Juvia gritted her teeth, glaring at the screen. It had been four hours since she started farming the Orc King. From her three days of experience, she found out that the Orc King's weakness was the back of his head. She would only attack at that same spot and although she struggled because she had to time her jump to avoid being punched, it proved to be quite a success.
It only took her four hours to lower his health to critical, a big improvement from the nine hours she spent everyday for the past three days.
The problem was, The Orc King was now on berserk mode. Juvia only have three more health potions and it could still last an hour, but her mana was almost drained. She couldn't be hit as well because it'd be an instant death. Berserk doubles the stength of the monster when activated and her little level of 12 couldn't take it.
Does she really have to come again tomorrow and think of a plan? Damn it. She was on live, although losing wouldn't exactly affect her fame in the game industry since she have proven herself lots of time already, she couldn't just let her fans waste their time by watching her for hours only for her to lose in the end. Thousands were already watching and some of them were her sponsors.
It might've been a bad idea to do the livestream before securing a high success rate in killing this mob. But then, the risk also had its perks. If she was victorious, she'd be the very first player to solo this damn boss.
Juvia bought some time for herself as she evaded the Orc King's attacks. She summoned her water daggers and waved for them to penetrate the Orc King but it has no effect. The defense were doubled as well, damn it.
She couldn't get close behind it and it was purposely leading her anywhere from that. This monster knew his own weakness, huh.
Juvia stopped tapping and stretched her fingers while her avatar stood on the spot. She saw some fans chatting worriedly asking why she stopped. She didn't reply and watched as the Orc King threw a punch at her.
Juvia's eyes turned to slits. Now!
Her fingers moved fast, faster than before, her eyes glaring at the screen.
Her avatar ducked to avoid a right hook punch before jumping on the tree on her left. She jumped one more time and landed on the tree behind the Orc King. But it was fast to turn to her and raised its hand to pummel her. She smirked and waited for its hand to land on her but it paused.
Her water daggers that she summoned at the same time that she avoided his hook earlier penetrated the back of his head in succession. The monster thought there was another attacker behind it so it look at the direction where the daggers came from only for its back to be exposed to her.
Juvia took that chance to summon her water harpoon. She was barely able to do so because her mana was almost at its limit and mana potions doesn't exist in that game. Annoying, right, yes.
She threw the harpoon that contained the last bit remaining of her mana to its weakness. When the harpoon pierced the Orc King's neck, a ciritical hit notification appeared, and the mob stopped moving.
Juvia thought she fucked up because it hadn't died. She had no mana left to attack or escape the woods. But before despair overwhelmed her, the Orc King's body flashed and crashed like bricks. Loots appeared in front of her and her injuries healed instantly.
It might've looked like it took a long time but the whole ordeal only lasted for a minute.
Juvia excitedly looked at her status window. Her level was now 17, sweet! Before she took her time collecting the loots, she thanked her fans for watching before turning the livestream off.
She then proceeded to pick up the items and inspected them. She thought she would've to kill the Orc King again but she saw the dragon's tear and she sighed in relief. It also dropped a golden anklet and skill book for Celestials which was no use to her so she'd just sell them. There were also different kinds of high grade magic ores which she decided to just store in her inventory. She might need them later. Or Gajeel.
Juvia was satisfied with the farming. Not only was she able to get the ore that she needed, the reward for killing the Orc King solo was also plenty. All the jewels she spent on buying potions and buff scrolls were returned and doubled. She could buy herself an elementalist outfit with good critical hit, since that was the one she needed the most as a thief, and she still had some spare to buy Gajeel one as well.
Juvia stretched her arms and logged out of the game. That was fun. She decided to text Gajeel before sleeping but he beat her to it. He said "Congratulations. Now sleep."
She laughed and replied, "Thank you doing it now."
