Chapter Fifty Six: A Step Forwards
[Evan's P.O.V]
I summoned my sword and was about to charge but even the rush of data stopped; when it stopped it became fully solid. Digital Script appeared covering the floor in glowing letters and it crept up the walls. The Digital Script was a glowing purple color and I was surprised by what was written; Containment Field, Level Four. With a flash we were no longer on the balcony but instead somewhere that was completely barren of buildings and everything. The ground just looked like purple water but it had glass over top of it almost yet there were even sparks of electricity below. The area seemed to go farther than I could see.
"What the hell is this!?" Amaya was surprised while her partner, HiAndromon shifted and I tensed.
He was about to attack. It was one thing that I noticed with any type of Andromon, it would often go after the enemy they deemed the most troublesome. It all depended on their 'mission' when it came to deeming who was troublesome. I bit my lip as I watched HiAndromon, his reaction and shifting who his target was told me that it hadn't been Amaya who had created this. Containment Fields had a wide range of abilities, from the appearance of this one I could guess that while being here nothing from the Real World would be damaged and no one could see us or interfere.
"No, wait I know what this is. This is a Containment Field, how can you create these without a computer?" I almost missed Amaya's words because I watched as HiAndromon raised his arms and the two machines like things on his arms began to glow.
When I saw the ball starting to form in HiAndromon's hands my eyes widened. I remember that forming the last time back then. The glow left the things on his arms and I knew what attack was coming. It wasn't one that would be good for us. I only survived that time because a Digimon had hit his arm at the last moment and made him miss; it deleted a whole building and even went further and caused two buildings to start deleting slowly.
"You guys might wanna scatter unless you want to be an easy target!" I shouted the words as I ran towards HiAndromon.
If his attention shifted to me I could dodge it since I've seen it before. While it is really powerful it lacks in speed when it comes to firing. I skidded to a stop when he separated his hands, the ball split in half. One hand was pointed at me and the other was pointed at the group.
"I am not as weak as you think me to be. My attack is not limited to just one target." His voice was mechanical and it wasn't seconds later that the attack was fired.
It came faster than I expected. I jumped and taking what focus I could manage I thought an image of me dissolving into fire like Storm dissolved into electricity. It was but sheer luck I think it worked, my leg would've been clipped by his attack but it dissolved into fire before it was struck though. I bit my lip because I still felt a searing sensation but after doing my best to copy my sister's movements I managed to land a few steps away from where I had been. My leg was still present and besides feeling overly hot and like it was burned it wasn't hurt.
Glancing at Rin and them I noticed that they had dodged the attack, Koushiro had pulled Rin out of the way. Matt's partner glowed as did Izzy's while I saw Koushiro mutter something and a Digimon appeared. The Digimon that appeared in front of Koushiro was made from metal and seemed to just be three gears. The Digimon itself was tinted orange; Solarmon was its name if I remember correctly.
"It doesn't matter what order you kill them in HiAndromon because they're all targets now. We leave no witnesses." I gripped my sword tighter.
"Gabumon, Warp Digivolve to MetalGarurumon!" I was surprised to learn that Matt's partner had access to Mega Level.
"Tentomon, Warp Digivolve to HerculesKabuterimon!" They both had access to Mega Level!?
"When did Tentomon get the ability to go to Mega Level Izzy?" Even if Matt tried he couldn't mask his surprise.
"I learned a little trick while I was talking to Gennai." Two Mega Levels and me against one Mega Level Digimon, I wasn't sure how much I could do against HiAndromon since I had trouble the last time I fought him.
"Solarmon Digivolve to Clockmon, Clockmon Digivolve to Knightmon!" A double Digivolution into just an ultimate level, if he was a Runner then his partner should be able to reach Mega Level.
"You must underestimate us; two Mega Levels, one Ultimate, one card wielder and one defenseless human. HiAndromon, show them why we've remained uncaptured since we started this." I didn't like how cocky she sounded.
"Pasting Copy." My eyes widened when three more of him appeared.
"See, now the numbers are even!" Amaya just started to laugh as if the funniest thing had happened.
The four of them came rushing at us. I couldn't tell which one was the original one but I didn't have time to focus on that or the others. I had to focus on the one in front of me because unlike the Digimon I wouldn't get sent back to a Digi Egg and I doubt that I would get a second a miracle. I jumped up avoiding the blade of humming energy that the HiAndromon had summoned. I almost forgot about my new ability to float so I was taken by surprise by my own ability when gravity didn't drag me back down to the ground.
My shock wasn't the best for me either not to mention my inexperience with this new found ability. I barely dodged the attack and but he did manage to clip my leg, the cut burned and gravity seemed to remember me and I fell back to the ground. I rolled out of the way to dodge another attack. I don't even know how to control my new abilities which despite the fact that it should help me it was hindering me more than helping.
"You ain't that strong huh?" Holding my sword up and I blocked the energy blade that I wouldn't have been able to dodge this time, he had two of the blades now and both were being held back by my sword.
"Probably not." I would've said more but I saw the energy blades starting to cut through my sword.
I raised my uninjured leg and after cloaking with my flames I kicked HiAndromon on the chest. My foot gave a dull ache since even with a slight cushion from my flames I still kicked solid metal. I knew it wouldn't do much but I was surprised that he jumped back yet I noticed that his armor had dented slightly. He must be a copy then. The copies weren't as strong as the original if you would follow basic logic. Yet if I wasn't fighting the original who was?
"Wait, she said the numbers were even." I got up quickly and glanced at the others.
MetalGarurumon and HerculesKabuterimon seemed to be fairing pretty well. Yet to my surprise so was Knightmon. I didn't think that the Ultimate would be able to do much against the Mega Level even if he was fighting a copy. I glanced at Rin; unlike the others she didn't have a partner to protect herself. Anytime the HiAndromon made a move on the others they were protected. I highly doubt that she would leave Rin alone.
"Focus on yourself!" I tore my gaze from Rin and to the HiAndromon I was facing.
The energy blade was far too close for me to dodge. I lifted my sword to block it but I wasn't fast enough. I closed my eyes waiting for the pain but I didn't feel any. I opened my eyes and I was surprised by what I saw. The energy blade had been met with a light that seemed to have blocked it. I noticed that the light poured from the star symbol on my arm warmer, I had unconsciously brought my arm up to shield my face.
"You should only have fire." HiAndromon didn't have to say that, I knew that I could only use fire.
I felt something familiar in the light that shielded me. It was warm and reminded me of the good days. A few seconds later I remembered that I was in the middle of a battle. Using HiAndromon's confusion I jumped back before switching to a two handed grip and focusing my fire onto my blade before stabbing forwards; my flames aided my blade in piercing his armor. I was happy that I managed to do damage but I wasn't happy when I had to let go of my sword and jump back to dodge him slashing at me, aiming for both of my arms with his energy blades.
I bit my lip as I thought about how to get my sword back from him. While yes normally I could summon my sword to me it had an interesting restraint, if it was in another's possession I couldn't summon it to me. Sadly it being stabbed in him counts as being in his possession. I flexed my hands and summoned a bit of fire to cover my hands, I wasn't good at long distance or using my fire to attack hand to hand. Leopardmon had trained me to use a sword since Storm possessed the talent for mid to long range attacking.
"Rin!" When Matt shouted the words my attention was taken from the HiAndromon in front of me and was instead on Rin.
A fifth HiAndromon had appeared and he stood in front of Rin with an energy blade. Rin stumbled backwards away from as she stared at him. I acted on instinct and flung a fireball at him but before it was halfway there he swung the blade downwards to strike Rin. I was about to try to faze into fire but before I could try Koushiro appeared. He was unarmed and had nothing to defend with. He raised his arms and crossed them, bracing himself for the attack. The device on his wrist glowed purple and I watched as Digital Script appeared in the shape of a crest. The energy blade passed through but it took away energy and by the time it got through it flickered away but it still cut into his arm pretty badly.
"Berserk Sword!" Knightmon appeared from above the HiAndromon and I watched stunned as he seemed to cut HiAndromon in half as if he was butter.
That Knightmon wasn't a normal Knightmon. That Knightmon was someone powerful. Wait. Did he not go to Mega Level because he didn't want to reveal who he was? It wouldn't be the first time I've met a Digimon that hid their Mega Level because they didn't want everyone to know who they were. Yet the scary thought was if he was strong enough to do that to HiAndromon even if that might've been copy as an Ultimate then he had to be some big shot. The last time I met a big shot that was overwhelmingly strong as a lower level that Mega was when Leviamon and Belphemon masqueraded in my world.
"Mega Electro Shocker!" The call of the attack made me turn around, I had almost been ambushed from behind but the attack from HerculesKabuterimon actually finished off that one and the one that I had been fighting I realized that it had be frozen solid.
"Koushiro, you ok?!" It was Izzy who called it out but I bet it was odd seeing someone who looked exactly like you seconds away from death.
"Worry about the remaining two!" I turned and I pulled my sword from the frozen HiAndromon but made sure I sent a blast of fire through it and it shattered leaving only two.
"Well now, this is interesting. I didn't expect that you guys were so tough. I thought for sure since Leo was almost killed he wouldn't be strong and since the rest of you are nobodies I didn't expect much." Amaya stepped up beside one of the HiAndromons and placed her right hand on his arm.
The other HiAndromon disappeared and I watched a dark purplish green glow enveloped HiAndromon. HiAndromon had another form? If he had another form then this isn't good. We were struggling against just HiAndromon. If he could go higher then what was his next form? HiAndromon was already Mega Level so what was above his Mega Level?
"I'm sick of playing around; let's end this all at once HiAndromon." I watched as he morphed but it had a few glitches.
No. A Digivolution shouldn't glitch no matter what. The only time Digivolution would glitch is when it is a special Digivolution that a Digimon earned but had it revoked. A Digimon could still access that Digivolution though since it still remembers it but it will always be flawed and it would be a risk to even attempt the Digivolution. The stronger the special Digivolution is higher the chance of it turning fatal and possibly deleting a Digimon forever.
"Why would you take such a risk with your own partner?!" She looked at me and grinned.
"Oh, so you know what a Glitch Digivolution is huh?" I narrowed my eyes at her.
"Besides who cares if it fails? HiAndromon will only become a Digi Egg again and he'll be back to this within a couple of hours." I growled slightly.
She was lucky that he got off with only returning to a Digi Egg. I've seen it happen before my eyes. A Digimon that had a Digivolution revoked but still used it to protect his friends. He managed to protect his friends but it came at a price. At the end of the battle he reverted to a Digi Egg but before anyone could take his Digi Egg it cracked before it shattered. The data was deleted right in front of their eyes. He was gone never to come back.
"You're playing with a double edged sword!" I was going to charge in an attempt to stop it but the light dispelled and I stopped in mid-motion.
I couldn't believe my eyes. There standing as my opponent was a Digimon that wasn't supposed to be evil. It also explained why it had been revoked. I knew why it was now a Glitch Digivolution. Back when they were good he must've been gifted that form but once he turned evil it was more than likely revoked. He remained able to use it though through the risky Glitch Digivolution.
"Craniamon." I muttered the name but he began to laugh.
"Be prepared to meet thy maker!" I stumbled back in sheer surprise by his display of speed, he was no longer at least twenty feet away from me but was way to close and his spear was coming right at me.
"I'll start with the pesky card wielder, it would be best if those cards were never fully released!" I tried to faze into fire but I found myself unable to summon any of my strength and I realized that my sword had disappeared from my hands.
"Also it's useless, that card at its current outpoint is easily sealed by my Aura." I raised my arms hoping that I could summon the shield but only when I realized that my arms were bear that his words fully hit me.
"That explains why you were so strong." I was surprised when the broad sword appeared between me and the spear, the spear hit the broad sword but it didn't crack or break.
"It also explains why you didn't answer the call." I was surprised with Knightmon forced Craniamon to go back.
"Oh, so you're one too huh? Who are you truly?" Knightmon stood between me and Craniamon.
"Gallantmon is currently corrupt and being forced to work for Lucemon so you're not him." Hearing that made my heart stop pretty much, Gallantmon was captured?
"Leopardmon would've jumped at the chance to attack me, besides he knows about my identity now." Leopardmon knew and didn't even think to tell me that one of the Royal Knights were evil?!
"Dynasmon and Crusadermon are both deleted thanks to the stunt that they pulled reviving Lucemon." Craniamon shifted and I tried to figure out when it was best for me to move but it might be safer for me to stay here.
"Kentaurosmon gave his life to protect the partner that seemed oh so important to him." I didn't know that three of the Royal Knights were gone.
"Omnimon is split in half and doesn't remember anything." Split in half?
"Magnamon was killed and vanished while UlforceVeedramon gave his form to another before he completely vanished but the Digimon doesn't remember at all." Was this why the Royal Knights weren't helping in this fight?
"Gankoomon and Jesmon are both busy with Examon since Examon is on the Demon Lord's side." One of the strongest groups has fallen apart huh?
"Alphamon died years ago never to be seen again so who are you?" Knightmon shifted and readied to attack.
"It doesn't matter as to who I am. All that matters is that I won't tolerate you attacking my friend." His friend, was Koushiro not his partner?
"Amaya, why not show them why it's useless to fight us?" I watched as green light filled the space a few seconds after his words.
Only because Knightmon stood in front of me was I not forced to close my eyes. I watched stunned as MetalGarurumon who was creeping up on Craniamon was forced back to In-Training. At the same time HerculesKabuterimon was also forced back to In-Training. The light died away and hoping that we weren't left completely defenseless I saw that Knightmon still stood in front of me.
"Eh, you really must be strong if you aren't even affected by that!" Knightmon didn't move.
"Shock Ringer!" I began sliding backwards and when I saw what caused the sudden blast of wind I was surprised, how fast was he spinning that thing!?
I watched as Knightmon took the shield from his back and that brought my attention to it. Knightmons usually had a symbol of hope on their shield but where the symbol was supposed to be there were deep scratches and it seemed defaced. The shield also seemed to have a glitch which surprised me. Did Knightmon actually have a glitch itself? It was rare but there were cases of Digimon having glitches; very rarely though yet those glitches being small enough for those Digimon to survive though was even rarer.
"Craniamon, stop this now before I raise my blade against you. Even if you are now controlled by a different core the essences of my friend is still there. You know that this is wrong." How could Knightmon be so calm?
"Craniamon is dead; I took out the so-called essences of him long ago! I got rid of that weak part of this form when I cut down those that traveled with Jesmon!" I knelt down so I was better covered by Knightmon.
I had to do something but there was nothing that I could do. I looked at Matt and Izzy; they had gone back so they were grouped together. Koushiro was bleeding pretty badly but Rin was using bandages that I didn't know that she had. Then again a bag had appeared that hadn't been here originally. The two In-Training Digimon looked like they were going to guard them but there was nothing they could do either. Yet perhaps it was a blessing in disguise that I was Craniamon's primary target at the moment because they were being completely ignored.
"If any part of him had remained it was gone when I gave Leopardmon the Digi Eggs of Leviamon and Belphemon, I told him they were pure when I knew they weren't. I had hoped that they would take out Order and Loyalty. It was funny watching that world disappear though I must admit the funniest part was watching those two as they broke." I blinked as I repeated the words in my mind.
He was the true reason they were there. He tricked Leopardmon into putting them into my home world. He was equally as guilty as Leviamon and Belphemon. While he might not have attacked directly he was still a reason why they were dead, he was a reason why Free died and why Storm broke so badly that even now I haven't seen her smile like she used to. He was the reason why Storm was so hopeless that she kept a fine line between herself and others. Despite Storm fighting in this battle she wasn't doing everything that she could. She couldn't give her all because she set limits on herself that she didn't realize that she had created.
"I'll reunite Order with his dear sister; Loyalty should have fallen by now at the hands of either Leviamon or Skylar." My shock turned to anger.
"So move out of the way!" I just looked at Craniamon when he managed to make Knightmon move from in front of me.
"I like that look." Craniamon raised his spear but something appeared blocking Knightmon's attack and it repelled Knightmon as well.
"Even if I like that look it won't stop me. You can't even touch me because you might as well be defenseless. That card is useless against the Royal Knights; they were created so humans could fight in desperate times by the Royal Knights. We have the override rights." I glared at him.
"My sister won't be killed so easily. She won't die until she achieved the last thing that she's set her eyes on." She was going to revenge our friends and after that was a mystery.
"It doesn't matter besides do you know how many die still having something they want to do?" I didn't flinch when he readied to strike me.
"Gallantmon once told me something about the card that I now carry." I barely even thought about it and the card appeared.
"The card's strength isn't determined by the one who created it but its strength is determined by the wielder." I watched the card get engulfed by black fire.
"He also told me that my befouled fire was hindering the strength because the card itself was fighting the urge to deem the wielder as a fallen." He aimed for the card but he was stopped when the black flames was swallowed by a pure light.
"Help me be free, lead me to the dawn." The light faded at my words and the fire that covered the card was a brilliant golden orange color.
The card had changed once again. The star was still on the back and the Z was still there but when the card flipped so I could see the front it revealed the Digital Hazard Symbol that was within the circle but now it was no longer mostly black with red edges. The black had turned to white and the edges were the brilliant golden orange color while the Digital Hazard Symbol remained red.
"Release!" Craniamon's eyes widened and he was quick to try and strike the card or me.
The card vanished though in a burst of fire and I stood up and jumped. I felt light on my feet. I flexed my hands as I floated within the sky and my outfit morphed once again. I wore the same arm warmers but there was a drastic change. My outfit was no longer like the one that I was used to or that looked so similar to my sister's. I wore a red sleeveless hoodie that and black pants. I had shin silver shin guards and boots.
"Those things really are hazardous, do they know no limits?" Craniamon tried to sound prideful and unfazed but from the defensive stance I could tell that he was cautious.
"You found the key to moving forwards, Gallantmon was right to entrust you with that." I was surprised by Knightmon speaking so familiarly of Gallantmon but I guess if I assumed he was also a Royal Knight I shouldn't be surprised.
"Yeah well, later you'll tell me all about what's happened since I parted ways with Gallantmon right?" I still couldn't believe that he was being forced to be evil yet why wouldn't Leopardmon tell me that?
"Of course, first we have to defeat him." I curled my hands into fists, this couldn't take much longer because Koushiro needed real medical treatment because I doubt from how bad his arms were cut he would last much longer and it's a miracle that the containment field was still holding up.
I gulped when for once in a long time I felt it. I felt my energy draining very quickly. I was used to the constant drain but it was usually a very small amount at a time but this was a quick drain. It was never good to use the card until you lose the ability to hold on.
"Oh two on one, bring it on if you think you can defeat me!" Craniamon raised his spear but I held my hands out in front of me, I wasn't sure what had all changed now that I managed to get my flames to be purified.
"Star Flame!" The golden orange fire surrounded my hands and started to rain down upon Craniamon.
"That's worthless!" A shield appeared but even I was surprised when the fireballs curved, they went right towards Amaya.
I didn't expect what happened. Craniamon actually protected her. He blocked the attack with his spear and he then blocked Knightmon's attack and surprisingly Knightmon's sword cut into his spear. Craniamon kicked Knightmon and then he came at me.
"Your flame, it really is annoying. I never thought I would see any other flame other than Chronomon that could cause the metal of this spear hit to the point it could be cut through!" He shouldn't have said that.
I summoned my sword and I was surprised to see that the blade was a pure white with swirls of orange and red dancing up the blade. Flames surrounded the blade and making sure I narrowly dodged the blade of his spear I made my sword connect with his blade. I had hoped for the best and I was proven correct, my sword also cut into his spear and began cutting down the middle. He retreated but cracks appeared in his spear.
I was going to attack but my vision was grabbed by darkness and everything faded. It came rushing back just barely in time for me to dodge an attack. I don't have the strength to hold this form. I put what I had left and I swung my sword sending a wave of fire at Craniamon and he didn't dodge it because if he had it would've crashed into Amaya. It left a grove in his armor but it left me falling to the ground. I hit the ground and I bit my lip. I tried to get my breath back since I got the breath knocked out of me.
"You did better than I expected that you would, Zeal Aleister." I looked to Knightmon that once again stepped in front of me stopping Craniamon from attacking me.
"I thought you wouldn't last two minutes with that fully released and you're even still conscious." Should I take that as I compliment that I was underestimated?
"Koushiro, years ago I made a promise. Please grant me the permission to go one level higher." I turned my head just enough so I could glance at them.
I didn't think that Koushiro was even conscious but he proved me wrong. He raised his blood stained left arm up. Once again the device was lit by purple light and when it did I figured it out. That device was actually his Digivice. I wonder if what Amaya had on her arm was also a Digivice.
"I hear by grant you the permission." Koushiro coughed violently after the words and I saw Rin stand up.
"It won't work." Rin's voice carried and I noticed that it didn't seem fearful now.
"Ah, the defenseless one noticed? Knightmon can't go any higher because during the flash I made sure to implant a bug since I couldn't make him revert, if he's strong enough to fight a Mega as an Ultimate I don't wish to find out what his Mega Level is." How did Rin know that?
"Though as far as I know you never knew anything about Digimon so how did you know about the fact that I did that?" Rin walked forward and even when Matt grabbed her arm she shook him off.
"Call it a lucky guess; neither you nor Craniamon made any move to attack either Knightmon or Koushiro so you two knew he couldn't go higher." Did she really figure it out from their reaction?
"So you know that it's hopeless then?" I watched Rin grip her chest, no she was gripping something under her shirt I think.
"It's not hopeless. I can still fight." How could she fight?
"How can someone who doesn't even have a partner fight!?" Craniamon went after her and I tried to move but I couldn't.
Knightmon seemed paralyzed where he stood but I saw black spots starting to dot his armor. I guess the bug was kicking in now that he attempted to Digivolve. I said I wouldn't let her die and they were seriously going for fatal wounds. Rin didn't have a partner to protect her and there was no way that she had any kind of power of her own.
"I remember what I am." I watched as something began to glow and the light was brighter than I thought it would be; the light was a pale yellow almost white.
"What do you have that gives off that kind of light!?" Craniamon seemed surprised enough that he stopped his advance.
"Temperance, DigiDestined of Temperance is the title that I hold." I watched as something formed in front of her.
It took a few seconds for it to take full shape. I was surprised as the pale yellow data that had appeared began taking shape. When the light died a Digimon stood there that had a white cape and a blue scarf wrapped around his head. I was rather surprised when Craniamon took a step back.
"Baalmon." Craniamon uttered the name and I was surprised because I knew the name.
Baalmon was a rebel and he often went around purposefully attacking different Digimon who supported the Demon Lords. He had destroyed various places that supported the Demon Lords and made a lot of supporters scatter, once scattered they became easy targets for Runners and just regular Digimon in general. If he came to her side because of her crest glowing that would mean that he was her partner. If he was her partner then she had a very big tie to this battle.
"I never thought I would see the day when I learned who you fought so hard to protect! No wonder you're so against the Demon Lords and try to destroy everything that you can when it comes to them!" Craniamon seemed so haughty but that only made Baalmon glare at him.
"You really shouldn't be laughing, you were already my next target but the fact that she's called me here to fight means that for once she wants me to fight." Baalmon raised the sword that he had and Craniamon seemed to be taken off guard.
"You're saying that you were that strong when you weren't acting with any strength or help from your partner?" Amaya was surprised but the thought that he managed all of that on his strength alone didn't seem possible.
"Baalmon, from now on I'm going to fight. I'm tired of being the defenseless target." Baalmon just nodded.
"Very well then, from now on we'll fight together." He leaned forward and he charged.
"God Beating!" Baalmon was met by the shield that Craniamon had.
I expected Baalmon to get thrown back like Knightmon did but he didn't. His sword was engulfed in a pale yellow light and cracks appeared in Craniamon's shield. The shield shattered and Baalmon continued and struck Craniamon across the chest in the same place as the cut I had caused. He didn't just strike once before Craniamon forced him back. Baalmon didn't even seem to be bothered at all while Craniamon had four different deep groves in his armor.
"If your strength comes from her then see if you can protect her, Shock Ringer!" Baalmon held out his hand and I watched as what seemed like a mirror appeared.
"Rin, if you can spare any." I was confused until I watched as the mirror-like thing also emitted the pale yellow light.
Shock Ringer slammed into it but the attack vanished into it. Craniamon charged but that proved to be his mistake. The attack came rushing out being reflected back at him. It was faster than it had been when he had used it. It hit Craniamon head on and he seemed to vibrate before he exploded into data, he was lucky because his data rushed back and formed an egg.
"Tch, hatch and fight HiAndromon!" The egg that formed didn't react at all.
"It won't work." My eyes widened and I managed to force myself up, Baalmon held his sword over the egg.
"This egg is next to useless well it might as well be useless since you'll never manage to hatch it ever again." No egg is useless!
I looked at the egg but I was surprised. The egg seemed only to have half-formed. There was Digital Script scrawled across it. It was a Sealed Digi Egg. That Digi Egg would never hatch until you found all of the parts of the data.
"Craniamon has been freed from his prison trapped within that Digimon." Knightmon's words surprised me but that further made me think that he truly was a Royal Knight.
"No Egg is useless and HiAndromon will hatch within hours." Baalmon laughed at Amaya's words.
"No, where the last fragment of his Data is a place that people like you can't even touch. Only those who fight for good are allowed access. Even if he would hatch it will be years down the line but I doubt you'll ever be granted access into that sanctuary." Baalmon was going to strike the egg and break it but Rin grabbed his arm which stopped him.
"We don't break eggs Baalmon. I didn't let your egg be broken so I won't allow you to break eggs." She stopped his egg from breaking?
"No matter the Digimon or human partner a Digi Egg doesn't deserve to be broken." HiAndromon's Digi Egg disappeared from by them and the containment field vanished.
Amaya was quick to follow. We stood in the hallway outside of the apartment that one of them lived in. I glanced at Knightmon and saw him break to data. I was alarmed until I watched his data disappear into Koushiro's Digivice. Koushiro didn't look very good.
"Zeal Aleister." I looked to Baalmon and I was going to glare but he picked me up and set me on my feet.
"It's time now that everyone gathers. It's best that everyone is together now." I almost fell back to the ground, Rin hesitated but she placed one of my arms over shoulders, which even if I tried not to, caused me to lean on her heavily.
