12. Return of the Queen

Hi, everyone! It's time for another chapter of DC Superhero Girls and Aura Guardian! In this chapter, a very evil and familiar face returns and brings forth the darkness! An evil queen even! Fasten your seatbelts, because you're about to be thrilled by this chapter! All aboard for a new adventure!

It was a lovely Autumn day in Metropolis! Everyone looked forward to this time of season! [as narrator sees a very unhappy Pam Isley] Well, almost! They loved seeing the leaves changing color, children playing in the fallen leaves, feeling an Autumn breeze through the air! And the best part for teenagers, was hearing spooky stories! Which is exactly what Ash, Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, Ritchie, Casey, the Alola Gang, Goh, Chloe, the Super Hero Girls, minus Babs and Karen, and the Sailor Scouts were doing! And Lana was telling one of her scary stories!

Ash: [nervous a bit] W-What happened next, Lana?

Pikachu: PIKA?

Lana: [spookily] They say that every Autumn during a blood moon, an evil sorceress comes to plague the world in eternal darkness and steals energy from anything or anyone in the way until they've been turned... TO STONE!

Ash and Goh: [scream]

Lana: [spookily] So, stay inside or you'll be the evil sorceress' next victim!

Zee and Serena clung tightly to Ash in fear!

Zee: I'm scared!

Serena (Pokémon): Me too!

Kara: Eh, you guys are just a bunch of scaredy cats! Evil sorceress! What a bunch of hooey!

Incineroar: [not scared] CINE!

Lucario: [not scared] MRAH MRAH!

Kara: See, li'l bro? Lucario ain't scared!

Lana: [spookily] And they say they curse the toughest girls by turning them into roaches.

Kara: Roaches?! [as she shoots up to the ceiling and clings to it like a cat] WAH! [panting]

Lana: [smiles cheekily] Kidding! [sticks her tongue out] NYAH!

Kara: Uh... [playing it cool] I knew that!

Gladion: Sure you did, Kara.

Lillie: [notices Ash nervous a bit] Ash, are you okay?

Ash: [composes himself] [smiles] Don't worry, Lillie! I'm good! [to Zee, Serena, Raye, Mina, Lita, and Amy] If such a thing existed, it would have to go through me first if it wanted to harm my girls!

Zee: Spoken like a true guardian!

Serena (Pokémon): A very brave guardian!

Raye: A very brave and handsome guardian!

Ash: [blushes] [chuckles] Aw, girls! I'm not that handsome!

Lita: You kidding?! You're the only handsome guy around!

Raye: Totally!

Zee: [hugs him and rubs his cheek with her hand] The most handsomest man in the world! [kisses his other cheek]

Ash: [blushes] [giggles]

Pikachu: [giggles] PIKACHU!

Chloe: I honestly hope that story really isn't true! It wouldn't be good for any of us!

Eevee: [agreeing] EEVEE VEE!

Sophocles: I couldn't agree more!

Togedemaru: TOGEDE!

Jessica: Come on, guys! There's nothing to be afraid of! It's just a story!

Ash: [noticing Babs and Karen coming in] Hey, Babs! Karen!

Pikachu: PIKA!

Babs: Hey, guys!

Goh: Where have you two been all day?

Cinderace: CINDERACE!

Babs: The Burrito Bucket! [as she holds up a bucket of burritos] And we brought some burritos!

Sophocles: [worried] Y-You didn't run into any evil sorceresses, did you?

Karen: Evil sorceress?

Babs: Whatchu talkin' about, Sophocles?

Ritchie: Lana was telling scary stories!

Babs: Aw man! You mean we missed out on a good scary story?!

Casey: Afraid so! And it was definitely a good one!

Karen: And I'm guessing the scary story she told was about an evil sorceress?

Serena/Usagi: It was! Although, it sounded really similar to Queen Beryl!

Gladion: Queen Beryl?

Kara: Who is she?

Incineroar: INCIN?

Luna: She was an evil queen! The ruler of the Negaverse! A very bad place indeed!

Artemis: Long ago, Beryl and her minions of the Negaverse attacked the Moon Kingdom. The Negaverse defeated the Sailor Scouts, and Beryl took Princess Serena and Prince Darien. Queen Serenity, the ruler of the Moon Kingdom, had no choice but to use up all her power to unleash a Cosmic Moon Power attack that sealed the Negaverse, Beryl, and all their minions inside the Imperium Silver Crystal. The reason Serenity did not destroy them was because this would destroy Serena and the others too, and therefore they were sealed inside the crystal as well. Before dying, Serenity sent them into the future to be reborn on Earth.

Luna: Though, Beryl came back and tried to steal energy from human beings to fuel the NegaForce! But the Sailor Scouts always thwart their plans! And during the final battle, the Sailor Scouts combined their powers and defeated Queen Beryl and the Negaverse for good!

Clemont: Incredible!

Babs: [deeply gasps] [to Darien] You're a prince?!

Lana: [to Serena/Usagi] And you're a princess?!

Serena/Usagi: Well, yes!

Lillie and Chloe: Incredible!

Luna: But due to reincarnation, our Serena was a total klutz and a crybaby who likes sleeping and snacking on sweets and never gets her homework done despite the study group Raye always schedules at her temple on Cherry Hill!

Raye, Kara, and Ritchie: [snicker]

Artemis: And Darien would always try to insult her in more ways than one!

Diana (Sailor Moon): And how!

Darien: It's true! [to Serena/Usagi] Still, you'll always be my princess, babe! [kisses her cheek]

Serena/Usagi: Oh, Darien! [giggles]

Mallow: Aww!

Zee: And I'm your princess, Ashykins! [bats her eyelashes]

Ash: [blushes] Y-Yeah! Of course you are!

Zee: [snuggles against him] And your MY prince!

Serena (Pokémon): [snuggles against him] That goes for me too!

Ash: [blushes] [giggles]

Luna: Though, I've been thinking! What if the evil sorceress in Lana's story is actually Queen Beryl?

Artemis: But that's impossible, Luna! Queen Beryl is no longer around! She hasn't been around for many years!

Kiawe: Besides, Lana's stories are made up! Most of the time!

Luna: Well, Kiawe! One can never be too sure!

Ash: [stomach growling]

Sophocles: [scared] YIKE! [jumps into Kara's arms] It's the evil sorceress!

Jessica: Relax, Sophocles! That was Ash's stomach!

Sophocles: Oh! [chuckles embarrassed]

Togedemaru: MARU!

Zee: Guess that means [pinches Ash's cheek] my Ashykins is hungry!

Ash: [chuckles embarrassedly] I guess so!

Babs: Good thing I brought back some burritos! And for our little putty tats, I got them fish burritos!

Mallow: Hold on, Babs! I got a better idea!

Babs: Huh? What are you talking about, Mallow?

Mallow: I think it's high time our Metropolis friends got a taste of my cooking!

Kara: Ah, [rubs her hands together] I like the sound of that!

Diana: Well, one must always partake in new kinds of cuisines!

Mallow: Great! I'll be right back! [heads into the kitchen]

Serena (Pokémon): Hold on, Mallow! It's such a beautiful day! Why don't we do it outside?

Mallow: Well... Okay!

Serena: [pulls out her guidebook] Ta-da! There's this open area near the forest!

Sophocles: [worried] Wait! You mean out there?! Bu-But what if we bump into the... [gulps] evil sorceress?!

Kara: Dude! There isn't an evil sorceress!

Zee: [hugs Ash's arm] And if there is, my man will protect us!

Ash: Yeah!

Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKACHU!

Sophocles: [gulps] Gee, Togedemaru! Are we that hungry?

That's when their stomachs started growling!

Togedemaru: [affirmative] TOGEDEMARU!

Sophocles: [groans in defeat] Okay! We'll go!

Mallow: Then let's go!

Then...

Blossom: [off-screen] Wait for us!

Ash: Huh?

Pikachu: PIKA?

Then, Sam, Alex, Clover, Brittney and the Powerpuff Girls Z came in!

Alex: Think we could tag along with you guys on your picnic?

Goh: Sure! I don't see why not!

Ash: Yeah! The more the merrier! Let's get going!

Everyone except Ash: Yeah!

Sam's Wobbuffet: [popping out] WOBBUFFET!

Soon, they arrived at the area near the forest!

Ash: Whoa! Check it out!

Pikachu: [amazed] PIKA PIKA...

The area was so spacious and there was a large lake there were even some wild Pokémon around!

Lillie: Incredible!

Vulpix (Snowy): [amazed] VUL...

Goh: It's so spacious!

Chloe: And look at all of the Pokémon!

Chloe's Eevee: EEVEE!

Mallow: I'll start making the food! You guys go have fun and maybe take a dip in the lake!

Tsareena: TSAREENA!

Ash: Okay! Come on, guys! Let's go for a swim!

Pikachu: PIKA!

Kara: Yeah! Last one in is a rotten egg!

Soon, some of our heroes were swimming and some were watching! And some like Zee and Clover had only stuck their feet in the water!

Babs: C'mon, girls! You're missing out!

Zee: You kidding? I don't wanna ruin my makeup! [flips her hair] And that goes for my magnificent hair as well!

Kara: [rolls her eyes] Drama queen.

Zee: Besides, [flirts] Ashy likes my magnificent look!

Ash: Yeah! Of course I do! You're very beautiful!

Pikachu: PIKACHU!

Zee: [giggles]

Sylveon was currently admiring herself from the reflection of the water!

Sylveon: VEON!

But then, under the water, Kara was up to her old tricks! First, she grabbed Zee and Clover's leg and she pulled them into the water!

Zee and Clover: GAH!

Then, they splashed into the water!

Clover: Ugh!

Zee: [with her mascara running] [angry] Kara!

Kara: [chuckles]

Ash: Don't worry, Zee! I'll bet you needed to cool off anyway!

Pikachu: PIKA!

Ash: [gets out of the water and gives her a towel] Here ya go, Zee!

Zee: Thank you, Ashykins!

She then used the towel to dry herself off.

Zee: You're such a gentleman, Ashykins!

Ash: Thanks, Zee Zee! I'll help you with makeup a little later! Why don't you take this chance and swim with your Ashykins?

Pikachu: PIKACHU!

Zee: Well... Okay! Why not! I needed to cool off anyway!

After swimming for a while, everyone got out and dried off!

Zee: Well, that was fun! I haven't had this much fun swimming in a long time!

Buttercup: That's because you're super sensitive about your looks!

Zee: [flips her hair] Naturally!

Buttercup: Oh brother!

Zee: [moves closer to Ash] And besides, my Ashykins loves my looks no matter what they are!

Ash: [blushes] [smiles] Yeah! Of course I do!

Zee: You see, Buttercup?

Buttercup: Yeah yeah!

Zee: [hugs Ash's arm] [with a bunch of hearts around them] I love you so much, Ashykins!

Ash: And I love you so much too, Zee Zee!

Pikachu: PIKACHU!

Serena: [hugs Ash's arm] [with a bunch of hearts around them] And that goes double for me, Ashy!

Ash: Same to you, Serena!

Then, they gave Ash a double cheek kiss!

Ash: [blushes] [giggles]

Clemont: Why don't we let our Pokémon roam around?

Ash: Good idea! [tosses his PokéBalls] Come on out, gang!

Lucario: [appearing] MRAH MRAH!

Dragonite: [appearing] BRWAR!

Growlithe: [appearing] GROWLITHE!

Lycanroc: [appearing] LYCANROC!

Goh: Ash, I only see five Pokémon, including Pikachu!

Ash: That's because I had Professor Oak send over one of my Pokémon!

Pikachu: PIKACHU!

Babs: Ooh! Really? Which one?

Bonnie: I wanna see! I wanna see!

Zee: I wanna see it too, Ashy dearest!

Ash: You got it! [tosses PokéBall] Come on out, Quilava!

Quilava: [appearing] QUILAVA!

Babs: Wait? A Quilava? But I thought Dawn had a Quilava?

Ash: She does! I caught mine as a Cyndaquil during my journey in Johto!

Pikachu: PIKA!

Zee: Hmm... [pulls out her Rotom Phone]

Zee's Rotom Phone: Quilava, the Volcano Pokémon. A Fire type, and the evolved form of Cyndaquil. Before battle, it turns its back on its opponent to demonstrate how ferociously its fire blazes.

Zee: That's pretty cool!

Ash: Quilava, I'd like you to meet my Metropolis girlfriend, Zee Zatara!

Pikachu: PIKACHU!

Quilava: QUILA? [greeting Zee] QUILAVA!

Zee: [kneels down and pets Quilava on the head] Nice to meet you, Quilava!

Quilava: [happy] QUILA!

Zee: Ooh! You feel so warm!

Quilava: QUILAVA!

Clemont: Well, Quilava is a Fire type! And Quilava can blaze its fire from the top of its head and from behind!

Growlithe: [greeting Quilava] GROWLITHE GROWL!

Quilava: [greeting] QUILAVA!

Kiawe: Would you look at that!

Jessica: They're friends already!

Ash: Alright, everyone! Go ahead and have fun!

And they did just that!

Chloe's Eevee: [frolicking] EEVEE VEE!

Ash: You know! It's actually kinda nice out here!

Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PI!

Zee: [leans her head onto Ash's shoulder] It sure is!

Ash: Yeah! You wanna know something, Zee?

Zee: What is it, my dear?

Ash: [smiles] You're very pretty!

Zee: And you are very handsome!

She then started to cuddle him like a teddy bear.

Zee: Mine!

Ash: Hm?

Zee: You're my love bug!

She then kissed his cheek and left a lipstick mark.

Ash: [blushes] [giggles]

Ritchie: [sniffs the air] P.U.! Something smells!

Kara: [sniffs the air] UGH!

Buttercup: [sniffs the air] [gags] What IS that smell?!

Lillie: [fans herself] How revolting!

Vulpix (Snowy): [disgusted] [holding its nose] VUL!

Kara: [to Zee] Zee, was that you?!

Zee: Um, excuse me?

Kara: [raises an eyebrow] Did you cut the cheese?

Zee: [gasps offendedly] Are you accusing me of doing something so gross and unladylike?!

Stunky: [walks out of a bush] STUNKY.

Zee: EEK! [jumps into Ash's arms] A SKUNK!

Ash: That's a Stunky!

Pikachu: PIKACHU!

Jessica: Stunky? [pulls out her Rotom Phone]

Jessica's Rotom Phone: Stunky, the Skunk Pokémon. A Poison and Dark type. The foul fluid from its rear is so revolting that it can make people feel queasy up to a mile and a quarter away.

Jessica: I honestly wouldn't want to go anywhere near that thing!

Stunky: [points its rear end] STUNK!

Ash: Oh no you don't! Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!

Pikachu: [Thunderbolt move] PIKA... CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

Stunky: [electrocuted] STUNK!

Goh: [tosses PokéBall] PokéBall, go!

The PokéBall hit the Stunky and it got sucked into it! And with a few shakes and a 'ping'...

Goh's Rotom Phone: Stunky has been registered to your Pokédex!

Goh: Alright!

Cinderace: [happy] CINDERACE!

Grookey: [happy] GROOKEY!

Zee hugged Ash and pressed her cheek against his!

Zee: Thanks for saving me from that Stunky, Ashykins!

Ash: [smiles] No problem, Zee!

Pikachu: PIKACHU!

Zee: You're my hero! [kisses him on the lips]

And Ash gladly kissed back, just as Babs spotted something in the water.

Babs: Hey! Look! There's something in the water!

Swoobat: SWOOBAT?

Serena (Pokémon): What is it?

Babs: [squats down and looks] Hmm...

Quagsire: [pokes its head out of the water] QUAGSIRE.

Babs: [startled] Whoa!

Casey: That's a Quagsire!

Babs: [as she pulls out her Rotom Phone] Hmmmm.

Babs' Rotom Phone: Quagsire, the Water Fish Pokémon. A Water and Ground type, and the evolved form of Wooper. It has an easygoing nature. It doesn't care if it bumps its head on boats and boulders while swimming.

Kara: Talk about gutsy!

Buttercup: It kinda has a dopey face!

Quagsire: [insulted] QUAG! [Water Gun move] QUAGSIRE!

Buttercup: [gargling]

Casey: That was Water Gun!

Buttercup: [growls angrily] Why you lousy fish!

Quagsire: [turns its head away] QUAG!

Babs: It looks kinda cute though! [booping its snout] Boop! Boop!

Kiawe: Um, Babs? I'm not sure you should be doing that!

Turtonator: TURTON!

Babs: Why? He seems harmless!

Quagsire: [Mud Shot move] QUAG...SIRE!

Babs' face got splattered with mud!

Babs: [spits mud out] Blech!

Quagsire: [giggles] QUAGSIRE!

Goh: [tosses PokéBall] Go!

Quagsire: [hit by the PokéBall] QUAG!

Quagsire was then sucked into the PokéBall and with a few shakes and a 'ping'...

Goh's Rotom Phone: Quagsire has been registered to your Pokédex!

Goh: Alright! Two new Pokémon in one day! I'm on a roll!

Cinderace: CINDERACE!

Zee was currently applying her make up and looking into her compact mirror.

Zee: Now, for some lipstick! [applies it by making a kissy face] Perfect! [blows a kiss at her reflection] Mwah!

Zee's Sylveon: [asking Zee if she can powder her face] SYLVEON?

Zee: Sure thing, Sylveon dear!

Zee's Sylveon: SYLVE!

Zee: [powdering Sylveon's face] [humming] And there! Finished!

Zee's Sylveon: VEON!

Zee: [giggles]

Zee then turned to Ash with a flirtatious smile.

Zee: Oh, Ashykins! Come give me some smoochies!

Ash: Hm?

Then, Zee kissed Ash on the lips and started making out with him!

Ash: [moaning into the kiss] Zee Zee!

Zee: [moaning into the kiss] Ashykins!

After they released, the purple haired girl rested her head on Ash's shoulder.

Zee: I love you, Ashykins!

Ash: I love you too, Zee!

Kangaskhan was setting its baby out of its pouch to play with the other Pokémon!

Baby Kangaskhan: [playing] KANGA!

Zee: You be careful now, little guy!

Kangaskhan: KANGASKHAN!

Ash: That little guy sure is cute! Playing with the other Pokémon!

Zee: Indeed, my dear!

That's when Rini noticed a "PokéBall" near a bush.

Rini: Hey! [picks up the "PokéBall"] Look what I found!

Bonnie: What did you find, Rini?

Rini: It looks like a PokéBall! I found it near that bush!

Serena/Usagi: [goes over to her] It looks kinda big to be a PokéBall! You'd better put it back, Rini!

Rini: No way! I found it! Finders keepers!

Serena/Usagi: [takes hold of it] I'm your future mother! Give it here!

Rini: [tries to take it back] NO! IT'S MINE!

Foongus: [annoyed] [red vein] FOONGUS FOONGUS!

Serena/Usagi and Rini: Huh?

Foongus: [Stun Spore move] FOONGUS!

Serena/Usagi and Rini: AAH!

Ash: You two okay?

Pikachu: PIKA?

But the two girls were both paralyzed from the Stun Spore and had swirls in their eyes!

Serena/Usagi and Rini: [groans]

Chloe: [pulls out her Rotom Phone] What kind of Pokémon is that?

Chloe's Rotom Phone: Foongus, the Mushroom Pokémon. A Grass and Poison type. For some reason, this Pokémon resembles a PokéBall. They release poison spores to repel those who try to catch them.

Chloe: Whoa! So that's a Foongus!

Chloe's Eevee: EEVEE VEE!

Goh: And I think they got a whiff of its Stun Spore!

Cinderace: CINDERACE!

Jessica: Don't worry! I got this! [pulls out a container of Cheri Berries] Good thing I managed to grow some of these!

As soon as they ate them, they felt better!

Serena/Usagi and Rini: We're cured!

But then they started bickering!

Rini: That was your fault!

Serena/Usagi: My fault?!

Rini: If you hadn't tried to pry the thing from my hands, we wouldn't have gotten paralyzed!

Serena/Usagi: You shouldn't have grabbed it and refused to let go!

Ash: Come on, you two! That's enough! You two just need to learn to watch what you pick up and what you touch!

Pikachu: [agreeing] PIKA PIKACHU!

Rini: Sorry, Uncle Ash!

Babs: Foongus is such a cutie!

Jessica: Careful, Babs! You don't wanna be paralyzed like they did, do you?

Babs: Relax, Jess! [pats Foongus on the head] It's not gonna hurt me!

Foongus: [Stun Spore move] FOONGUS!

Babs: EEK!

Ash: It happened again!

Pikachu: PIKACHU!

Baby Kangaskhan: [telling Foongus to stop it] KANGA KAN!

Zee: Careful, Baby Kangaskhan!

Foongus: [Frustration move] FOONGUS FOON!

Kangaskhan: [grabbing its baby just in time] KHAN!

Zee: [sighs in relief]

Goh: [tosses PokéBall] PokéBall, go!

Foongus: [hit by the PokéBall] FOONGUS!

Foongus was then sucked into the PokéBall! After shaking a couple of times and letting off a successful 'ping', Foongus was caught!

Goh's Rotom Phone: Foongus has been registered to your Pokédex!

Goh: Alright! Three Pokémon in one day!

Cinderace: [happy] CINDERACE!

Ash: Nice going, Goh!

Pikachu: PIKACHU!

Mallow: [rings a triangle for the lunch call] Come and get it!

Ash: Alright! Lunch time!

Pikachu: PIKACHU!

Soon, everyone sat down to eat!

Karen: I wonder what we're having?

Mallow: Here's your answer! [shows the food] Ta-dah!

Tsareena: TSAREENA!

Mallow: Dig in, everybody!

Kara: [eating] Man, this is good!

Incineroar: [eating] INCINEROAR!

Machoke: [eating] MACHOKE!

Lycanroc (Krypto Jr.): [eating] LYCANROC!

Diana: I agree! Such a fine delicacy!

Ash: [eating] You definitely haven't lost your touch, Mallow!

Pikachu: [eating] [agreeing] PIKA!

Mallow: Thanks, Ash! After all, Tsareena and Goh's Raichu helped find the right berries!

Tsareena: TSAREENA!

Raichu: RAI RAI!

Ritchie: It's delicious!

Pikachu (Sparky): PIKACHU!

Casey: Yeah!

Lucario: [eating] MRAH! MRAH!

Incineroar: [eating] INCINEROAR!

That's when the two Pokémon looked at each other. Then, they started eating their food faster to see who can finish their food first!

Ash: Whoa! Look at them go!

Pikachu: PIKACHU!

Kara: Careful, Incineroar! You don't wanna get a nasty stomach ache, do ya?

Incineroar: [saying it can handle it] INCINEROAR!

Buttercup: Wow! Your Incineroar's got guts!

Treecko: [agreeing] TREECKO!

Kara: Yep! It takes after me!

Goh: Clearly!

Alex: [takes a sip of her drink] [eyes sparkle] Wow! That's good! So sweet and refreshing! What is this kind of drink?

Mallow: That's Pinap Juice!

Alex: Pinap Juice? Oh! I get it! It's a little like Pineapple Juice! But this is way different!

Chespin: [eating] CHESPIN! CHESPIN! [finishes] CHE!

Then, it noticed Pancham was still eating its food and gained a cheeky smile!

Chespin: CHESPIN!

Growlithe: GROWL?

Chespin: [tries to reach] CHES...

Growlithe: [barks] GROWLITHE!

Chespin: [startled] CHES!

Growlithe: GROWLITHE GROWL!

Chespin: [acting innocent] CHESPIN CHES!

Growlithe: [rolls its eyes] GROWLITHE GROWL!

Ash: Man, that was good!

Pikachu: PIKA!

Serena: It sure was, Ashy! But you got a little bit of food on your cheek!

Ash: I do?

Serena: Here! I'll get it! [licks the food off of his cheek]

Ash: [chuckles] Serena!

Serena: [giggles]

Blossom: He's not wrong! It was really good!

Chimchar: CHIMCHAR!

Babs: I'll say! You've got a gift, Mallow!

Mallow: Aww, thank you, Babs!

Serena: [as she pulls out a box] I hope everyone's saved room for dessert! [opens it] Ta-dah! I made Poké Puffs!

Kara: Poké Puffs? What are they?

Clemont: They're a dessert both people and Pokémon enjoy!

Blossom: Ooh! They look so yummy!

Zee: I'll say! They look divine!

Chespin: [drooling] CHESPIN!

Bonnie: Chespin happens to really like them!

Dedenne: DENNE!

Chespin: [lunges for them] CHESPIN!

Ponyta (Galarian): [Psychic move] [neighs]

Babs' Rotom Phone: Sobble, the Water Lizard Pokémon. A Water type. When Sobble touches watery substances, its body takes on the color of its surroundings. Because it's timid, it produces large amounts of sweat and tears that cause it to become invisible.

Babs: That's kinda cool!

Lillie: This Pokémon must've been the one snatching the Poké Puffs!

Kara: [intimidatingly] Yeah!

And Dragonite did just that as it gave it hug! Sobble started to calm down and it stopped crying!

That made everyone else stop crying too!

Zee: [looks into her compact mirror] Ugh! But I now have to fix my mascara!

But it was too late! The Impidimp were already gone!

Goh: [whines disappointed]

Kiawe: And Zee got to use a Z-Move for the first time! I'm actually kinda impressed!

The magic girl then took the little Water Lizard Pokémon into her arms.

As Sobble was sucked into the PokéBall, it shook a couple of times, then letting off a successful 'ping', meaning it had been caught!

Zee's Rotom Phone: Sobble has been registered to your Pokédex!

Zee: Welcome to the team, Sobble!

Zee's Sylveon: [happy] SYLVEON!

Ash: Way to go, Zee!

Pikachu: [happy] PI PIKACHU!

Zee: Thanks, Ashykins! [opens PokéBall]

After our heroes dispersed, Singe was in another area of the woods and had gathered the remains of Queen Beryl's staff!

Singe: Lord Arcanon is sure to be pleased with this little treasure!

Meanwhile...

Lord Arcanon: Doomwing! Have you found Boomtower yet?!

Doomwing: Not yet, my lord! But I will find him soon!

Singe: [enters] I have returned, my lord!

Lord Arcanon: Ah, Singe! What has your little scavenger hunt brought me this time?

Singe: [shows him the staff] Behold!

Lord Arcanon: And what is that supposed to be?

Singe: This staff belonged to the ruler of the Negaverse, Queen Beryl!

Lord Arcanon: [gasps] Queen Beryl?!

Singe: It's true!

Lord Arcanon: [growls] Dispose of it! I have no intention of anything involving Beryl!

Doomwing: But why, master? She may be useful in destroying those heroes!

Lord Arcanon: DISPOSE OF IT OR I'LL MAKE YOU MY NEXT SCENTED CANDLE!

Singe: Right away, boss! [crushes the staff] If Beryl serves as an obstacle in our plans, then I have no intention of her returning, whatsoever!

Lord Arcanon: Good! Where is Scrozzle?! He should be back by now!

Scrozzle: [enters] I'm back, master!

Lord Arcanon: What kept you?! And have you began the preparations for the "Ashley"?

Scrozzle: Forgive me, boss! But it's still a work in progress! But I do have a solution for that dragon girl you've been talking about!

Lord Arcanon: How so?

Scrozzle: [pulls out a strange ray gun] I was able to break into Grid Battleforce and steal Ryjack's Reanimizer from their vault! It's capable of bringing anyone back if they've been destroyed!

Lord Arcanon: I see! Singe! Bring that vase of ashes over!

Singe: Yes, sir!

And he did just that!

Scrozzle: Get ready to meet Ember! [fires the Reanimizer]

The Reanimizer's beam hit the vase, and in a sudden flash of light, EMBER WAS BACK!

Ember: [groans] What happened?

Singe: What happened was you were destroyed by those heroes!

Ember: I remember, but how am I alive? And who are you?

Lord Arcanon: My name is Lord Arcanon, and I am your new master!

Ember: New master? [scoffs] Sorry, but this dragoness doesn't take orders!

Doomwing: [draws out his sword] Show some respect! Lord Arcanon is the most feared warlord in the entire known multiverse!

Ember: Feared? Please. People have feared me! You be lucky I don't roast you alive for drawing your sword at me!

Lord Arcanon: ENOUGH! [to Ember] What if I were to get you a princess to devour?

That got her attention!

Ember: Go on.

Lord Arcanon: I can get you multiple princesses to devour! Now tell me, do you despise that golden hero, Aura Guardian?

Ember: [furious] [breathes fire] DON'T SAY THAT NAME!

Scrozzle: Hey! Watch it!

Lord Arcanon: I can help you get revenge on those heroes who destroyed you the first time! What do you say?

Ember: Mr. Armored Guy! You got yourself a deal!

Lord Arcanon: Excellent! EXCELLENT! [laughs maniacally]

Ash: Sobble is a Water type Pokémon native to the Galar Region!

Pikachu: PIKA PI!

Goh: And it's tears have the same components as chopping one hundred onions!

Kara: And to think that little squirt can pack quite a punch with its tears!

Zee: But it's so cute!

Sobble: SOBBLE!

Babs: I know! [makes a scary face at Sobble] OOGA BOOGA BOOGA!

Sobble: [scared] SOBBLE! [crying] SOBBLE!

Ash: Oh no!

Kara: [crying] Babs, look what you did!

Babs: [crying] Bad idea!

Goh: [crying] No kidding!

Ash: [crying] Make it stop!

Pikachu: [crying] PIKA PI!

Zee: [picks up Sobble and cuddles it while holding back her tears] There there, Sobble! Don't cry. Mama's got you! [kisses its forehead] Mwah.

Sobble: [stops crying] SOB? [calm] SOBBLE!

Ash: [sighs in relief] Nice going, Zee!

Pikachu: [relieved] PIKACHU.

Zee: [looks into her compact mirror and fixes her makeup] Thanks, honey bunny!

Ash: [smiles] And you're beautiful as always!

Zee: Oh, Ashykins!

She then kisses his cheek and left a lipstick mark.

Zee: [hugs him and nuzzles cheeks with him] You're the best boyfriend ever!

Ash: [blushes] [giggles]

Pikachu: PIKACHU!
