Okay.
Look who's here after years of hardship and exile? ME! *dodges knives and utensils thrown by ya'll*
I know, I know. I'm sorry for keeping you waiting. But I'm back for good. I'm going to 9th grade. Yay?
Let's get on with the story, eh?
Here we gooo!
Annabeth:
It was the county fair. We were all so happy because it comes around only once a year. We decided to make the best of it.
I grabbed a camera and my purse. As I stuffed some money into my purse we heard Leo's voice.
"You girls coming or what?" Leo yelled from downstairs. Apollo and Art decided to let us go by ourselves as they were busy with their stuff.
"Shut up, Valdez!" Cally yelled to him at the same time Hazel yelled, "We're coming!"
Hazel blushed and hid away. She was shy but not as she used to be when we first met her. But that's a story for another time.
We walked down the stairs one by one. The guys were on their feet as soon as they heard us coming.
"Jeez, it's been what, three hours?" Leo said, dramatically. Cally swatted at him.
"Anyway, let's go," Jason said, ignoring them.
We decided to walk and give Bob, our driver, time to enjoy himself at the fair. He was still a child at heart and we adored him. He was always up for a chat.
I took random pictures, just so I could confirm that the camera was working. I was taking a picture of a tree when Percy blocked it and pulled his mouth open to make a silly face.
"Stop that," I said, annoyed.
"Stop what?" He asked, innocently. I grumbled some curses and let him go.
We reached the fair's entrance. The guys were in their disguises, so they wouldn't get ambushed by paparazzi.
"Why don't we go around in pairs?" Piper said suddenly.
"Yeah. Let's leave these love birds." Leo said pointing to Thals, Nico, Hazel, and Frank. Hazel and Frank blushed and Leo was rewarded with two death glares from both Thals and Nico.
Everyone agreed.
"One boy and one girl. You know, for protection." Leo said, shrugging.
"We don't need no protection," Piper said angrily.
"Fine, fine!" Leo said. "But anyway, I'm going with Cally, here." He said, putting an arm around her. So that was his plan!
"Then I'm with Piper," Jason said. Piper just blushed in response. Come on, Piper. Get a grip.
"Guess that leaves us two then," Percy said. And I looked into his sea-green eyes. And I was sinking, sinking and...
"Get your lazy butt up!" Piper said, waking me up. I rubbed my eyes in confusion.
Oh. Oh. That was a dream. I guess I fell asleep in the car. But it seemed so real with Percy's eyes. NO. Get a freaking grip, Annabeth.
I shook my head. No way am I thinking about him again.
Why is this happening to me? Why? I have a cute guy who asked me for a date. I should be thinking about him, not about the guy who has a girlfriend plus isn't interested in me.
I got out of the car, thanked Bob, and made my way to my bedroom. I needed a shower. Then I needed a nap.
I quickly got into the shower and relaxed my muscles. I can't think about He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named anymore. I have Luke. And he seemed pretty into me, unlike some other person I know. I scowled at the wall. What was so wrong with me anyway?
I turned on the shower, angrily.
I mean, am I not enough? Rachel is great. Don't get me wrong, she really is. But it would've been easier to hate her if she was mean and snobby. She wasn't all that. She was the opposite.
I get why he likes her, but why can't he like me?
Stupid, Annabeth. I laugh sadly. I squirt the soap out of the bottle.
I was too late. I should've talked to him instead of being so impulsive. I should've said I liked him before Rachel got the chance to.
He would've been my boyfriend.
I start rubbing the soap onto my body.
This is getting ridiculous. I shouldn't be thinking about him so much. Still, I can imagine it. He would be so new to this stuff, he wouldn't know what to do. And I would find it cute. He looked cute when he scrunched up his eyebrows.
I sighed.
Then looked at me in the mirror. I'm starting to get pathetic, aren't I?
Percy:
"Where's Annabeth?" I inquired Piper. She looked at me in annoyance and shrugged. Ugh. Why can't I get anyone to co-operate?
Now, think Percy. Where would she be after a long day of shopping? (I still can't figure out how they convinced her in the first place.)
Her bedroom! Duh! I'm getting stupid.
I quickly ran up the stairs before anyone can question me. Her bedroom door was open an inch so I peeked through. And I was shocked at what I saw.
Okay. Wasn't that a nice way to end a chapter? I can see you all scrambling to know what he saw ;).
We all can imagine, right? *wink wink*
Anyway. Let me go work on the next chapter!
