After the disagreement this morning, Kylee had ran upstairs taken a shower and gotten dressed. She was walking down the stairs when she heard voices. Shit she thought. She un-holstered her gun. She crept down the stairs when she heard Sara's voice. Fuck she thought. She replaced her gun, grabbed her badge and keys from the table by the door, and left.

She had promised Barry that they would meet for coffee. He wanted to talk about something with her. She didn't think much of it until Sara said something this morning. Could Barry really have feelings for her? They had tried dating once but decided against it for the good of the team. Maybe now things have changed. Kylee's heart sped up which for her meant a lot. Kylee's heartbeat was naturally faster than a normal person. Her's and Barry's both were. After the particle accelerator explosion, Kylee wasn't exactly normal.

She had gotten lost in her thoughts so when she looked up she was at Jitters. She took a deep breath and entered the coffee shop. Barry sat in their usual spot and he had already got both of them their drinks. Damn he was cute. She giggled. She walked over to the table and sat down. She could tell instantly that he was nervous. He was so cute when he was flustered.

"Hey" he said with the biggest goofiest smile.

"Hey."

"You look tired. Everything okay?"

"It is just Sara. Not a big deal. We will work it out later when we aren't so worked up."

"Okay. You just seem upset or something. I am worried about you."

"You are? Why?"

He sighed. "Guess this is happening now."

"What?"

"Listen Kylee. I have spent the last 2 weeks trying to find a good time and a good way to tell you all of this, but you know me. I can't figure anything out so I am just going to tell you now. I like you…. A lot. I think you are amazing and wonderful. You are the first person I want to see when I wake up and the last before I go to bed. I want spoil you like the princess you are. You are beautiful and you make me drool. I should never have ended things between us. My feelings for you never went away. I just ignored them and I can't do it anymore. I am dying. I want to take you out and make things right with you. I want to date you. I want to kiss you. I am falling hard for you and…" He stopped for a second. "Am I still talking?" He blushed really hard.

Kylee smiled. He was so cute when he got all worked up. She sat there for a moment. Did he really mean all of that? She breathed. "That was unexpected" she paused and he got tense. "But damn it was cute." She laughed. She stood up and walked over to Barry. He stood. She hugged him. She looked up at him and smiled. "Give me one second?"

"Of course."

She walked off and called Sara.

"Hello?"

"Hey. About tonight. I am going to have to cancel. If you want we can reschedule it later or we can go to lunch in about 2 hours. Got to go. Bye." She hung up and skipped back to Barry.

She sat back down and stared into his eyes. They both smiled. "So…" she started. "Dinner tonight then?" She smiled.

"Seriously?" Barry questioned. He obviously had not expected her to agree to trying again.

"You have other plans?"

"Not at all. Pick you at 8?"

"7? And we can go back to my place and watch a movie after?"

"Sounds amazing."

Both of their phones buzzed which meant one of two things. Either there was a dead body or a meta. Both prayed for the former but were greeted with the latter.

"Time to go to work" Barry said jokingly.
