do you mean!" My voice echoed making me realize how empty this terminal really was, I saw Takuya shiver slightly.

"Something selfless has happened; someone has given Zale back her light." The words confused me and then suddenly a swirl of light appeared.

Soon the light manifested into a being. It looked like a female cloaked in light, a dress made of light went past her feet and she had wings of light. Her hair glowed or was light itself, she had piecing blue eyes. Something about her was familiar to me. She reminded me of someone that I knew for some reason. I don't know who though, it's a blurry image and I can't grasp the name.

"How do you know her?" The being looked at Koichi and she gave a soft smile.

"It's unimportant how I know her but I know her like I know Kari." She looked at me and I was still confused.

"You don't remember me though do you Kari?" I shook my head slowly.

"It's to be expected after all, most don't remember me." With a flash of light she seemed to disappear but it didn't.

I rubbed my eyes but then I stared. There floating in front of me was someone I had forgotten about. Wings of lightly rapidly moving behind her to keep her suspended in the air, the wings were that of a fairy's wings. She wore a dress of white that went past her legs and her hair was a light yellow and it gave off a faint glow and her eyes the brightest and softest blue I had ever seen. She was now small enough to fit in the palm of my hand.

"Where'd it go?" Takuya was looking around but I stared at her.

"It's nowhere to be seen, where'd it go?" She flew over and passed in front of both Koichi and Takuya, neither saw her though.

"You're the person from back then, the one who helped me during the fight with the Dark Masters." She floated in front of me and nodded, Takuya and Koichi were surprised and confused.

"Only a select few can see me. You, Zale, and Kain are the only three that I've met that can see me when I'm in this form. This is my true form." I was confused myself, why were there so little who could see her like this?

"Why can't more people see you in your true form?" After I spoke I realized something.

She said that Kain could see her. Was it the same Kain that Piedmon had brought up, the one that Storm knew? Was that the same Kain that was Storm's first friend in her world?

"That's a reason that you need not know. You can sense it though, you can sense that Zale's changing and awakening something that she locked away." I blinked still confused.

"Who are you talking to Kari?" I looked at Takuya; he was giving me a look that clearly said he thought that I was crazy.

"Yeah, it's just the three of us." Koichi seemed worried too; they seriously can see or hear her.

"Good luck Kari, trust Zale." She smiled before she flew towards the track, with a flash of light she disappeared but the Dark Trailmon appeared.

Takuya and Koichi jumped when they saw him suddenly appear. Yet I noticed something about the Dark Trailmon. It wasn't the same as the one we rode here. It had a strip of white running down the length of it that swirled at times; it went from white to a very pale blue to a very pale pink.

"Um, what just happened?" She's not just some spirit like I thought.

"The being that appeared, her true form is that of a small fairy. She helped me before; well she possessed my body before. No one can see her in that form besides me, well apparently Storm can see her as well." Just what was she?

"She's a Creator." I jumped and we looked behind us.

Storm had spoken it but I was surprised slightly. Storm was leaning heavily on Koji and from how she shifted something told me she hadn't walked all the way here. Though I don't think Koji's the kind to carry somebody. Blood stained the side of her shirt and the shoulder of her shirt, blood also stained her face under her left eye as if her eye had bled.

"What do you mean?" Storm closed her eyes and she probably would've fallen had Koji not caught her.

"She's from the original world, the easiest way to explain it is that she's the Mother of the Good. She created the Crests of Light, Hope, Kindness, Faith, and Loyalty." Storm opened her eyes and moved so she wasn't leaning on Koji.

She stumbled and almost fell and even when she caught herself she was unstable. What happened to her? Before anything could be said her left eye seemed to spark for some reason. For a second her left eye wasn't red but a bright sea blue. It was gone as fast as it had appeared though.

"Storm, are you ok? What happened to you?" Storm closed her left eye and placed a hand over the eye.

"I used something that I shouldn't have that's all." She went to take a step but her legs faltered and she fell to her knees.

I curled my hands into fists and I looked at Gatomon when I realized something. Koji and Takuya couldn't fight, their D Tectors were both broken. Koichi and Storm can barely even stand. Gatomon looked tired and had a few small cuts. I was the only one here that hasn't actually fought. Despite being 'Harmony' I haven't done anything to help them really.

"All aboard, who's coming aboard." The Dark Trailmon broke through my thoughts and the others seemed to shift too.

"We need to move, we can't stay here anymore. The Demon Lords were bound to have noticed Storm's attack." That bolt of lightning was Storm then; Koji also had a point about them having noticed her attack probably.

"Where would we go at this point? If they attack here or elsewhere there won't be much difference. No matter where we are we can't fight anymore." Wait, I have that card.

My shoulders dropped though at the thought. I used it but it drained me almost completely the second that I used it. It was no good for a fight. I don't know what it did or how I managed to get rid of the Sangloupmons but I did. I choose to write it off as one of those accidental miracles that can occur in the Digital World.

"If you five want to leave this world hurry up or I'll leave without you. I have no reason to be here besides that Lady Light summoned me here." Lady Light was probably that being's name but I noticed something else.

"Aren't you drawn to people who have no hope?" I looked at the Dark Trailmon.

"Yes I am." I blinked.

"Didn't you bring us here? Didn't Storm summon you because of her lack of hope?" Storm had summoned the Dark Trailmon before because she gave up hope.

"I was drawn to the girl devoid of hope but now she's cloaked in hope, what did change girl?" I looked at Storm, everyone did.

She gave a small laugh; I'm starting to think she might have a touch of split personalities or something. She was distant at first then a shell of a human and now she's had another drastic flip of character. She seemed a bit happier and as if there was something that had happened and just flipped a switch within her or something. It was freaky almost.

"Kain's with me." She gave such a smile that I took a step back confused.

Kain was dead from what Piedmon said. There was no way that he could be with her. The smile that she gave seemed so free and happy. It didn't have carry a hint of pain like her previous smiles. Was this the same Storm that we knew? Was this the same Storm that had broken down not even hours ago and looked about ready to break?

"I can feel him. He's here with me." Her hand fell from her eye and her eye was open.

It was enough to catch everyone off guard. Her left eye was a bright sea blue and it had some kind of symbol within. The pupil was white instead of the normal back and it looked like angel wings spread out from the pupil and there was a ring of white along her eye.

"S-Storm, what happened to your eye?" She blinked at Koichi's question and poked under her eye, the blood that stained her face smudged slightly.

"It's all blurry but my sight's coming back, I used an attack that came at a price. It was the only attack that I knew would hit Piedmon and it would defeat him in one attack. I had to or both Koji and I could've been seriously hurt if not killed. I'm surprised that I didn't go blind my eye, I did the last time but Chrono used some kind of medicine from her world that gave me back my sight." She seemed pained thinking about it.

"I was glad that I got my sight back last time but if I hadn't I would've been fine this time. I won't let anyone else get hurt, what happened wasn't my fault. It wasn't destiny's fault either. It was the Demon Lords' fault. They chose to do that so they're at fault. Had I said anything back then, the only thing it would've changed would've been the bonds that I had." She placed her hand over her eye.

"You called me your friend earlier on Kari, did you mean that? Can I actually be friends with you guys?" With her left eye still covered she glanced at me.

"How touching, the power of friendship can trump everything can't it?" Storm froze where she was and besides her we looked at the new arrival.

"MarineDevimon." I breathed the name out.

I remembered him from when he attacked my world. He worked with Daemon and he was strong but not overly strong. Shakkoumon managed to defeat him by himself though so why was he back? Even if the Demon Lords did seem to be bringing back old enemies why bring one back that didn't really do much damage the last time he was around? I glanced at the Dark Trailmon, he fled and he was gone in a heartbeat.

"Been a long time since we've seen each other Zale, hasn't it?" How did Storm know Marine Devimon?

"Run, quickly." Storm forced the words out and it confused me.

"Cody and Shakkoumon defeated him easily when he appeared in our world, we can handle him." Gatomon and I could do this, Gatomon draws strength form me and I'll just try to give her a little extra to compensate for her weaken state.

"It's not the same one!" Storm cried the words out and seconds later one of the tentacles smashed down on top of her.

My eyes widened and I stared at where she had been. The ground had cracked and there was no sound or anything from her. MarineDevimon began to laugh and I couldn't believe what I had seen. So quick, the attack had been so quick and powerful. Why from just one attack?

"Storm!" Koichi's call sounded between desperate and lost.

"Hahaha, she was nothing in the end! She might've been strong but that's only because she could take pain. I don't even understand how she came to be called the DigiDestined of Loyalty." The tentacle rose up, Storm was out cold and there was so much blood.

I looked away because it made me sick. That couldn't have killed her could it have? It had to have killed her though. Not only Evan but now Storm, not only were they dead but they both died in front of me. I felt my stomach turn and I had to cover my mouth and try to hold down what food I had eaten a while ago.

"She never did have a partner; she wasn't even a DigiDestined in her world! Zeal wasn't a DigiDestined just a mere tag along!" MarineDevimon's words surprised me and I was surprised how well he seemed to know them.

"Who are you even to mock her you overgrown octopus!" MarineDevimon stopped laughing.

Even MarineDevimon was surprised; for once I had the same reaction as the enemy. I looked at Koichi who had called out the insult. He glared at MarineDevimon and he shook from anger. He clutched his D Tector in his hand. If looks could kill I'm pretty sure MarineDevimon would've been long dead, he wouldn't even been six feet under but far deeper than that.

"What would you even know about Storm!?" Koichi took a step forward and I saw a bit of black light start to shine through his closed fist.

"I know more than you ever will." I watched as MarineDevimon picked Storm up with one of his tentacles, she hung there limply.

"You see, she was right about one thing." I barely had time to react.

I hit the ground hard but it could've been worse. MarineDevimon glared and despite it not being the time I was a bit uncomfortable. Koji hovered above me after having tackled me out of the way of MarineDevimon's attack. I hadn't even thought that Koji would manage that in the state he seemed to be in.

"I'm not that disgrace that attacked your world, just because we stay in Mega form doesn't mean we don't have other forms." It struck me when MarineDevimon said it but I was at a loss for words.

"You're Leviamon aren't you?" Koji growled the words out but MarineDevimon smirked.

"Oh my you guys really do have a brain." Koji glared a bit harder at Leviamon.

"You're the one who hurt her then? You're one of those that toyed with her then." Leviamon didn't attack Koji and me but looked at Koichi.

"So what if I did? It was fun too; I was looking forward to see the face she'd make when everyone was gone. I had so hoped to make her my puppet, just like Daemon made Daisuke his puppet. Those who are foretold to defeat us make very strong puppets." Koji stood up but I couldn't find the strength to move.

He ruined her world just to break her. He killed her friends because he wanted her to be his puppet. He wanted to use her. I didn't know what was worse, that it he did it to hurt her and control her or the fact that he was still laughing about it despite how much pain it had caused her. They were truly evil. They were demons that didn't care about anyone besides themselves. As long as it's fun for them then they're happy.

"It was fun watching her all of these years. She grew so envious of people around her, I could've seized control so many times but it was so fun watching her struggle. It was especially funny watching her slowly lose herself to the darkness that dragged her down and threatened to kill her." He began laughing and it echoed in the empty terminal.

"Shut up!" Koichi's roar echoed and it drowned out Leviamon's laughter surprisingly.

"Make me!" Leviamon sounded so confident but he had a reason to be.

Koichi could barely even stand by himself. I sat up and I looked at Koichi but I noticed something. He didn't seem to be having any trouble. I froze though when I felt something creep up and I noticed how shadows flickered slightly. What was about to happen? Something told me what was about to happen wasn't something that could be seen coming.

"Spirit Evolution: Shade." Takuya and Koji were taken aback and even if I wasn't used to their means of fighting I knew that wasn't normal.

A ball of black light enveloped him and shadows surrounded it and engulfed the ball of black light. There a sudden spike in power but at the same second that it occurred the ball of shadows cracked and even though I hadn't closed my eyes everything went black. I couldn't see a thing; it was if someone had turned the lights of the whole world off.

"Dark World." The two words seemed to be both far and near making it impossible to tell where it came from.

There was a crash and then the world rushed back to being visible. The sight that I saw was one that didn't seem like one that I would ever see. Leviamon had one less tentacle and a deep slash across his torso, dark inky blood leaked from both. Leviamon had taken steps back and his tentacle laid on the ground dissolving into data. Koichi stood a few inches above the ground with Storm's limp body in his arms. He held her with one arm because in the other was a lance that was made from shadows.

He looked a lot like Loweemon but what was gold was silver, he also had the Digital Hazard symbol on the back of his hand. Through cracks in the back of his armor what appeared to be wisps of shadows had sprouted to form thing razor looking wings, he had six of those wings. Whatever form he was in allowed him to hurt Leviamon so easily. Leviamon glared at Koichi.

"I don't like that form of yours. It's because of forms like those that we stay in Mega form where we're far stronger." When he spoke Leviamon gave off a dark and discolored glow, it looked like it was supposed to be blue but it was distorted and defiled.

"Dark Deluge!" Right before he fully evolved he attacked and the moment even a small drop came in contact with Koichi he stumbled before falling and he was back to being human.

Koichi's D Tector dropped to the ground and unlike Takuya's D Tector it had many cracks, not just one on the screen and small ones but his had deep cracks. It looked like it was about to fall apart. Even though Koichi seemed a bit weak he still held Storm and I noticed that by some miracle she was still breathing somehow.

"I shouldn't underestimate you brats!" Leviamon was fully transformed now and ready to attack.

"Tail Strike!" His tail came flying at us with an incredible speed.

There was no way we could dodge it and there was no way we could defend against it. Seconds away from being hit a circle of light appeared below the five us. Koichi and Storm were at the center of it though. A thin film of light covered it making it more dome like and to all of our surprise when his tail struck it there was a spark of lightning and his tail didn't smash through it, a crack did form but it was slow to spread.

"That cursed shield, where the hell is Kain! That boy should be long dead by now! I made sure to kill him myself!" I was surprised hearing that because Kain was dead, that was one thing that I knew Storm hadn't lied about because no one would lie about something like seeing their friend die in their arms.

"Sorry 'bout that Leviamon but you see, Zale has faith in me. Even when she trusted no one else, she didn't even trust herself and even when she didn't hold any hope either she still had faith me. Up until the very end, that's what allowed me to take that hit for her in the end." I blinked as what I could say was a ghost appeared.

He wore a dark blue hoodie and black pants, behind him was a circle that had wings unfurled. He flickered slightly and he wasn't solid, you could partially see through him. This was Kain then, the boy that both Piedmon and Leviamon have mentioned. This is the boy that if Koichi was serious was Storm's first friend besides Koichi and the first boy that she liked.

"I take my place as DigiDestined of Faith oh so serious, it's something that gave me a place. Thanks to that title it gave me a home and friends. Zale was the first to accept me, she knew unlike the others about outside worlds and the truth. She never cared." He didn't even flinch when the tail struck the dome and it cracked then again he was a ghost so even if he did get hit it wouldn't hurt him.

"Bye, bye Leviamon. Hope you don't make the mistake of chasing us." Suddenly we were gone.

We weren't in the Dark Terminal anymore and weren't on the ground but instead we floated in air it seemed like. Kain turned to look at us; he looked us over before his eyes settled on Koichi and Storm. He gave a pained smile to Koichi.

"Zale, you did well." With those words he vanished as did the light dome.

I was surprised by our surroundings though when it came into focus. We stood within the Dark Ocean; I knew the feel of this place so I knew it. Why were we here? Why did he do whatever he did and bring us here of all places? Wouldn't it have been better if he had taken us back to the Human World?

"S-Storm?" I looked back to her when Koichi spoke her name softly and surprised.

The blood that stained her shirt was gone and she didn't seem to be hurt any more. What happened? I turned fully around to face them and let the questions disappear momentarily. There was something different about Storm. This would be the second time that she should be hurt but seemed to heal. Her hands should've been burned by Barbamon but her hands are perfectly fine. She should've been killed by Leviamon but she's not only alive but perfectly fine.

"Kain never belonged to my world. He was the son of a Runner, his parents died in my world leaving him to grow up there. He was always different." Storm opened her eyes but she didn't try to move out of Koichi's arms.

"He comes from a world drastically different than our own." I watched as she shifted and curled against Koichi, her head rested on his chest.

"Let me sleep please, if only for this once let me enjoy this." Her words were soft and Koichi's cheeks tinted a bit red.

"Sweet dreams." He whispered the words and she smiled but she soon drifted off to sleep.

"So by some miracle we survived our adventure to the Dark Area." Takuya gave a laugh that I'm pretty sure was forced.

"Are you even sure we're out of the Dark Area?" Koji was quick to shoot that at Takuya who sighed and he sat down.

"We're out of the Dark Area." I looked around our surroundings.

I felt uneasy because this place was never a good place to be. I didn't know the history of this place but it's empty, it's devoid of life besides Dragomon and some of the shadow Divermons. The last time I was here I was attacked. This place also wasn't the best place because it would eat away at a person's mind and could make the darker thoughts and sides come to life. It could twist someone like it's shown before when it twisted Ken, even if that was partially thanks to the Dark Spore.

"How do you know that Kari?" I felt Gatomon place a paw on one of my hands that had curled into fists when Takuya asked the question.

"We're in the Dark Ocean, a world that I'm familiar with." I didn't want to be here, I would rather be in the Dark Area than this place.

Even if I had thought that perhaps we could find something here I had really hoped that it wouldn't come to coming here. I didn't want to come here unless it was an absolute last resort. Even though I knew that Daemon wasn't here anymore I was afraid that he would show up.

"Why did he bring us here?" I remembered how Baalmon told us to come here.

What was here? Was there actually something here that could help us? If it could help us who had put it here, why was it here in this place? This place seemed like it would only hide away the darkest of things, a place where darkness ruled and light died. I hated the Dark Ocean.

So, did I leave anyone out or did I tie this all together pretty good? [Don't question how Chrono fits with the theme, I don't know how she fit into the theme myself but she does because I'm the author and I said so.] So *bows* sorry about the huge break that occurred and I hope you all can find it in your hearts to forgive me for the stupidly long break.
