A/N: So this is my Naruto Avatar fic, please give me ideas who you would like Naruto to be paired with in the reviews, I don't know who he should be paired with so I'm leaving it to the readers in this story. Pairing options are Naruto x Ty Lee or Naruto x Katara.

~Shuhon Island Hospital~

Currently lay in a hospital bed was a beautiful red head who was giving birth, while this was happening her husband was pacing around the room panicking as he heard her grunts and they sounded painful until she shouted "Lu Ten get your ass here and comfort me!" This snapped the man out of his panic as he rushed over and held her hand softly rubbing the back of it trying to tell her it'll all be alright.

"Shh Kushi it'll be alright" he said softly as she gripped his hand tightly making him grit his teeth trying to forget the pain all the while kissing her hand.

"Don't you Kushi me" she growled as he smiled "After this if I get my hands on you I'm going to castrate you got it?!" She shouted making him pale and the midwives to giggle at his misfortune until one shouted.

"We see the head! Just a couple more pushes Lady Kushina" The now identified Kushina only nodded and kept pushing all the while gripping her husband's hand she was holding with new found strength until they heard wails from the midwifes arms who walks up to Kushina and hands her a baby with a small tuft of red hair, Kushina smiled down at her baby and giggled softly at him

"Hello there" she said as she rubbed his cheek making his eyes open showing a pair of charcoal eyes that look like his fathers "Hey there Naru, welcome to the world my baby boy" she whispered as she kisses his forehead getting a giggle from the boy.

After a while Kushina fell asleep with her baby, Naruto they decided to call him, in her arms, this was after he was cleaned and Lu Ten got a hold of him. Lu Ten sent out a messenger hawk to take a letter to his father General Iroh about the birth and it being a success.

~6 years later~

Over the past 6 years Naruto has shown to have the ability to use fire bending while also being able to use water bending, both are the bending types of his parents, though his water bending was a secret only his mother and Grandpa Iroh knew, he also became friends with his cousins Zuka and Azula though he didn't like the feeling he got when around his younger cousin Azula but he loved hanging out with his older cousin Zuko, currently he stood at 4 foot 2 inches tall slightly tall for his age with complete red hair which made him stand out, though his mother said it's because their family on her side was unique as if they were ever born by two parents with different bending abilities they will gain both and be able to merge both elements with practice but sadly those bendings won't be passed on to future generations.

Another couple friends Naruto made over the years were the friends of Azula both named Ty Lee and Mai, Mai being born of a noble family while Ty Lee was born into a High Class citizen family so the three (Azula, Ty Lee and Mai) met each other at the party to announce the next in line for the throne which was Ozai because of something terrible that happened a little over a year ago.

~Flashback (Heir Party)~

Naruto was stood beside his mother while eating a sandwich with one hand and holding her other, over the years he had been taught proper table manners and the such as he was part of the Fire Nation's royal family, he was looking around for his father when he heard Fire Lord Azulon, his great-grandfather say "Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like for you to meet the heir to the title of Fire Lord" as he finished Ozai walked out confusing Naruto.

"Mommy" he said quietly "Wasn't Grandpa Iroh meant to get the throne?" he asked softly as his mother looked at him and nodded "Then why-" he was going to continue until Azulon spoke up from the front of the party.

"After some devastating news from the returnees of the war in Ba Sing Se informing us that my son Iroh doesn't have an heir anymore" Azulon said as he continued "General Lu Ten lost his life after being mortally wounded in our war against the Earth Nation" finished Azulon as Naruto seemed to put it together and his eyes widened and shimmered with unshed tears.

"He's lying right mommy?" He asked as he turned to see his mother in a worse state than himself, he then turned to where he heard some foot steps and sae his Grandpa Iroh "Grandpa, Great-Grandpa is lying right?" He asked in the smallest voice Iroh had heard him talk in since he learned to talk "I mean daddy is so strong he couldn't have died right?" Naruto asked again in almost a whisper as Iroh walked over and picked up Naruto.

"Kushina let's get you two home" he said to his daughter-in-law who nodded too afraid to speak incase her emotions let loose, once they got home Iroh explained everything and was about to leave when some water wrapped around his wrist and held him there.

"Grandpa" Naruto said in a sad voice "Mommy said liars are mean so don't lie please, tell me where daddy is" he seemed too calm as tears ran down his face showing that he wanted it all to be a nightmare, Iroh looked at the boy in shock at him using water bending and was about to say something until Kushina spoke up.

"Naru, grandpa Iroh isn't lying, your daddy-" she choked on a sob as she cuddled Naruto tight making the water fall to the floor as he started to wail into his mother's shoulder "He did his best to protect everyone here" she whispered reassuringly to both herself and Naruto, Iroh heard her as well and smiled sadly as he left to return to the party

~Flashback end~

Naruto walked into his house only to see his mother there "Hey mom" he said getting her attention as she hummed "Where'd Ty Lee go? I was only going to get a bottle of water from the store so I can show her the thing" he asked softly as his mother looked at him stunned.

"Naru" she said in a strict voice "I told you not to show anyone unless we can trust them 100%" she whispered as Naruto nodded with a pout.

"But I trust Ty Lee with my life" he replied as he sat down surprising his mother and Ty Lee who walked into the living room.

"I went to the toilet" she said as Naruto turned to her and looked surprised before it changed to a smile she sat opposite him next to his mother.

"Alright Ty Lee!" he says with enthusiasm and looks at the bottle "What I'm about to show you, is something you have to promise not to tell or show anyone" he whispered as Ty Lee nodded her head and held up her pinky.

"Pinky promise" she said as they wrapped their pinky's together and nodded, with that done Naruto uncapped the bottle of water and started to use water bending to make it move around the bottle before pulling it out and holding it up.

"Look I have both fire and water bending" he said with a grin until the three heard a feminine gasp and turned to see Azula who walked in after knocking and the three didn't heard. "Azula?!" Naruto asked shocked as he put the water back in the bottle and then put the lip back on, but it was too late Azula was gone and he looked to his mother.

"Naru, we have to go" she said sternly as Naruto flinched and nodded as he stood up and ran to his room to pack his clothes.

Ty Lee looked confused "Where are you and Naru going Kushina?" She asked slightly scared of losing her friend.

Kushina looked down at her "We have to leave or Ozai will turn Naruto into a warrior even if Naruto doesn't want to" she whispered as Ty Lee sat there stunned "You can go and help him pack and say your goodbyes before we leave" Kushina said as Ty Lee nodded and ran as fast as she could, once reaching Naruto's room she went in only to see him rushing about and packing clothes and she giggled.

"Ty Lee" he smiled softly as he continued packing "Lend a hand?" he asked as she started to help him with clothes "Oh and I have a present for you, I was going to give it to you on your birthday but we won't be here for it" he said as he handed her a small jewelery box that she hid somewhere which confused Naruto.

"I'll open it when I get home, for now focus on packing" she said still upset, after a little while they were sat on Naruto's bag which was filled with some clothes and other essentials he'll need and she kissed his cheek "I'm upset you have to leave Naru" she said almost crying "But promise one day you'll come back?" she asked holding up her pinky as he nodded and used his pinky to hold hers.

"Pinky promise" he said softly, as she stood up she took of a small pendant she was wearing and for as long as Naruto knew her she always kept it on "What's this for?"

She smiled and walked towards the door "Your birthday present and to make sure you don't forget me" with that she left and started to walk to her home, as soon as she left Kushina spoke up.

"Let's go Naru, through the escape grandpa told us about" she said as Naruto grabbed his bag and nodded both of them walking out while Naruto rubbed his cheek.

"Oh crap mom! I forgot my sleeping bag for our camping trips" he said frantically as she giggled.

"I have my sweet prince" she said as Naruto calmed down with a small sigh and nodded "So does little Naru plan on marrying Ty Lee?" she asked him teasingly as he blushed.

"M-Mom! I'm too young!" he shouted as they kept walking through the tunnels. After they left they started to head towards where Kushina was from, the Southern water tribe.

~8 years later~

A young man with crimson red hair was sat on a wall of snow and ice holding a small pendant in his hand, the young man was 14 years old and stood at 5 foot 7 inches and had a lean muscular build showing that he never spent too much time away from working physically. He heard some snow crunching behind him and smirked as he looked over his shoulder.

"Katara!" he shouted with a small smirk pushing the pendant down his shirt as she walked up to him with a pout on her face. "How is the Southern water princess doing?" he asked with a smirk as he knew she hated the title.

"I told you to stop calling me that Naruto" she grumbled before she sat beside him "And I'm bored"

He looked hurt "Ouch I'm only light entertainment now" he whispered sarcastically as she rolled her eyes before she giggled at him.

"Me and Sokka are going hunting and I was going to ask if you'd come along to help me out with water bending" she offered as he looked thoughtful and nodded.

"Sure it'll get Gran-Gran to stop bugging me about going hunting as well" he said as he stood up and walked along side Katara to the boat.

A/N: Next chapter will be the awakening of Aang and Naruto and Zuko seeing each other for the first time in 8 years as well as Grandpa Iroh
