A/N: So I dunno if anyone told pain17ification about this fanfiction, but thank you I guess, yeah I noticed it was going the same way as his own and that's why it's been on a while break so I could think of the rest of the story, I plan to have a huge change soon so please watch out for that. Also thank you to pain17ification for reviewing, yeah I used your ff as a base idea and branched off of there over time, I also really enjoy your own ffs quite a bit.
I should also mention, I have been looking at the reviews and from the time since chapter 1 came out and this one has there has been a lot of votes for who to pair him with, uh the final standings are 9 for Ty Lee and 8 for Katara, I didn't take into account the choices where it was mutiple choices for example "Toph, Ty Lee and Azula" so thank you all for voting but Ty Lee has won.

Naruto was sat in the boat with Sokka and Katara as he looked at the water and pulled large bubbles of it closer to the boat and allowed Sokka to catch them, he was doing this until he heard water splash into Sokka's face and coughed to cover up a cough, he looked at the source and saw Katara trying to act innocent "If I didn't know better you were trying to waterbend without a teacher Katara" Naruto said as she looked away and pouted, they then heard Sokka start to shout at Katara and Naruto sighed "Sokka, calm down, it's natural for beginners to mess up a couple times" Naruto said as he took the water off of his face getting a quick thank you, what they didn't realize was that Katara was still angry at Sokka shouting at her.
"You know Sokka just because I'm not the best waterbender yet doesn't mean you need to shout at me!" she shouted as Sokka flinched "Maybe it's actually because you think that guys are the boss, huh?!" Katara continued to rant as Naruto watched as an iceberg fell apart, he used his bending to move the boat out of the way and chuckled.
"You know Katara, you just broke a whole iceberg in anger" Naruto said with a chuckle before he looked out towards the ice and his eyes narrowed a little seeing a ball of ice "Well almost all apparently" Naruto said hopping out of the boat and towards the ball of ice with Sokka and Katara following behind him, as soon as Naruto reached it he rubbed his hand against it and felt it was extra cold "Feels like airbending forced ice" he whispered his eyes widening "Sokka can I borrow your boomerang?" Naruto asked getting a hesitant nod as he was handed it.
Naruto charged up a large swing and smashed it into the ice before repeating the progress "Naruto, what's wrong?" Katara asked as Naruto laughed.
"He is still alive" Naruto mumbled as he hit it once more and then they were forced back as a beacon of light shot out of the crumbling ice ball, as soon as it vanished Naruto saw a bald 12 year old with arrows and laughed before saying "The Avatar was alive for 100 years" Naruto said with a chuckle surprising the two with him.
"What do you mean?" Sokka asked as Naruto pointed to the bald's arrow.
"Well just look, it's an airbender who's been in ice" Naruto said as Sokka mumbled something as Naruto sighed and pointed to the giant bison in the ice "If the books are correct that's a sky bison" Naruto said as they heard a soft groan as Naruto turned to the boy.
"That's right, that's Appa, my sky bison" the monk said as Naruto laughed and rubbed Appa's fur before his eyes narrowed.
"Hmm, it's softer than rumors said" Naruto whispered as he heard Appa grumble and chuckled "Right sorry, I should introduce myself before I start rubbing you huh?" Naruto asked "Well I'm Naruto Uzumaki" Naruto said as he held his hand out to Appa's head "Nice to meet ya Appa" Naruto said as Appa seemingly nodded and bumped his head against Naruto's hand.
The Air Nomad looked at the interation and chuckled "It's nice to see someone knows the customs even outside of the Air Temples" the boy said as Naruto nodded slightly "I'm Aang" the nomad said as Naruto chuckled and nodded.
"You already have my name, oh and my two friends here are Sokka and Katara, Prince and Princess of the Southern Water Tribe" he replied as Aang nodded at the two.
"Right" Katara said glaring at Naruto as he smirked "Anyways, Aang was it?" she asked as Aang nodded "It's nice meeting you" Katara said as Sokka seemed stressed.
"Yeah, nice meeting you but we gotta get back to the tribe to get the fish back" Sokka said seriously as Naruto nodded.
"Yeah we gotta do that" he mumbled and heard Appa grumble as Naruto chuckled and then remembered Aang talking about the Air temples "Hey Aang, you mentioned the Air Temples right?" Naruto asked as Aang nodded and he flinched "I'm sorry to tell you but the air temples aren't populated anymore" Naruto said surprising Aang "You're the last airbender according to records" Naruto said as Aang laughed a little in denial.
"Of course, because the Air nomads probably fleed" Aang said as Naruto didn't wanna burst his bubble.
"Yeah" Naruto said softly as he patted Aang's head "Anyways, are you and Appa gonna come with us?" Naruto asked as Aang seemed in thought before seeing Appa pat his tail against the floor as he nodded.
"Naruto, what if they're Fire nation spies?" Sokka asked as Naruto groaned.
"The authentic Air Nomad tattoo on his head says otherwise Sokka so does the GIANT bison next to us?" Naruto said sarcastically as he shrugged "Dunno might be Fire nation if you ask me" Naruto said more sarcastically before sighing "Let's just get them back to Gran-Gran so she can tell you they're authentic and what they mean, even though I know what they mean" Naruto said as he walked off stomping his foot once lifting a wave under their small boat as it pushed it closer to them and Naruto started to drag it back to the tribe's homes with Katara and Sokka following, Aang on top of Appa.
As soon as they reached the tribe Naruto chuckled as he took in two buckets filled with fish and walked into the tribe "Oi, Gran-Gran we're back" Naruto said into the biggest igloo, he got a response of 'I'm coming' before exiting and she saw the three with another child who had tattoos as soon as she saw the tattoos her eyes widened.
"The Avatar" she whispered as Naruto chuckled.
"Told ya Sokka" Naruto said walking into the igloo, after he put the buckets down he turned to see Gran-Gran looking at Aang's tattoos.
"These are real, he's an Air Nomad" Gran-Gran said as Naruto chuckled, he was about to say something until he heard ice breaking.
"That sounds like metal on ice" he said as he looked out and saw ships with the Fire nation insignia "Why are they here?" he asked eyes widening at the ships.
"Who-" Sokka stopped himself seeing the ships "See he's a spy!" Sokka shouted as Naruto flicked his head.
"They must have been alerted when we released him from the ice" Naruto said as Katara nodded "After all that was a large beacon of energy, I'd be surprised is Ozai didn't see it himself" Naruto said seriously surprising them as Gran-Gran sighed nodding.
"Naruto, Aang, stay here me, Sokka and Katara will go have a look" Gran-Gran said as Naruto clicked his tongue.
"Why-" Naruto was cut off by a glare from Gran-Gran.
"Because you and the Fire nation have bad history" Gran-Gran said as he sighed and sat down.
He was sat still watching Aang until he heard a familiar voice shout "Where is the Avatar?!" his eyes widened.
"Zuko" he whispered to himself and stood up, as soon as he got to the door he manipulated water in some pots to close and lock the door as it froze over, he walked out and his eyes widened seeing Zuko with a scar, he was about to jump out but felt his sleeve being grabbed he turned to see Katara "Let me go, please" he whispered as her eyes softened hearing his tone and she nodded as he went out "Zuko!" he shouted as he walked out his red hair on show as Zuko's eyes widened.
"We came here for the Avatar but we seemed to have found my traitorous cousin!" Zuko exclaimed as Naruto walked into the center of the crowd opposite Zuko.
"Traitorous? How so Zuko? Last I checked just because I wield more than one element doesn't make me a traitor, is it because I refused to used as your father's pawn?!" Naruto growled as they heard the ice shake around them showing his mastery over water "Remember Zuko, we used to spar when we were younger and I'd always beat you, are you sure you wish to fight again?" Naruto asked as Zuko scoffed.
"Times have changed Naruto" Zuko said as Naruto smirked.
"That they have" Naruto said closing his eyes "I surrender, leave the tribe alone and I'll come with you all, the Avatar left as soon as he got here and we gave him food" Naruto said lying professionally and pulling the wool over Zuko's eyes, he kneeled down and felt cuffs being put on as he was pulled to his feet and dragged off, he kept his eyes closed as they took hin onto the ship and to the prisoner cells.
As soon as they put him in a cell, they took off his cuffs and walked out locking the door, Naruto sat there on his knees eyes still closed until he heard the door open and he smiled softly "Grandfather" he said softly seeing Iroh's eyes soften at his only grandson.
"Naruto" Iroh said as Naruto chuckled.
"Come for a game of Pai sho?" Naruto asked as Iroh shook his head "Then?" Naruto asked as Iroh sat opposite the boy who was behind bars.
"Where is he really?" Iroh asked as Naruto laughed a little.
"He is long gone, flying Bison" Naruto said with a smirk as Iroh's eyes widened "Yeah, I had the same reaction" Naruto said "Pretty incredible" Naruto said as he heard Iroh humming a tune he remembered from his parents "Leaves from the vine" Naruto said before hearing Iroh sing the rest.
"Falling so slow, like fragile, tiny shells, drifting in the foam" Naruto sat there listening to his grandfather before sighing as he stood up walking to the bars and reached his arms out for a cuddle, Iroh smirked knowing Naruto knew the real reason he came and stood up giving his Grandson a cuddle and felt his keys disappear from his side "Your fingers have gotten even better at pickpocketing" Iroh whispered as Naruto hid the keys in his sleeve.
"I don't know what you mean" he said softly with a smirk as Iroh nodded and slowly left.
"Good luck, my grandson" Iroh said as he left, Naruto waited an hour before unlocking his cell and smirked.
"I may use water more, but there is none in here so I'm better off using my fire" Naruto said sadly as he opened the door and quickly knocked out the two guards and dragged them into the room, he closed the door and took their armor and keys before locking them in the cell, he out on the armor and walked out of the room and made his way to the deck of the ship where he heard a large groan and sighed "I knew they'd come" he whispered to himself as he punched a fireball at the door with enough heat to melt it, as soon as he was happy he turned and took off the armor smirking as he saw Zuko waiting "So, a spar?" Naruto asked as Zuko grunted with a nod.
As if given an unsaid signal they ran from their spots as Naruto dodged a couple punches from Zuko returning a few to his chi points, after a short while Zuko lost control of his arms and Naruto smirked "Chi blocking, handy thing isn't it?" Naruto asked as he delivered a quick chop to Zuko's neck and stood at the edge of the ship, he jumped off before using the water as a platform to boost himself up into the air where he hopped off and stood on a Sky Bison "So Appa can fly" Naruto said with a smirk seeing Aang holding the reigns while Katara sat there with a scowl and Sokka looked angry "Ah, explanations I guess" Naruto said sitting down.
That's what he did for a few hours, explained his relationship to the Fire nation.
"Let me get this straight, you're a Fire nation prince or was until your father was killed in Ba Sing Se? And you wield both water and fire bending?" Sokka asked as he nodded.
"Summed it up pretty quick" Naruto said as Katara asked a question.
"So when you called me Southern water princess?" Katara asked as Naruto hummed.
"My way of respecting you" Naruto said as he smiled softly "The only person who calls my prince now passed away when we reached our freedom" Naruto said as Katara and Sokka's eyes widened.
"Your mom" Katara whispered as Naruto nodded.
"Reason I fought so hard to try and protect yours when they came looking for water benders, although she ordered me not to show my own bending in front of them or I would have been taken as well" Naruto whispered as Katara nodded softly.
They sat in silence until they heard Aang speak up "So where to now?" Aang asked as Naruto hummed.
"Kyoshi Island" Naruto said getting surprised looks "There are things related to the Avatar there, Aang could possibly learn a thing or two about being the Avatar and about the Spirit world" Naruto said as Sokka nodded in thought.
"Kyoshi Island then the Northern Water tribe" Sokka said as Naruto nodded.
"We can get Aang a water bending master once we get there" Naruto said.
"Aren't you one?" Katara asked as he scoffed.
"I myself would say I'm not, I haven't had an actual master access my level of water bending, then I also need to learn and practice fire bending" Naruto said.
"Why learn fire bending?" Sokka asked as he sighed.
"Because if I focus only on water I am useless if I get caught on one of those boats, which means after we go to the Northern Water tribe, I'm going on a seperate adventure" Naruto said "Until we see each other again" Naruto said as he saw Katara about to argue about it.
He softly grasped his pendant through his shirt and smiled softly 'Soon Ty, soon' he thought to himself.
