It was another day in Metropolis, as Ash and his friends were hanging out in the base. Zee, Serena, and Misty were snuggling with Ash.

Dawn: [wraps her arms around him] I second that!
May: [kisses his cheek] Me too!
Ash: [giggles]
Kiawe: I'm impressed that you caught a Ponyta, Diana!
Diana: [feeding Ponyta apples and carrots] Thank you, young Kiawe!
Lillie: But now that you have seven Pokémon, who did you decide to place in the capsule?
Vulpix (Snowy): VUL?
Diana: Not to worry, my friends! My Feebas is always at home in its fish tank! I will not be bringing it out much!
Max: Diana, could I try feeding Ponyta please?
Diana: [as she hands him an apple] Of course!
Max: [takes the apple] Thank you! [offers Ponyta the apple] Here, Ponyta! Go ahead!
Then, it started eating the apple from Max's hand!
Max: Is it good?
Ponyta: [neighs]
Goh: I'm really jealous! A wanna catch a Ponyta too!
He then noticed Bonnie looking around for something.
Goh: What's up, Bonnie? Lose something?
Bonnie: Me, Dedenne, Pikachu, Grookey, and Haunter are playing! We're trying to find Haunter!
Dedenne: DENNE!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Grookey: GROOKEY!
That was when a block with a question mark on it floated above Bonnie's head and they then heard...
Haunter: [muffled giggling] HAUNT HAUNT HAUNT HAUNT HAUNT!
Bonnie: Hey! I hear it!
Pikachu: [jumps up] PIKA! [hits the block with its tail] PIKA!
[item appearing sound from Mario]
And out came...
Haunter: [saying "surprise"!] HAUNTER!
Bonnie: Found you, Haunter!
Haunter: [makes a silly face] HAUNT!
Pikachu: PIKA! [jumps into Ash's lap] [smiles] PIKACHU!
Ash: [giggles] Hey, buddy!
Pikachu: PIKACHU!
Sylveon: [jumps onto the couch] SYLVE! [nuzzles against Zee] VEON!
Zee: [cuddles it] I know, Sylveon! I love you too!
Sylveon: [happy] VEON!
Then, Jessica came in with an excited look on her face!
Jessica: [sliding down] I have amazing news, everyone!
Ash: Ooh! What's the news?
Goh: Yeah! What is it?
Serena: Yeah! Tell us!
Jessica: The school just gave me approval to do a fundraiser for a cause that is very dear to my heart, the Pit Roach!
Ash, Serena, Goh, Lillie, and Brock: Huh?
Ash: What's a Pit Roach?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Lycanroc: ROC?
Lucario: MRAH?
Growlithe: GROWL?
Kara: Whoa! That is amazing! Pit Roach is like my all time favorite band!
[heavy metal music playing]
Chewtle: [rocking] CHEWTLE CHEW!
Kara: Yeah! You go, Chewtle!
Buttercup: I doubt that it's a band?
Jessica: Not...that.
Mallow: Well, what IS a Pit Roach?
Tsareena: TSA?
Jessica: I'm talking about the Montisan Screeching Pit Roach. [shows them the jar] See?
The jar was holding a huge cockroach!
[chittering]

When Misty saw it…
Misty: [screams] AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! [as she leapt onto Ash's back] [scared] Get it away!
Buttercup: Relax! It's just a bug!
But when Blossom and Bubbles saw it...
Blossom: [scared] Ew! Icky!
Blossom and Bubbles: [crying a waterfall from their eyes]
Buttercup: [irritated] Seriously?! Not in front of our friends!
Treecko: [sighs] TREECKO.
Jessica: This Queen and her so-called invasive species have just come to Metropolis. Can you believe the city wants to squash these exquisite creatures?
Misty: [terrified] Exquisite?! You call that creepy bug exquisite?! Just get it outta here!
Ash: Easy, Misty! I got you!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Jessica: I've been collecting them at my home to keep them safe, but my Moms aren't super thrilled.
[chitters loudly]
Jessica's Mom: [screams]
Misty: [shocked] YOU'RE KEEPING THEM IN YOUR HOUSE?!
Jessica: Yeah!
Misty: [shudders]
Goh: Good grief!
Jessica: So I've decided to raise money to build a Pit Roach Sanctuary in Metropolis Park for all to enjoy!
Brock: That's a good idea!
Reuniclus: [saying she's a genius] REUNICLUS!
Jessica: [rubs its head] Thanks, Reuniclus!
Reuniclus: [happy] NICLUS!
Jessica: Designing it was tricky, because it's very important to keep the Pit Roaches separated. [gravely] For if they were ever to assemble together-
Kara: Gah! Okay! Guys, that thing just looked right at me and, I swear, it mouthed the words, "I will eat you." [screams] [hides behind a chair]
Ash: [sweat drops] Oh, Kara!
Pikachu: [sweat drops] PIKA!
Goh: [sweat drops] She's really against that insect!
Cinderace: [sweat drops] RACE!
Kara: [shudders]
Incineroar: [bonks her on the head] ROAR!
Kara: Hey! What was that for?!
Incineroar: [telling Kara to stop being a chicken] ROAR INCINEROAR!
Kara: I am not!
Buttercup: You kinda are since you're scared of a bug!
Kara: Who asked you?!
Diana: So, what was this about a fundraiser?
Jessica: I am hosting a talent show!
Ash: A talent show?
Pikachu: PIKA?
Babs: [whoops] Li'l Harleen and I had a comedy act in Gotham. It would kill here!
Jessica: I was hoping you'd all help with the show! Zee, you can perform magic.
Ash: Yes!
Zee: I sing, dance and act, too, [makes a picture of herself appear] if that helps.
Sylveon: VEON!
Ash: [eyes sparkle] Wow, Zee! You're so amazing!
Zee: Thank you, Ashykins!
Ash: Although, now that I think about it! Can make a suggestion for a plan b for the fundraiser, Jess?
Jessica: Hm?
Ash: Well, what if we did something else original? Like have an orchestra play a symphonic fairytale?
Kara: [sarcastic] Ooh! How fun! What's it gonna be? [unamused] Little Red Riding Hood?
Ash: No! Peter and the Wolf!
Babs: Huh?
Ash: Peter and the Wolf is a musical composition written by Sergei Prokofiev in 1936. The narrator tells the story, while the orchestra illustrates it by using different instruments to play a "theme" that represents each character in the story. It is Prokofiev's most frequently performed work and one of the most frequently performed works in the entire classical repertoire. [as he pulls out his Rotom Phone] And it's played with these instruments! Rotom, tell them which instruments play each of the characters in Peter and the Wolf!

Ash: It's alright! I understand!

Jessica: But I'll tell you what! Next fundraiser we do, we'll take up your suggestion! Sound fair?

Jessica: Kara can shred on her guitar.
Kara: Rock on!
Incineroar: [rocking] CINEROAR!
Jessica: Karen, you'll run tech.
Karen: Backstage? Yes.
Jessica: Serena, you and your Pokémon will perform like you're in a Showcase.
Serena: Okay!
Delphox: DELPHOX!
Pancham: PANCHAM PAN!
Serena's Sylveon: VEON!
Jessica: May and Dawn, same goes for you, like you're in a Pokémon Contest.
Dawn: Okay!
May: Sure!
Dawn: Let's do our best, Piplup!
Piplup: [determined] PIPLUP!
She then took out a ball capsule and sticker.
Babs: Ooh! What's that?
Dawn: It's a Ball Capsule! Every Coordinator has one!
Kara: And what's with the fancy sticker?
Dawn: They're seals! [returns Piplup] First, [as she placed the PokéBall into the capsule] you place the PokéBall into the Ball Capsule! [as she seals the sticker] Then, you seal the seal on! Then, you throw it! [as she tosses the PokéBall] Like this!
Piplup: [appearing with bubbles] PIPLUP!
That left everyone in awe!
Karen: Wow!
Dawn: Impressed? In a contest, it's important to make a good first impression right out of the PokéBall!
Zee: She has a point!
Jessica: And for the finale, I have written a duet about the beauty of the Montisan Screeching Pit Roach.
Zee: Jess, since you'll be busy singing such an important song, you'll probably want an experienced director.
Jessica: Oh, thanks, Zee, but I am not singing this song, so I will be free to direct.
Zee: Twist my arm. I'll sing and you direct.
Ash: That's an awesome idea! You're an awesome singer, Zee!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Zee: Thanks, Ashykins!
Jessica: Actually, I thought Diana would sing.
Diana: I am honored that you have entrusted me with this most critical endeavor. I consider it a true privilege to have been bestowed this-

Dawn: Jessica! Interrupting isn't very ladylike!
Piplup: [agreeing] PIPLUP!

Diana: It is quite alright. Of course. Though, in fairness, I must confess I have never sung before.
Jessica: Diana, I have full confidence you sing just as you do everything else. Amazingly!
Zee: [bats her eyes] Did someone say duet-
Jessica: Oliver is singing the other part, Zee.
Zee: Oh.
Sylveon: [pouts] VEE!
Ash: [pouts] Why Oliver?! I hate that hypocrite!
Pikachu: [pouts] PIKACHU!
Ralts (Airalin): [taps Zee's boot for attention] RALTS!
Zee: Yes, Airalin?
Ralts (Airalin): [saying Oliver's a big meanie] RALTS RALTS!
Zee: I know!
Ash: [gasps] Zee, I think I may have an idea!
Zee: What is it, dear?
Ash: Why don't you perform your magic with Sylveon and Mismagius?
Sylveon: [excited] SYLVEON SYLVE!
Mismagius: [excited] MISMAGIUS!
Zee: [gasps] Of course! Brilliant idea!
She then hugs him and nuzzles cheeks with him.
Zee: You are a genius!
Ash: [giggles]
Babs: Ash, you should join too!
Ash: Whoa! Me be in the talent show?!
Pikachu: PIKA?!
Babs: Of course! May and Dawn told us you did Pokémon contests before! You should do it too!
Ash: Really?
Zee: Yeah! Please, Ashykins?
Ash: Oh what the heck! I'll do it!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Zee: Yay!
Zee's Sylveon: [happy] SYLVE!
Zee: This will be awesome [hugs him]! [kisses his cheek] Mwah!
Ash: [giggles] Yeah!
Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!
Jessica: Now, come on!
Soon, they were at the school's theater.
Jessica: We have a show to rehearse!
Zee: [uses her magic to make her hat appear] [puts on her hat] [singing] That's right! She's gone! But not for very long!
Sylveon: [singing] VEON!
Mismagius: [singing] MISMAG!
Ash: [applauds] Yeah! Awesome!
Pikachu: [applauds] PIKA PIKA!
Jessica: Zee? Just stick to the magic, okay?
She just gave her an unamused look.
Sylveon: [pouting] VEON!
Mismagius: [pouting] MISMAGIUS!
Ash: [pouts] Hmph!
Pikachu: [pouts] PIKA!
However, Ash held up a card that had the number 10 on it, causing Zee to smile.
Zee: [giggles]
Kara was getting ready to play her guitar.
[distortion echoes]
[guitar music playing]
Incineroar: [rocking] INCINEROAR!
The music was so loud, it was pushing everyone back!
Ash: Whoa!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Serena was up next, and she was in her showcase dress.
Serena: Here we go! Delphox, Flamethrower!
Delphox: [Flamethrower move] DEL...PHOX!
Serena: Pancham, Stone Edge!
Pancham: [Stone Edge move] PAN...CHAM!
Serena: Sylveon, Fairy Wind!
Serena's Sylveon: [Fairy Wind move] SYL...VEON!
Serena: Altaria, Dragon Breath!
Altaria: [Dragon Breath move] AL...TARIA!
All the moves combined to create a beautiful mass of fireworks!
Karen: [eyes sparkle] Ooh...
Ribombee: [amazed] RIBOM...
Jessica: Incredible!
Reuniclus: [amazed] REU...
Ash: Awesome!
Pikachu: [amazed] PIKA PIKA...
Zee: [applauds] Bravo!

The Kalos performer then looked over to Ash.
Serena: [winks flirtatiously] [giggles]

After she got off the stage, she went up to her soulmate.
Serena: Well, what did you think, Ashy?
Ash: Fantastic as always!
Serena: Thanks, Ashy!
She then kisses his cheek.
Serena: You're always so sweet!
Ash: I try!
Serena: [hugs him] And that's why I love you so much, my sweet handsome man!
Ash: [blushes] [giggles]
Incineroar: [goes over to Delphox] [thumbs up] CINE!
Delphox: PHOX!
Lucario: [praising Pancham] MRAH MRAH!
Pancham: [proud] PANCHAM!
Zee's Sylveon: [to Serena's Sylveon] [saying it was amazing] SYLVE!
Serena's Sylveon: SYLVEON!
Zee: Serena, you were fabulous! You're just as talented and amazing as me!
Serena: [giggles] Thank you, Zee!
Growlithe: [amazed by Delphox] GROWLITHE!
Ash: You enjoyed it, didn't you, Growlithe?
Pikachu: PIKA!
Growlithe: [nods] GROWL!
Soon, it was Dawn and May's turn! And they were in their contest outfits!
Dawn: [tosses PokéBalls] Piplup! Buneary! Spotlight!
May: [tosses PokéBalls] Blaziken! Beautifly! Onstage!
And out came...
Piplup: [appearing with bubbles] PIPLUP!
Buneary: [appearing with hearts] BUNEARY!
Blaziken: [appearing with flames] BLAZIKEN!
Beautifly: [appearing with stars] BEAUTIFLY!
Zee: Beautiful!
Dawn: And now, Piplup, spin and use Bubble Beam!
Piplup: [spinning around and using Bubble Beam] PIP...LUP LUP LUP LUP LUP LUP LUP LUP!
May: Now, Beautifly, use Psychic!
Beautifly: [Psychic move] BEAUTIFLY!
The Psychic made the bubbles from Bubble Beam into a ball!
Dawn: Now, Buneary, use Ice Beam!
Buneary: [Ice Beam move] BUN...EARY!
The Ice Beam froze the Bubble Beam ball into an ice crystal!
Dawn: Follow it up with Dizzy Punch!
Buneary: [Dizzy Punch move] BUNEARY!
One hit from the Dizzy Punch made the crystal crack and it broke creating beautiful sparkles!
May: And now, for the final act! The fusion of fire!
Dawn: And water! Piplup, Bubble Beam!
May: Blaziken, use Fire Spin!
Piplup: [Bubble Beam move] PIP...LUP LUP LUP!
Blaziken: [Fire Spin move] BLAZIKEN!
With Piplup underneath, spinning, and Blaziken above, the two used the opposing attacks to fuse together with power creating red and blue sparks!
Dawn and May: Finished!
And the group applauded!
Zee: Oh, bravo!
Ash: That's my beautiful coordinators for you!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Karen: That was amazing!
Jessica: Even I loved it!
Kara: That was truly awesome!
Babs: It was spectacular!
Dawn: Thanks, everyone!
Piplup: PIPLUP!
The two coordinators then turn to Ash.
May: Especially you, Ashy!
Ash: No problem, girls! You're still the best coordinators I know!
Dawn: Thanks, sweetheart!
Then...
Raye: [coming in with her stage outfit on] Hi, everyone! Am I too late to audition?
Ash: Hey, Raye! Over here!
Pikachu: PIKA PIKA!
Raye: [coming over to the group] Sorry I'm a little late! Amara was giving me a lift in her car, but it got stuck in traffic, so I had to walk all the way here!
Jessica: How come you came anyway?
Reuniclus: REUNICLUS?
Raye: Duh! For the talent show of course! Ashy called and invited me! I had to take some time to find the outfit I'm wearing right now! He even invited Michelle to come for the talent show to play her violin!
Ash: Wow! You look beautiful, Raye!
Pikachu: PIKACHU!
Raye: Thanks, Ashy!
She then kisses his forehead and cups his cheek with a gloved hand.
Raye: You're still the sweetest guy ever!
Ash: I try!
Jessica: So, what can you do exactly?
Raye: Well, I am a good singer!
Ash: Yeah! She's really awesome at it!
Pikachu: PIKA PI!
Jessica: I hate to burst your bubble, Raye, but Diana's gonna be singing!
Raye: [disappointed] Aw, man!
Jessica: But, I'll tell you what! We'll use you as an understudy! Sound fair?
Raye: [pouts] Ok!
Ash: Well, I still think you look pretty cute, Raye!
Pikachu: PIKACHU!
Raye: [smiles] Thanks, Ashy!
She then kissed his cheek.
Raye: [plays with his cheeks with her gloved hands] You're always so sweet!
Ash: I try! Oh! I have an idea! After the finale, you can sing your song as a bonus event!
Raye: [gasps] Of course! Great idea!
Jessica: I second that! We'll do it!

Ash: [blushes] [giggles]
Babs was now doing her comedy routine, and she seemed to have a puppet of Harleen.
Babs: Say, 'Lil Harleen? What's the difference between Batman and a robber? [high pitched voice] I don't know, Babsy. What is the difference between Batman and a robber? [normal voice] Batman can go to a bank without "Robin"! [laughs]
Ash: [laughs]
Pikachu: [laughs] PIKA!
Jessica: Just checking. You thought "Lil Harleen" was just Babs' nickname for Harleen, too, right?
Goh: [sweat drops] I kinda find that puppet a bit creepy!

Karen: Well, at least we have Diana's finale.
Ash: Yeah! I bet it's gonna be awesome!

Oliver: [singing] I'm a Queen in my own land, But I'm reviled On this foreign sand!

Buttercup: For once, I agree with Kara! Your vocals need some serious work!
Diana: I, Princess Diana of Themyscira, stink at something?!
Oliver: I'm happy to take the whole song…
Goh: [sternly] Oliver! Don't make us regret choosing you!
That shut Oliver up instantly!
Diana: [to Oliver] You will do no such thing! I cannot accept failure. I will do as I have always done when faced with a challenge. I will train! I will train until I am the greatest singer of all!
Ash: [smiles determinedly] Yeah! That's the spirit, Diana!
Pikachu: PIKACHU!
Buttercup: You might need to train your vocals real hard in order to become the greatest singer, which is probably gonna be no walk in the park!
Jessica: Someone can't just learn a natural talent.
May: Yeah! Things like these take time, Diana!
Dawn: I agree! Me and May have had experience!
Serena: Same goes for me!
Diana: [gasps] Then that someone wasn't trying hard enough.
After drinking a bunch of tea with lemons and honey…
Diana: Prepare to recant all prior assertions of stinkage, for I… am ready!
[plays piano]
Diana: [singing badly] You are a Queen and you're-
Kara: Nope!
Luxio: [growls] LUX!
Jessica: [gasps] Kara! [whispers] Thank you.
Ash: [sternly] Jess! I heard that!
Pikachu: [sternly] PIKA!
Jessica: [nervous chuckles]
Raye: Um... If you want, Diana! I can give you some vocal lessons later on?
But that didn't help Diana at all!
Diana: I- I failed… [as Zee, Kara, Babs, Karen, and Dawn hug her] in front of everyone.
Karen: It's okay, Diana. We still love you.
Zee: Yeah, who cares? There are so many things you're great at!
Kara: And we're all bad at something. I mean, look how bad I am at telling people they're bad at something.
Incineroar: [facepalms] ROAR!
Diana: No, I cannot be bad at something! I swear by Chiron's hooves, by this time tomorrow, all shall tremble at my voice! [leaves]
Ash: Diana!
Raye: Wait!
Babs: [takes out her Harleen puppet] [high-pitched voice] Does she realize some of us was already kind tremblin' at it?
Goh: [to Kara and Buttercup] [annoyed] Nice going, you two!
Buttercup: Hey! She's the one that needs vocal lessons! Not us!
Dawn: Well you didn't have to be so rude about it!
Piplup: [agreeing] PIPLUP!
Buttercup: Whatever!
Little did they know, a certain trio in disguise were about to audition!
Jessie (Jesselinda): Yoohoo! My name's Jesselinda! And I'm here to audition for the talent show!
Jessica: Oh! Really?
Jessie (Jesselinda): Indeed! I have the makings a true blue actress!
Babs: Well, it wouldn't hurt to see one more act!
Jessica: Alright! Go ahead!
Jesselinda: Excellent! [makes her way to the stage] One side! Shining Star coming through!
Kara: Let's see what she's got!
Zee: I just hope it's good!

Jessica: Okay! That was pretty good!
Jessie (Jesselinda): Why thank you! [points to Ash] And I might be a good replacement for the boy! After all, I'm destined for fame and fortune!

Incineroar: [carrying Jessie (Jesselinda) over its shoulder] ROAR!

Kara: Get her outta here, Incineroar!

James: [in disguise] Now listen here! Either Jesselinda gets to be in the talent show...
Meowth: [in disguise] Or we tear this theater to smithereens!

Bubbles: Again!

Bubbles: I think Absol is saying that it wants Diana to be its master!
