Kylee's eyes fluttered open. She sleepily rolled over. As she did, she snuggled deep into Jon's chest. The pair had fallen asleep while watching a movie. Just as she was about to drift off again, her phone rang. She rolled over and answered it quickly. "Hello?" she answered. "Hey. Sorry, did I wake you?" Kenny's voice rang on the other end. She smiled "Not really. Sorry about yesterday" she said, remembering how rudely she had acted when they talked. "It's alright. Do you think we could talk? There's a coffee place just down the road from the arena. Could we meet there?" Kenny questioned.
Kylee smiled. She knew the exact place he was talking about. "Sure. Say 20 minutes?" Kylee asked. "See you then" Kenny said, sounding excited. Kylee rolled her eyes as she hung up the phone. She glanced over at the bed to check on Jon who was still fast asleep. She changed her clothes and started towards the coffee shop. Her body ached with every step she took. The match last night had nearly killed her, but still she stood tall.
Her thoughts began to wander. What could Kenny possibly want to talk about? Kylee had already refused his offer to join forces with him once. She continued to consider the possibilities of what Kenny wanted to say as she slowly approached the coffee shop. She smiled as she opened the door. Her eyes instantly met Kenny's. "Ky'' he shouted. "Hey Omega'' Kylee replied. She quickly ordered a coffee before finally sitting down with Kenny.
His smile was the biggest she had seen from Kenny in a while. She giggled "What's with you?" Kenny seemed nervous and would not make eye contact with her. She looked at him questioningly. What is going on with everyone lately? " Listen Kylee, I've been thinking an awful lot about you and our relationship" Kenny finally begins to explain. "And I… well I have realized something."
Kylee inhaled and suddenly realized where this conversation was going. She had wanted so long for this exact moment, but after what happened last night, was this really what she wanted. "Kylee, I have feelings for you and I am done hiding it. You are incredible. You and I have been through so much together. I think it is time we take our relationship more seriously and begin an actual relationship" Kenny continued to explain.
"Kenny, I" Kylee paused and she watched Kenny's expression. "I've had feelings for you for a while, but you never noticed me. I just don't know if this is what I want anymore" she explained slowly. As she watched Kenny's face fall, she made a decision. "But, I am willing to try this if you are. I mean what could a date or two hurt, right?" She smiled at him as his joy returned. "You're…. That's perfect" Kenny exclaimed.
She smiled at Kenny as he tried desperately to figure out a good day. "How about tonight?" she questioned. "Jon and I are staying an extra day for some post match press and we aren't leaving until tomorrow morning." "Yeah. Yeah. Uhm…. tonight is perfect. I will pick you up at 7" he said as he glanced at his phone. "I will see you then. Something wrong?" Kylee questioned as she gestured towards his phone.
"What? No. Just the Bucks wondering where I am. I didn't tell them I was leaving" Kenny quickly explained. "I've got to go though. I will see you tonight okay?" he smiled at her as he quickly stood and turned to leave. "Okay" she replied. Kenny exited the coffee shop and turned to head back towards his hotel. She exhaled deeply. What did I just do, she thought.
Last night, Jon was all over her and now… Am I really willing to give up whatever Jon and I have to see what it might be like to finally have Kenny? She was lost and confused. Kylee finished up her coffee and left. As she walked back to the bus, her thoughts continued to wander.
Is Kenny worth giving up Jon for? How would Jon react after last night's events? Her thoughts evaded her as she continued to walk.
