Chapter 52: Lilith's Decision.

Demon Realm of Lescatie.

...

Francisca stared at the windows of the royal castle, casting a depressing look into her eyes as she oversaw the city, the main capital of Lescatie. It's been quiet for the past weeks since the uprising of Wilmarina. Many important buildings which were raised by the radical faction now lay in rubble, while they spared some and renovated back to their original appearance in its Pre-Demon Realm period.

The puppet Queen of Lescatie was helpless as she couldn't do anything to prevent the tragedy as her wrists were locked by a pair of Titanite Bracelets that sealed her powers and is currently on house arrest with the remains of the Seven Princesses, except Koyoi and Merse. Even the Demon Lord of the Royal Makai was unresponsive to this current problem they have.

'Where is the Demon Lord and her Lilims?' Francisca tapped her fingers anxiously. 'It's been weeks and there's no way that she could leave us like this!'

"AARRGH! I swear when I see Koyoi again, I'll punch her! I swear!" The Roper Queen then turns to Primera. The Werewolf Elf slammed her fists on the table, producing cracks. "I will never forgive her for joining Wilmarina and I had enough of seeing deaths! Many people died because of her!"

"P-Primera! Please, calm down!" The Witch Mimil stuttered as she lowered her hands to calm down the enraged werewolf. "If the guards could hear us, they'll list us up for execution-"

"Like if I care! I am tired of being culled down like this!" Primera shrieked out, interrupting Mimil. "We'll give those two a good 'ol beating once we got out of this prison!"

"A-And what about Merse?" Mimil spoke up meekly. "She's still out there and possibly finding help!"

"Merse joined Wilmarina... Sorry that I haven't told you." Francisca replied, causing the two to freeze in disbelief. "I know this is a shock, but she's doing this to save her child and she's looking after us to ensure that we're alright."

"Hmph! I can't believe it. I'm not sure if she's true to her words!" Primera scoffed in anger while crossing her arms. "Where is the Demon Lord? She should be here to save us and teach that tyrant we called a "hero" a lesson!"

"I'm afraid that won't work."

Francisca, Mimil and Primera jumped up in surprise when they heard an unfamiliar voice and turned their attention toward the nearest closet. It opened itself and revealed a pair of Baphomets peeking out over their heads. One is with pale hair and white fur, while the other is with black fur and she's almost barely naked.

"Quick, come with us before the guards will notice any signs of our magic signal." The White Baphomet waved her hand to the Princesses to come over. "I'll explain the details later once we get to a safer place."

"Wait, you're Runya-Runya of the Sleepy Archives!" Mimil pointed out in shock. "And the Black Goat Kuroferuru!"

"Hey! I sensed signs of mana activity in this room! Go check it!"

"Crap! They have compromised our location!" Runya then turns to Kuroferuru. "Quick, block the door!"

Kuroferuru then smiled mischievously. "You gotcha! Seal Wall!"

The Black Goat raised her paw, and sludges of concentrated mana emerged from nothing. Thus, it sealed the door tight as the Dark Knights on the other side try to barge in and then slam the entrance after an unsuccessful attempt to open the doorknob.

"What's the meaning of this!? Open up!"

The Dark Knights tried to slam the doors multiple times and Runya-Runya turned to the imprisoned Princesses with a serious look in her eyes.

"Don't just stand there like dazed idiots! There will be a great danger upon us!" The White Baphomet speaks up. "And we will tell everything about why the Demon Lord isn't here to help."

Francisca, Mimil and Primera felt sweat running down their faces. Hearing those words alone could mean troubling news. The three nodded as they heed her words and followed the White Baphomet. When they went through the black portal, Kuroferuru closes it before the Seal Wall stopped and crumbled until the Dark Knight finally rammed in. Once they got inside, it shocked the guards to see all three important prisoners were gone.

"Wh-Where are they!?"

"Somebody let them escape! Search the entire area!"

The Dark Knights scattered around the royal palace while their superior officers couldn't help but dread that their enemy escaped by someone else and that fear alone can only mean one thing: When Wilmarina returns from her trip to Court Alf, they will be listed for their execution.

"Shit... we are so dead."

...

Unknown Area.

...

"What is this place?" Primera looked around in wonder to see a small hut in the midst of a field filled with flowers under the clear blue skies. "Some sort of pocket dimension?"

"I and the surviving members of the Black Goat made this hiding place since Wilmarina had gone cray-cray," Kuroferuru explained with a cheeky smile while waving a finger. "And... uh, this is how many of us are left alive."

Runya-Runya opens the door and entered the living room, along with the Princesses of Lescatie. They were met by a group of four witches and three baphomets who were doing their chores around the house until one noticed their return.

"Look! Kuro-chan is back~!"

The witches and baphomets were overjoyed to meet with Runya-Runya and Kuroferuru on their return with the success of saving the three imprisoned princesses. Some were relieved to see Mimil as well.

"Mimil~! You're alive!" One witch embraced Mimil in tears. "I thought they captured you and cut off your head!"

"Evia~! You're alive as well~!" Mimil sobbed as she hugged back. "I'm so glad~! I was so worried!"

"Not everyone made it out alive," Kuroferuru said with a sad sigh. "We baphomets of Sabbath are strong... but the killing intent of the Knights of the Dark Ice Flower is too strong for us, and we barely pushed them back. I cursed our beliefs that we could barely kill anyone."

"Is it because of their new Titanite weapons?" Primera guessed and Kuroferuru nodded. "Huh, no kidding."

"Not only just that. They used weapons infused with unknown magic that make them deadlier." Kuroferuru stated as her head hung low, expressing dread. "Combined those with their strength in numbers, and their Dark Strategists and Heroes... we were no match. Their combined magic force overwhelmed us and tracked us down using our traces of mana after we fled to other pocket dimensions that we created."

"Kuroferuru and the Witches of the Black found out how to cover their scent while creating this pocket dimension," Runya-Runya said with a yawn. "At least, this is the only safest place to stay from the Lescatians and the Demon Lord."

"Wait, the Demon Lord?" Francisca asked curiously. "Did something happen?"

"Ah... w-well... to tell the truth." Runya-Runya then scratches the back of her head nervously while trying to look away. "The... The Demon Lord... is seeking an alliance with Wilmarina."

...

"WHAT!?"

"I know, right? But pardon my words here... Um... ahem." Runya-Runya then clears her throat before speaking out. "The current situation we have now... is fucked. Completely and absolutely fucked."

Mimil then raised her brow in fear. "Uh... how fucked are we?"

"Worse than your witnesses on other people's execution under the Dark Ice Flower." Kuroferuru clarified. "Our sleepy head here isn't kidding in her words when she told the news about the Demon Lord declaring all monsters should kill... under any means, even towards rebelling monsters."

The three princesses gasped. Francisca didn't think to imagine that the lord of monsters would consider enforcing such a policy on the entire society of monsters since her ascension to the throne after one thousand years.

"Wh-Why would the Demon Lord do that!?"

"Are you kidding me!?

"No way! Is she for real!?"

"Yeah... It's true. Lilith declared it when the entire Conference Hall tries to come up with a solution to the issue regarding the problems in Lescatie." Runya-Runya then stared down with eyes filled with regret. "I heard the Demon Lord say these words during our meeting..."

...

Royal Makai. Demon Realm Conference Hall.

... Five days earlier...

...

"Your Highness! Are we certain that we should go down the path of violence to cull this problem!?"

"Lilith, I object to these plans for solving the issues in Lescatie!"

"Dragonia isn't responding to the renewal of our peace treaty! What else should we do with these rebels!?"

Across the conference hall, the representatives of all existing demon realms roused in a bickering outcry. The Demon Lord was silent as she glared over at the local monster lords and the nobility themselves began accusing one another. The succubus race of the Royal Makai and their supporting members were engaging intensely in their talks with other monster species and told them the words of the Demon Lord stood absolute. However, sixty percent of the hall members rejected the plan of the Demon Lord.

"Are you mad!? We shouldn't let them drown in their own blood! We don't want them to suffer in pain! Are you not letting them experience the love for all humanity?!"

"The people of Lescatie have been driven to insanity! The Dark Hero Wilmarina should be imprisoned for good!"

"Out of all people! Make a new plan!"

"Order! There should be an order in this hall! Cease these foolish talks at once!"

"Just what the hell is going on right now!? Why is the Demon Lord declaring violence!?"

"EENNOOOUGH!"

Within an instant, the monsters in the conference hall stood at a halt as they paid their heed to the Demon Lord, who sat in the top row of the delegation seat. The monsters trembled at the sight of Lilith, who cast down her fearsome crimson eyes, causing them to stand down. Lilith sighed as she stood up from her seat.

"Everyone... I know how you feel when I declare that violence shall be taken action." Lilith declared in a cold voice. "I know this plan goes against my own beliefs... However... the strings of fates are no longer in our favour."

"Our enemy is not the Order of the Chief God," Lilith explained further. "Our real enemy... is the Federation itself."

"The Federation?"

"As I recall, they're hardly a threat."

"How can a young superpower could pose a danger to us?"

"The Federation might be young... but it has the potential to destroy us all." The mamono were appalled by her words. "One of the federation's most valuable assets, The Kingdom of Gaul, housed the most dangerous enemy that we, the monsters, will face... was none other than the Silver-Blue Knight himself!"

The mamono around the conference hall murmured as they shared confusing looks and questions. "That man will be the last nail for our destruction! The reason Dragonia has left us and Lescatie fell into a state of despair... was his works to inflict pain on others."

"Therefore... the plan is not only we should cull Lescatie. We shall subjugate and pacify it into our hands." Lilith raised her hands and clenched a fist into the air. "... And propose an alliance with their new leader to end the tragedy once and for all."

The monsters across the hall were shocked, hearing that this plan was beyond insane until one vampire noble raised her hand in concern.

"A question, Demon Lord Lilith..." Lilith turned her gaze to the mamono, who stood up from her seat. "Who is this Silver-Blue Knight? I've heard such rumours from my daughter, but was there any significance about this... human?"

"The Silver-Blue Knight... he was rumoured as the only sole human who could slay even the strongest monsters on his own," Lilith explained while casting a serious look. "At first, I didn't believe that he could cut the strings of fate... until I came to realise that he is more than an average hero..."

"That human... killed the Fallen God."

The vampire and the demon lord turn their attention to the left corner of the conference room. A certain succubus raised her hand, a Dark Priest expressing her profound grief and sadness.

"Ash Cyrus is his name..." The Dark Priestess stuttered fearfully as she muttered out his name. A name that shall not be heard, and it was forbidden to speak out within her fallen cult. "He killed our goddess ... and destroyed our paradise. Pandemonium... has fallen to ruins..."

"... That man shouldn't live... he shouldn't be born!" The Dark Priest then stood up from her seat. Her eyes broke into tears and her voice shrieked towards the vampire noble. "My brethren and my dear sisters were dying after the fall!... As long as he walks this earth, there will be no salvation for us!"

"... That was the real reason we have a meeting here," Lilith said with a heavy sigh as her head hang low. "The greatest assets of the Demon Realm lost one of its most important allies... With the Fallen God lies dead, this can mean a serious problem."

The monsters tensed as the emotions of her voice remained true to her words. "Our Paradise... will be endangered."

"Th-Then we should muster our forces and punish him!" The Vampire Noble expresses her idea. "Then he will be no longer a threat to us."

"... Did you listen to my words?" Lilith then narrowed her gaze. "He killed a God, no less... and no human has ever achieved a feat like that for a thousand years since the rise of my reign. There's no need to imprison him... no. In my decision, we shall kill him."

"I-... I may see that as a reason." The Vampire felt her shoulders slumped. Lilith then soon recognise that this monster firmly stood for her old non-violent beliefs. "But there's a way to convince him, and the Fallen Order can continue to thrive once we accomplish it!"

"... What is your name, vampire?" The mamono then felt every inch of her body freeze. The Demon Lord was staring at her with a disdainful look. "I am intrigued about your idea of imprisoning that man in our interest... not his demise."

"... D-Dalia... Dalia von Andrei. Your Highness." The Vampire Noble, now named Dalia, introduced her identity to the Overlord. "The Matriarch of the Andrei Estate. "

"Von Andrei... hmm... Dalia, I have one question. Since when was the last time you heard about your daughter's wellbeing?" Dalia raised her brow in question to hear the mention of her daughter. "When was it... a week? A month?"

"It's over a month, your highness. I... never heard a single word from her." Dalia answered honestly. "Is there something you're concerned about my daughter?"

"... Yes... and that is... your daughter is proof of actual concern for us. Other than my thirteenth daughter." The Demon Lord then summons a magic mirror that is raised up from the floor through a makeshift portal. "Since my vision no longer sees what she's doing... I send one of my spies to look after her when she's on a mission to search for the man of interest, which Druella has been seeking for..."

Thus, the magic mirror played the vision of her daughter's actions. The visions played and reveal to the audience the incident that had occurred in one town in the rural regions of Gaul was invaded by the undead, under the command of a Wight to a vision where the Queen of Dragons interacted with the Silver-Blue Knight. The delegation went pale and Dalia was shocked to see her daughter fighting side-by-side with one of the Silver-Blue Knight's companions. Fighting against the mamono of the Demon Realm and even hurting them with bloody bruises.

"Our spy took several weeks to record these events..." Lilith explained. "I apologise for not telling you about this."

"Daniella...? Your Highness, what is the meaning of this?" Dalia staggered back. "Why is my daughter hurting anyone, even monsters?"

"She changed sides... and to think about it... I should've sworn her strings of fate are something off..." Lilith then closes her eyes in deep thought. "Turns out my hunch was correct, that you gave birth to a traitor."

"That can't be... your highness. With all due respect, I will never betray you!" In fear, Dalia pleaded to the Monster Overlord until two succubus knights came to her flanks. "I will do my duty and punish my daughter's insubordination. I will not fail!"

"No... that's no longer necessary. Your daughter has proven the change of her loyalty... despite how you raised her in the Demon Realms." Lilith spoke coldly. Dalia was speechless when a pair of succubus guards suspended her arms together, and Dalia's wrists were wrapped with magic bracelets to seal off her powers. "A mamono who gave birth to a traitor... is no longer a trustworthy person I knew. Then again, I regret my decision that this happens to you because I know how much you loved your daughter, and you can't go against her wishes... It's unfortunate that you and your daughter will become an enemy to our paradise."

"No... this can't be happening... Your Highness, don't do this to me! Give me a chance to re-educate my little Daniella!" Dalia yelled out in desperation as she was pulled away through the hall entrance by the guards. "Let me go! No! Don't hurt my daughter! Please! She is my only child!"

The monster's girls, of all other species, locked their eyes in fear, seeing the vampire dragged away by the guards from the conference hall until the doors fell shut, leaving a loud bang echoing through the chambers. Their faces were covered in sweat due to the intense fear they have felt as they slowly turned their gaze to the Demon Lord.

Lilith takes a deep breath as she leans over the rostrum.

"Learning the truth behind the curtains of the Federation... I realise one thing... I do not want to know how many of our kin have turned their backs on us." The Demon Lord hissed. Her malevolent aura seeps through the air and her mana made the entire hall quake in a violent sensation due to her sheer anger billowing from her feet. "For centuries until now... I was certain that we can build a paradise for this world and bring peace to everyone to end the cycle of war, as my vision intended... until these outsiders came! Our desired goals becoming bleak and they seek to destroy our future! The Demon Realm shall return to its old ways and our only goal... is to bring the Federation and the Silver-Blue Knight to their knees!"

The succubi delegation seats of the Royal Makai cheered as they applaud the Demon Lord. But the other members of the assembly hall sat in complete silence, expressing their anxieties. Knowing that violence was making its comeback to their daily lives, fearing that bloodshed will happen to the rest of their kind.

"We strongly object! The rest of this hall is not in the favour of violence!" The Demon Lord then turned her gaze to the right and saw an Echidna raising her hand in defiance. "Your Highness, with all due respect. Think about the lives of our children! Allowing this violence will ruin our reputation of the monster society!"

The Demon Lord narrowed her eyes in spite. "... Oh? How can you tell?"

"Your Highness... please, listen. We taught our children to understand love, and we had been doing that for generations." The Echidna Representative stated in grief and sorrow. "Allowing them to hurt others... there will be no future for them! There needs to be another way to prevent another bloodshed from the past."

"I see. If that was your case... then you are wasting yourself."

Without warning, the Demon Lord raised her hand and glowed bright red until she clenched it. The Echidna felt someone grab her neck and choked the life out of her windbag. The surrounding mamono representatives reeled back in shock to see her falling down to the floor, gasping for air as her tail flailed wildly, smashing nearby tables.

"It is our only way to ensure the peace of our future... and you truly forget to whom you are speaking... I am the Demon Lord here," Lilith growled, seething toward the echidna as she continuously choked her using telekinesis. Slowly pressing the echidna's neck as her dear life was dragged near death's door. "Your idea will waste our lives for nothing and know your place, you insignificant cur. I will not tolerate this insubordination."

Lilith then released her, causing the Echidna to collapse unconsciously. The Succubus Overlord scanned her gaze at the other representatives. The foreign mamono delegations across the conference hall were shaking in trepidation, knowing the Demon Lord was about to unleash her wrath upon them if they did not cooperate with her. Meanwhile, on the left side of the main rostrum, Runya-Runya was shaken after witnessing the entire event as the members of the conference hall forcefully bowed their heads to the demon lord, leaving no disagreements.

In other words, the Demon Lord has gone mad.

"Um... your highness, what about your concerns with Druella and the rest of your daughters?" The White Baphomet asked. "I am sure that they wouldn't like the sound of this decision."

"I've already decided... Druella is already a failure." Runya-Runya felt her breathing stop as the Demon Lord turn her gaze in her direction. "Despite she was one of the favourite children which my husband was fond of... I can't believe that day she has fallen to the same spot as my other daughter, Ilassa."

"Your highness...?"

"I sensed Druella has taken down the same path as her... Ilassa and her little Federation need to be dismantled. Their actions alone are enough to stir my ire and I had enough... to stay like this and do nothing to prevent it." The Sleepy Baphomet sulked down when she saw the anger within the eyes of the Demon Lord. "The future shall be restored in our favour and we shall never let them have it. Not even to the rest of my daughters..."

Lilith then uttered her words in silence. "I will make sure... they shall never usurp me until I'm finished to bring the world to their knees."

That answer gave the Baphomet a slight peek into a vision. Not just did she see the world change, but a landscape filled with corpses and blood surrounding the demon lord. That feeling ached her heart, which made her nauseous. She almost puked at it, and Lilith didn't mind what she saw in her morbid vision. The Demon Lord knew this plan will lead to war.

Runya-Runya knew that the Cycle of War had broken, thanks to the effort of the Demon Lord and her Hero husband... or so she had been taught in her entire life. The Demon Lord is going to wage a new war which emerged from the horizon, an unexpected event that shouldn't happen in this current age. The Sleepy Baphomet wished that this was a joke, a nightmare. But it is a nightmare where she cannot wake up. It is a horrible reality that she regrets living as a monster.

She taught herself that she'll spend her entire life reading stuff and sleeping as if it were a paradise for her. Nothing of hard work and solving problems with other people to ease their suffering from the consequences of life. But she was not prepared for the upcoming crisis that will surely end the world as she knows it and she thought that should be the problem of humans, not monsters.

The Sleepy Baphomet can see that way of her own thinking was actually wrong.

Lilith, on the other hand, cursed her mind and to her own self, knowing that the current Chief God wasn't involved in their matters this time and she cursed additionally how lucky that wounded goddess in the Heavens wasn't responsible for this new conflict.

"The Chief God is watching me doing this and I can hear her laughing at me," Lilith seethed while clenching her fists in regret. "Once this is over. I will teach that bitch in the heavens a lesson for jeering at me."

The Sleepy Baphomet gulped, knowing how serious the situation is growing in their hands.

'Lilith... this plan... will be our end.'

...

Hidden Pocket Dimension, Present Day.

...

"I can't believe it." Mimil felt her knees collapsing on the floor. "The Demon Lord advocates for violence to restore the order she planned for? Has she gone that mad!?"

"Hah~! I wished that were a joke." Kuroferuru sighed in regret while crossing her arms as she leaned her back against the wall. "Those matters are serious right now and... I wished I was never been born."

"Oh, quit whining. Be thankful that you're still alive in this place." Runya-Runya gave Kuroferuru a light slap against her left shoulder, causing the black Baphomet to yelp. "At least we're no longer at Lilith's side. The Demon Lord will kill our asses when she heard we agreed her plan sucks!"

"Well, it's your fault for bringing up the bad news!" Kuroferuru talked back with a grunt while poking her fingers at Runya's chest. "Lilith won't be killing my ass if I never heard the news of her declaration from your last meeting in the first place!"

"So... what's with the Sabbath right now?" Francisca asked in concern. "I am sure they have answers to that. I know they have the brightest minds, right?"

"Uh... well, it's more complicated than you can think of," Runya-Runya said with a deadpan. "The thing is... the situation there is-"

"Fucked, right?" Primera's answer interrupted her speech. The Werewolf Elf felt unease as the white Baphomet nods to her guess. "I can't believe even the brightest minds on your turf don't have solutions for this upcoming conflict!"

"Poor Shiro... she'd gone through hell from Pimor and now she doesn't want to come out of her room." Kuroferuru sighed, remembering seeing Shirokuto cowered in her own room after the Demon Lord's declaration of violence, and then her memory shifted to the General of the Army. "The situation also didn't help for Bapho-chan as well. The General of the Demon Lord's Army is currently anxious and stressed as heck. Her campaign against those Chaos Demons took a toll on her and became indecisive."

"The Demon Lord has already gone mad because one human made the impossible." Runya-Runya exclaimed. "That guy has done more feats than Artos, the rumoured legendary Hero of the Federation."

"Then what are we going to do now? I'm scared!" Francisca was shaken as her arms hugged to comfort herself. "All I ever wanted is to make anyone happy and live healthily! Not to fight where bloodshed will take place sooner!"

"P-Perhaps we need help!" Mimil then speaks up. "Why don't we ask the Chief God for help?"

"... Mimil, are you that insane?!" Primera slapped Mimil on top of her head. "Get that sense back into your head! Do you know what the Chief God will do if we call her for help!? She'll kill off our necks!"

"Owwie~!... Sorry..." Mimil apologised while rubbing her bruise. "We need someone who can help us and our friends out there are in danger!"

The Roper Queen of Lescatie saw her friends have fallen into disarray, sensing that the probable outcome of the war is looming over the horizon. Francisca thought that her new life as a monster will give her a wonderful future for the kingdom of Lescatie and its citizens. However, fighting over against one man who defied Druella's Idealism of Love unto the humans led to this event was disastrous. If they were humans, they knew that playing with such risks is not worth it.

'If we remain human... will this tragedy never happen in the first place?' Francisca stared down in disbelief. 'I... I thought fate will be in our favour and we should never suffer again... Was it all a lie? Are we really that helpless that we do nothing but relied upon our belief in positive consequences...? Even we live as monsters...? No... that can't be...'

'If Wilmarina said it was true... that means...' Then, the realisation struck her. 'We are truly the pawns in this world...! Nothing more!... If... if we could save anyone...'

Francisca then clenched her fists, thinking the impossible. 'Is it possible that we should ally with the one who defied fate?'

"I... have a plan... Why don't we go into the Federation and ask the Silver-Blue Knight for help?" Francisca speaks up, causing Primera and Mimil to jerk in dread. "We need to meet them since they have Elt. We'll probably propose an alliance to end this conflict between us and Wilmarina."

"... Proposing an alliance!? / That's stupid!" Both Primera and Mimil frowned as they disagreed. "You're getting us all killed!"

"I know, but what other options should we have?" Francisca slumped her shoulder down in regret. "Either a chance or nothing."

"Damnit... I hate this." Primera grits her teeth in regret. "Allying ourselves with the enemy... that's impossible."

"I hate to break this, but... they will de-monsterize us if we turn our backs," Mimil said while rubbing her temples out of stress. "If they do, then we'll forget everything and our progress will go back to zero."

"Unless we can explain the details." Kuroferuru chuckled while shrugging off her shoulders. "But we'll rebuild our friendship one day if the time is right."

"Y-You want us to become human again!?" Mimil cried out loud in disbelief. "I don't want to go back to that life where they can see me as a weapon rather than a child!"

"Looking back at the visions between Sasha Fullmoon and Ash Cyrus... tells us otherwise." Runya-Runya yawned while summoning a projecting vision on the wall. Depicting the previous Fallen Tower incident where Dark Priest Sasha kissed the entangled knight before the flash happened, returning to her human state. "For centuries, monsterization is believed that no magic has the power to reverse it. Humans expressed their deepest desires to become monsters. The bond of love between a human and a monster is so strong, it's impossible to break it..."

"Until recently... we saw they cando it," Kuroferuru said while raising her concerns. "When we first saw it... we were distraught and tried to find out how that made the impossibility... the power to de-monsterize a human."

"Perhaps... was it the value of the human will is actually that strong?" Runya-Runya guessed in confusion. "No... I think that makes little sense."

"Kuro... Runya... Please, other than the talks about monsterization. We have other matters at stake." Francisca spoke up, breaking their conversation. The Roper Queen then reflects to remind her about Wilmarina and Elt. She knew the Dark Hero has fallen into despair and the only cure was to reunite her with Elt. However, this will stir a troubling decision regarding the Dark Hero's twisted mental state. Francisca will consider Wilmarina to return her humanity. "Help us find the Silver-Blue Knight. Us being monsters... it doesn't matter anymore if we return to our old selves! This is for the sake of the People of Lescatie and Wilmarina!... My best friend Mary... she doesn't deserve this tragedy!"

"... And we thought that living in a life of a monster can improve our lives." Primera sighed while looking down in defeat. "But I guess we should've to rethink about having consequences rather than going for mindless sex with Elt."

"Big brother... At least he's still okay." Mimil looked down with relief as sadness took over. "Nevertheless, he's human again. I guess Elt will be shocked if we meet him again in our current state."

"I think the best way is to reconnect with him, but turning him back to an incubus is no option." Francisca declared with sheer determination within her eyes as Primera and Mimil looks up to her. "As human life can be full of suffering... even us monsters shall take the same consequences at any moment, no matter when or what."

"Yeah... I think you're right." Primera slowly nods in agreement. "I feel like a coward when I always believed there's nothing left for us. Despite the only chances we can take are full of risks."

Mimil felt moved by Primera's words until a tear escaped from her left eye. The Witch wipes off.

"Damnit... I feel like crying right now..." Mimil sniffed, holding back her tears, and smiled. "But who cares about living as a monster right now? I don't want Elt to be in danger! Neither Wilmarina does!"

"That's the spirit, you two! We're doing this for everyone's sake!" Francisca clasped her hands in joy. "So, what are we waiting for? Let's go!"

The Witches of the Black Goat were awed by the display of determination of the Princesses of Lescatie. Kuroferuru chuckled while leaning against the wall while doing a thumbs-up. For Runya-Runya, she knew the three would head for a risky journey for themselves to save Lescatie from the tyranny of the Demon Lord's influence.. which is, of course, The Demon lord herself.

"I can see that you three are regaining some sense of humanity within you." Runya-Runya smiled. "In case anyone of you returns to human... we'll be there to leave a message for your old selves, alright?"

"Uh... it sounds like you're thinking about writing our own last wishes," Mimil said with an awkward smile. "So... do you have any clue where the Silver-Blue Knight is right now?"

"Oh, him? The last time I heard from Wilmarina while hiding under her nose... they were heading off to Court Alf with a big air fleet." Kuroferuru explained. "They said the Silver-Blue Knight and the Maiden of Lescatie, along with their companions, went off to help Court Alf to deal with other monstrosities of unexplainable origins. However, they brought Elt with them."

"Elt is there too!?" Primera then grabbed her bow tight. "Send us there. We're going to warn them."

"We can teleport you there to Al-Mar, which is the safest place out of all the islands. But I can't bring you to a direct location where he is, since the warp between space became distorted that you might end up in a cage full of bloody hounds." Kuroferuru explained while opening the portal. "You'll be arriving at some place in Al-Mar, and be sure not to act rashly."

"Understood." Primera nods. "Alright, let's go."

Once the three princesses went through the portal, Kuroferuru and the other witches of the Sabbath waved their hands as they depart the pocket dimension. Runya-Runya yawned while waving her hand a farewell.

Then the black Baphomet expressed her mischievous smile. "Oh! Don't forget to tell that idiot leader of ours that we just send you there to bring a warning."

"Who?" Francisca asked while raising her brow in question.

"It's Druella~! She also becomes a part of their companionship as well~!" Kuroferuru chuckled, causing the princesses to reel back in shock. "Tell her to say Hi~! From the Sabbath!"

"... EHH!?"

"Hold up! Wait! Don't close-!"

Just before Primera would reach out for Kuroferuru to ask questions, the portal closes and a bright flash engulfs their visions until they blacked out.

...

Court Alf, Grand Temple of Poseidon.

...

"This... is not what I expected in our quest..."

Ash sighed deeply as he placed an empty wooden mug on the table. After his talks with Deren, the astoran knew that this will be a very dangerous job. He knew the abyss itself was not to be trifled with when they spread out without control and no warning. While it can be stopped when they accomplished their goals to defeat it, the abyss itself cannot be eradicated.

The worst thing of all is that the entity already has made a foothold. Queen Diana has already fallen, and De Ryua was the nearest island which is currently abandoned and infected by the perverted manifestation of darkness.

In other words, the abyss needs to be contained. Just like the last time in his previous journeys after Oolacile prior to his visit to the ruins of New Londo to defeat the Four Kings, which stopped the last spread of the abyss in Lordran. There are no other ways to remove it and it remained there. Even during the times of Lothric, the spread continued because of the absence of the Abysswatchers.

Ash dreads if the Abysswatchers were here in this world, there will be countless Order States and Monster Realms to be buried if it shows mere signs of the abyss. He bet Hawkwood and Ornstein as well will be livid once they heard about this.

"The abyss, huh? I've heard some stories from my old pops when I was young." Elen said while munching a fried chicken leg. "He said about those things were horrendous creatures that came out from the deepest depths of the dark like he's telling an old myth... at least that's what my dad said."

"But hold on... the last time we heard about them is from your adventures. You've already dealt with the Abyss in Oolacile, right?" Reginald recalled the mention of Ash's tale about his previous journeys. "So, how do we deal with them?"

"Yeah, that's like what I want to hear," Vermut said, joining the conversation. "We've dealt with those monstrosities in Anor Londo. But we're up against other types of abominations and still lack the knowledge of how to beat them."

"Yeah! So we can fight them efficiently!" Luciana raised her fists in the air in excitement. "As we Knights of the Ice Flower, we always came prepared!"

Ash then closed his eyes and crosses his arms, leaning back with a heavy sigh until he looks back at them with a serious look.

"The Abyss is not to be trifled with... it's a dangerous entity which emits your worst fears." Ash explained with dread in his voice, recalling his experiences to deal with the perverted manifestations of the dark. "It's full of darkness where the light cannot touch and their abominations will sprout out from nearly everywhere. It's more important you should bring your light and maintain your sanity in check... or worse, the Abyss will claim your soul alive and turn you into one of them."

Arcturus gulped. He didn't like the tone of that as he leans to Elaine's side. "I don't like the feeling from the sound of that... feels like we're going into a much deeper hell."

"That's what I was thinking." Elaine agreed as she nods.

"So... are there any countermeasures?" Olivier asked while raising her hand. "From the sound of your tone alone, is it really that dreadful?"

"The Abyss will spread without control and devour any life," Ash said, sighing. "There is no stopping it... the only way is to contain it."

"C-Contain it!?" Luciana gasped as anyone else froze in silence. "There's no purification for that!?"

"As I said it... the Abyss is an entity that cannot be erased. Even the Gods feared the perverted manifestations of the Dark." Ash explained further with a tense look. "It is the only way... once we defeat the minions of the Abyss and their leader. The spread of their realm will be stopped and remain in the dark, as the only darkness shall reign there. Buried deep beneath the earth."

"S-Sounds scary... Oh, Regi~! I'm feeling scared right now!" Daniella clings to Reginald's right arm in fear. "A darkness that can't be stopped... why does it exist...? I wish we should've dealt with a Dark Matter."

"I know, but this quest we signed up for is much more important than dealing with them," Reginald said, comforting Daniella. "Since the issues with Demonic Energy are solved... this one will be difficult."

"Judging from Ash's tone... he means this entity is a bigger threat than I imagined," Dracolinde stated while expressing her anxiety. "If his words were true. Then we're dealing with a much bigger threat than the Demon Lord... or even the Chief God herself."

"Then we should put our faith in ourselves to brave this darkness. I fear that the darkness itself will mingle with our minds if we aren't careful." Sasha prayed. "I hope for the best for everyone. We shall remain firm."

"... Elt, I hope you're prepared for this." Ash turns around to Elt. The young man gulped and nodded after hearing the details of their upcoming enemies. "Make sure your gear should be properly maintained... also, we might have an extra lesson later on."

Elt raised his brow in question. "Wait, I thought there won't be new lessons anymore."

"I know... but you need some extra firepower to ensure your survival," Ash said. "We'll meet at the specific place where I can lend you a gift."

"... A gift?" Elt spoke up in surprise.

"Well, would you look at that? It's already night." Elt turned his gaze to the right and spotted Druella, who lazily laid her arm while holding up her chin. Sipping some wine with her golden goblet. "Talk about the hospitality we were given by the Diva of Al-Mar... Uuuaaahhh~! Let's find a hotel to sleep~!"

"I'm sure you've heard the details of what Ash is talking about." Druella's face jerked up in annoyance as she turns to glance at Junayd. The Carthus Mercenary chuckled while drinking his tea. "I hoped that you're very well prepared. Because tomorrow, we'll depart for Mira. According to the locals, some abominations began popping into that place."

"Hmph... If you say so..." Druella groaned while rolling off her eyes. "I'm certain that we'll die in our mission if you keep me chained up like this."

"Oh, please~! Then what are you gonna do if we open up those bracelets?" Elen said while pointing out suspicions. "Are you gonna rape us with some of your tentacle magic?"

"I wouldn't mind if I do." Druella scoffed while averting her gaze from the Dhampir. However, her statements caused some unease among the Knights of the Ice Flower. "What? I'm a Lilim for Demon Lord's sake!"

"... Is she going to fight monsters, unarmed?" Gerome asked curiously while pointing towards Druella in concern.

"I think so." Elaine shrugged before expressing her mischievous grin. Druella felt a shiver while seeing the Orc's expression. "I bet she'll piss herself if we're gonna go deep down into the depths."

"To think of it... we should get some rest and depart early morning." Ash said while standing up, dusting off some bread crumbles from his trousers and then turning to Sasha and Dracolinde. "I heard Arial recommended some places for us to stay and that is... at the Fisherman's Dream."

...

Fisherman's Dream Inn. Later Evening.

...

"Ah~! Ahn~! Harder~!"

"Agh! Elina! You're sucking me dry~!"

"Cum~! Cum in me, you one big stud~!"

Outside of the Inn, Sasha felt her face flushed red in embarrassment while hearing the wet slapping sounds and moans of orgasms emitting from the inn by the monster couples. On her right stood Dracolinde, who she felt aroused by the groaning sounds of the Inn's occupants. She couldn't think more but dream about naughty thoughts of sharing a bed with Ash, Sasha, and herself.

"Kyah~! Ahh~! The pleasure is so intense~!" Dracolinde moaned as her private parts slowly leaked out of the wetness between her legs. "Haah~! I couldn't help it~!"

"Linde! Control yourself!" Sasha slapped her hand behind the head of Dracolinde, causing her to yelp and regain some senses.

"OW! What was that for!?" Dracolinde growled towards Sasha in spite while rubbing the back of her head, irritated. "I should have twisted your massive tits if I weren't caught off-guard!"

"We have a mission tomorrow. Just don't forget why we're here!" Sasha pouted in annoyance. "We should go to a check-in and see our room."

"Oh... on a second, though." Dracolinde then looks up at Sasha with a curious look. "Do you know what Ash is doing right now?"

"He said that he's giving something to Elt," Sasha said, concerned. "Ash said it was a gift... but I do not know what it is..."

...

At the harbours of Al-Mar, Ash stared up at the skies. The moon itself gives a sensation of peace as its radiance made the oceans glow with its light. Then he heard footsteps rushing up to him and turn his glance around, seeing Elt. Panting in exhaustion while catching up for air.

"Haah~! Haah~! Man, I'm beat!" Elt groaned while wiping off his sweat until he looks up at Ash. "So... this place, huh..."

"... Yes... and on the right time," Ash said while turning around. "Elt... do you know why I brought you here?"

"... No, I don't have a clue why?" Elt raises his question. "Is there something you need?"

"... I would ask thee a favour... if you're willingly up to the task to free your friend?" Ash exclaimed when he mentioned Wilmarina. "I'm certain that pure skill alone will not be enough to take an advantage of her in terms of power... and I see what you're lacking is the power of the drive of your will."

Ash then steps forward, placing his hand over Elt's right shoulder. "Elt... All I need is for you... to be strong enough to defeat her. I can see the determination within you, but the power she possesses will definitely shackle you to the point of no resistance... So I will lend a part of my power to thee, a Flame to drive your will beyond the measure than any human or monster could think of..."

"You will... lend me a part of your power...?" Elt was shocked. He felt the sweat running down his face and gulped down the saliva under his throat. "Is that possible?... I-I'm not sure what to say, Sir Cyrus. But I believe in handling such power you possess... is beyond me."

"That, I know... but think of the risk on the path you choose. Freeing your friend will be more challenging than any Heroes of the Order I come across... Elt, you need to believe in yourself and trust in the promise you've made." The Knight said, saying truthfully. "If you cannot liberate her from the tragedy she inflicted upon her own people... then what is your promise for?"

His words struck Elt. The young knight knew that the offer from his senior knight will be risky to possess a power he wasn't too familiar with. He was just a knight, born with common blood, with no affinity for magic or other talents. But the Astoran lending some power to him wasn't even common. He never heard of heroes lending their powers to others. Such rumours are only heard in fantasy novels he read back then.

"Elt... just keep in mind. All I ever want is to offer your help and take matters into your hands." Ash said. "You can decide. If you have luck, then you can keep it."

The young knight took a deep breath. Ash was right. Wilmarina is a hero, but she became a monster who is obsessed with a desire for love and him alone. Her powers were unmatched by anyone in Lescatie, except for Ash Cyrus, who had bested her. But if he goes alone to confront Wilmarina, the chances of returning her back will be abysmal.

Elt then casts a determined looked and nods. "... Alright... I will take a part of your power... for the sake of everyone."

"A wise choice... Here, this is for you." Ash then lends out a hand and opened his palm. A small flame flickered into life, dancing under his shadow and illuminating the darkness. "This small little fella has been with me for quite a while... lend out your hand and it will transfer into you."

Elt was mesmerised by the small little flame for a while and then slowly raised his left hand. As their hands formed a bridge, the little flame hovered over the young knight. As Ash disconnected his link with his squire, and the little flame danced on Elt's palm.

The young Lescatian Knight waved his finger through the fire and even touched it without burning his skin. "What... is this?"

"That's a Pyromancy Flame... it was a gift that belonged to my teacher. That flame was once a part of him. Once he lends his power unto me, it became a part of me." Ash said with nostalgia, remembering his first Pyromancy Teacher Laurentius, the man responsible for teaching him the Art of Pyromancy. "As I gave that flame to you... it is now a part of you. A second nature, a flame that will drive your ambitions through beyond."

"But why me?" Elt questioned.

"I only lend you the flame because I trusted in you to uphold your promise, and that flame itself now represents your new will," Ash replied. "Pyromancy isn't easily given. It requires trust and seeing the passion of your promise, the flame accepted you."

"Then... how will I use it?... It doesn't seem to be harmful." Elt said curiously while waving his pyromancy flame. "But all I can say is that this is something I wouldn't expect."

"I will teach you the basic arts of pyromancy and its uses." The Astoran smiled under his helmet. "Remember Elt, as long as you develop with your skill... your flames will become stronger."

"Awesome!... With this power... I can save Wilmarina!" Elt smiled in joy while raising his flaming hand. "Just don't worry, Mary! One day, I will free you and make sure our real promise to reunite again will come true!"

...

One Thousand Feet above the Sea of Asuramis.

...

"So... the Islands of Court Alf are just merely a few days away..." Wilmarina muttered with a bored look as her head rested on her palm, sitting within the Captain's cabin while looking over the map of Asuramis. "According to our spies, they were heading off to Al-Mar. They'll probably leave for another island to do their quest before we can even reach there."

The Dark Hero is sure that the Silver-Blue Knight and his companions were hard to keep track of because of their lack of mana and were difficult to find them. Even Druella's scent was faint, which is hard to notice. However, Wilmarina formed a wicked smile when she came up with a thought.

"Perhaps... maybe we shall subjugate that one island if they ever came back from their quest." Wilmarina chuckled as she turn her glance to the location where Al-Mar stood. "Hehehehe~! We'll land a surprise and capture them for good... Sasha and her wretched Astoran bodyguard will have their special place as their heads shall sit on a pike! Oh, that's brilliant! HAHAHAHA~!"

*DOOOM~!*

Wilmarina then heard the skies roar with thunder as the rain droplets washed against the windows. The Dark Hero stood up from her desk and covered the windows with the blinds to muffle the stormy winds. Outside of her cabin, her main battle airship pierced the greyish clouds under the night skies. As soon as the main ship lifts to a higher altitude, over fifty airships emerged.

It was a fleet that belonged to the Demonic Navy of Lescatie. Armed to teeth with the newest guns and cannons, loaded with lethal warheads made of lead titanate and the hulls were retrofitted with armour to withstand the harsh weather of the storm and the corroding seas. Wilmarina knew that she and her new army weren't facing Ash Cyrus, Sasha Fullmoon, and their companions alone. There will be otherworldly entities and abominations to interfere with them as well, and they can hinder her plans.

The Dark Hero was playing with her cards carefully, as she knew that Fate itself was no longer in their favour. All she needs is one chance to achieve the revenge that she deserved and to get her husband back into her hands.

"I should see what Admiral Owen is doing right now?"

Wilmarina wondered while heading for the door and exiting her room. She walked straight to the nearest corner and entered an elevator which sends her to the bridge that lies on the top citadel of the ship. The Dark Hero then heard muffled moans coming from the bridge, and she grumbled in irritation. The Admiral of the Fleet was having a fun time with his wife.

"I bet they're having sex rather than planning."

The Dark Hero gripped the handle and open the doors with a slam, causing the monster couple to stop their erotic activities and quickly stood up from their table. Both the incubus and the succubus saluted to the Lord of Lescatie as they stand firm, despite their pants and underwear hanged under their knees. Wilmarina felt her eyes twitch at their disorderly manner.

"I've seen you were once well-mannered and disciplined back in our old days... Now reduced into a perverted slob... Why is the Navy still choosing you?" Wilmarina growled with a serious look as she crossed her arms, tapping her right foot. The Admiral and his wife were shaken and afraid to respond and Wilmarina let out a deep sigh. "You know what? Forget it... this is more important than having your fun time... Admiral Owens."

"I know. I apologise for my actions here, with my wife. She just needs my energy to become strong." Owens pardoned while bowing his head. "Our men need to maintain the power of their wives in check. Else, they would've been starved for our mana."

"Hmph... since you two are lucky to be with each other, I bet you lovebirds could last long to survive this." Wilmarina scoffed. "So, do you have plans for this operation?... No?"

"I... have done nothing yet. Then I again, I'm sorry." Admiral Owens apologised, causing the Dark Hero to massage her temples in stress. "I will think of it. We still have a few days left until we arrived at Court Alf."

"... I can't believe I'm surrounded by complete braindead idiots and perverts!" Wilmarina grunts quietly while letting out a muffled hiss underneath her breath as she pressed her fingers across her temples, deep in anger. 'These two joined me after I took over the city and the country... I should've known this and chosen another one from the naval branch! But all of them were the same as he! I'll kill that Lilim once I see her... for doing this to our military, be filled with nothing more but airheads and clowns!'

"Haah... Fine, do it within an hour and I'll give you this chance." Wilmarina vented out her frustration while looking up at him with a scowl. "Do it now... or I'm going to tie you both with chains and drop you down into the oceans. I hope you'll spend your entire life under the deep where you cannot see the light of the day."

Admiral Owens and his wife reeled back in shock at hearing for what she had just said before Wilmarina exited the bridge. Owens felt his wife embracing him tightly in fear of losing him.

"Darling... I-I'm scared!" His wife uttered as she held back her tears. "Why...? Why is she this cruel?"

"The Dark Hero lost her beloved husband..." The Admiral said while comforting his wife. "Adele... Don't worry, we must help Wilmarina. Whatever we can."

"She wasn't supposed to be like this... For all I know... Wilmarina was a good-natured hero..." Adele spoke softly, in sorrow. "Why has the world inflicted so much pain on her?"

"... Adele, we musn't spend most of our time like this... I also fear for your life as well." Owens patted her head. "I will make sure we won't die... escaping them can also mean the death of us. They will track us down if we do."

Adele gasped. Her husband speaks no lie in his words before embracing him once more, with tears of fear and sadness. "Please don't say that!... I don't want to hear it!"

"It's the truth... I'm sorry for saying it." Owens embraced his wife to soothe her for comfort. "I regretted this grisly fate of ours."

...

Court Alf, Al-Mar. The next morning.

...

"Ugh... I feel like hammered shit..."

"You don't say..."

Vermut and Luciana groaned as they walked down the main water street of Al-Mar and reached the docks, where Arcturus, Gerome and Elaine are seen waiting for them. Including Sif, the greatwolf was packed with necessities on his back while Arcturus came to greet them.

"Hey! Morning you two-... oh jeez. Looks like you two have gone through a hangover."

"Luckily, I wasn't drunk last night." Arcturus spun around to see Olivier arrive with Elt as they carried rucksacks on their backs. "I got these two drunks to the hotel, luckily. Elt came to help me out after his meeting with Ash."

"Ugh... I gotta forget that incident we have last night." Elt groaned in discomfort. "Luciana puked on my shoe. It took me an hour to wash it off."

"Holy shit... you two better control your alcohol consumption." Elaine raised her brow, telling her advice to the knights of the Ice Flower while shrugging off her shoulders. "It happened to me several times, but not that much of a big deal."

"The last time I remembered how our ol' Pop got angry at you for having reckless drinking." Elaine felt his words strike her nerves as she rolled her glance over to Gerome. The Knight of the Sunlight forms a smirk across his face. "Remember that time when you almost broke a wall in the tavern when you were drunk? I remember the Innkeeper's complaints."

"Oh shut up, you douche!" Elaine hit her elbow against his side, causing Gerome to yelp. "I'm going to crack those balls of yours if you come up that again!"

"So... young knight. It seems you're very well prepared." Elt turn his glance and looked up to Sif. "Best you should check on your equipment first. The Abyss does not wait for its prey to come unaware... like the last time that happened to my dear friend."

Elt then raised a question. "Your friend?"

"His name is Artorias... One of the Four Knights of Lord Gwyn and a veteran dragonslayer from the war against the Everlasting Dragons." Sif explained to the young knight. "He earned the title of "Abysswalker". For he was the first knight who traversed the darkness in order to defeat Manus, the Father of the Abyss. Yet alas, as the darkness proved too strong. Artorias survived, but he was subjected to the corruption of Manus before Sir Cyrus came to end his misery."

"Whoa... that's... awful." Elt was speechless while looking down. "I'm sorry to hear that."

"Don't be... Sir Cyrus did not let his quest go in vain as my friend deserved his peace." Sif continued while closing his eyes. "Times changing... and in this new world shall have another abyss... We have to make sure that it should not spread."

"Right!" Elt raised his fist in motivation. "We'll do the best we can!"

"Greetings everyone!" The companions turned their glance to the source and saw Deren, Anri, and Ifrit. Packed with bags and important necessities for their upcoming travels. "So how was your night in Al-Mar?"

"It's all good!" Arcturus smiled while raising his hand. "So, by the way... where are the others?"

"Over here!" Everyone turned their glances towards another voice, revealing Junyad, who waved his hand. Druella and Elen arrived at the port as well. "Well, we're right on time."

"Jeez, early in the morning. I should've continued my nap," Druella complained with a yawn while placing her hands on her hips and casting her annoyed glance over at Elen. "I bet you're not sending me into a trap."

"Oh~? You wanna let me see doing it, hm~?" Elen smiled maliciously while leaning over to the lilim, causing Druella to reel back while trying to look away from her. "What? You're asking for it~!"

"Tsk! You're the craziest monster girl that I've ever paired up with!" Druella angrily blurted with a pout while pointing her finger at Junyad. "I would be better off with this man than you!"

"Wait... you're talking to me?" Junyad questioned with a confused expression, and Druella blushed. "Huh... I feel flattered."

"Th-that's not what I meant!" The Lilit stuttered out, denying her feelings.

"Well... looks like everyone's all here!" Elen spun around and saw Reginald come up with Daniella while raising his hand. "Yo! I bet all of you have got a good sleep!"

"Ehehe~! Looks like the Silver-Blue Knight had some fun with Sasha and Linde~!" Daniella chuckled as she saw the three arriving at the port.

"Ash~! Can we visit a fair in Matori later on after this mission~?" Dracolinde held Ash by his right arm while dazzling up at him with an innocent, child-like look. "Fufufu~! I heard they served some good ice cream and delicious cakes~! What do you say~?"

"Hey! Who says that you're visiting that island with him by yourself!?" Sasha pouts while grabbing Ash with his left hand. "Don't forget that I'm here as well!"

"Heh! Those two are at it again~!" Daniella smiled.

"Huh... can those two ever stop their quarrelling?" Reginald raised his brow in concern. "They seem to forget why we're here for."

"You two... stop it." Both Sasha and Dracolinde immediately let him go once they heard Ash being unamused by their brash act. "For the last time, I said we're not here for a luxury tour... we can still visit them on this island hopping quest while subjugating monsters. How about that?"

"Ooh~! That sounds like an actual sense of adventure~!" Dracolinde then smiled as she clapped her draconic claws together in joy. "It's like from the times of the previous demon lord where there are two heroes, a male and a female, going to subject evil monsters and fell in love with each other. Isn't that romantic~?"

"Hmph! You're giving her too much fun..." Sasha puffed her cheeks while crossing her arms, feeling the sensation of her jealous heart and then whispering to herself. "I won't let you have him."

"Ah, I see you have issues with two women." Ash heard Deren come around with a hearty chuckle. "Don't worry lad, you remind me back in my days... stuck in the same situation as this."

"... You're married?" The Astoran Knight asked.

"Yes. Experienced and went through a lot in my married life." Deren smiled underneath his helmet while raising his ring finger, showing off two marriage rings. "My wives and kids are at home in Albion. I send them letters every week to make sure I'm fine and dandy."

"You have two wives? Not one?" Sasha asked out in surprise, causing Dracolinde to share the same reaction.

"Indeed. One is a Heroine of the Order who had been a monster for a couple of centuries." Deren answered with a nod. "The other is a Muse, a maiden created by some alchemist, who seeks the truth of the old Lords."

Ash then raised a question. "A Muse?"

"Aye... she had been with me ever since I entered Majula. Back in my days, she was known as the Emerald Herald." Deren explained with a sigh. "Upon our arrival in this brand new world. Shanalotte still clings by my side once I walked away from the darkness, a darkness that held the Thrones that should've been the last of me."

His cryptic words perplexed Ash in some ways. His hunch knew Deren was an outworlder like him, but he came from another era from the times when Drangleic was around prior to the rise of Lothric. The Astoran would've liked to hear some tales from Deren about his past journeys between his absence for thousands of years. The Astoran's thoughts were then interrupted when one of the ship's crewmember blew a whistle, signalling the passengers to come aboard.

"I put my prayers for your safety, brave warriors." Everyone turned their glances and saw Arial walking up to the companionship while being flanked by two Temple Guards and Captain Della was there to greet them with a wave of her hand. "Deren, I entrusted you and your new allies to defeat the mysterious Abyss. With our cooperation and support, we shall land your help in need."

"I thank you, Diva of Al-Mar." Deren nods with a smile. "It was a pleasure to be in your hospitality, and do not worry. Ifrit will be safe under our wing."

Ifrit blushed as she clings to Anri, much to his surprise and confusion, while Arial cast a look of approval to see the young mermaid embarking on an adventure to seek the love of her own.

"You're our last hope. Al-Mar needs heroes like thee." Arial spoke to everyone as she felt relieved while stepping back. "We shall await your return."

"We're counting on you guys!" Della raised her hand with a cheer, and the Temple Guards followed. "Give those ugly bastards a good beating!"

The companionship embarks the ship as soon as the sail fell from the mast. Once Sif was brought into the storage area by a crane, the floating vessel howled the horns and set sail towards Mira, the closest island that bordered the mysterious abyss.
