Freed's mother stood in her bathroom berating herself in front of the mirror contemplating her own existence. Most people their maternal instinct take over, and make them more nurturing, more understanding. But her, her emotions where going haywire, she was having trouble sleeping and she couldn't bring herself to eat. The thoughts assaulting her mind one by one, "what if they weren't giving Freed enough food". "What if he is hungry and scared", deep down she felt dead on the inside, and she knew the only way to lift this curse that had befallen her heart was to find her precious, precious baby boy. Whom she failed to protect, failed to show him the love that he so much deserved and craved so much that he had to find it in a stranger.

She knew this Laxus boy had done nothing wrong and in fact, she should be thankful, he protected her son when she didn't. Though she couldn't help feeling slightly envious of this boy, Freed had never just taken up to someone like that he was wary around people he didn't know. He wasn't the type to just trust anybody, unable to comprehend what she was trying so hard to wrap her mind around.

She turned on the faucet feeling the cold water running through her fingers, rubbing her hands over her face wiping away the weariness that had left bags under her eyes. Her hair was a disaster tangled into a messy bun a top her head, her usual green locks not sporting their usual glow.

She stared at her reflection a moment longer the look of determination igniting a new found hope within her, "I will get my son back" she told herself, as she stalked down the stairs to the kitchen where her husband was pacing, on the phone with magnolia police department. Looking to her with sadness in his eyes he thanked the officers for their time before hanging up the phone. Looking to his wife with sad eyes he spoke, "They found a Van and they have reason to believe it was the one used to transport Freed and that kid Laxus to wherever the hell they were taken.

Freeds Father never thought that his own brother would turn against him like this, he felt so stupid that he didn't even see the hatred in his own brothers eyes. That every time he passed Freeds room he'd go and sit on his bed and think what if I had been a better father, he'd remember the video the police had showed them and he blamed himself just as much as his wife did, how could they not see the toll their careers took on their own son, how could they not see the way Freed was treated by those who were supposed to protect him, to love him, and guide him, not cause him any pain.

"We need to talk to Makarov see if he knows any places Laxus might go where he feels safe, Freed could be at one." By the end of her sentence Freed's mother was nearly in tears. "Honey we will find him, I promise you we will get our boy back". Taken aback by the hatred in her husbands tone she could only wonder what it was like for him, Having flesh and blood betraying you, and taking your son only for such a materialistic thing MONEY.

Laxus and Freed-2 days later

Freed was scared Laxus has been unconscious for 2 days and he was beginning to worry, the blonde was shaking uncontrollably and the blood puddle beneath him was becoming larger by the second. His body had become stiff with the cold, and he was looking vey very pale, he was covered in bruises head to toe. His breathing becoming slower each breath a struggle for his battered body to handle, unbeknownst to Freed Laxus was trying his best to hide his pain. He felt like he had been set on fire his fever making him delirious, he lifted his head with more effort than he had hoped, seeing his mother before him telling him "You've gotta fight". He watched as her hair changed to green before his eyes, tears streamed down her face as she begged him "you gotta fight" her face morphed into that of Freeds.

"MOM" he groaned his pain filled voice forcing more tears down Freeds face even after he thought he was fresh out. But still he calmed himself and continued telling Laxus "you've gotta fight".

Laxus felt the pain of losing his mother all over again as his eyes rolled back and he was yet again stuck reliving the worst day of his short life.

The End

Just kidding

A ten year old Laxus stood at the store with his mom, he had worked up a hefty sum of change from helping his mother around the house and he wanted nothing more than to get her a gift. After all she was the most amazing woman he knew, why she was with his father he couldn't quite figure out. She showered him with love and affection like no one ever could, while his father treated him as though he weren't even there. He visibly smiled, remembering how she could shine so bright it would rival the sun. Freed watched as Laxus visible smiled in his unconscious state a tear leaving his eye, mixing with the blood and dirt beneath him.

Young Laxus walked down the countless aisles of the store hoping the perfect gift would catch his eye, and there it was the perfect gift a necklace in the shape of a heart. He quickly purchased it before going to find his mother, smiling he knew exactly what he was gonna do. "You ready honey" she asked as she finished grabbing her bags handing one to Laxus she had been skeptical about letting him look alone, but he had insisted he wanted it to be a surprise so she let him giving him a kiss to the cheek.

They left the store and...

Laxus gasped waking from his traumatic dream trembling uncontrollably. His eyes stung, the memory of his mother fresh in his mind tearing open new and old wounds. He scoured the room looking for Freed whom he knew just the sight would rebuild his shattered world. In such a short amount of time his dark and desolate life had been turned upside down and he owed it all to Freed. The love Freed had showed him he never thought he'd feel again, his mother was the only other person that had loved him that way, Besides his grandpa and he knew he could never tell those around him, thank you enough to make up for how stupid he had been at first without his mother he couldn't function . the doors opened and in walked Aizen and Freeds uncle, "well well well I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you don't look so good kid" laughed the master mind behind this whole ordeal. Finish him he turned to Freed smiling his sinister smile his father won't pay, and make my no it all little nephew watch".

"NO" Freed practically screamed "Nooooo"

"Freed look at him his like a wounded animal do you want to see him suffer, were just gonna put him out of his misery"

Defiantly Freed ran in front of Laxus his arms spread out in front of him "you cant hurt him Please don't hurt him", he fell to his knee's "please I love him" his begging continued as his uncle grabbed him forcing him to watch.

"Your beginning to test my patience kid" growled Aziin as he shoved Freed aside he proceeded to grab Laxus throat squeezing his fingers digging into Laxus flesh causing blood to trail down to his chest in little creeks. Freed fought against his uncles grip trying to get to Laxus, he watched in horror as Aizen lifted his blade gently slicing it across Laxus neck. But that wasn't the reason freed was in shock no, he was in shock because he could see Laxus had all but given up. Smiling as blood dripped from the corners of his mouth "Im sorry Freed I L..Love yo... to..." was all he got out before death welcomed him claiming him as its own bathing him in eternal darkness.

Freed ripped out of his uncle's arms dragging himself to Laxus clawing at his neck his chest everywhere trying to stop the bleeding, "Laxus you've gotta keep fighting" he screamed as he was left alone clutching his lovers body tears streaming down his face.

Now its The end!
