It was now lunch time and per usual, Marinette was sitting alone in the cafeteria, scrolling through her phone feed. She would usually draw at lunch time but due to people coming over to her and trying to take her designs as she 'stolen' them from Lila, she had to stop. She had just settled for just eating now as she put her phone away. Going on her phone meant seeing tweets from Lila and ALya as well as the Ladyblog which was basically tabloid trash by now.

"I wonder what that note meant," Marinette mumbled to herself as she pondered the thought. She poked around at the meatloaf on her tray as well as rolling the sad looking orange and carton of milk

"Do you think Morgana knows something?" Tikki whispered from the purse.

"I mean she did use my pad, but she's only known everyone for half a day. And I don't know what she likes, so would she know actual facts?" Marinette replied. It was perplexing to say the least. Tikki didn't respond and as Marinette was about to speak again she realised why.

"Hello… Marinette was it?" a small voice said. Marinette turned her head to see Morgana there huddling a book to her chest.

"Uh yes, that's me," Marinette said, trying not to be confused at her presence.

"May I sit here?" she asked.

She had such a bright glimmer in her eyes, she couldn't say no. Marinette just nodded and gestured to the empty place opposite her. While she was welcome to sit, Marinette wasn't sure of her yet. The last thing she wanted was for her to sit next to her and to knock her to the floor. Wow, Lila had really messed up her trust in people.

"So umm…how was your first day? The first half anyway?" Marinette asked. Morgana was opening her lunch box and pulled out a small sandwich. She nibbled at it, swallowed and answered.

"It has been good. People have been very nice to me. Lila has been very insistent on me sitting next to her. She's very friendly," Morgana answered and Marinette's eye twitched slightly. Great, another sheep. So much for Morgana writing that note. Maybe Marinette had done that herself when she was tired. Then again, she had barely slept due to stress and hateful texts against her.

"Oh Morgana!" a shrill voice sang. Well, shrill in Marinette's ears anyway. Both girls turned to see Lila, Alya, Nino and Adrien (who was practically and unintentionally glued to Lila) were approaching their table. Dear lord, it embarrassed her at how much she used to love him. Then again was it even love to begin with?

"Oh great," Marinette sighed as they came right up to the table. Practically ignoring Marinette. No surprise there.

"Hello…" Morgana said, her voice shrinking.

"How come you're over with Marinette? You know we've tried to talk to you about her," Lila said sweetly. Yeah, I am right here, Marinette inwardly shouted. Morgana nodded her head rapidly, as if she was being interrogated.

"Oh yes, I-I know that. I just wanted to start with people from the back of classes to the front. You know, work my way up," Morgana explained.

"From the back? Girl, you should be up the front with us! It's way more fun," Alya insisted.

"I understand that but it's hard. I would like to do things my way if that's okay. I am sure I can hang out with you some day. I do like hearing your stories though Lila. It's amazing that someone can have so much experience," Morgana said as she dusted her hands and gave a mini applause. Rumour has it, Lila's ego grew three sizes too big that day.

"Oh yes, such vast experience," Marinette deadpanned.

"Marinette, don't be rude," Adrien scolded and Marinette felt her inner organs practically twist at his words. Lila started whimpering again and Alya patted her back comfortingly.

"Girl will you stop being such a brat! After all Lila has done to help you and befriend you," Alya snapped.

"Not cool," Nino said with a glare. Wow I guess being a childhood friend means nothing anymore.

"Oh d-dear, she seems upset. Maybe you should take her to the bathroom to wash her face," Morgana said. "I-I promise we can hang out soon."

"Good idea. Here's my number," Alya said, placing a little piece of paper down as they all headed off, with Adrien giving Marinette one more disappointed look.

Usually that would bother Marinette. But something seemed different. Did Morgana intentionally get rid of the group? Or was she imagining this. She was losing her marbles. The girls continued to eat in silence for the rest of the lunch hour as Morgana placed Alya's number in her phone.

The end of the day came and while the day had brightened up, Marinette's mood had not. Having you shoes filled with some sort of green substance in gym class was not something she wanted to deal with when she came back to change. She figured it had to be Alya's doing here. Most others had called her names but Alya and most definitely Lila, were the ones doing physical things. Most others just led to name calling, rumours and other things.

Marinette was now sitting in her room with a wet towel over her eyes to sooth the burning sensation in them. She also had a large cup of coffee and a pastry next to her for energy.

"Well this is great. Lila has another puppet to use against me," Marinette grumbled.

"I don't know Marinette. Something seemed funny about her. I don't know what it is but still," Tikki said thoughtfully.

"Like what? To be honest I don't see why people aren't fawning over her more. I mean she's come from an elite school. She's bound to be talented when she opens up more," Marinette said as she took the towel off her eyes and continued to design her latest album commission for Jagged.

"People are different. She might not want to brag about her talents. She is probably aware that it will come across as arrogant," Tikki answered.

"Well, that still doesn't answer anything about the note," Marinette said as she raised her eye slightly up to see the note now pinned to her almost bare covered wall. She only posted up designs now. She had the old photos of Adrien and her friends in the corner; not entirely sure on what to do with them.

"I don't see it as a bad thing. Seems you have a secret ally," Tikki said as she floated up to examine the note.

"It's no good if the person is secret Tikki," Marinette said. Adrien had crossed her mind, but the writing didn't match up. She wasn't aware if anyone else knew, or if Lila had been blackmailing them to keep quiet. Adrien had made his position clear and she is making no more effort to say anything to him. His denseness was so solid it was like headbutting a desk.

"Marinette! Someone is here to see you! Can I send them up!" Sabine called suddenly, snapping Marinette out of her thoughts and causing Tikki to hide.

"Who is it?" Marinette called.

"A friend!" Sabine called back, making Marinette slam her head on the table. Oh, what was the use. She wouldn't get a straight answer and she didn't fancy explaining her dilemmas to her mother. Her friends barely came by the bakery anymore so who knows who it was.

"Okay, come up," Marinette said wearily. She closed her screens and hid her client work, just in case and she turned to see…Morgana coming up the stairs and shutting the door behind her.

"Hello," Morgana said with a smile.

"Morgana! How do you know where I live?" Marinette blurted out, and almost kicked herself for being rude. Morgana chuckled.

"I uh…am aware of the best bakery in Paris is local here. Just so happens that I recognised your name and put two and two together," Morgana said shyly and Marinette practically sweat dropped at that well-known fact.

"Yeah it's a curse," Marinette said.

"Y-yeah, my parents are going to be super jealous," Morgana said as she patted her now full stomach. Sabine of course had insisted on having treats downstairs and due to how delicious they looked, well how could she say no?

"Well, have a seat," Marinette said, gesturing to a nearby soft fabric stool. Morgana took off her satchel and placed it on the floor. She looked around the room with interest, noting how bare the walls were.

"You have lovely parents. You are lucky," Morgana said with a smile.

"Yeah I am," Marinette said with a genuine smile.

"So may I ask what you are working on?" Morgana asked politely.

Marinette twitched slightly as she went to responded but remembered how important the client's privacy was. Now that she was rising in the industry, she had to remember the rules. She used to talk to her friends about this but gave up after Lila fed them something better. But aside from that, clients had a right to privacy and only when the commission was finished, could she put it on her website. Some clients actually asked her not to post on the website, which she respected. This was the world of business. She was scared and nervous but determined.

"Oh, I was just typing up the essay Miss Bustier set today," Marinette answered. Morgana blinked and nodded.

"Ah yes. I finished that essay before I came over," Morgana said.

"Really? That was fast," Marinette said in surprise.

It took her at least a few hours to finish up any essay from a teacher, counting out mistakes and rewording. She started to feel a bit cautious as Morgana crossed a leg over on the other. She placed one hand in her lap and adjusted her glasses with the other.

"You seem surprised," she said. Her voice didn't seem shy anymore.

"Oh, I didn't mean to offend you. I should expect I really, you did come from such an elite school. You know your stuff," Marinette said in all honesty. She completely forgot about that fact.

"Yes, I do. I know a lot of things, stuff that would surprise you," Morgana said with a light chuckle.

"What can you read my mind or something?" Marinette joked with a laugh. It was the first proper laugh she'd had in a while.

"No but I know you're working on a commission for Jagged Stone while on four hours sleep whilst having actually completed said essay and waiting on the marked results," Morgana said blandly.

"Eh?" Marinette squeaked as she froze in her seat.

"Want an explanation?" she asked.

"…Yes" Marinette said, extremely nervous now and she could sense Tikki across the room feeling the same too. Was she actually an undercover akuma? A creation of Mayura?

"You took no notice of the class today, took no notes, even though you know that this is an important essay for your final results later in the year. Based on the lack of books you had in your satchel, it's obvious that you are taking classes online. Presumably so you can learn more than you can from Bustier's disturbingly dull class. Ms Mendeleiev is most likely the person you are submitting to as she is one of the more competent ones," she began.

"Wha…" Marinette said in disbelief. She said this all so sweetly it scared her.

"Then of course there was the four hours of sleep. Your entire body has slight tremors every few seconds, showing that your body is fighting against the tiredness; the coffee seems to be having an impact too. You daze out when you're lost in thought which I examined at lunch and saw the bags under your eyes which stand out with your pale complexion which is due to the lack of food, sleep and drink. As for your commission, it's clear its someone high profile or you wouldn't have a closed window. From your twitch and jaw click when I asked, you took into consideration of your client's privacy which I applaud. I took a guess with Jagged as I saw him in an interview raving about your glasses. Shot in the dark there. So, did I come close?" Morgana finished.

"How…when…what?" Marintte spluttered. She had been taking observations of her all the time?! Is that why she had been so quiet? Was she doing this to give info to Lila?

"I'm not a spy," Moragna said.

"Okay how are you doing that?" Marinette finally said. Morgana leaned back and shrugged.

"Common sense," was the answer.

"Why didn't you say straight away? Instead of the speech?" Marinette asked, her heart rate calming down but still alert.

"I wanted to see how far you'd go with your little lie about what you were doing. I don't appreciate it. I like to lay out the facts," Morgana said as she adjusted her glasses again.

"But…why?" Marintette said. She hated that she was using so little words; she felt like a fool but she had never come across someone with this this…intelligence.

"It's like I said before," Morgana said, her voice then changing from French to a smooth and silky British accent that sent chills down Marinette's spine. The light around her eyes seemed to darken as her emerald eyes seemed to glow.

"I don't like liars either."

Ooh so she isn't French! This is even more interesting! I hope you enjoyed. Reviews appreciated. I will try to update soon. Bye for now!
