Surprise~! Did I make anyone think that the story ended last chapter? So, I was going to post this chapter yesterday but one of my friends had their birthday party so I ended up not posting yesterday. At least I'm only off by a day right?

Chapter Sixty Three: Situations [Pt. 1]

[Kari's P.O.V]

I groaned slightly and opened my eyes. The room was too bright. I turned over on my side and pulled my blanket over my head. I laid there for a few seconds before I sat bolt up. I had fallen asleep last night by the balcony door didn't I? I rubbed my eyes before glancing at the clock but I noticed that the balcony's curtains had actually been drawn; the bit of light that had woken me up was only the bit that managed to get passed the curtain. I was surprised by the fact that it was almost noon.

"I told you she's asleep!" I jumped slightly when I heard Tai yell.

There was thump a few seconds later. Someone hit the wall and then someone groaned. Who the heck was Tai fighting with? I waited for whoever Tai was fighting with to comment but I didn't hear anything shouted but only a muffled voice that I couldn't even make out. So it was one of the quieter people so probably T.K. I moved my feet so they were over the edge of my bed and debated if I should get up and end the fight.

"Just let her sleep if you know! You know after the fever she had she should sleep as long as she wants!" There was another thump after Tai yelled and something hit the door as well.

"My parents are out which means I'm in charge. I say she sleeps until she leaves her room. If you don't agree then you have to move me!" I sighed.

I wonder how Tai figures I could sleep when a fight erupts outside of my room? I'm not sure about him but if someone started to fight and yell outside of my bedroom I would wake up. Good thing I had woken up before this. I was actually just glad that I hadn't had anymore dreams about Takuya, Koji, and Koichi. I cringed when I heard a solid thump against a wall and someone groan, probably from getting thrown against a wall or floor probably. My door was flung open after that.

"I said I was going to see her one way or another." I blinked as I stared at who stood in the doorway.

His back was facing me and he was talking to Tai who lay sprawled on the floor. How he managed to sprawl Tai out was a bit interesting but I couldn't find my voice to speak. His arms were at his sides curled into fists while he wore a slightly different outfit now; a dark blue t-shirt and a pair of black pants. I opened my mouth to say something but no words came so I shut my mouth.

"Where did you learn to fight?" Tai groaned as he asked the question, he also sat up.

"You saw how I fought him right? You shouldn't be all that surprised that I can actually fight, especially against humans." After he spoke he turned on his heel but he froze.

His blue eyes widened as his eyes locked with mine. I still couldn't believe my eyes. I pinched my arm and winced from the pain that greeted me. I wasn't dreaming and he was really standing that. Oh shit. I fell backwards on my bed and stared at the ceiling.

"You ok Kari?" He sounded between hesitant and confused.

It wasn't one big screwed up dream! I really had left my home and went to their world. I really did meet up with Takuya, Koji, and Koichi. I really was fighting the Demon Lords. I really had met Storm, Evan, Chrono, and Rin. We really had fought Barbamon, Leviamon, and Belphemon. We really had fought Belphemon and defeated him. The Demon Lords really were trying to destroy everything.

"I'm not sure if I should be happy that everything wasn't a dream or be really upset that it wasn't all a dream." I was ecstatic that we were all together but at the same time really upset that we really had to fight and try to kill the Demon Lords before they destroyed everything.

"Huh?" Koji was confused but I couldn't blame him.

"Wait, is that what you meant by you had a bad dream?" I cringed at Tai's overly loud voice.

"Care to let me into the loop?" Koji was sounding a slight bit annoyed.

"Sometimes when Kari has a fever, especially like the one yesterday she'll have crazy dreams. When she woke up in here and after hearing me say she had a fever she might've thought that everything from the time we came back here from a park to coming home from the Dark Ocean was one big crazy dream." I sat up but I stared at the floor now.

"Me and our mother didn't exactly mention anything about you guys and just said 'others' yesterday and assumed she knew what we meant. We didn't really give any hint that everything wasn't one big crazy dream induced by the fever she had." I looked up from the floor when I saw Koji shift on his feet.

"Ok then." He looked from Tai and back to me.

"Kari!" I cringed hearing that other overly loud voice.

"Takuya!" Koji shouted when he was shoved, Takuya bounded into the room.

"You're awake finally. How are you feeling? When you got sick and refused to come out of your room yesterday we were pretty worried. Especially since you did that freaky thing with Rin yesterday and helped with the whole Digivice situation. No one but Digital Rulers is supposed to be able to create Digivices so the fact you did worried me and confused me. Plus you should've seen Koji yesterday. Koji was all sad and he was complaining about being stuck with us and how he'd rather be with you. But anyways besides the hilarity of that there wasn't much that happened yesterday. Wait no! You missed Chrono messing around and putting on a magic show. That was pretty funny! Plus-" Takuya's voice was muffled when someone covered his mouth.

I couldn't help but stare at Takuya. Where in the world did he get the energy to talk so much? Plus how did he manage all that without stopping to take a breath? Takuya was now saying something else but it was muffled because of his mouth being covered.

"Sorry, he wouldn't shut up and I tried to use a spell that would make him shut up but it backfired and now he won't shut up." Chrono's hand was the one that covering Takuya's mouth; I noticed that there was a red sun like marking on her hand.

"It should run out soon enough since I cast it last night." Takuya fell silent and Chrono smiled.

"See, told you." She removed her hand and Takuya's shoulders drooped.

"I think that's worse than being quiet." Takuya muttered it.

"So, how are you feeling now?" Takuya smiled again and Koji was glaring at him; Koichi had entered my room at some point as well but he wasn't saying anything.

"I'm feeling great." I scratched my head and laughed slightly.

"So now that you're up please call Davis, tell him not to come over." I looked to Tai; he had stood up and entered my room.

"Huh? How does he know that we're back?" Tai sighed.

"Apparently he was talking with Ken and Matt yesterday because of something or another when Rin showed up. Matt obviously asked what happened and Rin spilled everything so they know you're back." Rin had gone to Matt yesterday after she vanished then.

"What's so bad if one of her friends comes here? I mean since we're here she should see her friends since well this battle might take a while." Koichi asked the question but Tai pinched his nose.

"Yeah, I have to agree with Koichi. What's the harm of him coming over?" I stood up and I had to agree with Koichi and Takuya, what was the harm of Davis coming.

"Shit." They looked at me when I said that.

"Realized what the problem is?" Daisuke was here.

Davis and Daisuke hated each other. Those two meeting would be an equation for a fight. A fight that I'm not sure how it would turn out not to mention that would be really bad. Davis once told me if he ever met Daisuke again then he would make sure to make Daisuke pay for what he had done in the past. Now that I knew everything that had once been hidden I couldn't blame Davis for being as angry as he could be.

"I think Kari once said that her friend 'Davis' was the version of Daisuke here in this world." When Koji said that Takuya and Koichi's faces dropped and Chrono crossed her arms.

"Davise kind of seemed to hate him and from what I got those two probably shouldn't meet." Everyone gave Chrono an odd look but I remembered that she had learned about the whole Davis and Daisuke situation that one day in the park.

"Where's my phone?" It really probably wasn't best for them to meet up.

"Just use the house phone, your phone is beyond missing." I didn't want to know what Tai meant so I just left, leaving them to deal with the awkward silence that settled over the room.

"So Davis is coming?" I stopped and glanced at Daisuke.

Storm and Evan were still asleep; they were leaning against each other and in that moment you could tell they were used to being alone and only really trusting each other. My gaze left them after lingering for a moment. Daisuke sat in front of the balcony window staring out at the sky, his legs were crossed and the red haired girl was fast asleep with her head in his lap.

"I can leave if you want me too; you probably want to see your friends. I know that I'm not exactly welcomed, even if you know why I did what I did that doesn't excuse it." Daisuke turned his head to look at me.

Daisuke looked guilty; I knew the guilty look from when I saw it come from Davis. Even if their personalities and pasts were different they did have some of the same tells. Even if they were pretty much completely different people they did share some similarities. I sighed; the pervious anger I had directed at him was quickly growing smaller and dying since I knew why. I couldn't blame him either because I probably would've done the same thing had I been in his position.

"You really did all of that because of her?" Daisuke blinked and glanced down at her.

"Did we never get to her name? Her name's Noriko Izumi, she much rather be called Nori though." I was surprised slightly hearing her last name.

I was going to ask more but someone pounded on the door. I cringed because I knew who that was. This was probably not going to go over well for anyone. Daisuke had looked back and he gave me a look. He would still be willing to leave. I shook my head. Tai, Takuya, Koji, Koichi, and Chrono all emerged from the hallway but Takuya was talking quietly about something to Chrono.

"Guess calling Davis won't help." I walked to the door when Tai spoke, maybe I could keep him outside?

"Who is it?" I asked it even if I knew who it was.

"Kari!" Yelp, that's Davis for you.

I opened the door and I didn't even get a chance to say or do anything besides opening the door. I stumbled backwards as Davis practically tackled me into a hug. He held me tightly and I was beyond stunned. I hadn't expected that from him the moment I opened the door. I sighed but I smiled and returned the hug.

"You're really back; when Rin showed up and started talking I was stunned." He pulled away and gave me that goofy grin that I was forever used to by now, plus I had kind of missed it.

"Plus she said that you guys beat that gorilla that attacked us." It took me a second to figure out that the 'gorilla' he meant was Belphemon.

"You mean Belphemon?" He nodded and placed his hands on his hips.

"Rin said there were other people here too, I want to met your others friends especially the three that really helped you out in the past." I was so happy he hasn't looked past me yet.

"How about, you promise to hear everything out then react?" Davis tilted his head.

"Huh?" I really didn't want him to jump on Daisuke the moment he saw him.

"What she means is that nothing is always as it seems when there are multiple worlds involved in things." Koji spoke which drew Davis's attention to him.

"Who are you?" I glanced over my shoulder and looked for Daisuke, he was still sitting in front the balcony but he was yet again staring out the window.

"Koji Minamoto." I was slightly surprised that Koji was the first to talk out of the others.

Takuya or Koichi were the people I thought would talk first. Tai seemed tense, probably waiting for the moment that Davis would notice Daisuke. I noticed that Takuya was having the quiet conversation with Chrono still, Chrono looked upset and she seemed to be trying to hide her hands now. Koichi looked slightly lost for some reason yet he also looked slightly amused.

"Nice to meet cha Koji, I'm Davis Motomiya." Koji nodded and he was giving Davis some kind of look before snapping and giving Koichi a harsh glare for whatever Koichi whispered in his ear.

"Shut up! I expect that outta Takuya not you!" Koji jabbed Koichi in the side but Koichi was laughing slightly.

"Besides you're one to talk!" I sighed and placed a hand on my head when Koichi jabbed Koji back.

They both shut up a second later; there was a spark of electricity. They twitched slightly and I looked to Storm. She glared at them and she looked pissed. Storm held her hand out towards them, it sparked with electricity.

"Shut the hell up or I'll make you two shut up. Some people are trying to sleep." Koichi gave a nervous laugh and raised his hands while Koji crossed his arms and turned away.

"Sorry Storm." Storm sighed before letting her hand fall back to her lap and closing her eyes, she laid out on her back now.

"Someone's cranky when they wake up." Storm held her arm up, one finger held up.

"Takuya, I'll shock the hell out of you like I promised earlier when you woke me up the first time. It's because of you that I'm so tired." I looked to Davis when he laughed.

"They're kinda interesting." He stepped around me and my breath caught, he'd see Daisuke now any second.

"So how about you guys finishing introducing yourselves?" Tai had conveniently taken a side step, blocking Daisuke from Davis's view.

"Are they twins Kari?" Davis looked at me as he pointed at Koichi and Koji.

"Yes we're twins, I'm Koichi Kimura." Davis was going to ask about their last names, I knew he was.

"I'm Kari's cousin, Takuya Kanbara." Takuya cut Davis off just as I elbowed Davis to stop him from asking the question that I knew that both Koji and Koichi hated.

"You're Kari's cousin?" Takuya nodded and Davis grinned for some reason.

"This one, who probably won't talk for a while is Chrono Aleksander." Chrono looked withdrawn suddenly; her hands were hidden behind her back.

"What's wrong Chrono?" She shook her head at my question.

"Nothing, I made a stupid comment that's all. I accidently brought up something painful." I gave Takuya a look and he yelped.

"You need to think before you say things Takuya." Storm had sat up and was yawning slightly.

"Zale Aleister, I go by Storm though. My currently sleeping twin is Zeal Aleister but he goes by Evan." I was caught off guard by her introducing herself and Evan by their actual names that they seemed to despise.

"Storm?" Koichi was stunned but Storm smiled at him.

"We need to move on right? The fact that we defeat Belphemon is proof that we can move on yet we can only move on as much as we allow ourselves to." She stood up and stretched.

"So Tai, who's behind you? I noticed him too but I didn't a get a look." Davis was going to look around Tai but since Tai kept blocking Davis's view is what got Davis to ask the question.

"O-oh, don't worry about him Davis." Tai was laughing nervously and I sighed.

"Kari said I could stay so just let it happen Tai, sooner or later it would happen anyways. It's stupid to fight the inevitable." Davis tensed hearing Daisuke's voice.

"Besides there aren't many places that I could hide and I'm not going to run away. I know what I did and he has every reason hate me for it." Daisuke must've gotten up at some point because now he stepped beside Tai.

"Daisuke." Davis growled the name and Daisuke placed his hands into his pockets as he yawned.

"Be awhile since we last saw each other, Davis." Davis pounced before I could stop him.

Davis had managed to tackle Daisuke; he even seemed to catch Daisuke off guard. Davis had his hands around Daisuke's neck and he looked furious. I was stunned because suddenly the personalities seemed backwards. If it wasn't for the different hair styles and the scar on Daisuke's right cheek I wouldn't be able to tell that the angry and murderous looking one was actually Davis and not Daisuke.

"Davis!" Tai grabbed Davis and was quick to pull him off of Daisuke.

Daisuke gasped for breath and grabbed his throat. He coughed slightly and I wasn't the only one left astounded. Tai held Davis for about two seconds before Tai got a not so kind elbow to the gut. Davis though wasn't happy. Davis groaned and his arms were twisted behind his back very painfully by Storm. She had appeared in a split second.

"Get the fuck off of me!" Davis actually threw his head back and hit Storm in the face with the backwards head-butt.

Storm let go and stumbled back, dazed. Koji and Takuya caught one of her arms but now Davis was at my feet. Davis grabbed his cheek and I wasn't sure what to think now. Everything had gone silent. It was deathly quiet now. No one moved and everyone stared. Koichi glared at Davis and Koichi's face looked very dark. This was new; I don't think I've seen Koichi snap like this before.

"I'm pretty sure you promised Kari you'd listen completely before reacting." Koichi only spoke after a very tense couple of moments and he sounded too calm.
