The following day, Brittany is saying her farewells to Paulette. Her car is packed with all her belongings that she spent hours packing up all night. The rest, the moving company, is going to deliver to her house.

"What's the point of staying, Paulette?" Brittany asks as she hugs her friend. "I mean, all people see when they look at me is blond hair and big boobs. No one's ever going to take me seriously. The people at law school don't, and Sam doesn't. I don't even think my own parents take me seriously. I just felt, like, for the first time, that Someone expected me to do something more with my life than just become a Victoria's Secret Model. But I was just kidding myself. Schue never saw me as a lawyer; he just saw me like a piece of ass, just like everybody else. It turns out I am a joke."

Paulette pulls away, shaking her head, "That's not true. Santana and I don't think you're a joke."

They hug one last time again before separating.

"To hell with law school. I just wanted to say goodbye."

"If you're going to let one stupid pig ruin your life," Brittany hears a voice say.

She turns to the source only to see Sue Sylvester being spun around in the chair. She'd just gotten her hair done. Sylvester walks up to her,

"You're not the girl I thought you were."

Brittany and Sylvester share a look of respect and understanding. Sylvester is challenging her to stay that much she knew.

Brittany squints her eyes as she reconsiders her options.

Across town at the country jail, Santana and Quinn visit Sugar. Santana already misses Brittany. She and Brittany were the two that worked with Sugar together. Quinn was a nice person, but she was no Brittany.

The television is on, and Santana can hear it in the background. She got up and walked to the tv only to see Mr. Schue on the screen being interviewed by reports.

"Did you go in there how you were going to discredit Mr. Anderson?"

"Oh, absolutely, it's a little thing I like to call strategy. You know I had a feeling about Mr. Anderson-" he responded.

Santana turned it off in annoyance, recalling that day. If it hadn't been for Brittany's intuition and her choice to believe Brittany, Mr. Anderson would still be a roadblock in the case.

"Is he always such an ass?" Sugar questioned as Santana sat in front of her anew.

"He's the top defense attorney in the state. Of course, he's an ass," Santana reminds her.

"Fine. But is he an ass that's going to win my case?"

"Well, he's an ass that's gonna try."

"He thinks I'm guilty, doesn't he?"

"That's not what's important," Santana tries.

"If he doesn't trust me, why should I trust him?"

"Ask Brittany. She looked pretty close with him last night," Quinn says with a sleepy smirk.

Santana looks at Quinn and doesn't hold her disdain back, "You don't even know what the hell you're talking about."

Quinn's smirk disappears.

"What's going on here, S. Lo?" Sugar asks.

"Brittany quit," Santana informs her,

"What?" Sugar says with a sock. Brittany was the only one that believed her.

"Yeah. Schue hit on her, so she quit."

Regret fills Quinn for what she said and how she acted towards Brittany.

"Oh, my god," Sugar says.

"Oh, god," Quinn says, realizing just how fucked up her behavior and comments were.

"What?" Sugar asks.

"I feel terrible. I made a huge mistake."

Santana looks at her. She put two and two together. If she could get Quinn to apologize, and if she tried again, maybe there was a way to convince Brittany to stay.

"Well, maybe there's something we can do can do about it."

Santana takes a moment to think.

"Quinn, do you have Brittany's number?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Text her to meet you at the campus library. Send a text to Sam, Dani, and Rory, too."

Quinn nods but then stops when Santana prompts her to.

"On second thought, don't send a text to Sam. I would prefer it if he did not come understood?"

Quinn nods and sends the text to the corresponding people.

"What are you scheming?"

"You don't trust Schuster, and you're right. But, you shouldn't have to trust him if he doesn't believe you. Brittany does, and she's done more for this case than he has. If it weren't for her, we'd be in terrible shape. I've got to research some things, but with her help, I think we can win this case."

"S. Lo, you're one smart chick, but you can explain it to me like I'm 5?"

"We're going to try to get Brittany back. If she does, you can fire Mr. Schue if you want to," Santana says.

"Oh, I want to," Santana says with a smile.

"She's a genius. If we can convince her to stay, I will let you know before the trial proceeds. That way, you can fire him,"

"Are you sure this is the right thing to do?"

Santana smiles, "Someone once told me to have a little more faith in people and that I would be surprised. I have a lot of faith in her. I've never been more sure about anything in my life. Brittany is already one hell of a lawyer. I am willing to put my career on the line."

"Go get my lawyer, S. Lo," Sugar says with a smile.

"Thank you all for showing up at the drop of a hat," Santana starts as she looks at the faces in the library, " I need-Brittany needs our help. I called in a favor from a friend April to hold onto Brittany's letter to the dean saying she's dropping out for a day. I need your help to find a way to make her see that she is meant to be a lawyer."

"We spoke with Sugar, and she is willing to go along with the idea. Tomorrow, she is going to fire Mr. Schue," Quinn adds.

"This is where we need your help. We need all of us to research every possible law in the state of Massachusetts that can help Brittany represent Sugar. I know there is one, but I can't recall which one it is," Santana says.

"While you all do that, I am going to go find her and apologize. I am going to try my best to get her to come back."

Santana and Schue sit in the defense section as they wait for the court to proceed. Sugar comes out of the back room with a smile on her face.

"What are you so happy about? You're on trial for murder," Mr. Schue asks.

Santana looks at her with a smile.

"Get up," Sugar says.

"What?"

"You're fired. I've got her representation."

"Who?" Mr. Schue asked with displeasure.

Sugar looks to the door, which opens. Mr. Schue and everyone in the courtroom turns to see who it is. Brittany dressed in a tasteful yellow suit and white dress shirt.

Santana still can't get over how they convinced Brittany to come back. She also can't get over how good she looks in a yellow suit and white dress shirt. Yellow is Brittany's color.

Rory walks behind her with a thick book that has a few markers.

"Excuse me, you're in my way," Brittany says as she stands before Mr. Schue.

"She's a law student. She can't defend you."

Brittany looks to Rory, who opens his book. He shows Mr. Schue the marker as he reads it, "Massachusetts supreme judicial court ruling 3.03."

"See?" Brittany says.

Judge Mercedes, who has been watching the commotion, decides to put a stop to the distraction in her courtroom, "Counselors, approach the bench."

"You're not going up there," Mr. Schue tells Brittany, who was going to the bench with the book Rory bought for reference.

"Oh, yes, I am."

"I'm sorry. Maybe you didn't hear me. You're fired."

"Counselors, now, all of you,"

All the counselors and Brittany approach the bench.

"Brittany Pierce, your honor," she says as she presents herself to the judge, "Rule 3.03 of the supreme judicial court states that a law student may appear on behalf of a defendant in criminal proceedings."

"Your honor, I have no problem with this," the prosecutor states.

"I do. I'm not allowing it," Mr. Shue states.

"But you agreed last night. In your office when we were discussing my career," Brittany says as she looks at him.

The prosecutor looks between them, picking up on the hint Brittany was dropping.

"The ruling also states that you need a licensed attorney to supervise you," Judge Jones clarifies, "Mr. Schue?"

"That I won't agree to."

"I'll supervise, your honor," Santana states.

"Well then, Ms. Pierce, proceed,"

This turn of events stumps Mr. Schue, but the prosecutor is delighted.

As she turns to sit in her new assignment, Brittany spots Paulette entering with her new boyfriend, who has a bandaged nose.

"Enjoy prison," Mr. Schue says, full of spite.

"Mrs. Motta, you do realize what you are doing?" Judge Jones asks.

"Absolutely," Sugar says with a confident smile.

Seconds later, Tina and Kurt enter the courtroom.

"Oh, my God!" Kurt says

"There she is! Brittany!" Tina calls out

"Elle, we came to see your trial!" Kurt announces happily.

"Oh, look how cute. There's like, a judge and everything," Tina says enthusiastically, "and jury people."

"Vote for Brittany!" Kurt says.

"Take a seat," Judge Jones demands.

"Go, girl," Kurt says before he and Tina sit down.

"Swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth, so help you, God?"

"I do," Carl's daughter responds as she takes the stand.

"Be seated."
