*que nervous laughter* So, here's the chapter that had me crying from frustration and the chapter that I finally wrote. I know it doesn't seem like it should've bothered me so badly but nothing was coming out the way I wanted it to until just recently. Also the 'rewrite' thing I was talking about, forget about that okay? Again I'm sorry for the whole declaring I was going to rewrite it then coming back with this chapter. Can I be forgiven? Chapter Sixty Eight: Situations [Pt. 6]

[Kari's P.O.V]

"What's going on?" I feel like I have either asked or thought that question far too many times today.

"Your loss of focus will cost you dearly!" I jumped when suddenly the red haired guy just appeared cutting through the dust, how he saw I wasn't sure.

Yet I knew in that split second he wasn't someone who was 'good'. I knew how tainted his light was at that moment, he had a knife and he was going to stab me. I tried to move but my body wouldn't move. He had a crazy look on his face but he stopped the moment a rock hit his head, the rock wasn't big but it was enough to make him stop. He probably only stumbled away when he got hit thanks to seemingly being disorientated from the rock hitting him.

"Don't think every DigiDestined doesn't know how to fight personally." I was thankful that Koji had butted in but I was worried considering that I don't think the red haired guy was mentally stable considering how he was now laughing.

"I haven't met a DigiDestined that actually has the nerves to actually fight since years ago, in my whole time I've only ever met one other DigiDestined that doesn't hide behind their partner." Koji barely dodged the guy's jerky lung.

"You know, you guys are going to die right? Why do you care to even fight? Examon can't be defeated while everyone is stuck at In-Training, even if that one Digimon is somehow at Ultimate Level he's probably barely hanging onto that with Examon's Anti-Digivolution Shell having actually worked." I couldn't help but look away for a quick second.

The Digimon that had dragged Examon up into the air was now still so I could see who it was. I didn't know who the Digimon was though; I had never seen the Digimon before. It was a blue dragon, I could tell that much though. It had something sticking out of its back. The dragon was remaining in the air even though he wasn't flapping his wings. How strong was that Digimon if it could resist falling to Examon's Anti-Digivolution thing?

"I'm not someone who has a code of honor!" My eyes snapped back to the guy yet I was suddenly yanked to the side, he went stumbling past when his lung failed.

What did they say his name was again? I want to say they said his name was Skylar. Skylar looked unstable, both physically and mentally. He righted himself but he still reminded me of one of those crazy people from movies before they commit a psychotic murdering spree.

"Great, we need to watch Examon but we also need to watch this nut." Takuya's voice sounded from behind me meaning that he must've been the one who had pulled me out of the way.

"I knew this was going to happen." Skylar started to float off of the ground, Wizardmon sounded annoyed.

"You're lucky I'm not who I once was, Skylar Hallows." Skylar flailed trying to get back to the ground but then he stilled.

"Sleep in a world of horrors, Vision of Terror." Skylar's body went limp in seconds; I stared at the Wizardmon that I still hadn't figured out who he was.

"Wizardmon, who are you." He looked at me before turning away from me.

"Worry about my 'identity' later, you need to focus because Examon is not an enemy to be underestimated. He's smarter than Belphemon was so he is stronger than Belphemon in a way." He didn't need to tell me that.

"What are we supposed to do, genius? Our Digimon can't Digivolve and from happened I'm guessing Takuya and Koji can't do whatever they did either." Davis was giving a look Wizardmon.

"We've overcome worse than this before Davis; then again you weren't present when we fought Apocalymon." Tai's words made me shutter, yeah I don't think there are many people who can say they've survived being turned into data let alone survived and actually reformed.

"Sometimes you just have to trust the mysterious powers of the crests; you never know what they have in store for those that trust them." Joe made a valid point but a part of me momentarily mused on how far Joe had come over the years, he went from the boy who was running away from things to someone who was still standing here and hadn't taken a chance to run away.

"Willing to try something Kari?" I looked at Koji, he was quiet when he asked but he was offering his hand to me.

"Light might be able to purify the dark aura hanging, I'm willing to bet that's what cancelling our Digivolution ability." I looked at my Digivice; it actually had a hint of black to it that seemed to dust it.

"Two crests of light should be able to work, right?" I looked at Examon.

Examon was being kept busy by the Digimon he was fighting but the Digimon was struggling, it was having some glitches. It kept shrinking but then going back to its bigger form. That Digimon was struggling with retaining its Ultimate form, if what Skylar said was correct. How long would that Digimon keep Examon busy? I looked back to Koji but grabbed his hand.

"I'm not sure what will happen." He took a deep breath and closed his eyes.

"Sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith Kari." I watched as his symbol of light appeared, over his heart.

The others were turning to look when I closed my eyes. I focused on the small spark that I felt at our hands. I remember what I had done when I helped Rin with reforming the Digivices, this felt similar but different at the same time. I felt like I was floating suddenly, floating in a warm bubble. Everything was nice and peaceful for about seven seconds, a monstrous bellow tore through the peace and my eyes snapped opened.

"Pendragon's-!" Examon didn't get his attack off before he was swallowed by fire that came from the blue dragon Digimon that he had turned his back on in an attempt to try and blast us.

"Don't drop your guard Examon! You should know not to underestimate any of us!" The blue dragon Digimon roared out the words and began to drive Examon towards the ground yet I noticed it after a couple of seconds.

Everyone had Digivolved, not only Digivolved but went to Mega Level. I wasn't sure what had happened in the probably matter of mere seconds after I closed my eyes. My eyes remained locked on Examon being driven downwards but there had to be something that I was missing.

"Get off of me Wingdramon!" Examon's furious roar snapped my attention back to them; it had only been seconds since I looked away.

Examon managed to make the blue dragon Digimon let go; judging from what Examon called him the blue dragon was 'Wingdramon'. Examon might have gotten away from Wingdramon but he was restricted by thorns quickly and was getting swallowed by mist, Examon was slowing to a stop.

"What's going on?" What did I miss?

"We'll explain later and you two need to tell us what you guys did." I looked at T.K.; he was the only one who had even attempted to speak.

Tai and Davis were cheering for some reason yet it quickly became apparent why they seemed overly excited considering what was going on. Examon was frozen once more thanks to Vikemon but WarGreymon, Hououmon, Seraphimon along with Magnamon attacked together all at once. Their attacks combined and it shattered Vikemon's ice and tore Rosemon's vines yet seconds later I saw the sight that I hadn't thought I would see.

"Blaze Sonic Breath!" Wingdramon breathed fire but Examon was caught between Wingdramon's attack another, one that I could only assume came from Takuya.

The fire had first appeared almost like a condense ball of light so I hadn't been sure what it was but once it hit Examon it exploded and there was a rush of flames that quickly swallowed Examon. I watched between disbelief and awe as Examon just seemed to completely explode into data. We beat Examon. I didn't think we would actually beat him.

"Did that just happen?" The question slipped out, I didn't know what to do as I stared at where Examon had been.

"Yes, somehow that did just happen." I watched as our partners all reverted to In-Training, all but Wingdramon but he did land.

"Examon wasn't as strong as people assume him to be, he's a lot of talk and big in size. With enough opponents, especially if they actually work together he wouldn't be the hardest to bring down. Besides Examon betrayed his standing, all traitors are inflicted with a firewall that cuts their power if they turn their back on their post." Wingdramon glowed and then when the light was gone he was much smaller.

Instead of the massive blue dragon he was half the size of Agumon and he looked like a green seahorse with pink tipped black horns coming from his head. I blinked a couple of times trying to figure out how such a huge Digimon that seemed as stronger if not stronger than Examon shrank down to such a tiny Digimon. I knew that bigger wasn't always better but I hadn't expected it.

"Babydramon, you had interesting timing. I take it you're someone's partner as well." Wingdramon who must have De-Digivolved into 'Babydramon' laughed before going towards Nori, having glanced at the unknown Wizardmon.

"I thought I told you the reason I fought them was because they had the nerve to kidnap my partner." The unknown Wizardmon laughed before floating off of the ground.

"Since you're here I'll leave this group to you, I was asked to baby sit them since it was obvious as to what was going to happen. We were expecting that Lilithmon would actually probably appear but we were thankfully wrong and they just sent Examon." Wizardmon left after that, I was not aware that he could literally fly.

"Who is that Wizardmon?" It was slightly odd since the Wizardmon I was more familiar with beat us to the question.

"Him? Oh he only leaves that form if he's actually fighting seriously and he usually doesn't when it's not a battle that he and the 'resistance' fights. The 'resistance' is a group of Digimon that fights against the Demon Lords throughout various worlds." Babydramon had everyone's attention, he was nudging Nori softly.

"Well he leaves that form if his partner asks him to as well; he would do anything for his partner." Nori groaned and she swatted at Babydramon who easily dodged her.

"Examon said that he wasn't a 'plain' Digimon, he's a big name Digimon isn't he?" Babydramon laughed.

"Of course he is, he's the leader of the resistance. Baalmon the Demon Hunter, he's been gunning for the Demon Lords for years now." My eyes went wide because that meant he was Rin's partner.

"Why was he here instead of being with Rin!? Rin could've easily become a target since she's alone!" Nori sat up so quickly that I had to wonder what she was made of.

"He wouldn't leave her unguarded, besides your brother is there and if someone had attacked her then I'm pretty sure that ever so loyal knight would've put up enough fight for him to get back and stop anything bad from happening." Nori gave a nervous laugh.

"He's really here?" Babydramon nodded.

"Yes but we should probably worry about rescuing the people you came to save Nori, you know Dai and Kou will be upset once they find out that you fought not to mention you sort of lied to Dai." Was Babydramon her partner?

"Don't tell Dai and Kou, please Babydra?"

"Hahaha, I knew it!" Takuya's shout confused me; he was laughing and pointing at me for some reason.

"Hey!" Tai shouted it suddenly then suddenly Koji was backing away, we had still been holding hands without realizing it apparently.
