Events happened years ago for Kari and some friends that no one besides her know about. Harboring memories of those events both helped and harmed Kari over the years. Suddenly though she's faced with those memories and people from her past - it was good either. Follow Kari as she has to take a step out of her comfort zone with old friends of hers to fight a war that isn't pleasant.

86. Communication - Note From Author -

Dear Readers,

It has been a while since I have updated this. There has been a lot that has happened in my life as well. Recently, I've gotten emails informing that the story has been added to favorites and followed – which is why I have decided to write this note. Kari's Secret is essentially dead, which may not be a total surprise since it hasn't been updated since November 2019. I stared this story almost ten years ago now – publishing at least since it existed before I published it. I will be honest, I started this story when I was thirteen years old. I never planned stories out back then or wrote any ideas down and when I started to write again things got lost and messy. I started to build out ideas that needed pieces to have long been added but I forgot to go back and edit those things in so things just sort of appeared out of nowhere. Things were rushed at first as well and messily happened.

Kari's Secret though is a story that is rather near and dear to my heart – it was the first story I ever posted. It was something I had passion for, even now I have a sort of passion for it. While I want to say I'd pick it up and finish it out I don't think that's possible with how it is as of now. Things are too messy and I feel like I'd have to edit it way too much to move forward. However, I could revive it in another way potentially.

I wrote out an entire plot for a rewrite of the story – seventy-three pages worth of plotting, from start to finish, actually. I never wrote it because of everything that's happened in the past couple of years. I also started to feel like no really cared about the story any longer so I didn't feel the desire to turn all those ideas into a story. I cannot promise I would be able to due to time constraints or even if I did how fast updates would be but I could start that rewrite, give this story another chance with writing that is hopefully more advanced and seemingly a lot more formulated than before.

If anyone would be interested then let me know? Otherwise, I think this story can be pronounced dead. I have no real way forward anymore for the story as it is – which may seem a bit weird in a way since stories are essentially made up as you go along but there's too many pieces that I built around certain powers now that I cannot even explain good enough in this version of the story.
